Chapter 32

Sapphire Miller's POV:

I had never done any wrong to Mel. I was nice to her. I don't know what to do at this moment. I know nothing is in my hands and whatever I try to do would only harm the people I love the most.

"What Sapphire no answer?" Mel spoke from the other side of the phone.

"Mel I-I never did anything to you and I always stayed out of your way and even you know that" I said to Mel.

"Oh yea, you always stayed out of my way so as a reward why not I gift something? Umm..... let me think of a gift for you. Yeaaa I've got a perfect gift for you. Let me send it you" Mel said and cut the call. What is she going to do? I called her again but she switched off her phone. I just sat down not knowing what I should do. I heard someone entering my room so, I turned my head to see who it was and it was Alvin.

"Al did you find out anything?" I asked Alvin but he just sat and shook his head.

"I called her Al" I said to Alvin.

"What did she say?" Al asked eagerly.

"She- she said she's going to send something Al" I answered Al.

"What is she going to send? What is she sending?" Al asked panicking.

"What else did she say?" Al asked and I told him the complete phone conversation with Mel. Since yesterday he's been working to find Mel. He doesn't seem himself. He's very tensed and all of this is only happening because of me.

"What should I do princess? Let me call her again" Al said trying hard not to cry. Alvin called her but her phone's still switched off.

"I'm sorry Al it's all happening because of me. If I didn't come into your lives this much would not have happened" I said to Al trying to control my tears.

"Please Sapph don't talk like that you're my sister and I know I can give my life for you. Let's just try our best to do whatever we can" Al said hugging me. He's just acting brave in front of me but he's worried ten folds than me.

We didn't sleep a wink the whole night we could not sleep and that makes two nights in a row. Richard tried calling the whole day yesterday but I couldn't talk to him because if I did, I cannot control myself and if he gets to know what is happening, I'd be endangering his life too. I know I shouldn't be hiding such a matter from him but I don't have any other option but to keep him safe.

Alvin is just staring into space most of them and calling people in between asking for any information that could help us. I kept calling Mel but damn her phone is still not on.

"What am I supposed to do?" I asked myself.

"When are you going to tell Richard about this?" Al questioned me and I didn't have an answer for that because I want to hide about this until everything gets back to normal. I was about say something but then I heard a voice.

"Tell me what Alvin? About Sapph remembering who she is or about Mr and Mrs Miller being kidnapped?" Richard said and my whole world turned upside down. How did he know about this?

"Wh-What?" I asked Richard not being able to collect words to speak.

"What as in How do I know about this or what as in what are you speaking, I don't understand?" Richard said sternly. Why is everything happening at this time of my life. First my mom and dad being kidnapped and then Richard knowing about this.

"Why did you hide it Sapph? I waited yesterday the whole day for you to come and tell me about it yourself. But, you didn't say anything leave about saying you didn't even pick up my calls" Richard said and I knew from the calmness in his voice that he's very mad at me.

"How did you know about it?" Al questioned Richard.

"I've heard whatever you and Sapph talked after we came back to the villa as a couple" Richard answered.

Back to time when Alvin took Sapph to talk about something once Sapph and Richard came back to the villa........

"Princess I'm happy that you both are together" Al said hugging Sapph.

"Thank you, Al" Sapph said smiling.

"Now princess does he know about your past and that you remember everything?" Al questioned Sapph.

"No Al I didn't tell him anything" Sapph said.

"He should know everything. He has the right to know everything Princess" Al said looking at his sister with concern.

"It's better if we wait for a while and tell him later Al. I don't think I'm ready to tell him now. We just got together" Sapph whispered.

"You know that a bit later can make it very difficult for you say anything, now that he's your boyfriend" Al said.

"I know but I don't want to drag him into danger with me" Sapph answered Al.

"By not telling him you're going to hurt him Sapph" Al argued.

"It's better for him not to know about this. I don't want to drag him down with me. It's bad enough that I involved you in this" Sapph reasoned.

"Sapph nothing happened to me or you after I knew about it so, I don't think anything bad would happen. So I want you to tell him the truth Sapph you can't keep it hidden from forever. Tell him" Alvin said with a finality in his voice.

"Nothing happened? Al I feel this is the silence before storm and I know something is going to go terribly bad. I can sense bad vibes. I can't tell him Al at least not now. I wanted to keep him safe so I distanced myself from him and now I want to keep him safe from all of this so, I've decided not to tell him anything as of now" Sapph said.

"What if he knows about it from other sources? Then what?" Al questioned.

"I don't want to assume that scenario" Sapph said wiping her sweat.

"Please Sapph I know its you day. You got together with him and it's a happy day so tell him everything" Al pleaded.

"No Al let's not think about it now" Sapph said.

