McKayla continued attending boring dance classes where she just sat in the corner and watched because she was too proud to admit that it wasn't even close to her dream.

Not only because of that, but she couldn't stop thinking about what her father would say about her abandoning all that.

But there comes a time when enough is enough.

After a week of insisting.

McKenzie was drinking coffee in the kitchen while doing a crossword puzzle when McKayla came down the stairs with a suitcase in each hand.

She drops her bags on the floor and sighs with a smile at her grandmother, McKenzie raises her eyebrow "What does that mean?" McKenzie says "I'm going backpacking trip through Europe!" McKayla says sarcastically with her hands on her hips.

"Good luck Mini Mack, if you're going through a forest, watch out for bears" McKenzie continues the joke taking a sip of coffee, McKayla giggles "Seriously, grandma! I want to go home" McKayla approaches the table.

"I miss my mom, my dad. I want to know if Trent got in trouble and most importantly I want to feel part of it all again" McKayla says "And I want my friends, Chase back" she thinks.

McKenzie smiles "Are you sure about this. Because this time there will be no going back" McKenzie says, McKayla takes a deep breath "This is not my place, these are not my people" McKayla says.

McKenzie nods "Okay, I'll book the tickets back" McKenzie says, McKayla smiles excitedly and hugs her grandma "Let's go back to Mission Creek!" McKayla smiles wildly.

In the school cafeteria.

Bree is in the lunch line while Flo, the lunch lady, is putting food on her plate, Perry walks behind Flo.

"You double-crossed me for the last time, Flo! First, I catch you smuggling fish sticks in your panty hose and then you think you can walk all over me just because you look debonair in a hairnet?" Perry says irritated and Flo rolls her eyes.

Flo smacks mashed potatoes on Bree's plate. Bree pulls out a massive hair "Wow, hm, well, I guess the hair net's just for show. Yew!" Bree throws the hair on the floor, and walks to the table with the boys.

"Okay, heads up, stay away from Principal Perry." Bree says "Trust me, that's the first thing I tell myself every morning when I wake up." Leo says "Really? The first thing I tell myself is shaving cream only looks like food." Adam says.

Perry pops up next to Flo "What's the matter, Flo, nervous? You should be! One more mess-up and I will take you out!" Perry says and Flo walks away, Leo turns to look at Perry curiously.

"What are you looking at?" Perry asks irritated "You keep me asking that question and I'm still not sure I can give you an honest answer." Leo tilts his head "Mind your own business! If I wanted to be stared all day I'd still be a catalog model for Burt's Chainsaws." Perry walks away.

Adam starts makes weird faces while looking across the room "Adam, what are you doing? Why do you keep making faces like you're taking a selfie?" Bree asks.

"'Cause that girl Sabrina has been checking me out." Adam says, Sabrina gets up and walks toward their table.

"Ooh, here she comes" Adam gets up too "Hey, Sabrina. I couldn't help but notice you staring at me from across the room." Adam smiles confidently "Actually, I was looking at Chase." Sabrina says "Oh, a sense of humor. I like it! So..." Adam says but Sabrina turns away from Adam to Chase.

"Chase, I wanted to talk to you about our chemistry project." Sabrina says "Sure, I'll do it for you. Just give me your email and I'll send it to you when I'm done." Chase says and takes his cup.

"No, I want to do the project with you." Sabrina says, Chase spits out his drink in shock "What?!" He thinks.

"I can't" He thinks "I need a partner and I was hoping you'd team up with me." Sabrina says, Adam, Bree, and Leo look at Chase, stunned

"Uh..." Chase says confused "Chase, this is when you speak." Bree says "Okay Chase stay calm" he thinks.

"I don't..." Chase starts and takes a deep breath anxiously, Bree and Leo frowns "If you say no it's going to be rude. Okay, calm down it's just a project" he thinks.

Chase gets up "Um...yeah, yeah that sounds great. Um, meet at my house after school?" Chase says nervously "Perfect." Sabrina smiles and goes back to her table.

"Wow" Chase says stunned "a girl asked me to be her partner" Chase says "That's great" Leo says, Chase shakes his head.

"Is it because of McKayla?" Bree asks "Dude, maybe this is good for you to get over her" Leo says "I don't want to get over her, that's not how it works" he thinks.

