51: Banishment

Stoker's pov:

"Una, go get General Stoker!" I heard someone saying when I had just walked from the vehicle storage where I had checked everything was alright there since there was also the main entrance to this hideout. The Voice probably belonged to servant Melissa, the next I saw Una running fast along the corridor straight towards me after noticing I was there.

"General Stoker, Lady Niv needs you! Everything isn't alright.." Servant Una said, making me nod at her. "Show me where she is!" I said, making her turn around immediately. When I saw Niv sitting on the floor while crying, I got very worried about her. "Niv!!" I shouted while running as fast as I could before I knelt down to wrap my hands tightly around her. "Thank you Una, Merissa. You can go now.." I said when she buried her face to my chest while crying. "Lady Niv.." Una started to say, making her just nod and wave them to go. "Yes.. Thank you.." She sobbed, making them sight and nod before walking away to continue unpacking with the other servants. I could see they were worried about her, which didn't help me at all to stop worrying.

"C'mon.. I was informed that our bedroom's ready, right after the Queen's" I said while trying to lift her up but no use. For a small sized female as she was, it was quite a surprise that when she got to that mood, no-one moved her at all, not even me. "Niv.." I said, making her turn to look away from me. "What's wrong?" I kneeled down again, making her shake her head.

"Don't even.. I clearly see something is wrong!" I said while trying to grab her hands but she just pulled them away. "Like you didn't know already!!" She hissed while turning to look at me the way surprisingly deathly which made me gulp before sighing deeply. "Let's talk about that privately.." I said while getting up again, that made her get up too but instead of following me, she just started to shout. I knew she had a hard time now. The Doctor had warned us that anything was possible and normal for the healing process and she needed to be given time to heal.

"Privately?! I woke up from a coma after 14 years and you didn't even bother to say anything about our daughter!! You know Spitfire means the world to me! Especially what happened to my sister, what about you lied to me too!" She shouted as loudly as she could, making the servants in the corridor stop right there before she glared at them which got them to continue much faster. I didn't see that happening since I was my back towards them, but I could hear that happening, and also tell it from her glare. "I know! That's why I didn't want to.." I said while turning to look away, but that only made her walk around me to look into my eyes. And for now, I didn't want to make eye contact at all. I just couldn't talk about Spitfire, not with her..

"Want what?! To bother me? To talk about our daughter?!" She growled while looking me into my eyes before I turned away again. "Don't turn your back to me when I'm talking to you!! I thought you were male enough, Stoker!" She shouted, making me turn to look at her while glaring. I felt a tear fill my eyes, not because her words hurt me, but mostly what I had done in my past. There was one thing I regretted the most.. And now she wanted to hear about it.. "Like you would understand what I have gone through.." I said, but soon regretted it, and it just made her even angrier. I didn't have any right to say that, but I just blurted it out.

"What?! I can't believe you actually said that!! I was in a coma for the Goddess' sake!" Niv shouted before turning her back to me to dash away. I had hurt her clearly. "Niv.. Sorry, I didn't mean to!" I gasped while running after her, making her only walk faster. "You know what? I'm starting to wish I had never even woken up!!" She turned around to shout at me, which made me freeze right there before she straight ran to our bedroom, slamming the double door closed and locking them. I just stood there for a while, thinking about her words and how I could ever tell her the truth.

"Niv.. Babe.. Please.. Let's talk this through.." I started to sob at the other side of the doors, while I knew she had probably sat down to lean against the double doors. I felt horrible, and for a moment it felt like someone was choking me. There was a huge piece in my throat, preventing me from saying anything while I felt my body starting to tremble. This feeling was very close to as bad as I had felt back then..

"I'm sorry!!" I gasped when the feeling in my throat calmed down only a bit, but it still felt like those words would get stuck there. I leaned against the double doors too but with my forehead and arms before I lifted them down. I was crying, which I didn't do too often. "Go away!" She cried, making me shake my head. "No.. I won't before we have talked.." I said while wiping my tears away, but couldn't stop crying. I could do anything to remove that day from my life, to make it not happen..

