A Guardian and Twins
+The Next Day+
Two Dippers sat at the table eating breakfast with a blond demon enjoying his biscuits. Dipper got up from his seat after eating.
"I'll be back, I just need to get something from my room." With that Dipper snaps his fingers to teleport into his room.
Mason is left with the company of Bill at the table as he tries to finish eating his breakfast of eggs, waffles, and sausages. The kids was literally stuffing his face which Dipper found funny earlier.
"Do you always eat like that? It's not very good table manners." Bill says politely as possible.
"There's always a food fight at my house. If you aren't quick enough, all the food will be gone before you know it." Mason tells the older demon after gulping down the food in his mouth.
"Well when you're here you don't have to rush. Sapling and I could always make more food if you want."
Mason wipes his mouth with his sleeve and apologizes, "Sorry about that."
"No problem, you're a growing meatsack. Eating is part of your life cycle, us demons on the other hand are another case." Seeing Mason curious he explained further. "We don't need to eat, nor do we die. Well there is one way for us demons to be out to rest, but that information is secured among us demons."
The human hums as his thoughts drift to Dipper. The younger demon was taking a bit too long up in his room. He stand up, "I'm gonna go check on Dominic. He's been his room for awhile now."
Bill snaps Mason's plate to the sink. "Okay, his room is upstairs to the left. Should be the first room when you walk down."
"Thanks!" Mason runs out of the kitchen and heads upstairs. He took a left turn once he got up the stairs and headed for the first door.
Standing in front of the blue door he knocks. "Dominic? You still there."
"I'm here." His voice sounded quiet like whisper. "You can come it."
No doubt, Mason could hear the sadness in his voice. He opens the door and comes inside. He finds Dipper sitting on his bed, in his hands he's holding a letter.
He comes over and takes a seat on the bed next to him. "What's that?"
"A letter from my ex." His voice sounding small. Dipper leans his head on Mason shoulder.
"Your ex?" Mason feels a slight nod against his shoulder. "How is he sending you letters? I thought he lives in another universe."
"He must have found another way without my Mother's help." He sighs and folds the letter close. "Can we keep this a secret between us? I don't want my parents interfering."
"Because you still love him." Mason gives his other a knowing expression.
"Yes." Dipper refolds the letter and snaps his fingers to make it place itself in his secret drawer by his bedside. He shakes his head and tries to focus back on task by changing the topic. "I suppose it's time to go now."
"Dominic we don't have to go. You don't seem okay moving right now." Mason says worried.
Dipper shows him a smile. "It's fine Mason. I'll start to feel better once we hang around another dimension."
"If you're sure about it."
Dipper opens another portal in his room. "You first." Mason takes a step into the portal and disappears on the other side. Dipper follows after with a wonder about this new dimension.
+???: With Mason and Dipper+
When Mason walked out of the portal, he had not expected someone to run into him. The both of them had fall to the ground and tumble away to the nearby tree.
"Ah! Bill!" Someone else exclaims as they run over to them.
Mason blinks a couple of times, his head spinning from the collision. The person on top of him sits up and groans.
"What the heck?!"
The brunet regains his bearings and look at the people in front of him. One had blond hair with his roots colored brown. The second person has blue hair with black roots. The both of them seem to be twins.
"Ugh!" His short temper starting up. He gets back on his feet and glares at the blond twin. "Why did you run into me?!"
"Why did you appear out of nowhere where I was running?!" The blond twin questions back with spite.
Mason did the first thing that came to mind and punched him in the face.
"Ack!" The boy was forced a couple of steps back from the blow.
Mason wished he brought his bat with him. It would have been so much better to beat the guy with it.
"Mason? Where are you?"
"Crap." He says to himself. He forgot about Dipper. The brunet was about to go head back to the portal area when the blond, Bill from what he heard from the blue hair twin earlier, grabbed him. "Hey! Let me go!"
"No, you just hit me!"
"B-Bill I think we should let him go."
