Author's pov:

Two months later, after Lady Niv had formally apologized to her husband in front of everyone who had been in the evacuation center that day. They all now had gathered together at the same place, since she had another announcement to make. She had a royal parchment in her hands which was confirmed by the Queen.

"The Royal family proudly announces that the Golden Star General Stoker will be the new carrier of the Platinum Star from this day forward! Like the former Commander in Chief wanted and the Martian Government had first suggested, now the General Stoker has accepted his duty to become the next Commander in Chief, while still being able to lead both the forces, the Martian army and the resistance movement Freedom Fighters! But to not make his job too difficult at once, we'll promote the Two Star General Carbine to his rightful adjutant to help him with his duties with the military forces!" Niv announced while her husband stood right next to him when Carbine's eyes widened and she gasped, not close to faint too, which caused Throttle to lift his hands on her arms to be sure she stayed on her feet.

"W- What? For real?" Carbine stuttered, getting her uncle nod to her while the princess ended the announcement formally by thanking everyone for listening and patience for everything, things would get better soon. "Yes, I thought you would like it.. And I really need some help now with both of the forces. I will still concentrate more on the resistance side.. Troublesome, isn't it?" He said, making her nod and jump a bit. "Of course! I can't wait to get to work!" She smiled brightly, but then felt Throttle's hand on her arm. "Would you mind if I steal a moment from you before you disappear to your new duties, General?" He smirked, making her turn to look at him before nodding.

"I have always time for you, Throttle" She chuckled before he nodded her to follow him after everyone started to leave from the area when the princess had told it was alright. "Stoker.. I would want to have a word with you" They heard Niv saying which made them turn to look at the couple walking away from the crowd to talk privately. "Where are we going?" Carbine asked, but then Vinnie, Modo and the females joined them. "Should we start to plan your thirties Throttle?" Vinnie grinned, making the commander turn to look at him confused.

"They are not even close yet! Almost a year to go.." He chuckled, but then turned to Jessica who talked next. "We couldn't celebrate Modo's either since you were on the field back then.. Birthday parties wouldn't be too much, would they?" She smiled, but then Throttle sighed. "I planned to spend this day with Carbine.." He started, getting the general smile and patting his biceps gently. "We have multiple other days to be together too!" She said, getting the commander to turn to look at his bros. "What?" Vinnie didn't get it while Modo realized the hint from his expression right away.

"Oh right.. Maybe some other day then.. You two were going somewhere?" Modo said, but then they heard loud screaming and cheering from the other side of the lounge area. "Is that really true?!" Stoker held Niv in his arms while she cried happily. "Yes!!" She had her arms wrapped around his neck while she had lifted her legs backwards up too. "What is true?" They all walked to them to get to know what got them so happy all of a sudden.

"Should we tell them?" Stoker asked, getting Niv lift her hands on her stomach after he had lifted her back down. The Brown furred male stood a bit on her way to block her from being seen by anyone other than their group when they gathered there. "I'm expecting Stoker's baby!" She smiled warmly while crying, making all of them gasp happily and run to hug the couple. "Congratulations!" They all shouted, but as quietly as they could, which wasn't actually possible when talking about the Biker Mice.

"Well it was about time for you, Old Timer! Are you sure you aren't too old? Did you need a guidance book to do it?" Vinnie smirked while patting Stoker's back, getting him to laugh at his words. "This is our second child, Punk! Where's yours?" He grinned, making the white furred male chuckle while swinging his tail behind his feet. "I'm not in a hurry to have some.. Harley first.." He said, while the females had gathered around Niv to hug and giggle with her since they all were so happy for her. "Second?!" They realized a bit later what the new Commander in Chief had just said.

"Our daughter has been missing.. But we'll find her too.." Niv sighed deeply while Stoker moved to pet her stomach gently. "And before this little one sees this world for the first time.. She or he needs to have the older sister here to meet right away" He smiled before smooching her forehead, getting her lean against him. "Yes, but meeting this little one will take time.. But speaking of our firstborn, I need to contact the elite forces. Would you come with me?" She looked into his eyes before he nodded to her. "Of course! I am the new Commander in Chief after all, am I not?" He smirked, which got her smile even more lovingly to him before they left, his arm around her shoulders.

