McKayla and Brooke just watched a romcom movie together in the living room. Every Thursday McKayla and Brooke have a little slumber party just the two of them.

They make popcorn, buy sweets, wear matching pajamas, today they are wearing pink pajamas, with shorts and a short t-shirt that shows the navel piercings that they both have.

The two are in the final scene of the film where the couple finally kisses "Aaww!!" they both say together "I knew he would come back to be with her!" Brooke says "Obviously mom is the cliché of every romantic movie" McKayla says hugging the popcorn bowl.

"The feelings are the same every time, it's extremely cute" Brooke says taking out a notebook, McKayla smiles "What's the rating of this movie?" Brooke asks looking at the notebook, they wrote down all the films they watched and rated them.

"Um, I give it a 8" McKayla says "Because the soundtrack is disjointed?" Brooke says "That and because they didn't give the necessary focus to the protagonist's relationship with her family, they had a lot to resolve that wasn't resolved," McKayla explains.

"Okay, so an 8" Brooke writes down, McKayla stands up "Do you want more popcorn mom?" McKayla asks "Nope, I'm going to make hot chocolate, do you want it?" Brooke gets up.

"Look who are you talking to?" McKayla says, Brooke puts her arm around her daughter, sometimes she forgets to act like a mother around McKayla, she sees her as more than her daughter but her best friend and they end up acting like it.

They go to the kitchen, McKayla takes out her cell phone and answers a message from Chase "Who are you talking to?" Brooke asks, McKayla tilts her head with a shy smile.

"Oooh got it" Brooke chuckles "Not what are you thinking mom" McKayla says, she puts her cell phone aside "I know sweetie" Brooke says.

Brooke sighs "I love Chase, he's good for you" Brooke says preparing the hot chocolates "I love him so much mom" McKayla leans on the table.

"Aww" Brooke says with a smile "Too bad dad is... complicated" McKayla says "Your dad just wants to protect you, but I understand he's stubborn. It's hard for him to accept that you're growing up, that's all" Brooke says.

"Yeah but I wish he would just trust me more, I know what I'm doing, Chase is an amazing guy and he has a good heart...He would never hurt me" McKayla says with a delicate smile "I know, I can see it, and I see that he really likes you too" Brooke says, McKayla tucks her hair behind her ear.

"And if something has already happened between you guys, you don't need to be afraid to tell me" Brooke says softly and winks, McKayla laughs "if I had I would have told you already" McKayla says "Aw" Brooke makes an upset face.

"But I really wanted Dad to like him" McKayla says slightly upset "Daughter, this situation with your father will never be resolved if you don't do something about it" Brooke says "What can I do?" McKayla asks, Brooke thinks a little.

"Look, your grandma is coming to town this weekend, we're having a family dinner... why don't you invite him to dinner with us?" Brooke suggests, McKayla scoffs "Are you crazy mom, putting Chase face to face with dad at a dinner, No way" McKayla says.

"Not to mention Chase is going to freak out" McKayla thinks.

"Honey, your dad needs to talk to Chase and get to know him better to see what we see, a family dinner where your grandma and I can support you is a great way to do that" Brooke says "What about Trent?" McKayla asks "I think you can handle your brother on your own" Brooke smile.

McKayla throws her head back and sighs "And I really want to talk to him, I'd love to invite him to dinner, he'll be very welcome, I promise" Brooke puts her hand on McKayla's shoulder.

"Well, I'm sure it won't be more disastrous than the time I spent with his family" McKayla thinks "Okay, I'll see if he's free this weekend" McKayla smiles "Ahh yes!!" Brooke celebrates and hugs McKayla.

"I'm going to cook and I'm going to ask your grandmother to make that strawberry cake which is her specialty, it's going to be amazing" Brooke says excitedly "Wow, you're really excited, right?" McKayla chuckles.

Brooke clears her throat "I'm sorry, did I overreact?" Brooke asks, McKayla laughs "No, I'm happy to see you like this" McKayla smiles and hugs her mother.

"Oooh, do you know what's needed to make this girls' night even better?" Brooke smirks "Our song!!" The two say, McKayla and Brooke had their favorite song "Mother's Daughter" by Miley Cyrus, they knew the lyrics and created steps for It, It's like their confidence song.

McKayla picks up the phone and puts on their favorite part and they run to the living room.

The two stop next to each other "Three, two, one, go!" Brooke says, like McKayla, she took dance lessons when she was young and was a cheerleader, so they were both good at dancing.

"♪ I'm nasty, I'm evil ♪ " The two look at each other, mess up their hair and imitate claws while lip syncing to the song.

