The wedding. I'm screaming!!! 😱 😱 😱

Adrian's POV

*

The bridal tune played on as I walked into the church.

Taking a deep breath, I tilted my head and walked past each pew and up the aisle with two men by my side. One was Diego's father while the other person was Adrien Houston, my dad.

Mr Matthews had been discharged after the chemotherapy treatment almost two months ago and then he'd spent a month recuperating properly at home. With our help, he'd had a meeting with Natalia, my soon to be mother-in-law and Kara.

Natalia had made him know she had long forgiven him for the assault but that she never wanted to have anything to do with him, something Diego's dad was more than grateful for.

Kara didn't have much to say because she never knew him, she only said she hoped he would have a good recovery before leaving us there and going to work. Now as he walked me to the altar where the love of my life was waiting, I caught the excited gleam in the grey eyes which were identical to that of his son.

The hall was filled up, filled with family, friends and business associates. Some I knew, some I didn't. Kara's in-laws had all showed up along with some classmates from our university. I wanted the wedding to be held in this church, the first church I attended a Sunday service with Kara when we were in our sophomore year.

It should've been held in New York but my whole life which I could relate to a hundred percent, was here in Italy. The place I'd made genuine friends, memories, built a family.

Lucas's brothers and their girlfriends had also attended. When they told me they'd be attending after I casually invited them, I was surprised.

Then they told me they were glad I finally moved on because they'd been worried I would never. Lucas held a special place in my heart but Diego was now my whole world. And I was glad I had healed from all the hurt.

For some weird reason, I caught a glimpse of Daniel at the front pew as I walked forward. He winked at me and I chuckled in response though I knew he couldn't hear me. Or even see my reaction, due to the veil covering my face.

At the foot of the stairs, my dad stopped us and Mr Matthews took that as his cue to walk to his seat.

"Adrian, I can't believe I'm seeing this day. I promised your mom I would take care of you but now I have to hand over some of that responsibility to another man." He chuckled. "Though I'm a bit skeptical because you'll no longer come to me for everything you need, I trust your love towards him to know I'm making the right decision. I am so proud of you and of this moment. Your mom would also be proud of you wherever she is. You're still my baby girl and I will continue to be your big man. Forever. Okay?" His eyes gleamed with unshed tears and I blinked so I wouldn't start crying.

I loved my dad to the moon and back. He'd always been there. Always.

"Thank you daddy. I know you'll always be there. I love you." My grip on his hand tightened.

He pecked my forehead and exhaled loudly as he faced Diego who was observing our exchange.

I walked up to Diego as my dad let my hand go, letting my soon to be husband help me up along with Ruby, my cousin who was also my bridesmaid. She went back to join the remaining ladies in wardrobe while I took my position just in front of Diego.

"You look so handsome." I murmured to him through my veil as I stared at him. His blonde hair was neatly combed backwards, his jaw pronounced.

His grey eyes were scrutinizing. He liked what he was seeing and I knew that look in his eyes. He was wearing black three piece suit and new pair of Italian shoes. He looked so handsome it made my eyes hurt.

"Thanks love. You look breathing as well." He told me.

"You haven't even seen my face yet." I said with a chuckle as the reverend father joined us.

"I know what the face of the woman I'm about to get married to looks like." He gave me a wicked smile that had me beaming.

The reverend father said a short prayer to begin the program. My gaze was fixed on Diego though, I couldn't stop looking at him. He couldn't see me properly through the veil but I could see the excitement in his eyes.

"Amen." Everyone chorused when he was done and he looked around at the congregation.

"Who has brought this young lady to be married to the groom?" The father asked.

"We have. I am her father and beside me is the groom's dad." My dad answered where he sat beside Mr Matthews.

Mr Matthews had asked me to call him Tony but I just couldn't get around to doing that. I had all the time in the world to get comfortable enough though.

"Alright." The reverend said and told Diego to lift my veil. His eyes widened as he did, his hungry eyes instantly skimming over me from head to toe and back up to my face as he licked his lower lip.

Then his expression softened and he put his palm over his mouth, sobbing quietly into it. My eyes clouded with tears and I rubbed his upper arm, blinking the tears away while giving him my support.

"I'm so lucky." His shoulders shook as he cried, backing the congregation to wipe his tears and control his emotions. I swiped my fingers over his eyelids to clean the tears properly.

"Ate you set?" The reverend asked.

"Yes. She's so fucking beautiful." Diego muttered randomly but the reverend pretended not to hear us. I chuckled at his words.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today for the purpose of joining Mr Diego David Matthews and Ms Adrian Houston..." The reverend recited the words I'd heard repeatedly all the times we did our mock engagement in private.