"Not now Will, I'm getting pay back."
Will looks around nervously, "But Dipper will get mad at you again."
"I don't care about what that Guardian says to me."
"Oh really now you brat."
The twins and Mason look at a tall man wearing a military looking uniform in blue, silver, and black. His eyes blue while his pupils were shaded pink. His hair kept a nice chocolate brown. The guy stared down at the three children with a somewhat angry expression.
Mason took the chance to push Bill off of him and stand back on his feet. Bill landed on his butt. "Ha! Take that!"
"Ara-"
Mason felt himself pick up from the ground by hands holding him by his armpits. "Hey let me go! Let me fight him you bastard!" Growing irritated by the second.
"Little Dipper, please hold yourself." The man who looked like an older version of himself says.
"I'm not little!"
Bill grins and gets back on his great to tease Mason. "Too bad 'Little PineTree'!" Mason glares at the blond with sheer intensity for calling him that.
"What are you doing here anyways?" The older version of himself asks the teen. "You should be in your own dimension."
"Wait this guy can from another dimension PineTree?" Bill asks the older man as his brother comes to hide behind him shyly.
"Is that even possible?" Will questions.
"Yes, it is. But it's not possible unless you're a Cipher wielding powers of a demon or a Dipper with magical abilities." The older Dipper hums in thought.
"Mason! Where are you!" Someone calls out louder to get everyone's attention.
"Dammit! Let me go!" Mason back kicks the alternate Dipper on the chest to get out of his grip. He lands on his feet and runs towards Dipper's call.
The twins follow after him with the alternate Dipper following after them. They come to find Mason had run to where Bill first ran into the kid. There was another person there, Alternate Dipper feeling the demonic energy radiating around him.
"Mason, where were you? I was so worried when I couldn't trace you."
"I'm fine, just had a small problem when I came through the portal."
"Excuse me." Alternate Dipper comes out finally figuring out what's going on. The two Cipher twins following him out cautiously.
Dipper looks at the tall male, this must be heir alternate in this dimension. "You must be our alternate in this dimension." He stick his hand out to give a handshake. "I'm Dominic D. Cipher and this one next to me is Mason Pines."
"Yes, I'm Dipper Pines here as well, but please call me Mind since I am one of the guardians of balance who handles those under the category of mind while my sister handles the balance involving the heart." He says to the two. "I assume you're the Dipper from the main universe."
"Yes, that's me. This is actually my first time hearing an alternate knowing about me."
Mind chuckles, "When you're the one handling powers in the dimension, you tend to know more. The Ciphers here are mainly still kids who don't have powers so it my job to keep this knowledge."
"Hey, we're still her you know." Bill says getting their attention.
"Ah yes, let me introduce you two to the Cipher twins." He gestures to Will first. "This child here is Will Cipher, he's Bill's younger twin brother. He's a sweet child to be around. While his brother is the exact opposite."
"Hey, I'm just unique!" Bill proudly says. The Dippers can't help but roll his eyes at the words.
"Bill here is the oldest and the holder of journal 3. Which I still need back from him." Eyes narrowing at the blond boy.
"Not a chance PineTree. Finders keepers as they say!"
"Yeah, that sounds like my Father's alternate alright."
"Your Father?" Will looks at Dipper curious to hear more.
"Yeah, in my universe, Bill here is my Father."
"Aw that sound so cool! I can boss around PineTree!" Bill grins with delight. "That also means my alternate self got married right? Who did I marry?"
Dipper smiles mischievously and points to Will. "My Mother is Will Cipher from the Reverse Universe. What a sweet mother he is, Bill can't get enough of him. Practically deeply in love with his wife."
"I married my brother?!" Bill says surprised.
"You guys aren't brothers where I come from. That's why you guys are married." Dipper informs with a small giggle.
~
The five of them decided to go to Bill and Will's Shack to continue their conversation. It was around lunch time when they got there and Dipper offered to cook them lunch.
