In the Davenports' kitchen.

Bree and Chase are at the counter and Leo makes cereal "After school today is the big Death Spiral Smackdown. Me and Adam are gonna unleash the fury! You guys gonna come watch?" Leo asks.

"We'd love to, but we're gonna go to the mall and check out the escalator. I finally mastered the art of stepping off without tripping" Chase says excitedly.

"Ooh, um, were we supposed to do that today? Shoot, I-I can't make it. I have a really big test to study for" Bree says "What?" Chase says upset.

Chase sighs "Okay, fine. I just hope those old ladies are there again to clap for me" Chase says

"Never had this cereal before" Leo takes a bowl of cereal "No, Leo! Those are power pellets" Bree says.

"I don't care what they're called, as long as they make my milk chocolaty" Leo smiles "No. They're bite-sized pieces of adrenaline that activate our bionics" Chase says.

"Yeah, but, we don't eat them anymore because we learned how to active them ourselves" Bree says They taste like dog treats without the livery aftertaste" Chase smiles, Bree and Leo look at him strangely "I'm guessing" Chase says, he obviously did it.

"Well, I guess I'll just have these" Leo takes a box of cereal "Careful, Leo! Those are Powdered Sugar Cookie Donut O's. Studies have shown they slow down your brain activity" Chase says.

Adam walks in he gasps "Yummy Powdered Sugar Cookie Donut O's!" Adam says excitedly taking the cereal box, Chase shrugs and he and Bree leave.

At the school.

McKayla and Caitlin are talking to Bree in the hallway.

"So do you guys feel like going out today?" McKayla asks "Totally!" Bree says excitedly.

"Uh...so Bree...you don't want to invite Chase too?" McKayla nonchalantly says "What? No!" Bree says.

Caitlin looks at McKayla and whispers "if you want to go out with him why don't you ask him?" Caitlin says, McKayla rolls her eyes and crosses her arms.

"Wait, do you want to go out with Chase?" Bree asks, McKayla's eyes widen "Uh W-well, you know Adam and Leo will be at the Death Spiral Smackdown and...He's cool, I thought maybe he would...add something more to the group" McKayla frowns at her excuse.

No one suspects McKayla's crush on Chase, she has a lot of affinity with many people so this goes unnoticed by everyone, including Chase.

Bree shakes her head "Believe me, no!" Bree says "Also, it's just the girls!" Caitlin smiles, McKayla makes a mocking face at her.

Caitlin is the only person in the world who knows about McKayla's feelings for Chase, but she doesn't approve, for her, McKayla could find a guy much better than him.

The school bell rings, Chase and Leo walk down the hall and see Bree and the girls.

"What is Bree still doing here? She said she had to study for a test" Chase says "Yeah, she's not studying for a test" Leo says, Chase galres at him.

Chase activates his bionic hearing to hear what they are talking about.

"So, Bree, I was thinking we could go to the park and fish spare change out of the fountain. Last week, I made a buck seventy-three!" Caitlin says excitedly "I got fifty because someone stole it from me!" McKayla says to Caitlin.

"you threw it back!" Caitlin says "I specifically told you I was going to make a wish!" McKayla says irritated.

"Whatever we do, I have to avoid my brother. I totally ditched him to hang out with you guys!" Bree says, McKayla frowns "Don't you think that's a little mean?" McKayla says "You have a brother you know how it is!" Bree says.

McKayla presses her lips together just thinking "Yeah but my brother is Trent your brother is a sweetie" but she wasn't going to say that.

"She lied to me!" Chase says "Wow. Millions of dollars of technology for you to get a tiny grasp of the obvious" Leo says sarcastically, Chase rolls his eyes.

"She thinks she can ditch me and get away with it? Ohh. She is going down...Mr. Davenport gave me an Override App so in an emergency situation, I can take over Adam and Bree's bionics" Chase smile.

Chase puts his fingers on his temple "Connect to Bree"Chase says as he connects the Override app to Bree.