As he recited the usual procedures and backed them up with biblical references, all I could do was stare at Diego who had his eyes on me as well. It was as if no one else existed.

"Do you Adrian Houston, take Diego Matthews to be your lawfully wedded husband, in sickness and on health, for richer or poorer, till death do you part?" His words brought me back to the present. This was the moment I'd been waiting for all these months.

"I do." I spoke aloud.

When Diego was asked the question, he whispered "fuck" before responding in the affirmative. The reverend gave him a look and I laughed along with the guests. They'd probably heard him curse, probably out of nervousness or something.

"Are you sure?" The reverend asked again as if he was confident that Diego had been dragged here and he wanted to give him the opportunity to bolt.

"I do." Diego repeated.

"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may k-"

Diego stepped forward and grabbed me with a hand on the nape of my neck, connecting our lips together.

"I guess it's too late to say you may kiss the bride." The reverend father joked as Diego kept kissing me with slow, tortuous  kisses and I heard the congregation laugh again. I heard Kara holler something and the congregation laughed harder.

Diego pulled back but cradled my cheeks, staring intently at me.

"Hello wife." He gave me a grin. A handsome grin.

"Hello husband." I replied and he chuckled.

Then Kara wobbled to us with her now protruding stomach. She'd be due in late July. Just two months time. She was wearing a short red dress and her hair had been styled to tumble down in waves over her shoulder.

"Bitch. You fucking did it!" Kara screamed, lunging at me while Diego pressed his front against me as if for support.

Kara's arms went around my shoulder as she hugged me as much as her belly could allow, her face splitting into a huge grin that I was sure mirrored my own.

"Mouth." Stephano ordered her and she gave him a stink eye before facing me once more.

"Ignore Mr grumpy. He thinks my baby will learn curse words from me. I don't even curse often. I literally just started like a few weeks ago and he won't let me have my fill of spewing them before I become a mother and can't curse recklessly." She complained and motioned for me to turn around as if she didn't assist in dressing me up.

"Thank you babes." I pecked her cheek and she opened her palm, laughingly turning around.

"I'm so happy for you guys." Her eyes watered.

"Don't cry and make me ruin my makeup." I warned playfully though a part of me meant it. Kara had been an emotional wreck for the past few weeks, laughing one minute and feeling sober the next. Losing appetite for a few days and then eating like crazy during the weeks that followed. She was so dramatic.

Pregnancy could do things to even the gentlest ones.

"I'm so sorry." She flung at me again and started crying. Stephano pulled her away as my family came to congratulate us. I greeted everyone with hugs, cheek pecks and smiles. Then we took pictures with family, friends and business associates. Hailey took several pictures with me, hugging me, pecking my cheek, dabbing her face as she cried and swore she'd miss me.

In her arms was my few months old younger brother who was a striking resemblance of my dad.

Amos also took a personal picture with me after taking one with Diego, telling me he was happy I was getting married to his big bro. He was now in boardinghouse but Diego arranged for him to attend our wedding and he was so happy about it.

The couple he was staying with relocated and he didn't want to be a burden to us by hanging around so he offered to attend a boarding school and stay with us during the holidays. I and Diego made sure he got into in a good school and we called him to check up on his progress regularly.

I took a personal picture with Giuliano Alfonsi since he was my boss and he'd requested it but Diego didn't like that because his eyes were glaring daggers at an oblivious Giuliano.

Immediately the shutter went off, Diego was by my side, shaking Giuliano's hand and proceeding to kiss my lips.

"We're already married. Don't tell me you're still jealous of Giuliano?" I whispered to him as Giuliano walked away to chat with some businessmen.

"No, I just don't trust him. He's a damn womanizer and he's got the looks."

"And I'm all yours. Body and heart." I pecked his lips, which he nodded eagerly to.

It was time to throw the bouquet. When I threw it, everyone who'd been paying attention burst into a fit of giggles behind me and I turned around to see Stephanie holding the bouquet with wide eyes. She was a maid at Stephano's mansion and from the horrified look on her face, I was sure she wasn't expecting to catch the bouquet.

Kara laughed harder than the other girls, saying, "I told you I'd find you a man so you stop staying in the mansion all day and go on dates," to which Stephanie's face reddened as if she'd been caught doing something naughty.

Kara had probably dragged her here, judging from how evil she sounded about her plans to match Stephanie with someone. As I looked around, I couldn't deny some of the bachelor were indeed checking her out.

I shook my head, chuckling. Diego's attention was back on me.

"I can't believe we made it. I love you. I'm so lucky to be married to you." He said for the umpteenth time, his words leaving flutters in my stomach.