The demon was surprised to find barely any ingredients in the house. He didn't know of the past of the Cipher twins went through, but he could a little of Why since they were along with barley enough supplies. It was different from the other dimensions he went too. He applied that they must be here for some reason.
He did the kind thing and stocked their pantry and fridge with lots of supplies to get them through the year. He snapped up the ingredients on the table and started cooking lunch.
Meanwhile, Mind and Will were having a conversation as Bill and Mason fought on the other side of the room they were in.
"So he's someone from another dimension, but an alternate version of you."
"Yes Will. For me I prefer to address them as different timelines."
Mason punched Bill when he got too close. "Stay the fuck away from me!"
"Don't be that way PineTree~ Lets make nice and start off as friends." The blond says as he hold his bruised cheek. Mason didn't know how the guy could still smile when his punches are suppose to hurt like hell. He's knocked out a teenager before dang it.
"Yesh, my brother took a 180 change on him. First he was mad at him and now he's all over the guy."
Mind chuckles at the sight. "Leave them be, it seems this is the best we'll get out of them interacting with each other."
"Oh yeah, we never did ask." Mason says as he keeps a hand to Bill's face to keep him from coming close to him. "What is this dimension called anyways?"
"This place is called Zero Gravity. In this dimension there are Guardians here who take care of the town. I'm one of them as I told you before. Years ago we stopped a demon full of chaos from reigning over and causing a path of destruction." Everyone in the room noted his facial expression changing into a remorse one. He gets up, "Sorry, I need to step up for a moment."
"Dipper-"
"Not now Bill." His tone as cold as ice. He walks to the door and opens it. The brunet heads out without another word with the door slamming shut behind him.
Will sighs, "You'll have to excuse him Mason. His sister told me about some of his past. He has a hard time with some topics and gets really reclusive of himself."
"I understand, it's the same with Dominic." He whispers to the two Ciphers. "He recently had to break up with his lover. Now he's trying to recollect himself."
"Demon PineTree has a lover?" He asks sounding interested to hear the details as he backs up from Mason.
The brunet crosses his arms. "It's not my story to tell. So don't even think you'll get anything out of me." He hisses at the blond while Bill keeps smiling mischievously at him.
Bill chuckles and surprises the boy with a tight embrace. Mason continues to struggle with Bill. All the while, Will sighs at his brother's antics.
Dipper comes back into the room. He puts his hands on his head and shakes his it. He claps his hands together, his magic separating the two humans away from each other. Bill was put next to his brother while Mason is seated on the other couch across from them.
"I always knew Bill and I fought back when we still weren't family yet, but it's a bit calming to see it." He comes over to the table between the couches to snap his finger together. The food from the kitchen he prepared appeared on the table. The Cipher twins and Mason look at the feast in awe.
"Dominic this is amazing!" Will exclaims as he sees the beautifully made food.
"Thanks Will, one of my Father's friend's got me into cooking so I've been practicing a lot." He notices Mind wasn't in the room with them anymore. "Where's Mind?"
"He had to step out." Bill says as he takes a chicken leg. He takes a bit and loves the taste. "Wow this tastes good!"
"Enjoy guys. I'm gonna see if au can talk to Mind for awhile." Dipper walks pass the eating group and heads out of the shack. It wasn't that hard to look for Mind since the guardian had just taken a seat on the roof of the house.
Dipper jumps up using his powers to elevate him. He takes a seat next to Mind gently. "Hey Mind."
The guardian turns his head to look at Dipper. "Hello little demon tree." A small smile formed on his lips. "What brings you up here?"
"For one I heard what Will said from the kitchen. The three downstairs don't know it, but I have very good hearing." He gets a chuckle from the blue wearing guardian. "So what's got you down?"
Mind let's his eyes go back to the horizon. "I'm just remembering events back from the old days." He closes his eyes and tilts his head a bit when he feels he breeze blowing at them. "You know it was my fault in their first place chaos erupted here."
"Oh?" Dipper says. "How? If you don't mind me asking."