"How amazing.. Mars will have some new tini-tiny feet tippity-tapping on the red ground soon!" Carbine had her hands on her cheeks, while admiring the couple, which got the others surprised or even a bit scared since they had never seen her acting like that. Only Harley knew for sure how much she liked children and had dreamed for long to have her own someday too. But since she wasn't there now, it really looked like something had possessed the black haired female which got the others in shock.

"T- Tippity-tapping..?" Vinnie's eyes widened when he gulped. He felt like he would be allergic to that word since it was so far from the Biker Mice's macho vocabulary, meaning the word made him almost feel sick. "Yes! I can wait to meet that little boy or girl!" Jessica sighed while jumping up and down. "Good to hear that Mars is repopulating itself, but the work won't do itself.. My shift is starting, see ya guys!" Sapphire hurried before that fussing would get any worse. "And we should tip tap, or whatever it was, too.." Throttle laughed before starting to head towards the staircase that led to the main entrances.

"Good luck.." Modo bumped his shoulder with his fist while grinning, getting the commander to smile and not at him. "Thanks.. Carbine, are you coming?" He said while turning to look at the black haired female who still was looking at the way where Niv and Stoker had gone already a while ago. "Carbine.. You have been talked to.." Mericy laughed while poking the general's shoulder from behind. "W- What?" She said but then screamed because Throttle had come back and lifted her over his shoulder, her head towards his back.

"Alright! But I can walk too!" She giggled, making the commander just tap her butt a few times while heading to the bike storage. "Just enjoy the view.." He grinned, getting her to blush badly. "Like you aren't doing the same.." She blushed, while knowing he was smirking and definitely enjoying the moment. "I'm not denying anything!" He laughed, while they disappeared to the staircase, their friends still laughing in the lounge area. "Well he's definitely going to do it.." Vinnie smirked while chuckling to Modo, who was smirking too. "If that's not a proposal with Biker Mice style, then I don't know what is.." He chuckled back, but then Jessica gasped.

"Is Throttle going to propose Carbine?! How lovely!!" She screamed while lifting her hands on her cheeks now too. "Shout even louder and they'll hear you!" Rimfire laughed while noticing his sister had her head in the clouds too. "Ugh.. Females.." He growled and rolled his eyes, getting the males to catch him under their arms to rub his head with their knuckles. "What are you talking about, Rimfire?" Modo chuckled, getting Rhea laugh while Mericy rolled her eyes and had her arms crossed. "Don't you have anyone in your mind or haven't your balls dropped down yet? Don't be scared about those hormones driving you over! You'll learn soon!" Vinnie teased, making the young male squirm himself free to run away from the males.

"There are many females to choose from! And we are responsible to make sure that we won't die out.." Vinnie smirked while swinging his tail. His thoughts were darker than he showed them, since his sorrow and missing for Harley had gotten much worse after seeing those couples having their best time together nowadays. He needed to do something, but what? There was nothing that got them closer to her, but he didn't want to give up. He just couldn't. It wasn't part of his nature, and he loved that brown furred female. Just where would have Mace taken her.. And what for? Since if he knew who she really was, he would have already contacted the royal family to get some ransom from her life. Was there a chance that he knew nothing about her? Or was everything already too late? No, it couldn't be..

Meanwhile in the bike storage, Throttle started his bike's engine while Carbine made sure her long black hair was completely under her helmet. Even if there was not a threat to burn her hair again, that one time had been enough for her and was now a pretty good reminder too.

"Ready to go?" Throttle asked while looking at her lovingly. He leaned against the handlebars while sighing deeply for the view. "Did that news about the baby get you to dream too?" She smiled while sitting behind him to wrap her hands around his waist when he wrapped his tail around her waist. They both were really happy about the news Stoker and Niv told them, which also got them to think about what Carbine had once opened up to Throttle outside the desert hideout.