Adam shakes his head in disbelief and pours ice cubes down his shirt, Chase looks at him frowning "Are you crazy?" Chase says "What'd you do that for?" Leo asks.

"I'm trying to wake myself up. If a girl likes Chase over me, this has to be a nightmare." Adam says "She doesn't like me" Chase says "Chase, we've been through this before, she likes you" Bree says, Chase sighs and looks up.

The normal guy would be extremely excited for a girl to be interested in him. But he doesn't feel comfortable with that, even though McKayla isn't his girlfriend, he feels committed to her somehow.

McKayla returns home and is greeted by her parents.

"It's so good to have you back darling" Brooke hugs her daughter "And don't worry we're already very proud of you for trying" Brooke says gently.

"Thanks mom. I really tried but I knew I wouldn't be happy there like I am here with you" McKayla says "What matters is your happiness Baby" Brooke says as they walk to the door of the house with their suitcases.

Mason sighs "You didn't abandon all that just because of the bionic boy, right?" Mason asks in a tone of disapproval that chills McKayla "Yeah, it was a bit because of that" she thinks.

"Of course not" McKayla says, Brooke hits Mason's arm "Stop. She did it to herself" Brooke says "Exactly!" McKayla says "Great because he's not worth all that sacrifice. Don't let him be the reason you abandon your dreams, listen to what I say" Mason says "He might be worth" McKayla thinks with a stubble of hope.

"Mason" Brooke puts her bags on the couch "I'm not going to let my daughter ruin her life because of a boy, I don't care if he's bionic or not" Mason tells Brooke, McKayla grits her teeth, hearing that makes her feel a bitter taste in her throat "Maybe I did crazy things because of him but I didn't ruin my life, after all today I intend to...get an answer" she thinks.

"That's enough Mason. I thought you ware over it" Brooke says walking past him "And I am, I'm one step closer to considering him a family acquaintance..." Mason says, McKayla frowns "Fine, a family friend. But still, no one is more important than yourself McKayla!" Mason points to her.

Mason leaves leaving McKayla in the room, reflecting on her father's thoughts but her thoughts are soon interrupted when Trent comes down the stairs "Mack you're back!" Trent smiles "Trenty!" McKayla smiles wildly and runs to her brother.

"I knew you'd be back soon" Trent breaks the hug "Tell the truth, I couldn't stand Grandma's house, it must smell like old people there" Trent says, McKayla grins "A thousand times more pleasant than the unidentified smell coming from your room" McKayla says sarcastically, Trent rolls his eyes "I missed you" Trent smiles.

"I missed you too bro" McKayla gives her brother a friendly punch on the arm.

"Look, I'm going to watch a basketball game and I have a spare ticket, do you want to come?" Trent asks "Actually I think I'm going to go to the Davenports' house" McKayla says "Oh I see, told Chase you're back?" Trent says.

"Uh, I didn't decide to surprise you" McKayla raises her shoulders with a delicate smile "Okay then, have fun with your boyfriend..." Trent says taking the keys and cell phone and putting it in his pocket and for the first time McKayla didn't talk back to Trent when he referred to Chase as her boyfriend.

"but don't have too much fun" Trent smirks heading to the door, McKayla rolls her eyes "Have fun at the basketball game" McKayla says "Duh!" Trent says and leaves, McKayla sighs with a smile.

"Good to be back" she thinks.

A little later, McKayla was heading over to the Davenports' house.

Walking calmly down the street enjoying how peaceful the neighborhood was, something that was hard to see on the busy streets of Chicago.

McKayla sees the Davenports' house, but as she gets closer she notices Sabrina knocking on the door "What is Sabrina doing here?" McKayla wonders.

McKayla slows down as she watches Chase open the door for Sabrina with a smile, Sabrina apparently responds with a friendly smile and suddenly hugs Chase.

McKayla stops walking in the same second, forgetting to even breathe trying to understand the scene. Chase seems surprised by the hug and gives a gentle smile when Sabrina pulls away from him and he invites her to come in.

McKayla remembers taking a breath when she sees Chase closing the door, seemingly content, she lets out a shaky breath and presses her lips together looking around the empty street which gradually becomes a blurred vision due to the tears filling her eyes.