"♪ Must be something in the water.Or that I'm my mother's daughter ♪ " They put their hands on their hips and move their feet and at the end McKayla points to Brooke who strikes a pose.

The two look at each other and laugh as the song continues to play "I love you mom!" McKayla hugs Brooke "I love you too baby" Brooke kisses her daughter's head.

McKayla and Chase walk down the hall, Chase holds her hand while McKayla holds a sign in the other hand "I'm glad we finished this work before class ended, took us what? 15 minutes?" McKayla says.

"Yeah! Or one-quarter of an hour which would also be 900 seconds!" Chase smiles excitedly, McKayla laughs "I love that she gets excited about the same things as me" Chase thinks while laughing gently "I love learning new things from him" McKayla thinks and bites her lip containing her smile.

McKayla sighs and goes to her locker to put away their sign "Uh Chase, I wanted to ask you a question?" McKayla says calmly closing the locker.

"yeah, sure" Chase smiles "uh so, my grandmother is coming to visit us this weekend, and we're having dinner to welcome her and...I was wondering if you'd like to have dinner with us?" McKayla shyly chooses her shoulders.

"What?!" Chase's eyes widen slightly "Uh it's okay if you don't want to but, my mom said it's okay for me to invite a friend" McKayla smiles "Friend?! Really McKayla?!" She thinks.

"She wants to take you to dinner with her family! It's official...but she called me friend, what the heck does all that mean?!" Chase thinks confused, he takes a deep breath.

"So what do you think?" McKayla says blushing slightly "M-McKayla I... it's just that your dad..." "It was my mom's idea, so my dad is okay with it" McKayla smiles "No, he doesn't even know yet but it's just a detail, besides that my mother is in charge of this" she thinks.

"Oh okay" Chase sighs "she really wanted you to go, my mom loves you" McKayla smiles, saying this to encourage him to go.

"Oh her mom likes me! Wow, that's a relief to make up for her scary dad" Chase thinks "She likes me!" Chase smiles "Yup, and I really want you to meet my grandma, I'm sure she'll love you too...like there's no way not to like you" McKayla sighs looking into his eyes.

Chase presses his lips together "Um, actually there is, your father is the living proof, not to mention your brother" Chase points at her, McKayla looks down "Please, go. I really want you to have dinner with us" McKayla puts her hand on his arm.

Chase looks at her hand "McKayla..." "Pleeeease!!" McKayla smiles and moves a little closer, Chase tries to contain himself but ends up smiling with his teeth showing "his smile is so beautiful" McKayla thinks.

"Please!...I can make it up to you later" McKayla says softly and bites her lip, Chase frowns with a smile "Uh...you...can?" Chase blushes "Mm-hmm" McKayla blushes more than him "what am I saying? What am I doing? How do I make it up to him?!" She thinks disguising her confusion.

"Chase takes a deep breath "Okay, I think it'll be cool" Chase smiles gently "Yes! Thank you!" McKayla hugs him, Chase's eyes widen "Yup! I'm going to dinner with her family" he thinks scared.

Chase walks in, looking worried. "Are you okay?" Bree asks "No!" Chase says nervously

"What happened?" Leo asks "I...yeah" Chase takes a deep breath "yeah!" Adam says without knowing what this is about.

"Chase?" Bree says "I'm going to dinner with McKayla's family this weekend!" Chase says quickly, he bites his lip nervously.

"What?!" Bree says excitedly "Woah! Man that's a big step" Leo says "Her dad is going to kill you" Adam says, Bree hits his arm.

"What? It's true" Adam says "Yeah, that's the point" Chase says "what do you mean?" Leo asks "she thinks if I have dinner with them and her dad gets to know me better he'll end up...liking me" Chase shrugs.

"Oh so she wants her dad to like you!" Leo smirks, Chase frowns "Leo's right, it means she wants you to get closer to her family, maybe she's ready to...Having you as more than a friend, officially" Bree says.

"did she tell you something?" Chase asks "No, McKayla is very reserved, sometimes" Bree says "But we already know that she likes you, maybe she's looking for her family's approval so she can go on a date with you" Leo says.

"Guys! What do I do?!" Chase says worried "Relax, be yourself" Bree says "Okay, okay" Chase tries not to freak out "Man, you have McKayla by your side, trust her and everything will be fine" Leo says.

Chase thinks about McKayla and that somehow calms him down, weird, because normally thinking about her and a situation like that with her used to scare him more.

She's in her room trying on clothes for dinner.