I wasn't expecting her to open the doors that soon when I was still leaning against them, so when she opened them, I was about to fall over. "Only if you tell me where Spitfire is.." She said while looking at me when I turned to look down. I saw in the corner of my eyes that she nodded me to enter the bedroom, which after she closed the doors again. "Talk.. Where is she evacuated? When will she come home?" She asked while crossing her arms while walking in front of our king sized bed. I wish her questions, her thoughts would be true. I would do anything that I would answer for those instead of telling her what has really happened.

Those questions I had been afraid of. I didn't want to answer her, to talk about this with her. Not at all. She would hate me, but I knew no-one hated me more about that than myself, not even her. "Niv.. I.. I don't.." I sobbed while trying to wipe my tears away. She was also still crying, but the tone in her voice seemed colder now. I have never heard her talking that cold to me before. It sounded like that when she was talking to one of the enemies..

"Don't mumble.. Answer me, Stoker.." She demanded while looking at me. I just shook my head while tears were rolling down my cheeks. I saw it made her eyes widen up and froze to her place right there. My body started to tremble while I was crying heavily again now. "She's not dead!!" My wife screamed the way I knew she was terrified. She collapsed to sit on the edge of our bed when I just slightly nodded while crying heavily. I just couldn't do more than that. I felt terrible.. We both felt that way, but she was in more shock than I was now, since she had just heard the news. But I still could remember seeing the moment very clearly, it had become one of my worst nightmares along with that desert episode where my brothers had died along with our friends and my wife had gone into a coma.

"No!! I don't believe you!! Spitfire is not dead! Where is she?! You need to tell me! Now Stoker!!" She screamed while running to me to grab me by my military vest. The Badges fell on the floor when I collapsed on my knees, she was still pulling me a bit up by the vest. "Speak to me!! Stoker! STOKER!!" She screamed while starting to cry heavily before collapsing on my lap to wrap her arms around my neck. All I could do was just cry against her while wrapping my arms around her body. Our mechanical tails were separate from each other. I saw her being still mad at me, but I couldn't do it either because I knew I had failed as a husband and as a father.

We cried for a long moment, and a lot. But then I was about to say something, without managing to let out even one word. I didn't know if I should apologize or what I should say. I felt so horrible, I couldn't even describe it. I had promised her in our wedding vows to protect her from everything needed, and promised to be a good father for our future children as well as I had promised many other things too, but I had failed both the most important things from them all. I knew I didn't deserve her. What had she even seen me in the first place? I might have been shown strong and unbeatable mostly, but when it came to her, I just couldn't hide my true feelings at all. She always notices immediately when something's wrong with me. I literally couldn't hide anything from her.

"W- When.." She asked while closing her eyes after she had turned to look at me when I was about to say something even if I didn't know what. I knew she didn't buy my words, I wouldn't either, but I was there when it happened. I saw it with my own eyes. And I believed from ever since that it had only been just a horrible nightmare. It actually was but at the same time it was true. It had really happened.

"I didn't show you anything when you woke up.. To protect you.." I managed to blurt out, making her grab my vest again to pull my forehead closer to hers. "What?! I don't need protection, I need the truth!! When did it happen?! How did she die?!" Niv growled when I turned to look away from her again. I just couldn't face her, the most beautiful female in the world, now. Also it made more tears start to roll down on my cheeks while she started to cry more too.

"I need to know the truth, Stoker!! I want to know how and when our daughter died!" She cried while I felt her body was about to start trembling too but she seemed to try to hold it back. "When the Plutarkian Armada arrived.. They stole the Red Tower.. The Empire's state building.." I started, making her lose her grip a bit. "You showed me that.. It was a terrible attack, but what has that to do with our Spitfire?" She asked, making me turn to look into her green eyes. Those green eyes that I loved, but now honestly I was afraid of. I wasn't afraid of her but that, I knew I was hurting her. I never wanted to hurt her in my life, but now I had and with the worst way possible.