"What? No.. I mean.. Ever since you told me about your dreams, I have thought about that more, but no.. I was just admiring your beauty!" He smiled while dashing out of the bike storage after starting the engine of his black Harley Davidson. "Where are we going then?" She asked while holding tight on him when he drove the most quiet roads towards the place that he only knew where they were going.

"It's a surprise.." He smiled, got her snort and rolled her eyes. "A Surprise? Why?" She asked, making him laugh. He didn't answer which got her snorting again since she wasn't the most patient when it came to waiting and surprises. She was too curious and too eager for things like that, she wanted to know everything right away. Throttle found it very cute about her, which also meant that he wanted to surprise her even more.

"Alright.. We are almost there. Just keep your eyes closed and walk forward" Throttle said when he held his hand on her eyes while leading her to the place where he had driven them. It didn't take much time from the underground evacuation center, but enough to get the general impatient. There was a couple of tens of meters to walk from the bike, which meant that she wasn't allowed to see anything yet before he told otherwise.

"C'mon! Are we there yet?!" She huffed and jumped a bit while being clearly too curious for what the surprise was about. "Almost.. Yes.. Now! You can open your eyes, babe" He smiled while stopping and lifting his hand away from her eyes which she opened immediately after that. She lifted her both hands on her mouth when she gasped for the view she would have never expected. "Do you like it?" He smiled, while she couldn't say even just one simple word. Her eyes widened when she looked at the surprise he had made for her and just for her.

"Carbine.. Babe.. Please say something.." He turned to look at her worriedly after a while of complete silence from her. He had brought her to the last place where Mars still had a piece from its old glory. The Garden of Hope. Which was part of the same forest where Stoker and Niv had met and Stoker had proposed to her. Throttle had gotten that advice from his mentor, which he had found to be a very special place. He had decorated it a bit with the golden lights Carbine had admired during the testing for the party. The Lights were on a few trees that were still left, and there was a big picnic blanket in front of the two intertwined trees, filled with Carbine's favorite food, sweets and flowers that he had managed to find from the mountains where he had spent two months to search for the special diamonds for her ring.

"It's.. This is.. I.. It's perfect!" She buried her face in her hands while crying when she felt her body starting to tremble. "Why are you crying then? Is everything alright? I'm starting to get really worried now, Carbine.." He got closer to her to wrap his arms around her waist to pull her closer, but just a bit before that, she jumped to his neck, her arms wrapped around it when she kissed him while crying.

"Why did you do this? And for me? This is like a paradise! Like Mars should be.." She cried in his arms after he kissed her back and buried his face in her hair that was against her neck. "So many birthdays, our anniversaries, and many other reasons to celebrate, we have spent on the field.. But now I want to concentrate on our relationship, on you.." He said while looking into her eyes, making them start to water again. "Oh Throttle.." She sniffed when he lifted his hand on her cheek, making her purr against it before he walked her to the blanket.

"Where did you get all of this? My favorites.." She barely could say anything at all when she just admired, while looking around the place. "Even these.." She touched the golden colored light wire around a tree while he took his boots off to step on the blanket. "Haven't I told you already, dear? I'm the male of many miracles" He smiled, which made her turn around to see him standing there under the branches of the intertwined trees that had grown much bigger from the time it had been when Stoker had met Niv for the first time. Even during the war, it hadn't stopped growing, like something bigger power was protecting it and the small part of the forest around it, which was more like a garden now. It really was a miracle that this part didn't get destroyed too like most of the whole planet.

"Yes.. You are, you definitely are Throttle!" She sighed while walking to him, to take her boots off too to sit down right next to him, her legs curled to her side when she leaned against him. "So.. You like this?" He lifted his other hand over her shoulders, getting her lean against his chest while looking at him lovingly. "Like? I love this, Throttle! And you.. I especially love you" She got up a bit to kiss him, making him smile and kiss her back before he opened a bottle of Pink Seed red wine to pour it into their glasses. The Pink Seed red wine is made from the same named species which is nowadays very rare on Mars. The Plant is also very important to a Martian species Squirrel Bat and the whole Martian ecosystem.

