Happy Birthday to You!

[Mystery Shack: Birthday day]

Mabel noticed her brother, for the past couple of days, not leaving the dolls alone. He would literally bring them along as much as he could anywhere. Those dolls would either be in his bag or just in his hands in general.

"You sure love those dolls, don't you Dipper?" Mabel asked being oblivious to her brother's new found background.

Dipper just laughed and nodded, "Yeah, they're just so, I don't know... familiar, like I've see these before." He couldn't place his finger on where and why, the doll just soothed him so much.

The both of them went back to work on setting up for the birthday party out in front of the Mystery Shack. There wasn't much left except for expecting their visitors.

"Mabel, could I speak with you for a second?" Ford asked over from the porch.

"I'll be right back Dip!" Mabel says to her brother before going to her Grunkle Ford.

"Okay Mabel, I'll just be here reading through the journal again." He says back to her as he just continues holding the two dolls, giving them attention.

She stepped right up to him and he kneeled down to her height. Ford held out his hand to her holding the first journal and Mabel looked at it curiously. She knew the first three journals were burned by Bill, but thankfully Stan had made copies of all three books before hand.

"Today's the day Mabel. Let's just hope your brother knows what's good alright?" Ford looks as her hopeful. "And I think I want you to hold onto this for now."

"Really Grunkle Ford? But why?" She didn't understand, her Grunkle Ford always kept this book with him. It was too important to just give to someone else especially since it's the first journal.

"I'm just trusting this journal with you for a while. I think it would be better if you hold onto it. Is that alright with you?" Ford seemed tense, but for now Mabel would accept it. Her Grunkle may be worried about something that has to do with the first journal.

"Okay Grunkle Ford." She accepted the journal and hid it under her sweater, just as Dipper would hide his in the inside pocket of his vest jacket.

Then their party guests started to fill into the front yard group by group. Wendy's family was the first to arrive followed by Soos and his Abulita. Basically all the people were town were there bring gifts for them since they were heading back to California soon.

"Guys you made it!" Mabel exclaimed as she hugged Grenda and Candy. They hugged her back tightly with joy.

"We wouldn't miss it for the world Mabel." Candy told her happily. "Because of the whole apocalypse thing our plans were canceled."

"Yeah Girl! We came to Party!" Grenda punched the air happily.

Dipper walks over to them to say thanks to them for coming to the party, Pacifca and Gideon making their way to them to wish the twins a happy birthday also.

"Alright everyone! Gather around! It's time for the twins to blow the candles!" Stan says getting everyone to come around to it their attention in front of the Shack. Mabel and Dipper are already on the porch with their family and friends surrounding them even waddles.

Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday Mabel and Dipper!~ Happy birthday to you~

Before they blow out the candles the twins said a couple of words to the towns folk. Dipper started first.

"You know, on my first day here, if you had asked me what I wanted, I would have said, "adventure, mystery, true friends." But looking here at all of you I realize that every wish came true." He chuckles, "I have everything I wanted." His expression of content had everyone smiling back at him.

Mabel then said her own, "If I had only one wish it would be to shrink all of you with the shrink ray and bring you home with us in my pocket. But since that's impossible..." Then she looks at Ford considering maybe, "Is that impossible?" Her great uncle waves his hand up and down, shrugging as he's not really sure. "Since that's probably impossible, my only wish is for everyone to sign my scrapbook. I'll never forget you guys. Wait." She brings out the memory gun and smashes it on the floor and stomping on the device to break it even more. "Now I'll never forget you guys," she says happily.

"Ready?" Dipper asks his sister.

Mabel looked at him with a small smile. "Ready."

The both of them hold hands and they blow out their candles.

"Happy Birthday Mabel!" Dipper exclaimed.

"Happy Birthday Dipper." Mabel says with a little less enthusiasm.

Just then the world around them faded to a monochrome scale. A familiar laughter rang through the air. Bright light shown on the yard and everyone covered their eyes.

"Well, well, well~ A party for PineTree and Shooting Star huh? Hey Sixer what about my kid? Doesn't he deserve one too?"

He shining lights dimmed to reveal the source of those bad days during Weirdmageddon. Bill Cipher, floating in his triangular form in front of all of them. The towns folk grouped together scared, while those of the wheel zodiac stayed close together as well.

"Cipher I told you once and a thousand times before, you will not get your hands on him!" Ford yelled up at the demon. Dipper held his dolls close and Mabel was trying her best to cover Dipper by standing in front of him.

"12 years Sixer... For 12 years I've missed most of my son's life growing up." Bill hissed as his form turned red. "I'm not missing any more." He claims as he floats to the ground and stands on grey grass. "By 11:05, I'll find him. His demon mark will show and I can finally take care of him again. Only one minute remains Sixer."

Everyone watched as Bill made the image of the town's clock tower appear. Seconds ticking away until 11:05.

"Fess up Sixer or he'll find out he's not human. The only way you chose to raise him."

Stan looked at Ford sternly. "Ford, I think we have to tell him."

"But Stanley-"

"Wouldn't you be angry if you were in his position? Finding out only now and not told by the people he trusts." Stan looks into his twin's eyes, almost desperate. "Ford please..."

Ford looked back at his twin and took it into consideration. He looked at Mabel who was now looking up at him the same way Stan had.

"Great Uncle Ford?"

The old man now looked at Dipper. He seemed more confused than ever on what was going on and why the heck Bill was back. He kneeled down to Dipper and put his hands on the kid's shoulders. "Dipper, I... I'm sorry, I made a really big mistake, but I never regretted it. Dipper you are-" He couldn't finishes when the boy took a step away from him in confusion, possibly more.

Dipper took a step back, "Great Uncle Ford, what are you- ah!" The brunet dropped his dolls, that he was holding, to the ground as he held his left hand from the shock going through. The dolls rolled over to the dream demon.

