Few days later, at the Army practice in the forests

Author's pov:

"That was an order!! Are you sure you want to argue with me?" Carbine yelled to a soldier who had stood against her orders. "I do not care if you are general or what, but I don't do your shit work!" A Soldier, a few inches taller than Modo, growled at Carbine. She didn't accept any kind of insubordination but after she had told the truth to Harley, and to Vinnie, she had slept much worse and been much more nervous than normal.

"Do you really want a demotion?" Carbine crossed her arms and looked at the soldier demandingly. She really was so full of those hotheads that thought themselves as an immortal almighty.

"You don't dare to do that! I'll make you not to!!" The Soldier yelled making Carbine this time jump a bit. She opened her arms and took a couple steps backwards as a sign of being a bit afraid, but that just only made the soldier's hunger grow.

"I'm sure you won't!!" Someone shouted making the soldier turn his head to the comer. That also made Carbine turn to look at him. Vinnie was coolly swinging his tail from the side to side while keeping his arms crossed. Throttle, Modo and Harley had come with him but caught him up after he had already had his hero moment.

"And who you think you are, shrimp?" The Soldier laughed when Vinnie had walked to them and saw his real height. "The One who makes you shut your mouth" He answered but when the soldier was about to say something, he continued over him. "You heard the lady speaking. General's words are your orders!!" He said with that threatening voice that even surprised Carbine and his other friends.

"Y- Yes.. I'm sorry ma'am.." The Soldier said and looked at Carbine. After that he vanished to do his duties that Carbine had demanded him to do. "What was that about, Vinnie?" Throttle said when they had finally arrived. "Nothing!" Carbine answered to Throttle and then turned to Vinnie. "Thank you.. But how did you..?" She asked and was truly surprised.

"I learnt from the wiser" He chuckled and meant Carbine herself. She understood it and laughed too. Others were quite confused about what was happening. "But are you okay?" Vinnie asked making Carbine glare at him. Harley understood what he had meant but the other males didn't. "Is everything okay here? What was that about?" Throttle said and was about to walk to Carbine, but then Vinnie lifted his hand protectively to Carbine's shoulders making Throttle and even Harley look at them with confused faces.

"Everything is totally fine! Right General?" Vinnie said and smiled proudly. Carbine rolled her eyes but was surely thankful to Vinnie about protecting her. "Everything is totally fine. Cleaning the practice places ain't just everybody's favorite thing to do.." Carbine explained but Throttle didn't quite buy that.

"So why did you guys come here?" Carbine said making Throttle even more suspicious. "You called us.. You needed some help with something?" He said and Harley nodded as an agreement. "Oh right.. Sorry.. I was just tired.. We have been two nights already.. The practice makes everyone's nerves quite tight!" Carbine said but Harley saw her lying.

"But yeah.. We needed some extra hands to carry some stuff back to the main camp. There's a northern base that needs to be replaced to the new, but the old needs to be packed up first.." Carbine explained and then pointed towards the right direction.

"You know I'd help with some other things too.." Throttle whispered huskily to her ears after Vinnie and Modo had nodded and started walking to the north. Vinnie's whining, about how anyone could use a forest in a war since there weren't any streets for bikes, could be heard from kilometres away, that made Harley laugh while Carbine rolled her eyes to him and to Throttle too.

"I need your help with the northern base.. So let's go." Carbine said but then Throttle slapped her butt gently before saying "I could help with the southern too, Carbine" He smirked but since Carbine had been so tense lately, she turned right away around and growled to Throttle. "Do that again and you'll never see your tail again!!" She yelled making some of the soldiers there turn to look at them.

"Sorry.. I haven't slept very well.." Carbine said after they had started heading to the north. "I understand.. But I should apologize about being so impolite.. Sorry Carbine.." He said and then caught up with the other Biker Mice after Harley had asked Carbine to have a couple words with her.

"Your sleeping has nothing to do with the forest practice.. Am I right?" Harley said making Carbine nod while she was looking at where she was stepping. The Ground was very hard to handle even afoot.