"He moved on quickly huh" she thinks as she squeezes her eyes shut so the tears flow all at once, She can't think about anything else as the pain she feels in her chest is overwhelming and the lump in her throat seems to increase every second.

It never crossed her mind that seeing Chase with another girl would shake her so much but that was like the last straw for her. She turns around, heading in the opposite direction of the house, trying to hold back her tears.

She texts Paige saying she was going to her house.

A little later in the living room.

Chase and Sabrina are working on a project in which they need to assemble a model of a molecule.

"I can't believe how fast you're putting this molecular model together." Sabrina says as she and Chase work "I can't believe you're still here." Chase says with a nervous smile.

He quickly looks at his cell phone on the end of the table, McKayla hadn't texted him all day and that was worrying him "what if she's with another guy too" he can't help but think about it when he looks at Sabrina next to him.

"You know what I like about you, besides being charming and funny?" Sabrina says gently, Adam walks in "Well, it would have to be something else because he's neither of those." Adam says "Seriously?!" Chase thinks.

"You're nice, polite, and even though you're bionic, you don't feel the need to impress me with your muscles." Sabrina says, Chase looks down and smiles shyly "Yeah, she's a nice girl I must admit...but she's not McKayla" he thinks.

"Probably because he doesn't have any." Adam says "Will you excuse me?" Chase walks to the other side of the room with Adam "Would you give it up? Not the reason for you to act like this, I'm just doing a school work with her" Chase says quietly "Although the fact that it's another girl who likes me and not you is really amazing!" he thinks.

"This doesn't make any sense. She is way out of your league. She should like me. Okay? I gave her my selfie face. Girls can't resist this." Adam starts making weird faces.

"Well, she just did. Want to know why? Make those faces and look in the mirror and you'll get the answer!" Chase pats Adam on the back and walks back to Sabrina.

"Hey, sorry about Adam. Now what do you say we get back to our atom?" Chase can't help but make this joke, Sabrina laughs, Adam joins in on laughter but trails off "I don't get it." Adam says, Chase and Sabrina start laughing at Adam as he leaves the room.

Meanwhile Trent was at the basketball game.

The team he supports was losing and he didn't hold back in demonstrating "Pass the ball!!" Trent screams amidst the excited crowd.

The other team makes a point "No!! Booooo!" Trent screams "No!" The guy next to him boos the team and in the excitement of the moment he ends up accidentally spilling his beer on his lap "Ah man, those pants were brand new!!" the guy complains while Trent quickly looks at him as he goes back to sit in the stands.

The guy gets up and leaves, revealing the woman sitting on the other side of him, Blair.

"Oh come on man!! There's a free guy right there!!" Blair shouts at the player and this gets Trent's attention.

Trent frowns in surprise "Blair?!" Trent says, Blair looks at him "Trent! Hi!" Blair smiles gently brushing her hair out of her face.

"Hey! What are you doing here?" Trent says "I love basketball" Blair says "Do you?" Trent asks "Well it's a recent passion, I watched Space Jam recently and it sparked a nostalgic interest in me" Blair says with a shy shrug.

Trent chuckles "I love this movie" Trent says "you look like you like this kind of movie" Blair says sarcastically "What do you mean by that?" Trent says "Relax isn't a bad thing" Blair says.

Their team makes a point, Trent doesn't see it because he was focused on her "Wooo-hooo!!! That's what I'm talking about!!" Blair suddenly shouts and Trent looks at her in surprise, Blair sees his expression and blushes clearing her throat "My bad" Blair says shyly.

Trent smiles "Woo-hoo!!! Yeah that's the team i want!!" Trent shouts at the same just like her, Blair giggles.

Trent notices the pendant on Blair's earrings, little daisies "Uh...are those daisies on your earrings?" Trent asks, Blair puts her hand on her ear and looks at him calmly.

After a second without responding she sighs with a smile "Yes" Blair says "and did you buy them recently or...?" Trent asks out of curiosity.

"They were my grandmother's, she gave them to me about two years ago because... daisies are my favorite flower" Blair says, Trent doesn't hide his surprised face "Oh!" Trent says.