"Okay, he's going to dinner with my family, but relax, it's not like... it's just dinner McKayla" McKayla says to herself in front of the mirror

"You love him, and your family will love who you love too, because they love you, and that includes your father" McKayla says in front of the mirror, adjusting her hair.

"I believe...he must love you too, I hope" McKayla says looking at her reflection in her eyes "This is crazy" McKayla chuckles nervously.

"McKayla, your grandma is here!" Brooke screams downstairs.

McKayla goes down the stairs.

Brooke knocks on Mason's office door "Mase, your mom is here!" Brooke says.

Trent is already at the door, McKayla goes to him "Do you think she still carries sweets in her bag?" Trent asks excitedly "Not for bearded guys like you" McKayla says, he rolls his eyes.

Mason goes to them, and they see McKayla's grandmother and Mason's mother, McKenzie get out of the taxi.

"Hey mom!" Mason says "Hello hello" McKenzie goes to her son and hugs him "Grams!" McKayla says excitedly and runs to her "Ooh Mini Mack!" McKenzie opens her arms to hug her.

"Ah Let me look at you, you look more and more beautiful. Here..." McKenzie reaches into her bag and takes out some sweets "Sweet like you" McKenzie says and kisses her face.

Trent hugs his grandmother "Hey Grandma" Trent smiles "Hey! Oh look at you...You look so tall and strong, you're finally starting to look like a grown man" McKenzie pats Trent's face "It's about time" McKenzie says.

Trent looks at her frustrated "Trent help your grandma with her bags" Brooke says "Hello honey" McKenzie says "Hi Mack" Brooke hugs McKenzie.

Brooke and Mason have always had a great relationship with McKenzie, Brooke had her as a motherly figure since she never got to know her mother. Given how close they were, they were inspired by her name to name McKayla.

This resulted in the two of them having the same nickname "Mack" they always loved having similar names, that's how her grandmother started calling her "Mini Mack".

They help McKenzie with her bags. "How was your trip Mom?" Mason asks "It was great! I met a friend on the way, she invited me to play bingo" McKenzie scoffs

"What's the problem?" Trent says "Honey, I'm old but not that old! I mean just look at me!" McKenzie says, McKayla frowns.

"Yeah Mom, everyone knows your thing is poker" Mason says "Exactly, speaking of which do you have poker chips?" McKenzie asks "Nope, you have poker chips" Brooke takes out a gold poker chip box with a gift bow and hands them to McKenzie.

"Oh Darling, you didn't have to!" McKenzie smiles "When we saw this in the store we had to buy it" Brooke says kindly "It's limited edition" McKayla smiles.

"Oh I see" McKenzie says opening the box "They had a gold box and a silver one, I chose it" Trent smiles "You know me so well" McKenzie says excitedly.

They go to the living room, McKenzie sits on the couch "Son, help me take your grandma's things upstairs" Mason says, he and Trent go upstairs.

"Do you know what that means? Poker game tonight, all of us" McKenzie smiles, McKayla smiles "Yeah Grams, about the dinner tonight..." McKayla says.

"Hmm?" McKenzie asks "Oh yeah, McKayla invited a friend to have dinner with us tonight" Brooke puts her hands on McKayla's shoulders.

McKenzie raises her eyebrow "What kind of friend?" McKenzie asks "The kind... I have a crush on" McKayla says with a nervous smile.

McKenzie makes a surprised face "Ooh, is he your boyfriend?" McKenzie approaches them "No no, he's just my friend" McKayla says.

"She likes him, but Mason has been a problem" Brooke discreetly tells McKenzie, she rolls her eyes "I knew this day would come" McKenzie says.

Mason goes down the stairs whit Trent "What?" Mason asks "I was telling your mom that Chase is coming to dinner with us" Brooke says.

"Oh yeah, do you believe that, mom?" Mason points at Brooke indignantly "that you're a pain in the ass? Yes I believe it" McKenzie says, Mason glares at her, Trent laughs "Oh You're not that far away either" McKenzie points at him, Trent rolls his eyes.

"If I was a real pain in the ass, the kid wouldn't be coming over for dinner tonight," Mason says "You are a pain in the ass because I know very well that Brooke made you do this. Now go brush your teeth because I think it's good that you smile a lot at this boy tonight!" McKenzie says menacingly.

Mason frowns, McKenzie raises her eyebrow and he leaves irritated, Brooke and McKenzie do a high five "You see? that's why I need to come here at least once a month to talk sense into my son's head. You don't deserve to go through everything alone Darling" McKenzie pats Brooke on the back who laughs gently.