"I was a new guardian back then, naive and wanting to learn as much as I could. A demon from another dimension entered our dimension without our knowledge. I met him first by accident and formed this bond with him over time. At the time he was laying low, but I made a mistake when I figured out who he is." He takes off his hat and combs his hair back with his gloved hand.
"I pointed him out to the guardians. They were going to put him back in his dimension where he rightfully belongs. That's when the war path of his destruction became large in amount of minutes. Eventually we able to over throw him and return this place back into a peaceful land. Before he was sent back, I knew he grew angry at me for ruining his plans, but he also formed this obsessive behavior because of it."
"Obsessive behavior?"
"With me... At some point we had grown really close to say we were in love."
Dipper uses his eyes to look through the roof of the house to see Bill once again teasing or playing with Mason. Will was siting in the couch he was on as he watches them.
"That demon... is he a Cipher?"
Once again, the guardian nods in replies. "It's why I find myself giving Bill the cold shoulder most of the time while I'm around him, because I'm trying to keep him in line."
"Because he looks like him." He thinks it over a bit confused. "Wait, Ciphers with demonic abilities or are magic born can travel through dimensions. So why hasn't he returned if he wants to possibly get revenge." If anything, the demon wouldn't give up and would love to get his hands on the person who caused him trouble. Just like a certain someone he knows personally.
Mind pulled out his sword from its sheath and held it out to Dipper. The demon inspects the weapon in awe. The blade itself is a dark galaxy coated blade littered with stars.
"This sword is the reason he can't return here." He firmly states. "As long as this sword isn't used to cut open a portal for him or broken into two, then this dimension is safe away from him." He hold up the sword for a moment before putting it back in its cover carefully. "All the Guardians have have put their trust in me to protect it."
"What was his name?"
"Kill Cipher."
+With Bill, Will, and Mason+
"You know you're not so bad Little PineTree." He grins at the use of the nickname which irritates the brunet next to him.
"Don't call me that you idiot!" Mason punches him on the head.
Bill laughs it off with a small mutter of 'Worth it'. "You're just a guy with temper issues." That got Manson to pop a vine and jab Bill on the side.
Will could only shake his head at his brother's actions. "I'll say sorry for him on his behalf uh-"
"Oh, just call me Mason like Dominic does. I know it can get confusing seeing more than one of your friend." Mason says giving the blue hair twin a kind smile. He'd only be nice to Will, it's obvious that Bill doesn't deserve his sympathy or kindness.
"Mason then." Will says nodding his head.
"That reminds me. We haven't heard anything about the alternate me from your dimension." Bill says rubbing the back of his head while his other hand tends to his side. "That's unless you have have Will instead of me."
Mason rolls his eyes. "No, I have the alternate you. And let me tell you, he is an asshole!" He huffs while crossing his arms. "That bastard thinks he can come and ruin our town than he's got another thing coming."
"He's that bad?" Will wonders what this alternate version of his twin looks like. Did he have Bill's human side or demon side?
"Yeah, the asshole demon he is picks a fight with me on most occasions." That rules out the human side possibility. He puts finger under his chin remembering something about one occasion. "But there was this one time where he was acting strange. Mabel said he seemed kind out of it that day like he was sick."
"Like zombie weird sick or like caught the cold sick?" Bill asks.
Mason shakes his head, "He kept repeating 'PineTree, PineTree, PineTree' as if he was trying to talk to someone or find them. Usually he would call me Fight Tree, but he call me that nickname while he was out of it. Mabel and I tried to get something out of him on who this PineTree was when he felt better, but he kept his mouth shut. The demon even had the nerve to hang me upside down on a tall tree after I pestered him about it."
The twins look at each other for a moment considering something. "From what it sounds like all Dippers from alternate places are called some sort of tree." Bill comments as he comes out with a laugh.
"So what's was the demon's name? That's if he had a different name he goes by besides Bill."
"That asshole calls himself Kill... Kill Cipher."