He clears his throat and goes back to paying attention to the game "I would never guess" Trent says trying to hide it while Blair looks at him tilting her head, she holds her earring and contains her smile by pressing her lips.

In the living room of the Davenports' house.

Chase and Sabrina just finished a model of the molecule.

"It's beautiful. And it only took us 4 hours to finish it." Sabrina says "Actually it was 3 hours 47 minutes, or 13,620 seconds." Chase smiles proudly, Sabrina frowns slightly at him "McKayla likes it when I do that" he thinks "4 hours is good." Chase says.

"So I'll see you tomorrow at school?" Chase asks "Well, yeah, but I don't have to go home right away." Sabrina says "Oh. You wanna do Thursday's homework, too." Chase smiles.

"No, I was hoping we could just... hang out." Sabrina suggests "Hang out, yes, right! I... I keep forgetting you actually like me." Chase laughs with slight frustration "I'm not sure if it's a good idea, but what can I do to kick her out? And I know there's an advantage to it...it's driving Adam crazy" he thinks.

"I'll get us some snacks." Chase walks to the kitchen, and Adam walks in.

"Hey! Look, Sabrina's not just using me for help in school. She actually wants to hang out with me." Chase says slightly worried "Hey, good for you." Adam says the insincere while Chase puts chips in a bowl.

"What I do?" Chase asks "Well, with all your experience with girls, you'll know just what to talk about." Adam gives a sarcastic smile.

Chase looks at Adam nervously "Adam!" Chase says "I'm sure you'll figure it out. I'd help, but, she likes you, not me. You! You, you, you. You." Adam scoffs "But I like another girl" Chase thinks.

Adam walks up to Sabrina, Chase follows him "Hey Sabrina, I just wanna apologize to both of you for my inappropriate, yet hilarious comments earlier. I'm actually glad you two are hitting it off." Adam says as Chase walks over to him holding the bowl worried.

Adam didn't even realize why Chase was nervous, not even considering the fact that he wasn't comfortable with Sabrina because he was thinking about McKayla. The jealousy he has of his brother started talking louder.

"Thanks!" Sabrina says "Who knows, you might even be Chase's first kiss." Adam says, Chase's eyes widen "What?!" He thinks indignantly.

"First kiss?" Sabrina says surprise, Adam takes a seat on the couch, Chase starts to get visibly nervous.

"Oh yeah. I mean, he is very shy" Adam tells Sabrina "That's not true, I've had a girlfriend. She was... pretty! She was really, really, really pretty!" Chase says nervously "What a humiliation" he thinks

"I don't remember that. What was her name again?" Adam teases, Chase thinks "Um... McKayla" Chase says he himself is surprised by the answer.

"McKayla was actually your girlfriend?" Sabrina asks "That would be a way out of the situation" Chase thinks "She was...she was" Chase says visibly nervous.

"Oh she was huh?" Adam smirk, Chase begins to breathe heavily "Adam stop it" Chase says nervous, Sabrina notices his nervousness "It's okay to be nervous around girls. I think it's cute." Sabrina smiles gently.

Adam chuckles "Me too." Adam starts making kissing noises and Sabrina laughs, Chase looks visibly panicked and his Commando App kicks in)

"What are you laughing at, Goldilocks?" Spike throws the bowl of chips on the floor, Sabrina looks at him scared "He's back!" Adam says with a satisfied smile "Who's back?" Sabrina asks slightly scared, Spike breathes heavily.

"What's going on?" Sabrina asks "I don't know who you are, but Spike-y like-y!" Spike roars while stretching his muscles while Sabrina sits there in shock and Adam just appreciates it.

Spike is scouting out the room.

"I'm not sure which one of you ladies lives here, but it could really use a man's touch" Spike throws a deck chair away "Much better." Spike goes to the kitchen and rips off the fridge door.

"Adam, what's wrong with him?" Sabrina asks shocked, Spike starts tossing carrots across the room "What is wrong with him? The guy's a total mess." Adam laughs.

"Let's get to know me. I'm sensitive, caring, sensitive... What else do you like about Chase?" Adam asks Sabrina "Hey! Back off, pretty boy! That's daddy's kitten." Spike says going to Adam

"Trust me, you don't wanna do this." Adam says "You're right. It'd be rude to make the lady watch me rip out your intestines. Which is why we're gonna do it over there." Spike says threatening Adam "watch this, toots." Spike tells Sabrina and grabs Adam.

