About a month later

Author's pov:

After the rain Biker Mice had managed to bring back to Mars for some time, nature had started to bloom at least a little bit. The problem wasn't totally fixed yet, but at least the situation looked better and Mars had more hope to survive. Even Carbine could take a break from her job, meaning that she had decided to focus on her maternity leave again, like she should have been this whole time.

"Felix look, here!" Carbine pointed to a small blooming purple shaded flower on the ground while her hair seemed to be a more interesting thing to look at and pull if asked from her son. "Ouch! My love.. Your father saved our planet, but with either of you I can already feel the gray hair which you hopefully are pulling out of there.." She sighed before chuckling since her son started giggling at her words even if he understood nothing of it. Or maybe he understood the word father already, somehow, since it seemed to have calming or cheering up effects on him sometimes.

It took a moment from her to free her hair from her son's crip so she could lift him better in her arms. "It's so calm.. And fresh.. Almost like Mars used to be.. Almost.." Carbine thought to herself as she walked deeper into the blooming part of the regrowing nature. There weren't any forests yet since the water resources were still low, but more like small parks or the beginnings of greenery, meaning plants and trees. She had very mixed feelings on what came to the tan furred commander, but mostly she didn't know how to feel or what she should do. But for now she had decided to enjoy the small moments with her son, so she chose a rock in the middle of grass and flowers to sit down on, so she could show them to her very curious firstborn. Felix was still a baby, but had already a strong nature, which wasn't a surprise if looked at his parents.

She placed her son to sit on her lap the way it was easier to point the flowers on the ground. "Look! A Flower" Carbine smiled happily before she kissed her son's head gently which got him to smile. Soon he turned to look at the way his mother was pointing at to try to reach any blades of grass or flower near them. She picked the flower up for him to let him take a look at it, but also making sure he wouldn't stuff it into his mouth straight away.

"I see you both are children of nature" She heard Harley saying which got her to turn her head towards the direction the light brown furred female walked to them. "Hey! You got out of your appointment sooner this time. Is everything alright?" Carbine asked, making her nod. "Actually I got some good news! Even if some test results hadn't come yet, my breathing is finally better. Maybe it's also thanks to all this" Harley smiled at nature which got Carbine smile too. She even took a deep breath with the freshed air, and it clearly looked like it was easier for her to breathe. "That's amazing! No wonder why you are glowing then. And yes, I came here to show Felix the real Mars" Carbine explained, but Harley's next words got her to turn her attention immediately back to her son.

"Just make sure he doesn't taste everything about the real Mars" Harley laughed as she sat down next to her while they saw Felix already trying to eat the flower, which luckily wasn't poisonous even if it wasn't meant to be eaten by baby Martians. "Oh Felix!" Carbine said as she took the flower away from him and checked he hadn't managed to eat any of it yet. "Hey, look at the bright side! He is the son of a Biker Mice.. Meaning that if he is like his father, veggies are not his favorite food" Harley laughed, making Carbine laugh too as Felix grimaced since the flower seemed to taste rather bad. "Lucky me.." Carbine smirked, getting Harley to laugh even more.

"Actually you are.. Throttle's alive! But how do you feel about that?" Harley asked, and had a worried tone in her voice. She knew how much Throttle meant to her, and even if she hadn't been there when the tragic accident had happened, she stood by her side with the decision she made or every feeling she felt. Which actually got Carbine to sigh deeply. "I have heard nothing from them when they left back to Earth.. It's still very hard to believe that he is alive. After what he did to me. But this.. All of this reminds me about him" Carbine started and showed all the plants and grass around them with her hand. "I.. I can believe that.. It is hard to believe what he did to you.. It's so horrible! But also weird that there has been total silence from them this long.. Even from Vinnie.. who.. who doesn't even know I'm here" Harley sighed too, making Carbine smile a bit at her.

"He would even have driven here if he knew you're here. He would have built a giant bridge all by himself from Earth to Mars to get his way to you! Believe me, Harley" Carbine smiled, getting her best friend to laugh a bit. "Probably yes.. But he would have forced Throttle and Modo to help him with the building!" She added, making both of them laugh. For a moment they just enjoyed the happy memories with their loved ones, but then all of the darkness hit them again and silence filled their conversation for a moment. During that Carbine placed Felix better in her arms on her lap and let him play with her hair before she had to move them back behind her back since he started pulling them again.

"I really don't know what to do when he shows up.." Carbine broke the silence, and got a deep sigh as an answer. "Me neither with Vinnie.. But what comes to Throttle, if you aren't going to beat him up, then I will! And after that you get to decide what to do" Harley said determinedly which got Carbine to chuckle. "It's so good to have you back, Harley. I'm sorry that I didn't tell you Vinnie was here and got your sister to hide it too from you.." Carbine said and had her ears dropped down a bit. "I'm so happy to be back here. And Carbine, look.. I see why you did that. I'm not mad at either of you" She said, which got both of them to smile. "That's so good to hear. But you are right about one other thing too.. It really is too quiet.. Has been for a long time" Carbine thought out loud before they heard a loud yelling which got them to turn their heads immediately. "No way!" Harley gasped into tears as she got up fast with her best friend who held her godson in her arms.

"Wa ha haoo! We are back, ladies!!" Vinnie howled as loudly as he could when he stopped driving to boast and throw his arms into the air before popping up a wheelie and doing a flip with his bike. That got Modo to shake his head and chuckle to his friend. "We should be enjoying this all three of us, but instead you had to have your moment-.." He sighed but his words got heard by deaf ears since Vinnie was howling loudly during his stunts with his bike. Modo crossed his arms and sighed again, this time more deeper while rolling his eye.

"Bring me, a female or male, like I'd care, to kiss! We're the heroes!!" Vinnie howled when some mice had started to gather around them before Modo had to pull Vinnie back to sit on his bike. "Vinnie!" He growled, but got unheard. "We should go to the headquarters where Throttle has already gone, you know!!" He growled the way no-one else heard them, but soon they heard someone shouting Vinnie's name before a person ran to the white furred male's arms when he got up from his bike.

