BLAKE's POV

I was having a second thought on going to Jake's birthday party with Enrique but Jake called me again and practically begged me to go. I asked him if it was okay for me to bring a company to his party and he agreed. I told him too that I don't need his driver to pick me up.

When we were inside Enrique's car, he couldn't keep his hands off of me. He kept on kissing me on the cheek and my hand. He was so sweet and I never felt so happy.

"Why did you decide to come with me anyway?" I asked him out of the blue. He threw me a glance and then concentrated on his driving again. I saw him shrugged his shoulders.

"Nothing" he answered simply which made me wanted to roll my eyes at him.

"Really? C'mon Enrique" I dared him with a teasing tone. He heaved a sigh before he answered.

"Isn't it obvious? I don't want that Jake to have an opportunity to be with you" He said with a hint of anger and possessiveness. If there's one thing I noticed about him, it's him being so possessive over me that sometimes I don't understand why. We just met not too long ago but he behaved like we've known each other for a long time. He is sincere in everything that he does and say and that's one of the things that I like about him. If he like something, he would voice his thoughts out.

"You know he's just my friend right? You don't have to be jealous" He snapped his head to my direction.

"I am not jealous. Why would I get  jealous of that guy when I know for sure that you're mine" I smiled inwardly as I found my heart beamed of his claim.

When we arrived at the party venue, it already started. When we walked inside, the people stared in our direction as they probably recognized Enrique. Then I saw Kelly approaching us with a frown on her eyes brows.

"Why did you bring him with you? Maybe now, you will introduce him to me" She whispered to my ear as she discreetly looked at Enrique who was smiling at us. I cleared my throat.

"Enrique, I want you to officially meet my bestfriend Kelly. Kelly, this is Enrique" I introduced, a little bit uneasy. Enrique wrapped his arm possessively around my waist and pulled me closer to him.

"Nice to meet you Kelly. I am Blake's boyfriend" I heard him say and that made Kelly's eyes widened with surprise. They shook hands.

"Enrique, can I have a talk with Blake for a minute?" Kelly asked him with an exaggerated smile registered on her lips. Enrique frowned but nodded his head. Kelly pulled me away from him with an enough distance for him to not hear us.

"When did this happen? I thought you didn't have a boyfriend and you haven't moved on from Quen yet?" She asked me worriedly. I chuckled of her reaction and held her hands with mine.

"I'm sorry Kelly if I didn't mention about him to you. We just became official just recently" I informed her; she smiled and then hugged me. Then she pulled away abruptly and starred at me quizzically.

"Hey tell me what happened the last we met. Did he hurt you? I mean, he was so angry that time" I wanted to laugh at what she just said but her expression was so serious.

"Of course not" I blushed when I remembered what happened that time when Enrique and I arrived home.

"Where did you meet him anyway? He's so gorgeous and a hunk for that matter. I don't know why though but he seems so familiar" She said and stared at Enrique's direction. He was now talking to some visitors whom I bet knew who he was.

"Maybe because he's on TV or newspapers sometimes. He's the CEO of the Dixon Enterprises" She gasped when she heard that. Her eyes were wide as saucers while staring at Enrique.

"You're so lucky Blake! Who would have guessed that one of the Dixon's would capture your elusive heart?! At last, you've moved on from Quen" She said enthusiastically. I felt the happiness in my heart died down when I heard about Quen. I don't know why, it's been years but I can't bring myself to totally forget about him. My first love...I shook my head and brushed off the thought away.

I must forget about him! It's not fair to Enrique. He's my present now and there's no use on living in the past. I heaved a sigh and smiled forcefully at Kelly.

"You're right" I said. Then I saw Jake's smiling face approaching us.

"Hello Blake! You made it. Thank you for coming" He said and gave me a hug.

"Yes. This is for you" I said as I handed my gift for him. He happily accepted it.

"Thank you Blake. You made my birthday so happy. Can I ask you for a dance?" He asked expectantly. My smile faded. I was about to answer him when I heard a possessive baritone voice behind me.

"Sorry dude but no" Enrique said as he put his arm around my waist, as if showing his claim and territory. I almost rolled my eyes at his behavior and rudeness. He didn't even give me a chance to answer for myself. I saw Jake's face became pale as he saw Enrique. He stared at me questioningly.

"He's the company I was talking about on the phone Jake. He's Enrique. Enrique, this is Jake" I said, a little bit uneasy. The two guys stared into each other and nobody even extend their arms for a handshake. Jake's stare was full of anger while Enrique just smirked at him but still has the possessive look on his face while he tightened his arm on my waist.

"Her boyfriend" He said and kissed my temple.
