At Tech Town.

McKayla is talking whit a customer while Bree and Chase are at a counter on the other side of the store.

Scoot walks up to them "Well, if it isn't my employee of the week.." Scott points at Chase "and my weak employee." Scoot points to Bree and  laughs.

"Good one, Scott. It's funny because she's bad at her job. Ha!" Chase laughs, Bree glares at him "Yeah, well, I mean, I'd be better at it but I have things that get in the way like friends and a life." Bree says to Chase sarcastically as Scoot goes to the other side of the store.

"I have a life..." Chase scoffs and looks away to McKayla on the other side of the store "You may not be aware but my life is great..." Chase tells Bree but he slowly loses himself in the conversation.

"... It's beautiful and smart and affectionate, very affectionate so much that sometimes I feel like...I just want...oh I would..." Chase says clearly lost on the subject looking at McKayla breathing heavily and Bree frowns at him.

Chase clears his throat "I-I have a life!" He returns to the subject "Are you okay? You've been acting weird" Bree says Chase chuckles "I've never felt so good...i mean, Never been better" Chase says nervously.

Bree frowns again, Chase has been feeling weird since what happened between him and McKayla a few days ago, since her teasing, and others things she's done, Chase has been haunted by thoughts. Thoughts that he doesn't consider appropriate to even say out loud, he doesn't want to think these things but it's stronger than him.

He doesn't know how to control these thoughts, which scares him, but when he remembers that moment again, the desire to relive those feelings consumes him.

It's not something he's proud of and It's also not something he wants to feel, their day to day life doesn't allow him to feel it because he knows he can't do anything about it, especially that Scoot still wants them to stay away from each other at work 

Scoot brings all employees together "Listen up, guys. It's time for Tech Town's annual design-your-own-app contest!" Scoot says.

"Does the fun ever end around here?" Bree says sarcastically "Yeah, usually when you show up." Scott laughs and Chase tries to copy his laugh, McKayla frowns "Don't do my laugh." Scoot says "Can you be more of a kiss ass?" McKayla says "Is it that obvious?" Chase says "It's ridiculously obvious" McKayla says, Chase shrugs

"All entrants have 24 hours to upload their app to our website. Whoever has the most downloads by Friday wins a $500 gift card." Scoot takes the card out of his sock "And apply yourselves this year, I am so sick of winning." Scoot says.

"Don't you think it's unfair to compete against your employees?" McKayla says "Don't you think it's unfair to keep getting paid when all you do is judge me?" Scoot says, McKayla rolls her eyes.

"Don't you worry, Scott. I'm definitely going to app-ply myself!" Chase smiles determinedly "Uh, no more tech puns. A lady complained to corporate." Scoot says, Bree chuckles "That was me." Bree says "No one will miss It" McKayla says.

"Chase, no offense, but you're clearly out of your league. You're never gonna outshine the master." Scoot says confidently "The master? You clearly have no idea who you're dealing with." Chase says smugly "Oh no he hasn't" McKayla says.

"He's dealing with the smartest guy in the world in an design app contest. Oh Scoot it was nice meeting you, but you're Young down" she thinks and smirks.

"Ah, how could you turn on me like this? I was your idol." Scoot gasps "Yeah. Well, now you're my competition." Chase says "I like his competitive side" McKayla says softly "No discussion, you're the one" Bree says patting her on the shoulder frustrated.

"Sounds like you're challenging me. And no one challenges me. Except my mom. She's my ride." Scoot says, Chase frowns.

At Tech Town.

Bree, McKayla and others are huddled in a group, playing a game on their phones.

Chase walks in "Hey, what's going on?" Chase asks "Scott unveiled his app early. It's a game called Cavity Crushers. Super addictive. You saving the world by smashing evil candy." Bree explains "Uh, the candy's not evil. It's just misunderstood." Scoot says.