"Vinnie!!" A Brown furred martian shouted which got Vinnie more than surprised and it took a moment from him to hug back. "Z- Zeka?! What.. How.." Vinnie mumbled as he turned to look at the dark brown furred male who had run through the crowd to see if it was really the male he had been looking for a long time. "I should ask you the same! Where have you been? I got so worried.." Zeka sighed before kissing Vinnie's cheek as he took his helmet off. "I.. You haven't heard?" Vinnie asked while looking at Modo who looked at the crowd and then the males with an expression of "Maybe we should go somewhere else" which got Vinnie to look at him, then Zeka and then again to Modo, as the way he was asking how.

"Heard what? I have only heard nothing, nothing!! From you!" Zeka started which made Vinnie drop down his ears. He turned to look at the crowd, not the way he would be ashamed of Zeka, no that wasn't it. He looked at everyone the way it had been a really long time to see that many martians at the same place. In a good and a bad way, since he would have wanted to cheer their homecoming, not get a harangue instantly when they arrive. Even if one or two were already waiting for not just one Biker Mice but probably all of them..

"I know.. I'm sorry!" Vinnie started but then got interrupted by the brown furred male. "You're sorry? Is that it? You have been away for so long and all you say is sorry?" Zeka started which got Vinnie to turn to look at Modo again with ears dropped down, but during that Zeka just sighed and shook his head. "Anyway.. Look.. I need to talk with you, Vincent" He said seriously and it seemed urgent which got Vinnie to gulp deeply.

Meanwhile near the hospital where Harley had had her appointment, the females hurried to hug Jessica who walked slowly with Niv's help to their friends. The reason for the yelling had been Niv's cursing after hurting her foot to a rock. "Niv! Jessica! How are you here?" Harley asked while hugging them, making Niv laugh at her sister. "Like we had been away for a long.." She smirked, but then turned to look at Carbine. "Harley probably means Jessica. Shouldn't you be in the hospital? Isn't the due date soon?" She asked, getting the chestnut furred female sigh deeply.

"It seems like our baby doesn't have any kind of hurry to join us.." Jessica lifted her hand on her stomach while having her other arm around Niv's arm before freeing it as they sat down carefully on the rock. She had some trouble doing it but managed to sit with her friends' help. "So she or he is there over time?" Carbine asked and got a nod as an answer. "It's possible especially with firstborns. Maybe your baby is waiting for the father to come back" Harley blurted out, getting Carbine's and Niv's eyes widened but Jessica didn't get it from her words but their reaction.

"Probably.. But why-" She was about to ask as she pointed at the females one by one but Niv hurried to talk over her. "Seems like the babies of the Biker Mice are extra before they are even born!" She laughed, making them laugh while Jessica narrowed her eyes and lifted her arms on her waist. "What are you all hiding? Do you know something that I don't.." She asked and got all three of them to turn to look at each other. It took a moment from them to say anything, and it was Felix who first let out any kind of sound, meaning that he let them all know he was hungry. "Speaking of which. This little boy is extra for what comes to eating" Carbine started to get up, but Jessica grabbed her other leg with her tail.

"Sit down! And talk! Each of you" Jessica demanded, making Harley and Carbine turn to look at Niv who looked at them before rolling her eyes and sighing deeply. "Alright! Dump all the garbage and responsibilities on the Crown princess' shoulders!" She groaned, threw her arms into the air, and normally they would have laughed at that, but now it was their time to tell Jessica the truth. Hopefully it wouldn't make the baby hurry up with the birth.

"Is everything alright, Zeka? Look I know I did wrong when I disappeared but I have my reasons.." Vinnie sighed deeply as the three males finally got away from the crowd, to go near the Freedom Fighters base. "I can confirm that, but we can't say anything more specific.. Only that, when we were here last time, we saved Mars and got water back here at least for some time" Modo said while lifting his helmet on his lap. "I heard that from the news. That's amazing" Zeka said but didn't sound like it.

"But I need to talk to Vinnie in private" He continued, making Modo nod and turn to look at Vinnie the way got him to nod too. Soon the gray furred male drove away to where one of them had already gone, to the headquarters. "Why do you sound so serious?" Vinnie asked as he sat sideways on his bike to lean against it. "I have tried to contact you for so long.. I thought you left me without saying anything" Zeka sighed and dropped down his ears. "Look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to.. You didn't deserve that.." Vinnie said and dropped his ears too.

"I get that.. You are a hero of Mars.. But that wasn't the only thing I wanted to talk with you.." He said and turned to look away. The topic seemed difficult and Vinnie sensed something he didn't like. There was a small moment of silence that got broken by the white furred male. "Did.. Did you find someone else? While.. while I was gone? Is that what you are telling me.." Vinnie asked like the words got stuck in his throat.

It got Zeka turn to look back at him with sadness in his eyes. "I see.. I hope he makes you happy.." Vinnie was about to leave but Zeka grabbed his arm. "No! Don't go.." He started but then hesitated. He seemed like he was about to start crying which got Vinnie to lift his helmet down. "It's alright.. I understand. I was away for too long.. I know what it's like.. I have gone through the same" Vinnie said but got him to shake his head.

"I'm glad that Modo had not seemed to have told you.. But.. It doesn't make this any easier.." Zeka started, getting his eyes widened. "Modo?! But he's with Jessica?! Wait.. He surely came here sooner for a family emergency.. Did he.. What?!" Vinnie mumbled to himself but then saw the brown furred male trembling. "No.. They saw me some time ago at the hospital.." He started, making Vinnie shut his mouth and his eyes to widen.

"A hospital?" He said as they both sat down on the nearest outdoor bench, close to his bike. "You know.. The place where the nurses and doctors take care of hurt or sick martians for example.." Zeka tried to joke while he moved his hands the way he talked, getting Vinnie to chuckle. "I know that place. Have been there myself too" He said but then lowered his ears again since Zeka looked more serious. "For example, like me.." He continued, making Vinnie gulp deeply when he realized it. "Did you get hurt.." He started but then saw him shaking his head. "A- Are you sick?" He asked and got a nod as an answer.

"W- What?" It felt like the ground disappeared under Vinnie's feet while Zeka buried his face in his hands as he leaned his elbows against his knees. He was trembling and Vinnie had no clue what to say or do. "WHAT?!" Jessica shouted actually not far from the place where Vinnie and Modo had met the crowd and Zeka. Niv had had to tell her what had happened, after checking multiple times it was alright to do so. "We understand you are upset, but you need to calm down for the baby" Harley sighed deeply before she turned to look at Carbine's receding back. And after she walked inside a building, Harley turned to look back at her older sister and Jessica.