"You think you can throw me across the room? Good luck" Spike throws Adam across the room.

Spike flirtingly roars to Sabrina, who makes a disgusting face.

At Paige's house.

McKayla got there crying and Paige immediately brought her inside and made her hot chocolate to calm her down, McKayla was in Paige's bed still crying.

"So he was with another girl? Maybe they're just friends" Paige says "Friends like me and him are friends?" McKayla says tearfully.

"No, I meant that maybe it's not what you think" Paige says, McKayla sighs "I thought I was the only one" McKayla sobs, Paige sighs with pity, while McKayla feels pain and jealousy that she never felt before.

McKayla tries to take a sip of hot chocolate to calm down, she wipes her tears and sniffs "Maybe my dad is right, It's not worth investing so much because every time I try, everything goes wrong" McKayla whimpers "No, Mack!" Paige says.

Paige puts the hot chocolate aside and hugs her friend "why is everything going wrong?!" McKayla sobs on Paige's shoulder "No, maybe it's just time for you to look at life differently" Paige says.

"What do you mean?" McKayla says "Maybe the problem isn't Chase, after all we don't know exactly his side of the story... But you think too much about whether he feels the same way as you or not. That you rarely focus on yourself and how you're feeling about yourself" Paige says.

McKayla appreciates the back rub her friend gives her as she pays attention to her words, "Look, you said that when you were in Chicago, and you danced in the cafeteria, it was a liberating experience especially because you enjoyed your moment without thinking about what others were thinking of you" Paige sets the example.

"I feel this way every time I dance" McKayla says "And life is a dance Mack, your dance is yours alone. You spent your whole life caring and thinking only about others that maybe you never stopped thinking about You!" Paige says, McKayla looks at her confused.

"That's why the dance academy in Chicago was a disappointment for you from the first second, because maybe you yourself still don't know your dream" Paige says, McKayla looks at the mug in her hand.

"Mack, I can't answer for Chase's feelings. I don't know his feelings for this girl..." Paige says sincerely, McKayla sighs with that feeling of jealousy and pain lingering inside her "I don't want to feel like this" she thinks.

"But I know that I can't see you that bad anymore, because of him, because of the academy, because of yourself. You were always very lucky to be a popular and loved girl as a child. Luckily things have always been easy for you because you always had people to protect you like your father and brother..." Paige says, McKayla frowns.

"But now it's your turn to use all the strength within you to start protecting your beautiful heart of gold yourself" Paige says, McKayla takes a deep breath receiving the outpouring of words that her friend just has said.

"I don't understand, Paige" McKayla says a little calmer "I'm just saying... take some time to focus on you" Paige says, she always thought McKayla was a very sensitive person.

In Paige's opinion, McKayla needed to become at least a little stronger because otherwise every disappointment in life would bring her down, Paige hated seeing McKayla sad.

Mainly because she thought that McKayla was the last person in the world who deserved to be sad, because of her good and kind heart. This was Paige's way of trying to awaken an unshakable strength that she always felt that was inside McKayla.

McKayla puts the hot chocolate aside and hugs Paige "Maybe you're right" McKayla says softly, but she couldn't control the feeling of disappointment and this heartbreak of seeing Chase together with Sabrina.

McKayla with all her sensitivity took this harder than she herself could have predicted, she takes a deep breath and reflects on Paige's words as Paige hugged McKayla and caressed her friend's head.

At the Davenports' house.

Sabrina is hiding behind the couch while Adam and Spike fight in the living room.

"Hey! Let's play catch. I'll throw, you catch with your face." Spike throws glass objects at Adam that miss and hit the wall. Adam uses his heat vision but misses Spike.

Spike flips over planter and uses metal pot to deflect Adam's heat vision, hitting him with the pot. Spike charges at Adam and swoops him up, pinning him against the wall.

"Guys, please stop! You're scaring me." Sabrina says "Don't worry, sweetheart. It'll all be over soon. Unless you want him to suffer. Whatever the lady wants." Spike puts Adam down and smashes ceramic over his head.