McKenzie is at the table with McKayla while Brooke prepares dinner.

"So, what's the boy's name again?" McKenzie asks with a proud smile lowering the magazine she was reading "Chase Davenport" McKayla can't help but smile when saying his name.

"Chase. What's he like, honey?" McKenzie asks "He's...He's like a prince" McKayla chuckles gently, she didn't have another word that better described Chase at the moment, especially not a word that her grandmother would understand, McKenzie makes a surprised face "Really?" McKenzie asks.

"You're going to like him, he's very VERY smart..." McKayla says, McKenzie smiles "Bionic" McKayla thinks "He's kind, polite, very funny and..." McKayla says "Hot!" she thinks "He's my best friend" McKayla says briefly.

McKenzie chuckles "Aww, my granddaughter is in love" McKenzie says proudly, McKayla looks down shyly, McKenzie sighs proudly and quickly looks at Brooke who smiles.

"If I'm so happy for you Mini Mack" McKenzie says to McKayla who smiles delicately at her grandmother, Trent walks past them and McKenzie smacks Trent on the shoulder with the magazine in her hand.

"Owch!" Trent says "Why have you never brought a girl here?! Or a boy...or even a dog I'm accepting anything at this point" McKenzie says impatiently.

"What?" Trent says "What?" McKenzie mocks "You're my oldest grandson, and I want to be alive to meet my great-grandchildren for God's sake" McKenzie rolls her eyes, McKayla laughs "You're on the right path, honey" McKenzie says.

"I just never dated because I never found anyone who deserved the spectacular Trent" Trent smirk convinced "Yeah indeed" McKenzie says sarcastically, Trent galres at her.

"But Trent has evolved a lot in the last few months working at school" McKayla says "Oh really?" McKenzie asks "Uh yeah!" Trent scoffs.

"Yeah, so maybe there's still hope for you" McKenzie says, Trent rolls his eyes, Mason walks in, with an unhappy look.

"Don't look at us like that, today your task is to be very nice to your daughter's boyfriend" McKenzie demands "He's not her boyfriend!" Mason says "He's not my boyfriend" McKayla says.

"I know Mini Mack, but we need to get your father used to the term" McKenzie winks, McKayla smiles slightly.

McKayla looks at Chase "Sorry about that" McKayla tucks her hair behind her ear "Um it's fine. Hi" Chase smiles gently "Hi" McKayla smiles.

"uh you can come in" McKayla says and Chase comes in "Oh yeah.." Trent goes to him "Hey Man, good to see you. Mi Casa És tu Casa huh" Trent hugs Chase "Thanks Trent" Chase says uncomfortably "You like that, I'm taking Mexican class" Trent says quickly and chuckles, Chase frowns, McKayla slaps her forehead.

"Okay Trent, he already understands" McKayla says, Trent slaps Chase hard on the back and walks away, Brooke smiles kindly at Chase "Hi Chase" Brooke says.

"H-hey" Chase says nervously, Brooke suddenly hugs him "It's great to finally talk to you" Brooke says, Chase smiles "She's as kind as her daughter" he thinks.

"Thank you for inviting me, uh...I brought you this as a thank you for having me in your home and..." Chase hands Brooke a small bouquet of flowers that he was holding, Brooke smiles gently, McKenzie standing in the kitchen doorway makes a surprised face.

McKayla looks at him with a twinkle in her eye "Oh my...he's so cute" she thinks, Mason rolls his eyes "Aw Chase, that's very kind of you I love roses, thank you" Brooke says smelling the flowers "It was the least I could do" Chase smiles.

McKenzie clears her throat "Oh Chase, this is my grandma, McKenzie" McKayla introduces Chase "It's a pleasure to meet you ma'am, I'm Chase" Chase extends his hand, McKenzie greets him.

"So you're the famous Chase huh" McKenzie says, Chase gives a smile.

"Aw you're so handsome" McKenzie says placing her hands gently on Chase's face, he giggles shyly "Isn't he handsome, Mini Mack?" McKenzie looks at McKayla, her eyes widen slightly, McKenzie winks, purposely forcing McKayla to say that.

"Uh yes he is" McKayla says shyly, Chase looks at her and blushes "Thanks" Chase says shyly "Did she mean that?" He wonders "There's no need to be humble, Sweetie, I can see you're a gentleman" McKenzie smiles kindly.

"She seems nice, I'm starting to think only the women in this family can be kind" Chase thinks.

"Dinner is almost ready, make yourself comfortable Chase" Brooke says putting the flowers in a vase with water.