She had walked a bit away from them to not hear anything Niv told the platinum haired female. She still had so many things to go through in her mind, and also she had to feed Felix somewhere a calmer and private place indoors, meaning the Freedom Fighters headquarters that was the closest building she could go. Even if it wasn't the same base where she and her son were living, she could still use one of the resting rooms there to take care of her baby. During that, she didn't notice that she was being watched.

"Calm down? What a cliche with Biker mice! How could he do that to Carbine?!" Jessica growled while Niv looked like she was sorry about what happened. Even Harley was hurt but she understood why they didn't tell them then. "I.. I don't know.. I really don't know" Niv said and sighed, but then Jessica continued. "Why didn't you tell me and Harley when they were here?" She asked but then felt an ache in her stomach that got her to groan. "Jess?!" Harley hurried closer to her while Niv sighed again. "That's why.. We didn't want to shock you and your baby too much.. Even if this is a bigger shock to Carbine" Niv said as she moved closer to her too.

"Is the baby coming?" Harley asked but only got her to shake her head. "No.. Just a contraction.. Which I have gotten today, but that was a bit more painful.. The baby seems to be big from what the ultrasounds have told" Jessica said and took a bit better position with Harley's help. "Lucky we are both nurses" She smiled, making Jessica smile too. "Yea, but this little Biker mouse would already decide to come out.. My feet and back are killing me and I.. I'm going to be so mad at all three of them when they show up their tails!!" She said before she remembered the topic they were talking about which got Niv and Harley to laugh. "I'm happy you aren't that mad at me and Carbine.. Sometimes what I have to do isn't the nicest thing.." Niv said, which got her to smile gently at her.

"You are not my fiance who disappeared into a mystery secondment without getting to know I was pregnant.. They all had had their tails on what Throttle did to Carbine.. And they all are so screwed I'm not even surprised she was ready to execute them all.." Jessica said, which got Harley to lift her other eyebrow up a bit while Niv just sighed and chuckled at her words as she leaned against her hands behind her back. "Yeah.. I really would like to be the bug on the ceiling to see what happens when he crawls back here.." Niv said which got Harley to laugh. "But you are, sis!!" She winked which got Niv to drop down her jaw as she gasped and bursted out laughing. "You better take that back! Get back here!!" She said as Harley got up fast and she started chasing her little sister that even got Jessica to laugh at the sisters. Harley just shouted a word "A Royal bug" to Niv who tried to catch her while laughing so badly it made running hard, meanwhile Vinnie tried to understand what Zeka had just told him.

"This isn't what I expected our homecoming to be like.." He thought while now it was him who leaned against his hands, his elbows on his knees. "Vinnie.. Please.. Say something.. Just. Anything." Zeka tried to contact him but he just stayed silent with his very loud and busy mind as he was trying to think literally anything. Zeka was looking at him, then away from him but then back at him, without getting any kind of answer.

It took awhile before neither of them said anything. "Look, I totally get that if you are angry at me.. You have all the rights for it.." Zeka sighed but it got Vinnie finally to turn to look at him. He hadn't heard his latest words or then he just didn't copy it since he was still thinking the bad news Zeka had tried to tell him for a long time, without even finding the white furred male since he wasn't even on the whole planet.

"So.. You have.. That thing.." He said and meant it as a question for which he got a nod as an answer. "Yeah.." Zeka sighed and then turned to look away from him. "When did you find out?" Vinnie asked as he kept looking at him. He felt mostly shocked, but then worry filled his mind too. "Are you alright? I mean.. How are you now?" He asked fast, not letting him answer even the first one since questions just kept coming out his mouth. "I got to know some time after you.. disappeared.. But now.. I don't know how I am feeling now.. Maybe better but.. It's hard.." He sighed, making Vinnie drop down his ears. "I wish I got to be by your side when you had to go through that.." He said, which got the brown furred male actually smiling a bit.

"I'm happy to hear that.." He said but then another question got blurted out from Vinnie's mouth. "Did you have anyone by your side? To support you?" He asked and felt a bit relieved when he saw him nodding. "Yea, a friend" He said, getting Vinnie's eyes to widen up. "Only one?! Oh maan.. I should have been here.." He sighed deeply, making Zeka shake his head and grab him from his shoulders. "No! What you did was amazing, Vinnie! You are a hero!" He said, making him sigh. "But it didn't save you from.. that.." He said sadly as he dropped down his ears, which got Zeka to sigh deeply too.

"You wouldn't have saved me from what comes to illness.. You saved Mars, and now there's better chances to make medicines again! So by that, you also saved me, and many others" He smiled, making him smile a bit too, even if it didn't take away his sadness. "But.. It's not the same thing.." He said, making him lift his other arm over his shoulders to pull him closer. "It doesn't have to be. Without water, plants and meds my situation would be worse.. I would have.." He said, making him get up fast and shake his head.

"Don't say that!! Do not. Say. That" Vinnie felt the exact opposite he had felt when he had come back just a moment ago, cheering and howling in the middle of a crowd of martians, just before he got to know that the male he had had something more than just a friendship, had an illness that could cause his death. Or could have caused, during that time when he was away. The situation was still unclear.

"So.. Whenever our royals are ready from wrestling like the good old habits require, I'd like to know where Carbine went.. Felix was hungry for sure but shouldn't they be back already? Or did she decide to feed him on the other side of the planet?" Jessica smirked sarcastically before her questions that were more serious like while she gently petting her stomach as she watched the sisters fighting on the ground. Niv had caught Harley and they had ended up wrestling, or mostly tickling each other playfully as revenge for what the younger sister said about the older one. During that, Harley had accidentally got her other cheek to touch with her sister's eagerly swinging mechanical tail, meaning she had a small reddish scratch on it that wasn't luckily even bleeding.

"That would be possible too, but you are right. And what comes to the old habits, they are very much honored and.. Oh shut up!" Niv said before growling and starting to laugh since Harley bursted out laughing and pointing at her hair, her mohawk had fallen down and part of it was pretty floppy like on her forehead. "Sorryy..." Harley couldn't hold her laugher which got Niv to stomp her way back to her sister to get her revenge as sisterlike as possible. "Ouch!!" Harley whined while Niv just chuckled and walked away while sweeping her hands clean.