"If you're thinking that he copied Candy Crush, you're wrong, his game is much better" McKayla says "why you want to play that stupid game?" Chase asks "Playing is therapeutic, it's a great way to disconnect your mind and let go of the complicated things in life for a moment" McKayla explains and looks at her cell phone, Chase stares at her for a few seconds.

"Be alone with me and I'll disconnect your mind for a while" Chase thinks whit a smirk, he clears his throat and blushes at his own thought "stop this! Be a gentleman!" He thinks.

"Oh okay, just watch this" Chase smirks at her and climbs onto a display "Behold, my app, Structure Scan. You can scan any item, and it lists the elemental makeup of its molecular structure. Eh?" Chase scans pen whit the phone "This pen is 30% ink, 64% polymer, and 6% steel! Come on, people, how fun is that?" Chase smiles excitedly.

McKayla presses her lips together in pity, she looks around "I love him, but he is so misunderstood. I want to hug him" she tilts his head and sighs.

Scott mimes yawning "Attention, Cavity Crushers. I just unlocked a new level. Follow me. We're going to Lollipop Lane. Hoo-aah!" Scoot mocks passing Chase.

"I don't get it." Chase says, McKayla smiles to herself, thinking, sometimes due to his super smarts, he has such an advanced understanding of things that it overshadows certain simple pleasures of human life, like a simple fun game, She likes that about him, whether or not not understanding certain things makes him more human.

"Of course, you don't. See, these people are having what we call fun." Bree says, McKayla rolls her eyes, apparently few people notice that, well, until today she seemed to be the only one who saw that in him.

"Well, structure scans can be fun." Chase says "Oh, sure they can." Scoot mimes scanning Chase "Oh, look. 100% loser." Scoot says, everyone laughs. McKayla goes to Chase.

"I think your app is fun" McKayla puts her hand on his shoulder and smiles trying to cheer him up, Chase smiles gently "She is so cute. I know something the two of us can do together that could be way more fun" he thinks, he frowns slightly mulling over his own thought "Thanks Macky" Chase says.

"Damn Chase what's your problem?!" Chase thinks, Another thing that Chase still can't fully understand is feelings and dealing with an carnal feeling, and with he's own feelings at all, after all there is no formula for this, he wish there were.

"I'm going to make another app" Chase says "Yeah, that's the Chase I know, he doesn't give up!" McKayla smiles looking up at him with a sparkle in her eyes "Aww is she trying to kill me?! Why does she have to so perfect?" Chase thinks and sighs at her, but without getting closer since it's work time.

At Tech Town.

Scoot sticks a photo of himself on the wall "Ten minutes left to enter, and mine is the most downloaded app by far. Aw, am I really gonna win again? Okay, guess I am." Scoot says sarcastically, McKayla frowns in disgust at his arrogance.

"Victory lap!" Scoot says, Bree stops him "No! Please don't run. It's just awkward for all of us." Bree says "Nobody runs like that, it's like a simulated train crash, and you'd be the mangled test dummy that went flying off the tracks" McKayla says.

"Girl" Scoot takes off running, Chase walks in and stops Scott from running "Hold it, Scott." Chase says "Oh Thanks for that!" McKayla says "Hello, everybody, I'm back." Chase says, everyone groans.

"No, no, no. I have a new app." Chase says, everyone groans again, except for McKayla who smiles at both facts. Chase looks at her and gives her a wink, she feels a wave of happiness pass through her and the only way she can contain it was by biting her lip.

"Say hello to your new BFF, Cheddy." Chase show an intelligent system very similar to Eddy 'The virtual assistant who does everything. Hello, Cheddy. What's going on tonight?" Chase asks.

"Good evening, Chase. I've ordered your favorite pizza, got you VIP concert tickets, and completed all current homework assignments. Is there anything else, sir?" Cheddy asks, Even his voice is like Eddy's

"That'll be all, Cheddy. He's available for downloading now." Chase says and everyone rushes to download Cheddy.