He starts slapping himself lightly in the face, causing Bree to do the same, Bree starts slapping herself in the face and McKayla and Caitlin look at her scared.

"Ow! Ow! Ow! Why am I hitting myself?" Bree says confused "That's what I ask you!?" McKayla says confused, Chase and Leo laugh.

"Time to wake up, Bree! Not sleepy anymore! Wake up!" Bree says while still hitting herselfBree says while still hitting herself.

Caitlin shakes her head in fear "We were friends with a self-slapper once. I'm not going down that road again! Let's go Mack!" Caitlin pulls McKayla by the arm "Cait wait!" McKayla tries to stay but Caitlin pulls her hard by the arm and they both leave.

Chase and Leo continue to laugh.

McKayla and Caitlin are in the school hallways.

"I wonder what happened to Bree this morning, it was super weird" Caitlin says "Give her a break, she just started at a new school after years of studying at home, it's stressful...We can't judge, we don't know how difficult things may be for her" McKayla says.

Caitlin sighs "Maybe you're right..." Caitlin says "and you don't have any credit to give you the right to call others weird!" McKayla says "What?" Caitlin says "Yeah you heard me" McKayla adjusts her bag on her shoulder and Caitlin rolls her eyes.

Bree walks up to them "Hey, guys. Sorry about earlier. It's this new school...It's got me all slap-happy" Bree chuckles awkwardly as across the hall Chase connects the Override app to Bree again.

"That's okay. We all have our moments" Caitlin says "Yeah Bree, we understand" McKayla smiles "Great" Bree says and Chase makes her start speaking gibberish

McKayla and Caitlin frown in fear again "Bree, you're having a lot of moments!" Caitlin says leaving "No, it's just, um, I speak Swedish" Bree says "That.. wasn't Swedish" McKayla says.

Chase makes Bree speak in Spanish "Me cumpleaños es una día muy importante" Bree says, Chase laughs.

"A-And Spanish" Bree laughs nervously, Chase puts his fingers to his temple again.

"S'up, ladies? How you livin'?" Bree says in a flirtatious tone to the girls, McKayla and Caitlin look at each other scared "And man-ish" Bree says.

"I don't know what happened. She wasn't this weird last week!" Caitlin says to the other girls, McKayla chuckles "That's not true" McKayla says, not that that's a bad thing, McKayla has always found it amusing.

Caitlin leaves and the other girls go with her, Bree looks at McKayla worried "Relax Bree, I'll talk to her" McKayla says quickly putting her hand on Bree's shoulder and leaving.

Bree looks around and warns Chase, she goes to him with an angry look "You did this to me. You're using that stupid Override App" Bree says "Yep, because you lied to me" Chase says

"Well, since you used bionics on me, I'm gonna use mine on you. And beware. It's coming when you least expect it" Bree says threateningly "Ooh! Those are big words coming from the manly Spanish-speaking Swede" Chase smirks and leaves.

Everyone will watch Adam and Leo in the death spiral

Chase stops in the middle of the gym to watch and Bree looks at him "All right, Chase, time for a little bionic revenge" Bree smirk

She uses super speed while no one is watching to rip Chase's shirt and put a wig and clown nose on him.

Everyone starts laughing at him and he notices his clothes "Aah! What the..?" Chase says, everyone laughs, McKayla opens her eyes wide and puts her hand over her mouth without understanding how that happened to him.

"You will pay for this!" Chase says irritated, he rips off the tail that was stuck to his clothes, he leaves angry.

McKayla goes to Bree "wait how did you do that?" McKayla asks "I'm very agile" Bree smiles and leaves, McKayla watches her leave in confusion.

The next day at the final of the death spiral.

"Whoever claimed the drum major uniform yesterday from the lost and found, it's not yours! Give it back!" Perry shouts to students.

McKayla enters the gym and ends up accidentally bumping into Chase who is wearing several layers of clothes, he loses his balance and McKayla grabs his arm.

"Why are you wearing so many clothes like that?" McKayla asks as Chase regains his balance.