"You finally ready?" Jessica coughed and had her other eyebrow lifted up while Niv fixed her hair proudly. "Yes, at least I am. Not sure about my younger and troubled one" She grinned, getting Harley gasp and acting like hurt while she was holding her another ear. "Oh you are sooo going to regret that.." She grinned and whipped her tail mischievously which got Niv only to lift her hands to her waist. "Oh are you going to tell mommy, huh, sis?" She stuck her tongue out her mouth, which got her sister to do the same while Jessica just laughed at them. "How royal-like!" She laughed, getting both of the sisters to laugh and calm down as they started to head towards the direction where Carbine had gone some time ago.

"Maybe I will.. Because you are the troublemaker one from two of us.." Harley continued after they helped Jessica up from the ground and started to walk towards the headquarters. "And I'm soooo proud of it!" Niv cheered, making Harley and Jessica turn to look at each other and laugh while Niv just jumped a bit and lifted her hands behind her head to stomp around proudly, only for a moment before Harley slapped the back of her head, getting her to laugh and walk normally again. Jessica just rolled her eyes and decided to not say anything about their behavior at least for now.

"How.. How bad has it gone?" Vinnie asked even if he didn't want to hear the answer. He had a very bad feeling about what Zeka would say next and he wasn't ready to hear it, but he had to know. He had already lost Harley, and then he couldn't do anything about it. If he was going to lose Zeka too at least he had to make sure he would be there by his side till the end, even if it would hurt him way too much.

There was a moment of silence before Zeka finally answered. He sighed deeply and grabbed Vinnie's hands to look him into his pink eyes. His eyes and expression told everything before sighed and closed his eyes for a moment. "Since you managed to bring water back to Mars, even for a while, my illness is better now. I might survive.." Zeka said, which got Vinnie's expression to cheer up a bit. "How?! I mean that's amazing!!" Vinnie jumped to hug the brown furred male but his words got him to sit back down.

"But there's one thing that got me more worried than that I might die.." Zeka said and then grabbed Vinnie's hands tighter. "What? Zeka what would be worse than that you'd.." Vinnie's ears movements were restless and he wasn't sure what to say or do at that moment. "That there's a chance that you have got it too.." Zeka gulped and then felt tears falling to his cheeks. "Me? But.. How? I mean.. I know that might be infectious through sexual ways, but I'm alright" Vinnie said before he realized what he had just said. "I don't mean you could have cheated on me! Even if I was away for so long.. We never talked about what this even is, between us" Vinnie said which got him nod and smile a bit.

"No.. But before you I was quite active and that's why I'm afraid you have got this too.." Zeka answered which got Vinnie to smile a bit before he turned back to more serious. "We had an amazing time before I left.." Vinnie said, which got Zeka to lean against his shoulder. "I know.. I missed you Vinnie.." He said and then felt Vinnie's arms around him. "I missed you too.. And I'd like to show it to you" Vinnie kissed his cheek but then got pushed away. "Vinnie! Redfever isn't a thing to play with!! I don't want you to get sick" Zeka growled and stood up which got Vinnie to drop down his ears.

"I know.. I'm sorry.." He said and then thought something a bit before he continued. "Do you think I should get myself tested?" He asked and got a nod as an answer. "I don't know how long I have had this before the first symptoms.. Which.. You know, starts down there" Zeka said and got Vinnie to sigh deeply. "Yea.. Haven't had those.. But how bad is your illness? You said you'll survive, but how will it affect your life?" Vinnie asked as he squatted down near him. Zeka's tail was sweeping the red ground behind him but the movements were calm.

"I didn't say I will survive. I might survive, there's a difference. But I have had time to deal with this.. Even if dying scares me for sure. But how bad is this, you asked" He said, which got Vinnie to nod and lean his elbows to his knees to get a bit closer to him. "It has gone to my lungs already.. And I have got a fever because of this, but my cough is still normal" Zeka explained, but his words were like a laser shot straight to Vinnie's chest since he leaned fast backwards and lifted his hands to his face. "Nooo.." He groaned, getting Zeka to get up from the ground to sit back next to him.

"I know it sounds bad. But the doctors have told me I might survive" He said as he gently petted Vinnie's arm before he lifted his hands back to his thighs to turn to look at him again. "Bloody cough means it's spreading to antennas and those are the last symptoms that can't be cured.." Vinnie said as the words got stuck to his throat. "One state before that, not bad, eh?" Zeka tried to joke but that didn't help Vinnie at all. He just turned to look down at the ground as his ears kept hanging close to his shoulders.

"I'm so sorry I wasn't here.. You'd have needed me.." Vinnie said but then felt his hand on his shoulder with a tight grip. "I would, but now you are being too selfish. You saved Mars, Vinnie! All those lives matter more than one!" Zeka growled at him, which only got him to growl back. "But it's your life, Zeka!! I have already lost Harley! I don't want to lose you too!!" He said as he felt more than just a bit distressed. "My life might have got saved too because of you, Vinnie! With your heroic actions I can get medicines again! Maybe even better ones!" He said, getting Vinnie to sigh deeply.

"Might.. And maybe.. But not for sure" He said and tried to hold his tears back. "Probably.." Zeka sighed too, but not for his illness, more like Vinnie's stubbornness which was understandable since he just heard the news. Of course he wanted to do everything possible to save him. He didn't expect anything less from Vinnie, one of the Biker Mice, since he knew him so well already. "Just one more similar kind of word to the list.." Vinnie said sadly and wiped his tears before they dropped down his cheeks. His words just got Zeka to chuckle and sigh again as he leaned backwards against the seat's small backrest.

He lifted his hands behind his head as he turned to look at the sky while waiting for Vinnie to say anything. He let him deal with the news his own way. There was a mild breeze of wind that they both felt in their furs before Vinnie spoke again. "What's next? When are you going back to the hospital? How's the fever? And what did you mean when you talked about Modo earlier? Something that he hadn't told me- Does he know?" Vinnie asked as he turned to look at him looking at the sky, but then he noticed that he had closed his eyes to enjoy the slight wind.