"Wait that's the...""Cheddy!" Chase interrupts McKayla, she tilts her head in disapproval "Chase, what do you think you're doing? That is Mr. Davenport's technology." Bree says.

"No, he created Eddy. This is Cheddy." Chase says "Oh yeah Totally different" McKayla says sarcastically "Yeah, I don't ch-care, you ch-stole his ch-idea." Bree says.

"Cheddy is the original version of Eddy, which was actually a very helpful program. It took him years to turn into the complete jerk we all know and loathe." Chase says "It is still Eddy." Bree says "You're not listening, it's Cheddy!" Chase says, Bree wipes her face.

"Ha! My app is outselling Scott's ten to one. How does it feel to be related to the guy who's gonna win?" Chase tells Bree "As embarrassing as ever." Bree smiles.

McKayla crosses her arms "Chase, when I told you not to give up that's not what I meant" McKayla says, Chase scoffs "People in the tech world borrow ideas from one another all the time." Chase says.

"Okay, but why you're proud of something that you didn't even created. Don't you think that makes the whole meaning of winning empty?" McKayla says, Chase sighs slightly.

"And also, it's your father's idea, perhaps it would be interesting for you to consider his feelings regarding one of the investigations he is most attached to" McKayla says in a sincere and slightly disappointed tone, Chase wets his bottom lip slowly, thoughtfully "Woah! Her honesty is by far the hottest thing about her" he thinks.

"McKayla's right, he won't take long to notice" Bree says, McKayla agrees "Oh I doubt he'd even care." Chase says "Well, there he is. Why do you go ask him?" Bree waves, Chase jumps in fright as Donald walks in.

"Uh! Mr. Davenport? What are you doing here?" Chase walks up to him "You're not gonna believe this, but someone stole Eddy and is selling him as Cheddy on the Tech Town website." Mr Davenport says indignantly.

"Whaaaat? That's terrible." Chase says in a high-pitched voice, McKayla laughs "Chase's liar voice, classic" she thinks "I know, it terrible." Mr Davenport imitates the high-pitched voice.

"You should go home and rest, I'll call the app police." Chase tries to get Mr Davenport out of the store, but he passes by Chase

"Oh, no, no. I'm not leaving until I find out who did it." Mr Davenport sits on a counter "You know what? Perhaps I should speak to a manager!" Mr Davenport says

"Oh, no. There's no..."I'll get him!" Bree interrupts Chase cheerfully,Bree brings Scott over.

"May I help...Oh, it's you." Scoot tells Mr Davenport "Mm-hmm, it's me and I have a problem with Cheddy." Mr Davenport says "Oh, hear that, Chase? He has a problem with your Cheddy app." Scoot laughs "I'll let you handle this one. Hoo-ah!" Scoot kicks the air and walks away.

"This guy has a strange way of expressing himself" McKayla says "Right now I'm loving it" Bree chuckles.

"Chase, I am really disappointed in you. You stole Eddy." Mr Davenport says "Oh, no, Mr. Daveport, you're not listening. It's Cheddy." Bree says sarcastically, Chase rolls his eyes nervously.

At Tech Town.

"Look, I know you're angry. But if you hadn't invented Eddy, then I couldn't have invented Cheddy, so in a way this is all on you." Chase tells Mr Davenport, McKayla rolls her eyes.

"Taking credit for what isn't yours is wrong. Especially when what isn't yours, is mine!' Mr Davenport says "Told ya!" McKayla says forcing a cute voice, Chase rolls his eyes with a smile.

"Yes. I know, but everybody loves Cheddy and if I tell them that it wasn't mine then it could crush my reputation." Chase says "I think you doing that in the first place already crushed your reputation" McKayla says "Yeah but you're young, you'll recover. Or maybe you won't. I really don't care." Mr Davenport says.

"Again, I'll go get the manager." Bree says and brings Scott over again "You're touching, you're touching, you're touching." Scoot drives Bree away.