"Spitfire was inside of the tower when they transported it to Plutark.." I said, making her eyes widen up. Inside my head I saw the moment happening again. The Huge beam came out of the Plutarkian Armada and hit the Red Tower, making it transport to their own planet, Niv's and my daughter inside of it.. "No.. But that doesn't mean.. That doesn't mean she's gone!!" She let me go while getting up fast to walk a bit further from me. "Niv!! You know it's impossible to survive from that! She was just 14 years old!" I got up too when she had her back facing me, but it seemed like my words made her turn around to look at me again.

"Don't you dare to talk like she's dead!! She's not! I don't believe that!!" She shouted, making me shake my head. "Why was she even there then?!" She continued, making me turn around. That was it. That I could never tell her, my own wife. "Stoker!!" Niv growled while tears ran along her cheeks again before she whipped them away quickly. "She wouldn't survive alone in the enemy's territory.. You know that Niv.." I said, making her shake her head.

"She's our daughter!! She can survive from anything! Why was she there then?!" She asked again, making me sigh deeply. Then we both heard someone knocking on the door before it opened. "Mother.." Niv said when we saw the Queen's advisor opening the door for her, after she had demanded it. "Your arguing can be hard all over the hideout.. What is it?" The Queen asked while walking inside our bedroom, making Niv cross her arms after wiping her tears away again. I wanted to turn my back but couldn't. I could never be disrespectful to the Queen, even if she would sentence me to death if she finds out what I had done.

"Like you didn't hear about it already.." Niv turned my back to her mother, making her sigh deeply. "Stoker.. Are you willing to tell me?" The Queen asked kindly while turning to me. I gulped slightly while trying to get even one clear thought to my mind since it was pretty much just a huge mess right now. Very very painful mess. "My apologies, but if Niv doesn't want to tell, then I respect her will.." I said, making Niv turn to look at me when I wiped my tears away too. Even if I should have been truthful to the Queen, I had to be more loyal to my wife, I knew she would understand it. "I see.. My apologies for whatever it is.. But the dinner is ready" The Queen said before turning around to leave. But for a moment I thought Niv was about to refuse it, she actually ran to her mother's arms, which made me actually sigh in relief.

"Mom!" She gasped, making the Queen turn back before she barely managed to open her arms when the princess ran to hug her tightly. "Oh my dear Niv.." The Queen sighed deeply when Niv started crying against her. I saw her body trembling which made me turn to look down a bit to give them a bit of privacy, but still not turning away from her Highness who also was my mother-in-law. "Come.. Both of you.. Food will help you think more clearly and give you strength.. Spitfire will be found.." She said, making Niv lift her head to look at her mother. I was actually a bit surprised too, but I could tell that her Majesty looked more miserable than earlier, but she still tried to smile at her daughter while nodding. Niv was clearly swallowing her tears when she nodded back at her. I knew how important her mother was to her. They hadn't always had the easiest, warmest or safest path together, but her Majesty was always there for her, and the feeling was mutual.

"This way, your Majesty, Princess and General" The Royal Advisor said while showing us the way to the new dining room that had got ready at the same time as the bedrooms. We all had already been there for one night, meaning that yesterday the servants were hurrying to get the kitchen, the dining room and the bedrooms ready before anything else that would get to be ready today. And even if I had already had many years to try to get used to all this royal stuff and traditions, it still was quite different for me because where I come from, everything was quite different, or not just quite either.

"But we haven't changed our clothes for dinner.." Niv sobbed, making her Majesty hug her again. "Like you have ever cared about what you look like in the palace. Or others' opinions.. I'm so happy to have you back here, my daughter.." She cried too, making Niv hug her tightly while crying too. Then her Majesty handed her hand to me, as a sign to join the hug which I did even if it had actually come as a surprise. After that we ended up sitting around a long table, Her Highness first of course and in the head of it, and Niv and I somewhere in the middle opposite from each other.