"One thing first, Vinnie. No, I don't have a fever now. I had it, but thanks to water I got out of the hospital recently and can continue living almost normally. I have weekly treatments and controls, speaking of which, when I was going to one of the first ones, I saw Modo and Jessica in the hospital. I had tried to contact you and I was so afraid that you had got Redfever too.. I didn't want them to see me.. I got scared that maybe you had got into the hospital already and they were going to visit you and he would be so mad at me and.." He explained as he had opened his eyes and turned to look at him again, making Vinnie just shake his head and smile slightly.

"No.. I'm not sure what they were doing there then but I wasn't there" He said, making him smile slightly too. "Good to hear that.. but next.." He said but then he turned to look at him seriously. His expression got him to gulp as he grabbed his hands again. "I should ask you the same.. What next Vincent? You know.. I don't want to keep you hanging and waiting for my possible death. It would be a curse to you. Too much pain after you lost Harley" Zeka said and felt pain as he saw tears filling Vinnie's eyes again. "Exactly! I don't want to lose you! Don't say you are leaving me.. Not like this.. I don't want to hear from somewhere else or read from the magazines that you have crossed the border!!" Vinnie bursted out crying, getting Zeka to pull him into a tight hug to let him cry against his brown fur.

"I don't want to lose you either.. I don't want our thing to end, but I think we should continue our lives separately.." Zeka cried too since he felt Vinnie trembling as he hugged him back. "I see your point but I don't want to.. I want to be by your side.. You were there for me when I needed it the most. Let me do the same to you.." Vinnie said but felt him shaking his head. "No.." Zeka whispered as they both kept crying against each other. A Beep from Vinnie's motorcycle got Vinnie's ears to twitch and both of them ended their hug.

"She's alright.. But.. Don't leave me like this, Zeka. Please" Vinnie sobbed and it was hard for him to continue. "It's unfair that you have got this time to think things through and then you rip my heart out of my chest after telling those horrible news.. Tell me this is just a bloody joke! The Worst one!" Vinnie growled and he kept growling even if he felt his hand under his jaw. "I know that.. I would have told you earlier, but let's not go to that anymore.. We can't get that time back, but I'll let you think this, Vinnie.. Now I have to go.. To one of the controls, and no, I can't take anyone with me there.." Zeka said as he got up from the seat.

Vinnie got up immediately after him, but when he was about to follow him, he felt his hand on his chest. "No, Vinnie. You can't come.. We'll meet later" He said and then handed Vinnie his helmet as a sign for him to go somewhere else, probably to where Modo had gone some time ago. "You promise? Really, Zeka. Do you promise that?" He asked, which got him to smile a bit. "I promise. I promise you that, Vinnie. Now go to celebrate your and your friends' amazing job" He said, even if he knew it would be too hard for Vinnie, which was right. That would be the last thing Vinnie wanted to do anymore.

"What a horrible choice of words.." Vinnie said as he turned to look at his helmet in his hands. "See you later, Vinnie" Zeka waved at him, not kissing him or anything before he left to walk to the hospital. "Let me drive you there!" Vinnie hurried to say but got him to just shake his head before he turned his back to him. He wanted to enjoy the slight wind and walk calmly but also think everything peacefully as much as he wanted to give Vinnie some time to think too. "We better meet Zeka again.. Don't you dare to die before it.." Vinnie cried and stuffed his helmet to his head before he drove away. But as much as he would have wanted to drive after him, he drove away. And without him knowing it.. He just drove to a place where his instincts told him to go..

Soon after Harley, Niv and Jessica had left to search for Carbine, they had got an idea about going separate ways. Or actually Jessica had the idea since the sisters couldn't stop messing around and it really started to get on her nerves, not forgetting her arching back and feet. Neither Niv or Harley wanted to leave her alone so Niv continued the search near the headquarters with Jessica while Harley got back to the meadow or park-like place where she had found Carbine in the first place, as if she had already got back there too and probably wonder where the others had gone.

They had walked already for some time, meaning that it took the same from Harley to walk back, but when she finally got there, there was much bigger surprise than her best friend and her godson. A White furred male mouse with a red motorcycle. The View got her gasp and lifted her hand on her mouth as she started crying immediately. But soon she noticed what the male was doing, she moved her hand over her heart to just follow his movements of his old hobby that she had always admired about him. Vinnie was dancing.

Dancing had always been his way to deal with difficult things and emotions, but even if he was dancing now in a quite public place and he was more than just a bit of a show off type of person, he didn't dance in front of an audience. During dancing he was showing his vulnerable side and because of that, there were just a couple of mice who knew about his hobby and one and the first one of them was Harley. Also Zeka knew about his hobby since it had been part of their meeting for the first time, but it was sort of unclear if his bros knew.

But as much she just wanted to run into his arms, she didn't want to interrupt his dance, since from his movements and expressions she could tell he felt distress, he was having hard time and he was trying to deal with something that put extra weight on his shoulders, and the reasons she could just guess while watching him with tears rolling down her cheeks. He didn't notice her since he was so concentrated on his doings that he had his eyes closed. During his breakdance styled dancing, Vinnie had traveled in his mind to a memory when he met Zeka for the first time.

Throwback: How Vinnie met Zeka

Vinnie was having a very hard time after Harley got kidnapped by Mace. He had tried to search for her for a long time but every single time he or the guards and other search groups found no signs of her or the rat, he fell deeper and deeper into the dark side in his mind. He got badly depressed and the only thing that gave him at least a bit of comfort was to get it from other males which made him more than just a bit confused, but in the end, he found himself being Bi sexual.

Most of the times he was having fun with other males went good, but there was one night that didn't end up that good as usual. There had been some mice following his doings for some time and they were very displeased about one of the heroic Biker Mice having fun with other males, especially when it was the Mars biggest womanizer, Vinnie. He was walking home from a bar when six other male martians started to follow him to one of the alleys near his apartment. One of them threw a pebble into his back, getting him to twitch his ears and turn around to see the males walking closer to him.

"What do you want?" Vinnie asked as he stopped walking when he felt the pebble hitting his back. "It's none of your business, cheater.." One of the males growled as he nodded the others to walk around Vinnie who kept following all of their movements as much as he could while being drunk. "Shit.. Great.." Vinnie thought in his mind while noticing he didn't have his flares with him as usual when he headed to the bar to get some drinks and company. He sensed that they didn't want anything good to him and in the alley in the night, in his situation, he wasn't at his strongest.