"You know how expensive this is? How did you get this in times like these.." She read the signs from the side of the bottle, getting him to chuckle while holding their glasses. "Well, it might be a good thing to be one of the heroes of Mars" He smirked, making her laugh and take the glass he handed to her. "Mmm.. I don't see it being a bad thing either.." She blushed while looking a bit down before turning to look at him again.

"How so?" He winked at her, getting her giggle and lay down on her back, her head on his lap after she had taken a sip from her wine and put the glass aside. "You are also my hero.." She sighed lovingly while lifting her other hand to pet his chest muscles gently. "Sounds a lot better, my love!" He smiled at her while petting her hair, then he took some grapes and started to feed them to her.

"You are spoiling me!" She laughed, making him laugh too before leaning down to kiss her while she was still laying on his lap. "And that is a bad thing because..?" He smirked in between their kisses when she wrapped her hands around his neck. "It isn't.." She winked at him but then heard a groan from him since his position wasn't the best for his back. "What about this then?" He said while laying down on his side and patted the spot next to him. "Much better!" She laid right next to him, their bodies against each other when she lifted her other thigh over his.

"Definitely.." He sighed while starting to rub her thigh that was on him. "What else did you get for this lovely picnic?" She turned to look at the blanket before pulling a plate full of different kinds of Martian fruits closer to them. "These are delicious.." She had her eyes closed for a while when he just continued feeding her her favorite fruits. "Not as delicious as you are" He smirked while moving his other hand closer to her lower stomach, getting her gasp and turning to look into his eyes.

"Throttle.." Her breath got a bit heavier before she had to take another sip from her wine. Then she noticed one sudden fruit on the plate which made her lift her other eyebrow up. "But.. You don't even like pearl peaches?" She asked, getting him to laugh and shake his head. "No! But I know you like them.." He smiled and got a chuckle as an answer when the black haired female rolled to her stomach to taste one of the sliced peaches.

"You sure you don't want to try?" She winked while placing one between her lips. "Maybe I could give it a try since your suggestion is too irresistible.." The Tan furred commander chuckled before moving closer to her to kiss her while they ate the piece of the fruit together. "How was it?" She was blushing pretty visibly while he licked his lips. Then he leaned to lick her lips too since she had some fruit juices mixed with their saliva running down towards her jaw. "Not as bad as I remembered.." He grinned, getting a slap to his chest from the female who laughed at his words.

"How dare you!" She laughed but then found herself rolling over to her back by the commander much bigger than her. "Dare I what?" He smirked while now being on all fours on her. She took his specs off a while before pulling him to lay on her so she could just kiss him as many times until they needed to take breath again. "And now you took my vision away.. How dare you" He laughed before feeling her lips against his.

"Dare I what?" She leant to whisper into his ear before he placed his other arm next to her head to lean to it while having his other hand on her side to pet it gently when they continued kissing each other. She kissed his forehead close to his eyes a couple of times before he moved to kiss her neck, which got her moaning a bit. Then she placed another piece of the pearl peach between her lips just before the commander was about to kiss her again.

"Not this fruit again.." He groaned which made her start giggling before he lifted her knees up while still laying on her back. "I thought you liked it!" She winked when he placed his specs back on him to make sure he saw what she was doing, and mostly to see her beauty. "Not a fan of it.." He rolled his eyes before feeling a gentle tapping on his lower stomach by the general's tail. "What are you tapping there?" He grinned while looking at the blushing general.

"Nothing.. Nothing special.." She smirked, getting the male's jaw drop down just before she sat up a bit to wrap her hands around his neck again to pull him into a passionate kiss once more. "Nothing special huh?" He whispered to her ear when he noticed her blushing for his bulge. "And we were supposed to have a romantic picnic here.. Right?" She started, making him laugh again. "Don't change the subject!" He said while sitting up too when she wanted to fix her position a bit.

"Well.. You are special to me.. Everything in you, Throttle" She looked into his eyes while they both drank a bit from their wine. "Carbine.. I.." He started, but then felt her index finger on his lips. "You don't need to say anything.. Just kiss me.." She smiled lovingly while leaning towards him, but then leant back when he shook his head. The Feeling on his lower stomach calmed down because it changed to a huge pack of butterflies since he got so nervous now.