"And I love you too." I replied as we made it towards the entrance of the church and got into the car, heading to the reception where we would change and entertain guests before having our first couples dance. Amos would be coming with Kara and Stephano.

Diego's fingers were playing with the spot below my right breast. "Hi."

I looked sideways at him as I relaxed into his touch, wriggling so I'd get more comfortable. "Hey."

"What do you say to a quickie?" He suddenly asked. My eyes almost bulged out of their sockets. We weren't even alone in the Mercedes-Benz. The driver was with us.

"Diego. When we're done at the reception." I groaned.

True we hadn't been intimate for over three weeks because we'd been preparing for the wedding and also, he'd had to take some pre-planned steps at work since we'd be going for our honeymoon immediately after the reception.

"Okay. I just thought you wouldn't mind sliding down on me." He stated in my ear, tugging at my earlobe with his teeth. I let out a groan, knowing he was well aware of how crazy that act of his always drove me.

"I don't want to ruin my dress. This boy will have to wait." I traced my palm over his length and felt him release a grunt. I looked away, knowing our driver must've heard that.

"You mean you want David to wait before entering into your mansion?" He asked cutely.

"Diego." I giggled loudly. He hadn't made reference to our private parts in such a way in a long time. "Stop."

"Alright. Immediately I get you alone though, you're all mine." He pecked my cheek and we relaxed in silence, looking out the window at the beautiful sceneries.

When I got to the hotel we'd be using for our reception, I went up to change into a champagne lace mermaid gown. I'd made it with Angela's help. Angela was Stephano's younger sister and the last born of the Alfonsi family. Well, she had sketched it and I worked with the designer who made it, making sure it had all the details I needed.

When I was escorted down by Kara and I greeted guests on my left and right as they occasionally approached me.

"Where's Diego?" I asked, looking around. We'd separated when I had to change. If we change in the same room, he would definitely make out with me regardless of Kara's presence when she comes in to help me with my dress. I couldn't risk it.

Diego came down few minutes later, looking relaxed and alive. "Hey. Sorry, had to take a call. I've turned off my phone now though."

"Good." I told him. Work could wait.

"Pay up." Kara suddenly told me and I rolled my eyes.

"For what?" Diego asked her.

"I told her you'd cry at the altar she said you wouldn't. We had a bet. Five thousand Euros. I won. Pay up." Kara said demandingly and I nodded.

"Fine. After the reception. I'll make the transfer."

"She acts like her husband doesn't have the money. So annoying." Diego said in mock disdain and Stephano, who had just made his way over to us instantly heard what Diego said. They were always in a competition for some weird reason.

It was strange to see men being this petty but I couldn't be bothered.

Stephano's gaze hardened at Diego's words. "I'll wire you twenty thousand, Adrian." He told me like I forced Kara to demand the money in the midst of my wedding. Couldn't he scold Kara for being impatient? Instead he was willing to throw me a nasty look like I was corrupting her in some way before leading Kara away.

I rolled my eyes at him while Kara gave me a 'SOS' (meaning save our soul) look but I shrugged at her. Stephano would deal with her in bed for demanding money from me that way and I couldn't care less.

I chuckled at her expression as she discretely flipped me the finger when she saw I wasn't going to help her..

We went to our seats because I was genuinely famished and needed to rest my feet. I endured the teasing from our table where we sat with friends. The table included myself and my husband, Daniel and Lola, Paul, Kara, Stephano, Ruby, Mimi and Andre. Ruby's husband was sat at another table with her parents and their cute daughter.

The table was filled with laughter and jokes.

Then it got to the part where we'd have our first couple dance and the host made this announcement. Diego got up and helped me up, his arm instantly snaking around my waist as he led us to the dance floor.

"Did you eat?" I asked Diego because he'd not eaten much. At least from what I noticed.

"Yes. Maybe due to the excitement I couldn't eat much but I took a glass of scotch to calm myself." He told me with a smile.

"This way ma'am, sir." The person ushering us to the floor said as I was about to tell Diego he could try to eat in bits if it would help because we would need our strengths for the honeymoon.

But I'd been distracted by the words of the usher.

"Thank yo-" I began to say to the person ushering us as I randomly look up at him but I sucked in a harsh breath as I recognized who it was, my mouth gaping open. What the hell?

My vision blurred with as I stared at the face of the singer I knew so well. I stood frozen on a spot, unable to react for a few seconds.

I knew this man. In fact, I knew quite a few things about him that could count as me really knowing him. I knew his favorite color, the symbols of his tattoos, his favorite food. The words he loved using at random. I related with some of his songs too.

Harry freaking styles was standing right in front of me right now. He was in a black shirt and suit pants, his hair falling over his shoulders. I couldn't believe I was standing right in front of such a popular singer.