"It's my business when you circle me and stop my way" He growled as he felt weird in his eyes, thanks to the drinks he had had during the evening. His words got the males only to chuckle and smirk at each other. "Like you used to circle females, huh? Is that how it is nowadays, you jumped to the other side, Vinnie?" A male behind his back talked which got them to smirk even more as he got Vinnie to growl. "What does my company have to do with you? I have not been with any of your mates.." Vinnie said as he tried to stay alert about all of their movements and locations. At the same time, he tried to think his way out of the situation, but it didn't seem any good to him. There weren't any ways to escape, down or up either from there, meaning he had to go through from one of the blocked directions.

"There's no escape for you. And it wouldn't have been that bad if you'd flirted with some of our females, but to change to the other side! We can't forget that. That's not how the biggest womanizer of Mars should act!!" The First male who had talked, growled with his teeth showing which got Vinnie to growl too. "Why does it matter who I am with?! It's none of your business!" Vinnie raised his voice so all of them could hear him, but it seemed more like a mistake since the males started to head closer to him, but at least one other heard him too from the other side of the street.

"Of course it's our business! It affects us and our fame when you started to do nasty things with males!!" Another male growled which got Vinnie to snort. "What a bad life you have.. You are definitely not enjoying much of it if you have time to think about other mice sex life!" Vinnie blurted out, but when the first of the males snapped his fingers, nodded towards Vinnie while looking at the others, and the males started heading towards him, he felt sudden anxiety and panic filling his mind.

Normally he could defend himself easily, but for some reason he saw Harley getting kidnapped again in front of him which got him to lift his arms across his head to cover himself as he yelled loudly "NO!!" as the males attacked him. He couldn't defend her from the rat, how could he defend himself from a group of males?!

But soon the first two males punched their fists to Vinnie's sides, making him groan in pain, one, two and three other males got thrown away to the closest trash cans. "Get out of here!!" A Brown furred male shouted loudly as he joined the fight while Vinnie got dropped to his knees as he tried to cover his head at the same time he got a very clear flashback to the day when the female he loved had got taken away from him by force. He didn't realize at first what was happening, but when he heard the males groaning as they were fighting with someone else, he lifted his other arm a bit down to turn around to look behind his shoulder. There he was. A Brown furred male, fighting against a group of males, all by himself, defending Vinnie who froze in a shock, not able to defend himself at all in a fight.

"Are you alright? Let's get out of here before they get up again. Hopefully not soon" The Male said when he ran to Vinnie after beating the males, or actually mostly tricking them to punch and beat each other to the ground. "W- What.. Who are you?" Vinnie asked, but didn't get any answers as the male, much bigger than him, pulled him up from the ground to pull him with him to run to somewhere safer. "I can carry you if you legs won't do it, but we gotta be fast!" He just said and after that Vinnie could only remember waking up on the same male's couch with a heck of a headache. He was having a hangover with a few quite bad bruises.

"Good morning, how are you?" The Brown furred male said as he walked to the living room in his small apartment. He handed him a glass of something that reminded him a bit of herbal drinks but he couldn't be sure of it. "Not the best.. Morning.. And thanks.." Vinnie sighed deeply as he took the drink and the painkillers from the male. "I can believe that.. You were in quite bad shape even before that group showed up.." The Male said, getting Vinnie to lift up his other eyebrow. "I'm Zeka. I was working at the bar where you left the last yesterday, remember?" The Male introduced himself while Vinnie drank down the drink with the painkillers.

"Actually, no.. Sorry.. Vincen- Vinnie. I'm Vinnie" He said while wiping the drink off his jaw. "That'll help you soon. Not with the bruises though, they'll heal with time.. Luckily you didn't get any ribs broken" He said as he got up from a chair he had sat when gave him the drink and the medicines. "I don't feel lucky.. But maybe I am, since I got saved by the bar's bouncer" Vinnie smiled, getting Zeka to laugh and shake his head, which made Vinnie look confused.

"Did I say something funny?" He asked as he saw the male sitting down again after filling his glass with another herbal drink and making one for himself too. "Were you really that wasted you didn't notice that the bar's bouncers were almost double my size?" Zeka laughed, making Vinnie's expression look even more confused as he couldn't remember much from last night. "Double your size? Woah.. I really can't remember.. Sorry.." He said, got him to swing his other hand as the way to tell him to leave it.

"I'll take that as a compliment! But I was just a waiter, or actually fill-in, doing a favor for a friend" Zeka explained, making Vinnie smile and nod. "So you are a waiter? Zeka was it?" Vinnie asked, getting the male laugh and move his over shoulder length hair behind his back. "Yea, I am, Bad memo" He smirked, getting Vinnie snort and almost choke on his drink as he was taking another sip from the second one since he drank the first with one gulp.

"Hey! Don't mock me! I had enough last night thanks.." He said even if he was laughing too which made Zeka laugh more too before he winked his other eye at him, making him gulp a bit and almost blush. Was the male flirting with him? "Alright.. But thanks, for everything. You really saved me last night" Vinnie said after getting rid of the thought, maybe he just imagined the guy winking at him. "No problem. I can't stand those kinds of males.. But are you sure you are alright? I thought you were one of the Freedom Fighters? At least you look much like one of them? But maybe I was wrong.. I thought they'd fight back.." Zeka said, making him turn to look down at the floor and drop down his ears.

It took a small moment from Zeka to notice his reaction which got him to move to sit next to him on the couch to lift his hand on his arm. "Hey, I'm sorry. That was rude" He said, getting him to shake his head. "No, you are right.. I am a freedom fighter, and normally I really do fight back. I'm one of the Biker Mice! .. But.. Last night.." Vinnie started to explain, but then sighed deeply, not noticing that Zeka's ears twitched when he heard the words of Biker Mice.

"It's alright.. Maybe.. Maybe it was the alcohol? Whatever it was, it's your business and I'm just glad you are alright" He said as he moved his hair again behind his back since they seemed to fall to his face when he leaned a bit downwards. "No.. Actually.. I got a terrible flashback that made me freeze.." Vinnie started, but when he was about to continue, he had a feeling that maybe he should stay quiet about it. If he started to talk about Harley now, the pain would come back, even if it was already there.