"What? Why? Did I do or say something wrong?" She asked while looking at the male who looked down at the ground before he looked into her eyes, which she read from him acting pretty odd. "Is everything alright, Throttle?" She asked a bit worriedly when he didn't answer her. "No.. I.. Yes.. I mean yes.. But.." He mumbled, getting her on her knees when he leaned against his with her hands. "What is it?" She looked at him worriedly before he finally turned to look at her. But like every time before this, she could always read his expressions clearly, but now it was different. She wasn't sure what was going on inside of his mind or what he might be feeling at the moment.

"Carbine.. I.." He started while taking her hands in his before getting up and helping her to get up too. "Yes? You are making me really worried now, Throttle.." She said and he could easily see her words were true. He took a deep breath before turning to look straight into her eyes. Facing a huge amount of enemies had never got him scared, but this, this actually got and much more than anything else in his life before. She was the one he loved, and now he needed to tell her about his feelings properly.

"Carbine. You know I love you. I have said it many times before, but it feels like it isn't enough. I know you have said the same and I hope it is still true.." He said, getting her to lean her head a bit to the left since she was a bit confused about what he was talking about. Maybe he got sometimes scared while fighting against the enemies too, but it was only if he saw her getting hurt. He wasn't afraid of the enemies, but that she would get hurt and he.. And that he would lose her.. That was his worst fear.

"When we first met, we were just 16 and 15 years old.. About 13 years ago.. I saw right away from that moment in the outdoor training grounds that you were the female I wanted to share my life with. Your sassiness, your.. Everything in your nature.. Everything in you! I.. I couldn't get my eyes off you, neither my mind when you left there after I had lost our bet.. I had even forgotten to ask your name and believe me, I was scared of not seeing you ever again. Not getting to know you properly.. But when I saw you again in the forest camp and heard you joined our group, I couldn't be happier! Hearing your name was like a paradise for me as well as seeing you again" He said while looking into her eyes that watered a bit. He wiped her tears away before continuing.

"It felt like my heart jumped out of my chest when I saw you and Stoker in that coffee house.. I was ready to fight for you, but then you told me he was your uncle, not your boyfriend. And the moment when you kissed my cheek there. I still remember it felt like I would float! Every single time we kiss, I feel like that. But when we make love.. Gosh Carbine.. I can't even describe the feeling.. Even the word 'paradise' isn't enough to try to describe it. I love you so much! Everything about you! Small moments with you, bigger moments with you.. Fighting along your side, even if at the same time I get so scared that you would get hurt. But you aren't a Two Star General for nothing! You are so talented about whatever you just decide to do! And believe me.. When in Post 14 you told me about your dreams of having a baby with me. My heart skipped a few beats again" He felt himself crying too when she wiped his tears away now while crying too. They both were smiling but she just listened to his beautiful words that meant so much to her.

"I wish nothing more than to have a family with you. To spend the rest of my life with you! To be by your side. To help you get over your fears, like we have been doing all these years. To try to get over your fear of climbing. You have come so far with that and I'm incredibly proud of you! Carbine.." He said while taking something out of his vest's pocket. She lifted her hands on her mouth when she saw him opening the small box while kneeling down in front of her.

"I am already the happiest mouse on Mars when I can call myself your boyfriend. But would you make me even happier and marry me?" He asked while looking at her crying there. It didn't take much time when she leant down to wrap her arms around his neck while nodding. "Yes! YES! Throttle, yes!" She cried while they both felt their bodies trembling since he was crying too. He took his specs off to bury his face in her thick black hair when they just stayed there. She was on her knees now too while he was still on his one knee.

"My heart is about to jump out of my chest.." He sobbed against her hair, getting her giggle and turn to look at him when they leaned a bit away from each other. She pressed her forehead against his to nuzzle his nose to hers. "I feel exactly the same.." She cried while grabbing his hand to lift it to the left side of her chest. He did the same to her hand which got them to laugh and kiss each other lovingly.