Adam groans "Okay, that hurt." Adam tackles Spike onto the couch and they roll over onto the floor next the molecule model, almost breaking it.

"Don't break the molecule!" Sabrina says "Oh, oh, that was close" Adam says "Sure was." Spike destroys the molecule.

"No! Why would you do that?" Sabrina says upset "Relax, princess. I'll make you a new one. Out of his spine." Spike flexes, Sabrina shakes her head "You are so not who I thought you were. I'm out of here." Sabrina says.

"You'll come back. They always come back." Spike says, Sabrina laughs out of disgust and leaves "She's not coming back." Spike says, Chase's Commando App deactivates.

"The molecule. What happened in here? And where's Sabrina? Oh no. Did Spike show up?" Chase asks Adam worriedly "So you don't remember anything? Like you throwing me across the room?" Adam asks "No." Chase says

"Good, 'cause it never happened." Adam tries to leave "Wait. You activated my Commando App on purpose, didn't you?" Chase says "Of course, I did! Look who you're talking to." Adam says.

Chase gasps indignantly "Sabrina was a nice girl, she didn't deserve to have gone through that. And also you ruined everything and didn't even think twice before doing it, right. because if you had you would have understood what was actually feeling instead of envying." Chase says.

"Chase..." "I wanted your help, you know this is not easy for me, I thought you understood me at least a little" Chase says upset and leaves, Adam sighs.

At the end of the game, Trent and Blair get up from the stands.

"Uh it was nice to see you Blair" Trent says "Don't you want to drink something?" Blair suggests, Trent raises his eyebrows in surprise at the invitation.

"Sure, that would be amazing" Trent says, Blair smiles gently as she starts down the bleacher stairs and Trent follows her.

The court is empty and Trent sees the basketball loose on the court "Hey, check this out" Trent says going to the court and catching the ball he bounces the ball and takes a little spin and makes a basket.

Blair approaches him clapping "Bravo! That's the least I expected from a gym teacher" Blair says sarcastically "Oh! She likes jokes I see" Trent throws her the ball with a smirk.

Blair grins softly and bounces the ball a few times "Do you know what year basketball was created teacher?" Blair says, Trent scoffs confidently "I don't need to know that to teach basketball Mrs Paxton" Trent approaches her.

Blair rolls her eyes with a smile "The emergence of basketball occurred in 1891. The creator of the sport was the Canadian James Naismith," Blair says, Trent smiles "We should thank James then... and not the LeBron James" Trent says.

"Wow!" Blair says sarcastically and then laughs, Trent shrugs with a smile "You're funny" Blair says throwing her hair back "I know" Trent says convinced.

Blair approaches him "Aren't you going to teach me how to play?" Blair says softly, Trent looks at her and swallows hard "Don't you know how to do that, Smarty Girl?" Trent says with a flirty smile.

"Maybe our knowledge complements each other" Blair says, Trent takes a deep breath "Woah.." Trent sighs "I think so" Trent tilts his head.

That night, Trent walked home on the right side of the street while McKayla walked home on the left.

Trent walked happily with a smile on his face, for the first time in his life that smile was for something good, not for some futile and stupid thing he had done.

As McKayla walked slowly with her hands in her pockets, reflective and crestfallen.

The two meet in front of the house "Hi Mack" Trent says, McKayla presses her lips together pretending a smile "Hi Trent" she enters the house.

"Aren't you going to ask how the game went?" Trent asks excitedly as McKayla walks up the stairs without looking at him "How was the game?" McKayla stops on the first step.

"The best time of my life! Blair was there...and I think she was hitting on me!! I think she has a crush on me!!" Trent says excitedly "at least someone is happy" McKayla thinks "That's great Bro, I'm happy for you" McKayla says discouraged but meaning it, she climbs a few more steps on the stairs.

"Wait, how was it with your boyfriend?" Trent asks, McKayla sighs disappointed and doesn't look at him just continues up the stairs "He's not my boyfriend!" McKayla says upset but tries to hide and goes to her room.

McKayla returns to Mission Creek High for the first time since returning from Chicago.

When she gets close to the school door she finds Sabrina who sees her in surprise "Mack" Sabrina approaches her, McKayla looks around taking a long sigh "uhg I deserve it" she thinks frustrated.