"No need to tell me. Like I said, it's your business. But are you sure you are alright? Should I get you to the doctor?" Zeka asked as he stood up from the couch, but when he did that, Vinnie found himself looking at his back and eyeing his body. He started to pull his hair to the back of his head to tie it into a topknot. For some reason Vinnie found it attractive. "No Vinnie.. He saved you.. He probably isn't even into males.." He thought to himself and then shook his head. "No thanks.. I should probably head home where I was going last night before that accident.." He said but then noticed the male handing him his green X shaped bandoleer which made him realize he was shirtless.

"Alright, but don't forget this, or else I have to find you again to give this to you" Zeka smiled, making him smile too as he took it from him, and during that their hands touched slightly which got Vinnie to gulp again. "Thanks.. But.. This is embarrassing, but why am I not wearing this now? Did something happen? I mean-" He said and then felt himself blushing, not sure how his words sounded to the other male's ears. "You had an urgent need to take it off last night, which was alright! I get that, it seems tight.." Zeka smirked as Vinnie pulled the both parts of the bandoleer on him before connecting them with two buttons. During that he noticed Zeka looking at his muscles which got him blushing a bit again.

When they noticed looking at each other, Vinnie turned away first, Zeka following after. "You said that you don't sleep with it" He ended up saying before their eyes met again. "Yeah, I don't.. But thank you for helping me and taking care of me, I mean.." Vinnie said and ended up gulping again which got the male to smirk and chuckle. "You're welcome! And if you need someone to guard your back in those alleys again, you know where to find me. I usually work at the bar next to yesterday's one" Zeka said as Vinnie headed to the front door. "But wouldn't you want breakfast first?" Zeka hurried to ask, making him turn around to look at him.

"Thanks, and no thanks. I feel like yesterday's drink might come up soon.. I better head home. But I keep that in mind if I need help with those guys again" Vinnie smiled, getting him to smile too. "Or with any kind of guys or dancing.." Zeka winked at him again, getting Vinnie blush, confused and then nodded before he left. How did he know about Vinnie's hobby? "Oh maan, what else have I forgotten?" Vinnie thought to himself while heading home from the male's apartment.

Both of them couldn't get each other out of their mind and it didn't take many days from Vinnie to find the exact bar where the brown furred male was working. At first everything started with a friendship, and Vinnie even ended up telling Harley to Zeka, which had felt obviously bad for him, not only because Vinnie had lost his loved one tragically, but also that Zeka thought he was more into females than males. But when they got to know each other more and more, both of them started to wonder if the other one might be flirting with them or not, and after some time, Vinnie finally found out what Zeka's job was about, since when he found him in the bar for the first time, he was still-in waiter again, not in his own duty as a dancer. And dancing was actually one of the common things between the males, especially after Vinnie finally could remember again what he had forgotten from that night..

It had been alright for Zeka that Vinnie had told him about Harley, but when at one night when sky was clear and one of the Mars two moons was lighting the sky, Vinnie had found Zeka starting his show in the club. "Hey.. Do you know where I can find a male named Zeka? He should work here" He asked from the bartender after ordering a beer for himself, but when the bartender pointed towards the stage and Vinnie turned around while taking a big sip of his drink, he spilled a bit on him as he was about to choke once again to it.

"Bull's right there" The Bartender just said as he pointed at the stage where the brown furred male opened his hair from a tight ponytail after ripping his shirt open as he was dancing erotically. Vinnie's jaw dropped to the ground a bit before Zeka noticed him in the audience. He whistled other dancers to join him to the stage too as a part of the performance while Vinnie tried to find his way to one of the couches in the most further corner of the bar. Not soon, the stripper danced himself to the white furred male while the other dancers kept entertaining other customers.

"Evening, sir. Why did you come to the furthest corner? The Stage's over there" Zeka smirked as he jumped on the table in front of Vinnie. "E- Evening.." Vinnie stuttered before noticing the waitress dropping a shot into his glass that Zeka had ordered for him. "It'll make you calm down your nerves and relax, Vinnie" He smiled, getting him to smile back and take a sip from his beer. "Thanks.. But you didn't tell me you were a dancer.. Got me to think you are a bouncer.." He said after getting a bit more of his confidence back.

"Well.. I can be that too if you want" Zeka winked at him before he squatted down erotically. "But Vincent. Look, I'm a stripper. It's not just dancing" He grinned, making Vinnie gulp as he looked clearly at his body. "Oh yea?" He said just before he found the male's belt behind his neck as he pulled him closer to him. "Yea. And I want you to enjoy the show tonight. Or else I think I should take you again with me to my house.. Not talking on the couch this time, Hot stuff" Zeka winked at him, making him bite his lip and hurry to take another sip from his drink.

But soon after Zeka lifted his hand on his cheek where his mask was, he got a strong flashback to the cave in the desert, with Harley.. "Here we go Hot shot.. Flex plate shielding for vehicle repairs and the occasional macho mouse makeover.." He heard her voice clearly which got him to shake his head fast. "No!" He growled, which got Zeka confused and to back up. "Alright, sorry! I thought.. Sorry, Vinnie.." Zeka hurried to say awkwardly as he dropped down his ears and to take his belt fast off behind the male's neck, but when he looked into Vinnie's pink eyes, he saw him being hurt. "It's not that! I.. got a flashback.. One mouse used to call me Hot shot.. Which is almost like what you said.. She helped me with this.." Vinnie sighed deeply as he pointed at his mask, which got Zeka to nod and wrap his belt around his other hand.

"Oh, I get that.. But I'm still sorry" Zeka said, but when he was about to go away to continue his show, Vinnie bit his lower lip as he wondered many things in his head, then got fast up the couch, grabbed his hand in his to pull him around before he kissed him fast. After that Vinnie allowed Zeka to striptease him, and that kiss was one of the many first kisses between the males and after that night their friendship turned to be more than just a friendship.