"This is the reason why I was away for two months.." He said when he showed her the ring again which was inside the box he had got while getting the other things for that date too. "W- What? For this?" She wasn't sure if she heard him correct, making him nod while smiling at her. "Do you like it?" He said while she just looked at the ring, her jaw dropped down a bit. "I.. I love it! Where did you get it? Two months, what?" She turned to look at him, making him lean to nuzzle against her other cheek.

"I made it for you" He said, getting her eyes water again. "No you didn't.. What? R- Really?" She sobbed before wrapping her arms around his neck again. "None of those rings I saw in the jewelry stores were good enough for you.. I needed the perfect one for a female like you! You are the Goddess to me, Carbine" He kissed her neck twice before leaning against it a bit. Her body was trembling before she turned to look at the ring again. It was the most beautiful ring she had ever seen in her life, and it was hard to believe he had made it for real.

The Ring was made from silver and it had a huge aquamarine in the shape of heart on it, which around there were multiple smaller diamonds. And inside the ring there were both of their names carved along the amount of years they have known each other and how long they have been together before Throttle proposed to her.

"It's beautiful! I.. I have no words" She sighed deeply while leaning against his neck, which made him smile even wider before he turned to kiss her cheek when he took the ring out of the box. "Let's see if I was right about the diamond suiting you" He nuzzled her cheek, making her nod and lean a bit down and forward to him. He placed the ring on her left antenna, to the highest part of it before his jaw dropped down a bit.

"I can't believe it.." His eyes watered up again, making her smile lovingly at him. "What? That I actually said 'yes' or what?" She giggled before kissing him again while at the same time pushing him to sit on the blanket so she would sit on his lap, her both legs curled next to her on the same side. "And that you look so beautiful.. The Ring suits you perfect" He nuzzled against her cheek while wrapping his arms around her too.

"Like it's made just for me, right?" She grinned, getting him to chuckle and throw his head a bit backwards. She really was more than just perfect to him. "I can't believe one thing either.." She said while literally opening his vest that much she would get inside of it and right against his chest. "Mmh?" He enjoyed it more than her while gently petting her back. "I had no idea you would be that talented to make a ring, and especially this beautiful" She sighed deeply when she looked at him while leaning against him.

"I had some help though, but just advice how I would not burn my hands totally.." He said before showing her his hands that still had some wounds on them. "How I didn't notice those earlier?!" She gasped, getting him to shake his head. "They are healing alright, but anything for you babe. You are my weakness.." He kissed her neck, making her smile before she lifted his hands up to kiss his wounds which made his heart melt.

"As well as you are mine, but also my strength. I feel safe around you. I feel like I'm home when I'm with you, Throttle. You are my everything" She smiled, making him start to sob as well as to swallow his tears a bit since her words felt so much to him. "You are going to be a wonderful mother too, Carbine.. But before that" He started while smirking, getting her blush and leaning back against him. "Before what?" She moved her other hand back around his neck while moving the other one to gently pet his abs which got him tighten them a bit that he knew she liked him doing that. "We have weddings to plan and you to become my bride" He whispered to her ear, getting her sigh deeply and lovingly.

"Your ring first, honey!" She leaned against him more to kiss him lovingly, which got him to lay down on the blanket to get her on to him. "Yes.. I want to make sure everybody knows you are soon to be my wife!" He nuzzled his nose against her when she blushed and nodded. "I can't wait for that either! And that I will be expecting your babies!" She blushed when he smiled and petted her stomach lovingly after she had said that. They both waited for it to happen so much, but they just needed to wait a bit longer.

After kissing for once again, they got up so they could toast for them and their future and enjoy the rest of the picnic while admiring the ring the commander had made her during the couple of months being apart from each other. That time had felt so painful, especially for Carbine since she had known nothing about where he had gone and would he even be alright, but now they felt like nothing or no-one would get them separate ever again from each other.

But neither of them had noticed the note written in red on the reports Rimfire had done for Carbine, which Sapphire had brought to her after she had forgotten them in the lounge area a few months ago. And neither of them knew that someone had eavesdropped on Throttle talking to his bros about proposing to the black haired female. Would their future be as loving and perfect as they had been dreaming and planning to?