"Hey Sabrina" McKayla says "Uh I think you must have found out about me and Chase" Sabrina says, McKayla frowns "Say no, so I'll know what happened" she thinks "Uh I don't know" McKayla says.

"It's just that he and I were working on a project together but... I know about you guys, and I really wanted to know if you would be okay for your if i hanging out with him" Sabrina asks awkwardly, McKayla feels sick but try to ignore the agony by taking a deep breath and lifting her chin to convey confidence.

"Oh well, sure! I mean it's not like you need my permission he's not my boyfriend or anything" McKayla plays with a hair tie in her hand, Sabrina frowns at her comment, she imagined that because of what Chase said the day before, McKayla would at least be his ex.

"Uh okay? So we're good?" Sabrina smiles gently "I like this girl, she's kind and smart. Unfortunately she would be great for Chase" McKayla thinks "Of course, not her to worry about" McKayla says sincerely.

"Cool, I'll see you later in class" Sabrina leaves "of course" McKayla says, she looks down reflectively.

In the main hallway of school.

Chase is on the circular bench in the middle of the hallway "Hey, Chase." Adam walks up to him "Ugh." Chase gets up to leave.

"Look, I've been thinking about what I did to you and Sabrina and I feel kind of bad." Adam says "Kind of bad? You ruined my social life forever." Chase says "Chase, to be fair, you kind of have to have a social life for me to ruin it" Adam says "Why am I still here?" Chase thinks.

"Look, I only did it because I was jealous." Adam says "You were jealous of me?" Chase says "I know, right? I still can't believe it myself." Adam says.

"But I want to make it up to you. So I explained everything to Sabrina and I told her you're the most sensitive, good-hearted dude I know. Okay? She'd be lucky to have a guy like you." Adam says "That's it? No insult?" Chase asks

"Nope. And she wants to see you again tonight." Adam says "I'm still not sure when Sabrina, but I appreciate what Adam did" Chase thinks.

"Wow, thank you. I can't believe you did that for me. It must have been really hard for you." Chase says "Oh, it was. Worst moment of my life." Adam says.

"And I had to rebuild your molecule." Adam walks to his locker"You rebuilt the whole thing?" Chase asks "Yep." Adam takes it out from his locker "Uh, Adam, this isn't a molecule. It's a Weiner dog." Chase says "You see science your way, I see it my way. That's a molecule." Adam leaves.

Chase shakes his head with a smile when McKayla walks in tying her hair which she always kept loose into a messy but charming ponytail, she stops when she sees him.

Chase turns around and smiles "McKayla!" Chase says, McKayla presses her lips "Hi Chase" McKayla says, Chase puts the molecule/weiner dog aside on the bench and go to her.

"You're back!!" Chase doesn't hesitate to hug her, McKayla just pats his back lightly, not returning the hug completely "I missed you so much" Chase says "I missed those smells" he thinks smelling her perfume.

"Yup!" McKayla walks away "Why are you back?" Chase asks "I couldn't fit in at that school unfortunately" McKayla says, Chase scoffs "I can't imagine you not getting along somewhere you're amazing everyone loves you" Chase says.

"Mm-hmm" she thinks sarcastically, McKayla shrugs "It just didn't go the way I thought it would" McKayla says without much enthusiasm "Why didn't you tell me?" Chase asks "I didn't have time" McKayla says.

Chase smiles wildly "I'm glad you're back Macky" Chase says trying to discreetly take her hand which she then puts in her jacket pocket.

"I'm glad to be back" McKayla says and smiles gently "She doesn't look fine, I think Chicago really upset her. Just give her time" Chase thinks.

"See you" McKayla tries to leave "Uh wait! Don't you feel like watching a movie tonight?" Chase says, McKayla looks at him with a serious expression "don't you have plans for tonight?" McKayla says dryly.

Chase frowns "No plan more important than spending time with the girl I love...the one I really love" he thinks "No, I don't have any plans" Chase says, McKayla takes a deep breath "As friends, you can watch a movie" McKayla thinks.

"Okay, see you later" McKayla responds and leaves, Chase sighs.

"She's back! It's life giving you a second chance Chase... don't waste this time" Chase grins at himself, determined.