From time to time, one thought had been popping to Vinnie's mind. Why had it been so alright for Zeka when he had told him about Harley? Of course they had talked about her when Vinnie had needed it, he had seemed to be so understanding and had told him that it also hurt him to hear that, but mostly he had been okay when Vinnie had a need to talk about her, the female he had always loved the most in his life. But when he thought that and also the news Zeka had just told him, as he spun around during his dance moves, a scent filled his nose which caused him to open his eyes immediately, to meet Harley's blue eyes. There she was standing, right in front of him. Had he danced too much that he would have probably fallen and hit his head and died? Or how on Mars would she be there? Was he hallucinating now? Was she an angel from Paradise and had come to visit him? Was Harley.. dead?

"Vinnie.." Harley whined as tears filled her eyes again, almost immediately she had even stopped crying. "W- What.. H-How.." Vinnie couldn't get words out of his mouth, he just stared at her, but immediately she dashed into his arms crying loudly, he realized it was actually her and he bursted into tears too, they both fell on their knees on the ground to cry against each other, which took some time before they could even calm down and take a deep breath.

"Harley!!" Vinnie cried as he held her tightly against him as they hugged each other. "Vinnie!" Harley cried and felt both of their bodies trembling. "How.. Harley.." Vinnie would have wanted to ask how she was there, or was he imagining things, but without saying anything, Harley just leaned against his knees with her hands and offered her antennas to him. She was crying but looking into his pink eyes, which made him to lean against her antennas to share the connection during which Harley told, or mostly showed him everything from where Mace took her, how he treated her, how she was suffering near death till Niv had came to rescue her, Mace had ended up being Dan, they had got back to Mars and everything till the moment she had went to look for Carbine but found him instead. And during the connection Vinnie also showed her how much hard time he had had and how much he had been searching for her, but he couldn't tell or show her anything about how he had got comfort from other males. That would have been too much for her for now. Maybe he would tell her later, but now he just wanted to hug her tightly after they ended the connection.

"I missed you so much! I was so afraid I wouldn't see you again!" Harley said at the same time Vinnie started to say the same which caused them to cry again with a bit of laughter in it too. "No, you go first.. I just want to hear your sweet voice, Harley" Vinnie hurried to say as they sat better on the grass where Vinnie had been dancing just a moment ago. "I wondered how those explosions sounded so familiar before Carbine had to tell me it was you, Biker Mice.." Harley smiled which got Vinnie to blush and laugh.

"I'd have wanted to know that you were here all that time.. Oh maan.. I.. I.." Vinnie started to say but ended up speechless during which Harley just nodded and smiled at him warmly. "That's why I wanted to share the connection with you. I had no words either.. It was better to show everything than to say out loud that it was Modo's father who kidnapped me.." Harley sighed, getting Vinnie's eyes wide up. "WHAT?!" He gasped and jumped a bit when he turned to look at her as he was looking at the ground only for a small moment since he just wanted to look at her and her beautiful face after so long.

"Mace ended up being Modo's father, who was searching for help for his mutation.. He's not originally rat.." Harley said and had shivers going down her spine as a trauma reaction. "WHERE IS HE?!" Vinnie got up from the ground fast, getting her to get up too. "Vinnie.." She sighed and shook her head as a sign she didn't either know or want to tell, but he grabbed her arms and looked straight into her eyes. "Where. Is. He." He demanded and was clearly angry. She had never seen him as angry as he was now. And just a moment ago they had both been in a shock and been crying together their eyes out of their heads.

"He's being held in a prison by the royal guards.. But, Vinnie!!" She started to say but he dashed away angrily which she understood but it got her to run after him and grab his hand tightly to get him to stop right there. During that Vinnie got a small flashback to the moment when Zeka was about to leave him, he had grabbed his hand and then kissed him for the first time. It was a similar kind of moment than this, except Zeka hadn't been angry like he was now, more like disappointed or hurt, but like then, a kiss was there too. Harley kissed him to get him to drop down his ears and melt into the kiss immediately.

"Harley.." Vinnie started but then felt tears filling his eyes again. He fell on his knees to cry loudly again, which got Harley to sit right there next to him. "Vinnie, I'm here. I might not be like I used to, but my health is getting better. I.. I still.." Harley was about to say but Vinnie interrupted her. "I love you!! I love you Harley! I have always loved!!" He cried loudly, getting her to lift her hands on her mouth as she started to cry again too. "Vinnie.." She cried for longing but then felt his hands on hers as he moved her hands away so he could kiss her lovingly.

"I'm so sorry I couldn't save you! I wasn't male enough to do that.. I.. I'm forever thankful to your sister, Niv, for rescuing you!! Harley I love you!" He said while tears kept running down his cheeks as he looked into her eyes, holding her hands in his at the same. "Oh Vinnie.. I love you too! You really are male enough for me! Don't you ever think anything else than that!" She cried and ended up wiping his tears away before he kissed her again lovingly. She was surprised how humble he was, but she knew that she was the only one he could show his vulnerable side, wasn't she?

After a few kisses both of them ended up laughing while still crying and Harley pushed him to lay on his back on grass so she would lay on him. Vinnie wrapped his arms tightly around her before they rolled to their other side. "I really have missed you.. Also my family and friends but you more than anything else.." Harley snuggled against his chest while he enjoyed her smell from her hair. "I can't even describe how much I have missed you, and how I am feeling now.." Vinnie sighed deeply after he had managed to calm down at least a bit. "Couldn't agree more!" Harley sighed deeply too which got them laughing together before Vinnie got a bit up to kiss her again.

She wrapped her arms around his neck to kiss him back as he got above her half. "What if we get back together?" Vinnie asked and then smooched her forehead to let their antennas touch for a moment to share a quick connection as a way to show love and his feelings for her. "Back together? Have we broken up?" Harley asked, but when Vinnie started to feel anxious about remembering Zeka again, she laughed and smooched his nose to get him to snap back to reality. "Of course! I'll never leave you again, Vinnie" Harley cried before kissing him again. "Me neither.." Vinnie said and kissed her back even if his mind felt like a total mess again..

What would Vinnie do? He had just heard that Zeka was seriously ill and then found out that Harley was alive, saved and back on Mars. Zeka had made it clear that it would be better if they continued their lives separately, and since they never talked about what their thing was, could it be called a break up then. But should he tell Harley about him? What if she finds it out some other way? What if she starts to hate him and wants to never see him again? What should he do? And why it had really been alright to talk about Harley if asked from Zeka?