"Until when did you plan on hiding about it Sapph?" Richard asked me.

"I hid the truth to keep you safe. I didn't want to drag you into any danger" Sapph said.

"But baby what about my love for you? Did you think I could rest peacefully knowing that something was troubling you? Did you think I would not know if you hid it forever? I love you so much that I know how many times you breathe in a minute and your poop schedule" Richard said and I just went and hugged him. He loves me I know that but what I did was for his own good.

"Baby please don't hide anything from me. Please I just want to know whatever is happening with you. Even a little thing like a mosquito bite tell me about it" Richard said. How much I love this man.

"How did you know about mom and dad's kidnap?" Al questioned.

Richard McCarthy's POV:

I had my suspicion about something terribly wrong with these siblings after that call from his secretary. I knew if I asked them what's the matter with them they wouldn't answer so, I did the only thing I could think of. I simply visited Alvin's secretary.

'Please elaborate what you did. You didn't just visit her' my 'mind' said.

'Well, I thought considering she's Al's secretary, she wouldn't answer my questions so, I had to corner her in her washroom' I told my 'mind'.

Back to the time when Richard visited Al's secretary..........

Uffff I successfully got into her house now I just have to wait for her to go into her washroom. I waited for an hour in her laundry basket.

'Its quite comfortable in her but it somewhat stinks' I said to myself.

'Please don't even talk to me about this plan of yours. Who the hell wants to get answers in washroom?' my 'mind' said.

'Think about the positive side of my plan 'mind'. I know I can get things done in the washroom' I replied to my 'mind'. I was waiting in her laundry basket and then I got my signal of her going into her washroom to take a bath and that signal is her throwing her used clothes into the basket. Poor girl she doesn't know that I'm hiding here.

'To know when she's entering into the washroom you could've somewhere else, there were so many other better options, you perverted a**' my 'mind' shouted.

'Please stop calling me perverted. I'm just investigating. I'm the detective here so, it's not a big deal to surprise her in her washroom' I reasoned my 'mind'.

'Yea surprising a girl in her own washroom when she's bathing not at all a perverted act. You RAT HOLE, you're spoiling your reputation along with mine. Get the hell out of here and wait outside for her. God please curse me with some deadly disease and kill me. I can't take it anymore *cries hitting it's imaginary chest as if someone died*' my 'mind' cried.

'That's how you play a detective 'mind' since you're not so intelligent you wouldn't know. Detectives in the movies always come out of nowhere and get the work done' I reasoned my 'mind' and I made my way into her washroom. She's humming a song while washing herself. Thank god there's a drape which separates her naked body from me.

"Hello excuse me..." I said to her. She was so surprised that she dropped something and started screaming.

"Ahhhhhhhhhh Ahhhhhhhhh" Secretary scremed.

"Owwww you're hurting my ears don't scream" I said to her. Ouch she's such a drama queen.

"WhoareyouWhatdoyouwantwhyareyouherePleasedon'tdoanythingtome" Secretary spoke fast so fast that I couldn't understand what she wanted to say.

"Sorry but could you speak a tad bit slow so that I can understand what you want to say" I said to her sincerely. How does Al understand what she's saying. He needs to replace this girl. She peeked at me from the other side of the drape.

"Mr. McCarthy WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY WASHROOM?" She shouted and she should seriously consider closing her shower coz the water is overflowing now.

"I wanted to know what is Alvin worried about?" I asked her.

"Go ask him" She said.

"What? If I could ask him I wouldn't come here right? Now answer what is happening with him?" I asked her.

"Mr.McCarthy please leave before I call police" She said.

"Well I'd like to see you try and get out of the shower for doing that. I'm not moving an inch before you give me the information" I said and she got the message.

"Someone kidnapped Mr and Mrs Miller that is what is happening with him. Now please leave" She said. What someone kidnapped his parents? Why did he not tell me about this? I stood there thinking about what to do.

"What are you still doing here LEAVEEEE" She shouted. Ouch that hurt my ears. I was leaving and because the whole washroom is flooded with water, I was unable maintain balance and fell down on my a** and it hurt very bad.

'Well some good outcome came out of it' my 'mind' said.

'What's that?' I asked confused.

'Now you know not to surprise people when they are in washroom bathing because it might cost you you're a**. Heheheh I'm so happy you're still limping. HAAAAHAAHAAA' my 'mind' laughed evilly. Arghhhhh I'm done with my 'mind'.

"Well your secretary told me" I answered Al.

"What did you both think of doing now? Do you know their location" I questioned Al and Sapph.

"Well the person who kidnapped them is not answering her phone" Al answered.

"You know who kidnapped them?" I questioned them.

"Yes, it's my sister, Mel" Sapph answered and I couldn't digest what she said.