I was stunned.

"Baby, please breathe." Diego told me while collecting the microphone from the MC to hand over to Harry and the audience laughed.

The girls were screaming about how they loved Harry. Even Kara was doing the same and I knew she'd be getting some pussy pounding from a jealous Stephano immediately they got home.

I pouted at Diego's words, blushing a little because what the hell? This was Harry Styles, the same man I'd been chatting about all along that made Diego threaten to not cuddle me at a point.

I had a freaking crush on him in my teenage years!

Harry Styles!

I couldn't not be happy.

"I'll be singing a song I hold so dear to my heart. No, it's not my song but I think it's perfect for this new chapter in your love story." He said in his British accent and I placed my palms on my heart, sighing.

"How did you even...When?" I looked up at Diego and he wiped the tears I didn't even know I was shedding. "Thank you. This has been my dream for years. I never knew it could come to past."

"And I'm here to help you fulfill all your dreams, so wipe your tears." Diego said like he was Santa Claus and I giggled at his words.

"Could you please sing Sign Of The Times before the other song? I just want to watch you sing it to me." I told Harry, who looked at the ceiling for some weird reason and smiled as he returned his gaze to me. I sighed at the sight of his dimples, still a little numb that he was standing right in front of me.

"Guess I could do that." He chuckled and pressed his lips, making his dimples show again.

"Thank you." I told him, smiling as I stared. Diego pressed me closer into his body and I turned around to look at him. "Thank you so much baby, this is literally the best day of my life. I love you. I really love you."

"You're welcome." I could feel his hardness beginning to swell against my stomach and I gave him a look that made him shrug. "You know how I'm like around you." He reasoned and I chuckled.

Harry sang Sign Of The Times and it was better than I'd ever heard on my phone or on TV. It was real.

The tune changed to another tune I was equally familiar with and I knew this was the song Harry had initially planned to sing.

"This song is titled 'Can't Help Falling In Love' by Elvis Presley." Harry announced before he started singing. As if there would be someone that hadn't heard Elvis Presley's famous song.

I moved sideways, looking up at Diego who was staring at me like there was no one else present in the room. We fell into a similar dance pattern.

"Wise men say,
Only fools rush in
But I can't help falling in love with you."

Diego nodded as I mouthed the words while Harry sang.

"Shall I stay?" I asked him.

"Forever." He murmured, his chocolaty breath brushing my face.

"Would it be a sin?"

"Never." He settled his eyes on my lips.

"If I can't help falling in love with you?" I gave him a dazzling smile.

"Like a river flows
Surely to the sea
Darling, so it goes
Some things are meant to be."

"Take my hand," he twirled me around and caught me, sighing into my face as I molded against him once more.

"Take my whole life, too
For I can't help falling in love with you."

"Like a river flows,
Surely to the sea
Darling, so it goes
Some things are meant to be..."

"Take my hand,
Take my whole life, too
For I can't help falling in love with you."

"For I can't help falling in love with you." Harry ended solemnly, looking at the both of us. Then he walked to us and gave us both handshakes, congratulating us as he wished us a happy married life.

"Thank you." I awkwardly motioned for him to lean over and I pecked his cheek, making him chuckle out a response before he left with a team of men walking him out. Probably his crew members.

Celine Dion's 'Because you loved me' started playing and other couples came to join us on the dance floor. Diego hugged me to his body as we moved to the rhythm of the song.

The host for the show took over after one more song. My legs were killing me. I hadn't realized it till now.

"My legs are hurting." I complained so only Diego would hear, eager to find a seat asap.

My husband literally carried me and walked us to my seat. The crowd laughed at a remark the host gave but I was too occupied in the moment that I almost didn't catch it.

"What do you say to getting out of here?" He asked in my ear as Daniel was saying something about my mischievous six years old self which caused laughter to erupt at our table.

"I think that's a good idea." I told Diego and signalled to Kara that we would be taking our leave now. She nodded, throwing an air kiss which I caught before walking around to greet the guests again.

Ten minutes later was filled with handshakes, pecks and hugs. Then we got back into our SUV and we were driven to the airport by Diego's personal assistant who briefed him on some company things I couldn't comprehend as they used the professional slangs while conversing.

Before long, we were on the plane.

I ate a snack with Diego, then we made sweet love for the first time as a couple and exchanged sweet promises about the future ahead of us.

When we were sexually sated, Diego pulled me into him so I rested on his body, lying on him. We were both naked.

"I love you Adrian."

"And I love you too." I mumbled lazily. "Forever." I snuggled into his warmth as he pulled the blanket over us.

I smiled into my husband's warmth.

To a new beginning 🥂🥂
