Home is where the heart is. Home is where there is love, happiness and peace. Things that make you feel sheltered. A place that anchors you. Sometimes, it need not be a physical place. It can be a person or multiple. People who bring you warmth and comfort, complete your life and bring meaning to your existence. For Veeranshu Singhania, his home were the two people in his arms- his world-his wife and son.

After finding his lost love and also finding a son he was unaware of, Veer was feeling a whole town-full of emotions. He felt nervous and joyful. If you ask him, he cannot tell you a single word about he felt himself. Does it not happen? When you are too overcome by feelings that you cannot word them? This is exactly what he felt.

He spent the day with them. They watched movies and chatted for a while. Mayuri woke up around evening and announced she had a date and left for the night. Veer took out his family for dinner and he was absorbing all the conversations he heard. Rehan was a young boy full of energy and felt like he won lottery. His happiness meant the world to Vani. Bani studied how him and Veer interacted and thanked the lords above for a day she had lost hopes for.

Currently, they had all tired themselves and were fast asleep. Veer, upon Rehan insistence, told him a story about Cheels and laid in Bani's room. Soon, Bani fell asleep too. She and Veer were on either sides with Rehan in the middle. While the mother-son were in dream land, sleep escaped Veer. He was gazing at them with love. He saw how Rehan drooled slightly and cuddled to Bani's side. Bani too had a protective hand around her baby.

V: Mere bina tumne akele sb kaise manage kiya gharwali? Mayuri ki help thi tumhe....uske liye mai uska humesha shukraguzar rahunga...pr tumne bhi bohot strongly sb kuch manage kiya sweetheart. Pr mai tumse promise krta hoon, mai ab kabhi tumhare saath kuch galat nahi hone dunga, humari family ko mai humesha protect krunga..

R: Dad..

Veer looked away from Bani and towards Rehan.

V: Haan..

Veer then realized he was mumbling in his sleep. Rehan twisted and turned before cuddling away from Bani and into Veer's side. Veer's heart swelled as Rehan's tiny hands held on to his side. He was now a father! The reality kept hitting him stronger each time he did something. Rehan slowly climbed up and slept on Veer's stomach with his head on his chest. Both his hands dangled on each side. Veer laughed softly.

V: Mera Bandar!

Bani felt Rehan's absence and scooted closer in her sleep. She kept a hand on his leg and buried her head on Veer's shoulder. Veer wiped a tear and slept the most peaceful sleep he had had in years!

It was around three in the morning when Veer heard it. Due to the recent attacks and having just found his family, his senses were super active and his protective instincts were higher. He quickly woke up and found Rehan had slightly wet his shirt courtesy his drool. Bani's legs had wrapped themselves with his like vines. She was sleeping peacefully. Veer again heard the sound. It was coming from outside the room. He somehow unwrapped himself from it all and went out.

His eyes were luminous, indicating his cheel side was in control. Any sign of threat and he will terminate it from its root. He heard it again. It sounded like a knock. He went and opened the door. Quickly he jumped away and was ready to attack.

H: Yrr mai hoon..

V: Harsh? Tu yahan? Is time??

H: Teri galti hai saari...I have much better things to do, seriously!! Yawns..

V: Abey time dek-

Ring Ring

Harsh's phone rang. Without seeing the name, he threw it towards Veer.

V: oye!

H: Tune tera phone ka pta nahi kya kiya, naya liya nahi...tere baap ko kbse tension ho rahi hai...upar se tune guards summon kiye they and RWSS pr attack ki news bhi viral ho gayi..he is concerned and keeps asking me to put you on call. Ab ye phone tu hi rakh, mujhe maaf kr..Mera mood thik nahi hai, I had a date that got ruined today by phone calls for you.

Harsh yawned again and left. Veer picked up the phone.

V: Yrr Ballu...

BA: DON'T YOU DARE YARRR BALLU ME!!!!! KHUD KI AULAD HOGI TB PATA CHALEGA KITNI CHINTA HOTI HAI...KL POORA DIN TUNE PHONE NAHI KIYA, SWITCH OFF AA RAHA HAI...UPAR SE ATTACKS OR PATA NAHI KYA KYA..

V: shhhh..

BA: DON'T SHHHH ME! HOW IRRESPONSIBLE V-

B : (comes in yawning) Veeranshu? Kya hua?

Veer turned and Balwant's jaw dropped.

BA: Ba-Bani?

B: (now wide awake) Daddy ji?? Uh..

BA: Veer tujhe Bani mill gayi??? Hey Garud dev ne meri sun li...

B: aap khush hai?