"You know what bothers me.." She said and tried to look at her friend. "And that's totally understandable.. I think you should talk about it with someone professional.." Harley said making Carbine growl a bit. "But you are!" She said but Harley shook her head. "I'm a nurse.. Not a psychology or a doctor.. Did you even get yourself checked after what happened?" She asked worriedly while walking.

"Yeah.. My Uncle demanded that I meet a doctor after the "accident".. You know what he's like.." Carbine said and then they started to see the camp coming in the view. "Did you tell them what happened? The doctor I mean.." Harley managed to ask but right then they arrived at the camp and Carbine changed the subject which really bothered Harley. She could easily see that her dear friend wasn't alright at all.

"Everything looks good in here! It seems like everything is packed up in a couple of hours, special thanks for the help we got!" Carbine said so all there could hear her. Harley just kept looking at her worriedly. And her worry got even bigger after they heard a voice they never wanted to hear again.

"No need to thank us, General Carbine. We always got your back like the Army does anyways!" Sergeant Scabbard walked behind the soldiers that were packing a tent that had just been disassembled. Harley's blood started boiling right after she saw that asshole in front of her. Carbine jumped a bit and clearly had a terrified expression on her face. She had been seeing nightmares about that thing happening again by him, and that made her even more nervous.

"What is it? Did a cat get your tongue?" Scabbard grinned widely and started to walk closer to Carbine who froze right there on her place, but then someone stood in front of her that made her blink her eyes and come back to reality. She shook her head like she had just woken up by someone's touch. Throttle saw that and had a very suspicious expression on his face. Modo had some thoughts in his mind too after seeing that.

"Did you come to take a rematch with me or what are you doing here, Sergeant?" Vinnie growled and stood right in front of Carbine. He held his right hand on her back as a sign of protection while Carbine was still quite afraid. And even if Harley thought that was well done from him, she couldn't deny that she was quite jealous.

"Not with you, shrimp. But with Carbine.. Yes" Scabbard grinned making Carbine even more terrified. Vinnie could feel her being very scared, because she got closer to his back. Vinnie's anger got bigger and he took a step towards Scabbard. "GET YOUR SHIT OUT OF HERE, NOW!!" He yelled furiously making everyone there surprised. After that Harley stood next to Vinnie and raised her voice. "Didn't you hear what he said to you?!" She said and tried to defend her friend too.

"Since when have nurses given orders to sergeants? Especially a nurse that's cute like you.." The Sergeant grinned while the soldiers kept silent, but they had also stopped packing so they could follow the show better. But those words made Throttle and Modo walk to their friends too. They had been packing a little far from them, but could still hear everything.

"Is there any problem here, Sergeant?" Modo growled and then his right eye started to glow as a red. Throttle made a suspicious look to the sergeant too which made him chuckle but also take a few steps backwards. "No there isn't.. We get these tents away and then leave.." He growled and turned his back to the Biker Mice and the girls. "But we'll meet sooner than you think, Carbine.." He smirked and then left.

Vinnie was so ready to go kick his ass again, but Throttle lifted his hand on his shoulder. "Calm down.. He's just purposely annoying you.." Throttle said but then Vinnie said something that made Harley's eyes widen but also Carbine growl to him again. "Like you knew anything about the truth!" He said but then Carbine kicked his ankle making him jump a bit.

"What is he talking about?" Throttle asked and turned to look at Carbine, he had noticed the kick and count one plus one. That had something to do with Carbine and he was definitely right since their ways of acting had been so weird lately. "Nothing! Let's just pack these things and leave.. We have a tight schedule, so let's hurry up everybody!" Carbine said and shouted the last sentence so everyone in her group could hear.

After that they continued the packing without talking, but all that time Throttle kept his eyes tightly on Carbine and Vinnie. What were they hiding from him? Meanwhile Carbine's nerves had gotten much tighter after hearing Scabbard's threats. Was he really planning to do that thing to her again..?!