"This is really difficult for me to say." Chase tells Scott "He didn't create the Cheddy app, he stole it. See? Easy." Bree walks away.

"It's Mr. Davenport's. I didn't want to lose, so I tried to pass his technology off as my own." Chase says "You know, Chase, admitting that was very big of... your sister." Scoot says.

"Now, it's time for my victory lap." Scoot laughs and runs away.

Bree walks up to them "Good news, Chase, your night's about to get worse. Everybody who bought the Cheddy app wants their money back." Bree says "What, why?" Chase asks.

Across the room, groups of kids are on their phones "Tickets to a movie? Sure. Which of your imaginary friends will be joining you?" Cheddy tells them "Nice shirt. Too bad about the face" Cheddy tells other people   "Daily reminder. No one likes you!" Cheddy says.

"Ohh, no. Cheddy is using the computing power of all these devices to evolve into snarky Eddy faster" Chase says "Never mind that. You also forgot that Eddy's software is self-replicating. He's gonna start infecting other devices soon." Mr Davenport says.

"Uh, I think he already has." Chase says, the computers and television screen is taken over by Eddy "Hey, look! Now I'm annoying in HD!" Eddy says.

"Seriously, you had a phase in your life when you were so lonely that you had to create THIS!" McKayla tells Mr Davenport, he looks at her irritated.

Mr Davenport has a cell phone trying to disconnect Eddy "How are we gonna shut this thing down?" Chase asks

"Well, we're gonna have to delete the app at its source. I can reset Eddy's mainframe from here. Unless you stole my app that does that too!" Mr Davenport yells at Chase.

"Okay, as soon as I shut down and reboot the lab's network, we should all be Cheddy-free" Mr Davenport restarts the lab network "What's happening? I'm pixelating! I'm pixelating!" Eddy he says and starts to disappear from the screen, everyone in the store celebrates.

Mr Davenport sighs "Okay. The Cheddy app is deleted. Crisis averted." Mr Davenport says" Except for you, your crisis is just beginning!" Mr Davenport tells Chase.

Bree laughs "Woo-hoo! Victory lap! Yeah!" Bree does the victory lap around store while cheering "Hoo-ah!" Bree kicks the air.

Chase looks at McKayla "don't look at me, what you do is what you pay for" McKayla raises her hands and leaves.

At Tech Town.

Chase and McKayla were tasked with installing strips of LED lights on the store's walls to upgrade the store's decor.

McKayla takes a small ladder and Chase takes off the sticker so the LED strip can be glued to the wall "Okay, let's get this over with." McKayla climbs the third of four steps the ladder has.

Chase hands her the LED strip and she starts putting it on the wall while Chase watches her doing it.

McKayla doesn't usually wear her uniform shirt tucked in, as the rule demands, Chase had just noticed when she raises her arms to stick the tape on the wall and with that her shirt lifted up a little making it possible to see part of her belly and waist.

"Ooh you see that's why there are rules against that" Chase thinks, she doesn't want to stare at her so much but he can't. He carefully observes the curve of her waist and slowly lowers his eyes to her ass "Okay stop!" He thinks and shakes his head.

"Okay now hand me the blue LED strip" McKayla says, Chase does so, and again he can't stop looking at her, at every detail of her with extreme admiration, he sighs "I bet every inch, every curve of hers is perfect, I wish I could...stop thinking!!" Chase thinks frustrated, he takes a deep breath, leaning on the ladder.

McKayla felt all of his gazes "he doesn't stop looking at me, I'm not going to lie, that's kinda cool, as long as he doesn't get distracted and knock me off the ladder...Or..." McKayla has an idea.

When she finishes installing the lights on the wall, she gets off the ladder and purposefully steps wrong, so that she loses her balance just a little.

Enough for Chase to come and reflexively take her in his arms, and that's what he does, McKayla quickly grabs his neck and their eyes meet.