BA: BOHOT!! Tumhare bina mera beta ek zinda lash ban gaya tha, tum uski zindagi ho...tumhe usne kahan kahan nahi dhoonda...ab tum isse mil gayi ho- isse iski jaan mil gayi hai..ek baap ke liye isse badi khushi ki baat aur kya hogi?

Veer realised how truly Balwant loved him. He understood Bani was his son's everything and did not let his earlier enmity guide his decisions.

BA: Accha ye batao, tum log mille kaise? Aur Mumbai kb aa rahe ho??

Bani and Veer look at each other. They haven't spoken about this yet.

V: Vo Ball-

R: Dad?

Rehan had woken up finding neither of his parent near him. He also crawled out of bed in half sleep. Balwant saw the tiny boy, a mini version of his boy. He paled.

BA: Ye- ye kon hai???

Rehan turned towards the camera.

R: I am Rehan..aap??

BA: Rehan?

Balwant looked at Bani and Veer. They both nod slightly. Balwant's eyes teared up.

BA: Mai Balwant Singhania.

R: Hii..

Rehan turned to his parents and asked them why they were calling someone so late and why are they not sleeping. He climbed on Veer's lap and slept. Veer saw Balwant look at all this with a smile and tears. They both nodded at each other.

V: Mai rakhta hoon Dad..

BA: Haan...aur sun..tu ab jald se jald Mumbai aa..

The next few days went away quite fast. Vani decided to move back after all. Veer did not want Bani to uproot a life she had built so he left the decision on Bani.

'I know I cannot live without you two. Tum decide krlo kahan rehna hai, mai wahin rahunga..' Veer had said.

Bani thought about this. She missed everyone back home. Also, she was the prime protector of Prachin Mandir but she delegated the duty to her trusted nags as she promised Veer to leave. The temple had protected her from maha-mrityu yog and now that everything was fine, she owed it to the lord to resume her duty. She also missed her family, especially Meera di. She had not asked about them much to Veer as they both were also preoccupied by either themselves or Rehan.

Bani spoke to Harshkashyap who was more than understanding. Mayuri was also extremely happy for Bani but did not wish to come to Mumbai.

'I have somewhere else to be, maybe I'll visit my parents in the U.S' she had said.

So, after three days of preparing everything, Vani and Rehan left for Mumbai. Throughout the flight, Rehan was jittery.

R: Dad hum kahan jaa rahe hai?

V: Mumbai..Our home.

R: I have one more home?

V: You have more than two homes Rehan, you'll know soon..

Veer told Rehan about Mumbai, where his parents had spent most of their lives and Bani kept looking out the window. She had a billion thoughts running through her head- she'll meet the people she left behind after so many years.

Vani reached the SM. Rehan was standing nervously near Veer. It was a huge mansion and the child was new to everything.

V: Ye kya hai?

Balwant had decorated the entire mansion from head to toe. 'Welcome Back Bani' and 'Welcome Rehan' were written to two pillars in bold.

R: Ye sb mere liye hai Dad?

BA: Yes Rehan!!

Balwant and the rest of the family came rushing. They were all excited to meet Rehan and were truly happy for Veer.

R: aap kon ho?

Everyone started to speak.

R: Arey ek ek karke bolo..Rehan sbko sunega

BA: (smiles at his chota cheel) sb andr chalo pehle..

They all take go in the mansion. The insides were just as beautifully decorated. Large gift boxes were laid in heaps against a wall. There was food on the dining table and the whole mansion was lit up like it was Diwali.

BA: Welcome beta, I am your grandfather..

Rehan's eyes widen.

R: Daddu?

He looked at Veer who nodded. Tapish, Ponky and Daksh also introduced themselves. Daksh's wife Amna was also there. Bani met her for the first time. All of them greeted Bani with love and respect. Rehan for super busy with his new family. He never knew he had such a large family. The family too got intrigued by the young boy's talks. He was eerily similar to Veer. All were truly happy.

B: Tapish Bhai, Meera di kahan hai?

Tapish face fell. Bani was confused and sad to learn about how Meera refused to keep contact with the Singhanias. She was amazed to see how much her sister loved her. It had been five years but she did not even tried to contact her love-her fiancé because the family hurt her sister. She found out Mahek and Dahek were also married.

Later, she told Veer that she would want to go meet the Sharmas with Rehan.

V: Bani aaj toh Rehan ko koi nahi chodne wala, tum kl chali jaana..

Bani agreed. Post opening the heap of gifts, Rehan was getting pampered by his family. Vani were sitting on the couch, happily gazing at their family.

It was the picture perfect family but unsuspecting of someone who was gazing at the picture from behind the curtains.
