recap :

As the commotion died down and the man retreated to a corner, Manik's eyes narrowed, his voice cold and threatening. "If you ever come near her again, I'll break every tooth in your mouth," he warned, his words laced with a fierce determination to protect Nandini at all costs.

In that moment, Nandini realized the depth of Manik's love for her, and despite everything that had happened between them, she knew that she still loved him too. Maybe, just maybe, there was hope for them yet.

Nandini's words carried a bitter edge as she sarcastically referred to herself as Manik's wife, her tone laden with hurt and resentment.

"I'm your wife now, huh?" she retorted, her voice tinged with sarcasm.

She moved closer to him, her hands instinctively reaching out to touch him, a gesture seeking both comfort and connection.

"Why are you doing this, Manik?" she pleaded, her voice cracking with emotion. "Can't you see I'm trying to--"

But before she could finish, Manik's reaction was sharp, his features hardening as he recoiled from her touch.

"Don't touch me," he snapped, his tone cold and dismissive.

His disgust was palpable as he accused her of inappropriate behavior, his words cutting deep into Nandini's already wounded heart.

"I was just trying to show you--" she began, her voice trembling with hurt and confusion.

But Manik cut her off, his words like a knife to her heart.

"Just leave me alone, Nandini," he said, his voice dripping with disdain. "I don't need your gratitude or your pity."

With that, he turned away, leaving Nandini standing alone, her heart heavy with regret.

Alone in the dimly lit cell, Nandini sank to the floor, her body racked with sobs, the weight of her emotions too much to bear.

The sound of her cries filled the empty cell, a haunting melody of heartbreak and regret.

Nandini, her emotions raw and unfiltered, grabbed Manik by the collar, her eyes burning with a mixture of anger and hurt.

"Why are you doing this, Manik?" she demanded, her voice trembling with emotion. "Why are you pushing me away?"

Manik's expression was unreadable as he replied, "I have a girlfriend now, Nandini. I need to be loyal to her."

Nandini let out a bitter laugh, her eyes flashing with contempt. "Loyal? You weren't even able to be loyal to your wife, Manik," she mocked, her words laced with sarcasm.

Manik's jaw clenched, his patience wearing thin. "Shut up, Nandini," he snapped, his voice sharp and commanding.

But Nandini was not deterred. "I'll make her life miserable, you know," she threatened, her voice low and dangerous.

Manik's eyes narrowed, a flicker of anger crossing his face. "If you lay a finger on her, I'll make sure you regret it," he warned, his voice cold and menacing.

As the tension between them simmered, Nandini felt a surge of defiance. She knew she had nothing left to lose.

"I may not be able to touch her," she said, her voice dripping with venom, "but I can sure as hell make her regret the day she met you."

With that, she turned away, leaving Manik standing alone in the darkness, his heart heavy with the weight of his decisions. The lines between love and hate blurred, leaving them both on the edge of a precipice, unsure of what the future held.

With a final glare, Nandini turned away, feeling the weight of betrayal heavy on her heart. The air in the cell crackled with tension as they stood on the brink of a confrontation neither of them wanted.

The night stretched endlessly, refusing to grant either Manik or Nandini the solace of sleep.

Nandini's world lay in ruins, betrayed by the one she loved, while Manik, confined to a less-than-comfortable jail cell, found sleep elusive.

"There are far too many mosquitoes here," Manik muttered in frustration.

"Mosquitoes bite slowly, but snakes like you strike harder," Nandini retorted, her tone laced with sarcasm.

"Do you want me to bite you?" Manik asked, his tone unexpectedly soft, hinting at a deeper, more intimate connection between them.

"Oh, how charming," Nandini replied, rolling her eyes. "I've always dreamed of being bitten by a snake in a dingy cell."

Manik chuckled, a smirk playing on his lips. "Well, it would certainly make for a memorable evening."

Nandini scoffed, shaking her head. "Oh, please. Save your charm for someone who actually believes you."

The tension between them lingered in the air, a mix of anger, hurt, and a strange kind of attraction. The night dragged on, the moon casting a soft glow on their troubled faces, as they navigated the ruins of their shattered relationship.

"Yep, Aleesha would definitely believe me," Manik said, a hint of smugness in his voice as he tried to provoke a reaction from Nandini.

Nandini felt a pang of hurt at Manik's words. "Isn't she your first love and your childhood crush?" she asked, her voice betraying her inner turmoil.

"Yes, she is. I've realized that all this time, my heart has belonged to her. I'm sorry, Nandini, but I couldn't find the same love for you," Manik admitted, his tone filled with regret.

Nandini's eyes welled up with tears as the weight of Manik's words sank in. She turned away, unable to bear the pain of his confession. Manik watched her go, his heart heavy with the knowledge that he had caused her so much hurt.

As the reality of Manik's feelings sank in, Nandini felt a mix of emotions swirling inside her. Anger, sadness, and a profound sense of loss washed over her.

"You loved her all this time?" Nandini's voice trembled with hurt and disbelief. "What about everything we shared? Was that all just a lie to you?"

Manik's expression softened, realizing the depth of Nandini's pain. "No, Nandini, it wasn't a lie. I cared about you deeply, but my heart has always belonged to Aleesha. I'm sorry if I led you on."

Nandini turned to face him, her eyes filled with tears. "How could you do this to me, Manik? How could you make me believe in a love that was never truly mine?"

Manik reached out to her, but she pulled away. "I never meant to hurt you, Nandini. Please try to understand."

"I understand perfectly," Nandini replied, her voice laced with bitterness. "You never loved me. I was just a fool to think otherwise."

With that, Nandini retreated to the far corner of the cell, wrapping her arms around herself as she tried to make sense of the shattered pieces of her heart.