"Yes!" McKayla thinks "Yeah!" Chase thinks, the two look at each other deeply "Thank you" McKayla says slightly out of breath, after all if it had gone wrong she would have fallen to the ground.

"I guess I owed you that one" Chase smirk, if you count all the times he fell into her arms, it would still take more faintings and imbalances to make them even.

McKayla giggles delicately "You're right" McKayla says as Chase slowly lifts her up, He holds her waist and she holds his neck, the two looking at each other as if they were the last people in the world.

Chase starts to blush "Do something" he thinks before nervousness takes over him. With his hands on her hips, he gives her a tug, pulling her closer and making her hips bump against his, McKayla takes a breath and slightly widens her eyes.

McKayla looks at him, their height difference has never been more evident, she hugs her waist in a way that makes her feel small in his arms "He's so strong tho" she thinks.

Chase moves his hands around her waist "I would give her everything, anything she asked for. I wanted to be hers" he thinks, the two breathe heavily looking at each other.

McKayla rests her hands on his shoulder, she feels a strong shiver when she notices Chase's hands looking for the hem of her shirt, McKayla looks at him intrigued breathing anxiously "what is he doing?!" She thinks.

Chase looks at her with a passionate look and holds the end of her shirt "The rules say to keep your uniform shirt tucked in" Chase says softly because she's close enough to hear.

Chase gently begins to tuck her shirt in her pants starting from the front, McKayla's mouth slightly drops open, Chase gives a slight smile, McKayla feels butterflies in her stomach and a unique sense of anxiety as he does this but it feels good.

He looks her in the eyes as he does this, but he does it so calmly that McKayla feels her heart beat faster and her legs feel weak, she can't contain a gasp that ended in a smile which she felt slightly embarrassed after.

"how can he make following rules seem wrong" McKayla thinks, Chase finishes to tuck her shirt in behind her back, but she feels like the shirt is loose because he didn't do it right, it was just symbolic.

Both blushing and still looking at each other in a way that friends definitely don't look at each other, McKayla can't contain her smile without biting her lip and Chase tenses his jaw to try to contain saying something he shouldn't.

Chase lowers his hands from behind her back and McKayla stares at him, slightly shocked as if she still feels his hands on the hem of her shirt, Chase swallows hard and gently pushes her away by the waist.

Chase starts to feel extremely nervous, he can't believe what he just did but these thoughts and situations have left him so stunned that he sometimes ends up shameless and doesn't focus on nervousness, but he regrets it once the nervousness sets in.

"That's better" Chase clears his throat "I prefer it before actually, but I have x-ray vision so...wait NO! Don't you dare, if you do that you'll ask Adam to throw you across the room. You pervert" Chase calls out himself in his thoughts.

McKayla still in disbelief tucks her shirt into her pants "Uh... y-you're right, thank you" McKayla laughs nervously, sitting on the ladder, she feels strange, but not in a bad way.

She sits down and crosses her legs tightly, avoiding looking at him "Well that worked better than expected" she thinks, Chase looks at her, looking nervous "Are you okay?" Chase asks "Yeah!" McKayla smile exaggeratedly.

McKayla clears her throat and leans on her crossed legs trying to look natural "I'm fine, it was just the...shock of almost falling face down on the ground" McKayla giggles nervously, Chase agrees "I think you should be more careful" Chase says "Yeah yeah I agree" McKayla looks at him up and down looking tense.

Chase looks at her, knowing exactly what she's feeling "Oh! The spell turned against the Sorcerer huh" he thinks and smirks, McKayla frowns "what?!" McKayla asks, Chase can't wipe the satisfied smile off his face "Nothing" Chase shrugs.

Scoot calls Chase from the other side of the store "Excuse me" Chase says and leaves "okay" McKayla says softly with a thin voice, she watches him leave, McKayla takes a deep breath and exhales, she whimpers and puts her hands on her face, feeling confused and frustrated without understanding why.