"I think you know why" Chase says frustrated "Yeah the clown nose" McKayla chuckles, Chase sees Bree who has aluminum foil wrapped around her neck.

"excuse me" Chase says politely to McKayla who moves out of his way and lets him go to Bree.

"All those clothes, and you couldn't find something to cover your face?" Bree says "Go ahead. Try to humiliate me. I have 36 items of clothing on" Chase says.

"Why would I try? You're humiliating yourself" Bree says"Oh, yeah? Well, the tin man called. He wants his neck back" Chase says.

"It's to deflect your stupid App from connecting to my chip. It's the heavy duty kind they use in restaurants" Bree says.

They notice that several students laugh at them "Hey! Go mind your own business!" McKayla says irritated, pushing them away

"Look what you've done. Everyone thinks we're weirdos" Bree says "Hey, it's your fault for lying and ditching me" Chase tries to cross his arms with his layers of clothing on.

"I-I didn't want to hurt your feelings. McKayla and Caitlin's the first real friends I've ever had. Just 'cause I want to hang out with them doesn't mean I like you any less" Bree says.

"Yeah, well, I have other friends too now, so..." Chase says, he's clearly lying "That's great. I mean, you should go hang out with them sometimes" Bree says

"Yeah, I don't really have other friends. But I'm gonna go get some." Chase says, Bree thinks "Great, why don't you go out with McKayla?" Bree suggests, as an attempt to help her brother.

"But she's your friend" Chase says "yeah but, I have a feeling she'd like to hang out with you" Bree says, Chase looks down thoughtfully.

"Oh, and before you do that, you might want to lose a layer or two" Bree says "Yeah, and you might want to lose the baked potato neck." Chase says.

After the death spiral ended, McKayla helped tidy up the gym.

Chase sees her, he takes a deep breath looking anxious, he already considers McKayla as a friend, and her kind and charitable way makes him sure that she won't say no to his invitation, that's what he hopes.

Even so, he feels restless, he plays with his fingers nervously as he approaches her, he sighs.

"Hey McKayla, Can I talk to you for a second?" Chase asks McKayla stands up, she was helping to dismantle the death spiral, she wipes her hands full of dust on her pants and looks at him.

"Sure!" McKayla says "Uh...I think you saw that Bree...kind of ditched me out today" Chase says, McKayla sighs "Look I would never tell her to do that" McKayla tries to justify herself "No, No! I'm not blaming you" Chase chuckles gently.

"It's just that the fact that she did this is because she needs time to spend with her friends and... I came to the conclusion that it would also be good for me to spend time with my friends too" Chase says nervously without looking at her.

McKayla raises her eyebrow trying to understand his point "The thing is...I'm going to the mall today, do you want to come with me?" Chase says with a look that already expects a no.

McKayla takes a deep breath "Uh...you're saying...just you and me, hang out?" McKayla says she wants a clear justification of what that would be before she jumps to conclusions.

"Well Yeah, I mean if you want...I know you're friends with Bree too so if you have plans with her i..." "I'd love to hang out with you!!" McKayla says exaggeratedly excited, Chase looks at her confused.

McKayla clears her throat and takes a step back "I would love to go to the mall with you" McKayla says more calmly.

"Okay, so I'll see you later?" Chase asks a little less nervous and more relieved "Of course! And about making friends I know a boy who works at the arcade and you guys would definitely be friends" McKayla smiles.

Chase feels his heart warm to see that besides accepting the invitation, she is determined to help him make friends, part of him wanted this to be something unique for him, but he knows that she is naturally charitable towards everyone.

"Really?" Chase says "Yeah, Oh he lets me go into the arcade and play all the games for free, we can do that, what do you think?" McKayla says she feels anxious just imagining meeting him outside of school.

Chase doesn't hold back a smile that turns into a gentle giggle "Okay! Sounds fun to me!" Chase says "Okay, see ya!" McKayla leaves and takes a deep breath and lets it out with a smile.