"Well normally I would show you the house, but since you already know it well I'm going to introduce you to the only room you probably don't know about...the guest room" Mason says sarcastically and slightly irritated, Chase widens his eyes and McKayla does the same "Dad!" McKayla says.

"He knows I slept with McKayla...oh that still sounds weird" Chase thinks and frowns to himself.

"I just want to make sure he knows this next time" Mason says, McKenzie slaps Mason on the back of the head "Owch!' Mason says "it was just a mosquito talking nonsense" McKenzie says irritated.

McKayla sighs nervously "Did you tell him?" Chase asks "No...I told my mom, it's different" McKayla says, Chase scratches the back of his head "Okay, it's fine, it wasn't a secret anyway..." Chase shrugs, McKayla looks at him "He wasn't supposed to bring it up like that" McKayla says embarrassed.

Chase puts his hand on her shoulder "It's okay, Mini Mack" Chase laughs, McKayla rolls her eyes "It's just that Mack is my grandmother's nickname so...Mack and..." McKayla points to herself "Mini Mack "McKayla chuckles "That's..." Chase chuckles "Adorable" Chase looks at her intently, McKayla shrugs with a smile.

"Please, I never told anyone that" McKayla says "Relax Mini Mack" Chase mocks, McKayla holds back a laugh "He's the one who's adorable" McKayla think.

At the dinner table.

Chases sat next to McKayla, who sat in between him and Trent.

Mason sat in the middle of Brooke and McKenzie facing McKayla.

"How's the food, Chase?" Brooke asks "I think it's the best I've ever had" Chase says gently, Brooke smiles "You're a sweetheart, it's good to see that there are still polite men" Brooke says and glares at Mason who is next to her eating a chicken thigh with his hands desperately.

Brooke has a look of disgust on her face "Honey cutlery has already been invented" Brooke points to the cutlery on the table "So, Chase, what do you do for a living?" Mason asks.

"He works at Tech Town with Mack, doesn't he?" Brooke asks, Chase takes a deep breath "Oh Tech Town" he thinks, the memories that remain of that place are intense for him "I had to quit to help my dad with his industries" Chase explains.

Chase resigned from Tech Town after Krane's attack, he realized that he needed to focus more on his missions and his job at Tech Town got in the way of that.

"Do you intend to work on something one day or are you just going to live off your father's money?" Mason insults him, Brooke kicks him under the table.

"Actually dad, Chase has a lot of potential to run Davenport Industries one day" McKayla says, Chase raises his eyebrow in confusion "Oh Sure, from what I hear he's a genius isn't he" Mason says sarcastically, Chase looks at him nervously.

McKayla sighs "I...like to keep my options open, I can master several fields of work" Chase says trying to remain calm, McKayla notices his nervousness "Um...it seems like a excuse" Mason mutters and takes a sip of water, Brooke rolls her eyes impatiently.

Chase looks down "He hates me, I don't even know why I still try" he thinks, McKayla discreetly holds his hand under the table, stroking his hand with her thumb, Chase looks at her and she smiles "Oh yes, that's why" Chese thinks.

"Let's tell them more about your family, honey" McKenzie says "Oh yeah, well..." Chase thinks "I don't want to lie to them, but I also can't tell the truth" he thinks "my family is kind of messed up" Chase chuckels.

McKayla presses her lips together "I agree" she thinks "I was raised and educated at home alongside my sibilings, Adam and Bree by my uncle, who adopted us because my biological father is not present. That's why we refer to Mr Davenport as our father" Chase explains to McKenzie.

"Okay, great explanation" Chase thinks "A while later Mr Davenport married Tasha and she brought with her our step brother Leo" Chase smiles "I didn't know Donald wasn't your father" Brooke says interested.

"They didn't meet their real father until a while ago, right" McKayla says still holding Chase's hand "Yeah, it's a complicated subject" Chase says.

"I understand, I didn't know my mother either. But family is the ones who takes care of you, and that's why I consider Mack..." Brooke points to McKenzie "As my mother" Brooke smiles "that's really Nice" Chase says

Chase smiles and looks around the table, even though Trent and Mason have difficult personalities, he sees the love and affection that McKayla's family has for each other, and how close they are.

Mason looks at Chase and McKayla and notices that they hold hands under the table "McKayla, can I have the juice?" Mason points to a jat not far from him, McKayla frowns "But you can reach" McKayla says.

"McKayla!" Mason says and quickly looks down signaling her, McKayla grits her teeth and lets go of Chase's hand to pass the jar to Mason.

Chase puts both hands on the table feeling guilty "She's still going to get in trouble because of me" he thinks.