Bill noticed the dropped dolls and slowly floated over to them. "These are..." He looked up to Dipper and started taking a glowing form that morphed into a human shape.

Dipper sat on the ground clutching his hand while everyone watched Bill take human form in front of their eyes. He's a tall blond man, looks like he's in his early 20s, dressed so formal in yellow, white, and black. Bill bend down to pick them up and look them over.

"Grunkle Ford, doesn't Bill's form look familiar?" Mabel asked, she's seen it before.

Ford tried to recall where he's seen it until his thoughts came around to the dolls. "Mabel, the dolls. They're representing Bill's human form." He says to her in realization. That explains why baby Dipper felt comfortable around them to sleep. He's seen his father's human form before.

Meanwhile the now humanoid demon analyzed the two dolls. "These are Dominic's toys..." Bill says under his breath. He turned his attention back to the brunet. "PineTree?" He walked over to the boy and kneeled down in front of him. "Sapling?"

Dipper ignored the tingling on the back of his hand to look at Bill's face. He didn't notice, but Bill did, his eye flickered two different colors. "I-I'm so c-confused- W-What's happening t-to me?"

Black gloved hands held the boy's face gently. "Sapling listen to me. You need to calm down first." His thumb rubbed Dipper's cheek in a relaxing manner. "It's okay Sapling, don't worry."

Dipper stopped, those familiar words reaching his mind.

"It's okay Sapling, don't worry."

"W-Why?" Dipper questions as Bill holds the brunet close in a hug.

Bill smiles and snaps his fingers. A bottle of liquid held in his hand and gives it to Dipper. "Drink this Sapling and you'll know who you really are."

"Dipper wait I need to tell you-"

"Silence Sixer!" The demon hissed towards the old man. "You had your chance, now it's my turn."

Dipper held the bottle, looking back and forth between his friends and Bill. "W-Why should I trust you?"

"You don't have to trust me."

The brunet couldn't take it anymore, ever since the symbol appeared on his hand his body had taken a small annoying sensation. He slowly opened the bottle and drank its contents. It tasted sweet like his favorite drink.

Everyone watched Dipper finish the bottle and his physical appearance started to change. The brown hair is replaced with clashing brown and blond hair, most people call it a type of dirty blond. Doe brown eyes changes to a set of mismatched eyes. His left eye turning hazel while the right eye became a gentle blue. His ear becoming slightly pointy, but not sharp.

Dipper had never felt better in his life. The slight burning sensation was gone and he felt free. He could see from the bangs of his hair had turned a different color. "B-Bill, what happened to me?!" He panicked as he touched his ears to find them slightly pointed.

"I erased Sixer's appearance changing spell on you. This is your true form Sapling." Bill explained in a calm voice. "You're not one of them, you're a demon like me. You are Dominic D. Cipher. Sapling you're my son... "

Dipper felt like the world came crashing on him. He looked towards the others. "Is this true?" His voice small and nervous. "Am I really a demon, Bill's son?!"

Stan took a step forward, but stopped halfway when Bill gave off a warning growl. "Kid, I know it sounds bad, but please believe us. You are who you choose to be. A demon or human you're still part of our family either way. We're not mad at you for being who you really are." He says trying to calm Dipper's growing confusion and anxiousness.

"Dipper, I was about to tell you, but time ran out... I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier." Ford apologized to the demon child.

Dipper shook his head slowly, "No, I-I-", he looked to Mabel who wasn't smiling anymore. She had tried all this time, but her smile kept faltering. "Mabel? D-Did you k-know too?"

"Grunkle Ford told me a couple of days ago. Dipper-" She tries walking closer to Dipper ignoring the growling from Bill. "-I don't care, no matter what you're still my brother!"

Dipper broke down crying and Bill's growling ceased to go comfort his child. "I-I w-w-wanna g-go h-home..." He cries.

Stan moved to get Dipper, but Dipper pushed himself closer to Bill's embrace. "No!"

The people of Gravity Falls held their breath at the sudden outburst.

"I-I wanna go home w-with Bill!"

Bill smiled, picking up his son and carrying him in his arms. He looks to everyone still present watching them with shock and surprise. "Well Pines Family, audience. I'll be going home now with my son. If you know what's best for you then stay away from my family, but please do deal with me if you have business. I'll be waiting~"

"Wait! Dipper!" Mabel yelled as Bill started floating back up in the air with his son now in arms.

"Remember! Reality is an illusion, the universe is a hologram, buy gold! Bye!" Bill exclaims as he disappears from their sights.

Dipper and Bill were now gone, no one seeing them since that day.

+Mindscape+

Bill brought his son into his old room which he had changed to fit a older child. Blue walls were still there with some white outlines. A window off to the side across from the bed.

He walked over to the queen sized bed and sat down with his son sitting on his lap. "Sapling? How are you?"

"Tired and just a tad sad..." Dipper croaked out after all that crying.

Bill's fingers combed through Dipper's dirty blond hair. "How about you sleep it off? Think you can do that for me Sapling?" He watches his son nod and he lays his child down on the bed. Bill tucks the kid in, then gives the two dolls to him.

"Bill?"

"Yes?" Bill would give his son time to get use to him before calling him his father.

"....N-Never mind-" Dipper pulls his blanket up to hide his face away from Bill. He hugs his dolls close to his chest.

Bill stood up and kissed his son over the blankets. "Alright, Sapling." He goes over to the desk next to the bed and opens the drawer to pull out two gifts. He places them on top of the nightstand. Knowing his child will be thirsty when he wakes up, he snapped up a glass of water for him, setting it next to the gifts. Finally he moves to the door to exit.

"Happy Birthday to you."