"Pulled two headed chicken with the Princess' favorite, smashed chili-potatoes and red berry wild-onion sauce" The Chef said while the waiters brought our dinner right in front of us. "You remembered?" Niv smiled weakly, making him nod formally. "Of course, Lady Niv" The Chef smiled before bowing to all of us to start eating. "Enjoy!" He said before leaving with a couple of waiters, leaving two there to serve us anything we needed more. To be honest, this actually felt weird especially during times like this when I knew what the others were going through.

I felt more homelike around the table where there was barely food for all but there were the Freedom Fighters around, instead of all this glory and richness. Of course not a bad way to the Queen, but I was born and raised differently. This was more Niv's and her family's lifestyle, which I had had a very hard time getting used to. And during the time when Niv had been in a coma, I had only a few times visited her family when they had invited me over, but mostly I had decided to stay at my own house before it got destroyed and I had literally moved to the bases. The Queen had sent me a message through her Royal messenger, to ask me to move in with them since I was part of the family, but I had politely explained that I was badly needed there, which she luckily understood too. It was back then when Niv was about to move into my house with our baby, but then the mission had ruined everything.

"Everything alright, General Stoker? Is there something wrong with your food?" One of the waiters said, making me get back from my thoughts to notice that they all had noticed I had barely even touched my food. "No! Everything's fine, thank you" I nodded before continuing to eat. "Delicious.." I tried to smile, making the waiter smile and nod before filling my glass with the finest champagne they had, meaning that just one bottle of it cost actually more than my three level house which I still had a few years ago. Then I felt someone looking at me, which I saw from the corner of my eye being my mother-in-law. I nodded to her before lifting my glass into the air, making her and Niv lift theirs too before we tasted the champagne and agreed it was very good.

I at least tried to eat something, especially when I knew some out there had barely anything to eat, meaning that I needed to get all the strength I could to continue fighting so everyone would have more than enough food to eat. This was a privilege nowadays, as well as having water too, which didn't go unnoticed by me that along with the champagne, there was served water too. That only meant that of course the Royal family were part of those who had bought some water to them secretly. They were the richest family on Mars but I never could have guessed they would actually do anything like this. I wondered if Niv knew about that at all..

In the late evening, almost right after the long and many meals dinner, I went to shower which I had never thought would feel that good. It felt like a whole desert got washed off my fur and by that I realized how much I had missed water. How much the whole planet missed and how badly Mars needed it. Not just the Martian mouse population, but the other creatures and nature too. Something needed to be done for that to get the water back so the planet would be really saved, but right after I had got out of the shower and got boxers on me, I had fallen asleep immediately when I had laid on the bed and closed my eyes.

Niv would have gone to the shower before me, but she told me that she wanted to have a word with her mother alone after the dinner, so I'd go to the shower first. I didn't hear at all when she had come back, but in asleep, I had a rather weird dream. Which a bit later I noticed not being a dream at all!

I had fallen asleep while laying on my left side, my face facing the bed and my back towards the doorways, like males were supposed to sleep closer to the doorway to protect the females. I was having a dream about the day when Niv had told me she was expecting our first child. That had been a wonderful day, or actually after that morning when she had just thrown up many times, but when she had found out the news.. Gosh that happiness we felt!

"We need to call the doctor, Niv! To find out everything is fine!" I had started to fuss around while she just sat on the couch in my living room since she had been there overnight, the first from the plan to be there for a few days. "Relax 'ker! I am pregnant, not sick.." She smiled while lifting her hands to her stomach which hadn't grown yet at all. Of course it wasn't but I couldn't wait for it to happen. "I know, sorry! But this is all new to me.." I said while bringing her a glass of juice before I sat next to her. She drank it at first gulp to get rid of the taste of puke.

"Like this wouldn't be new to me too? You are the one from us who takes care of four kids already!" She smirked at me, before I lifted my other hand gently to her stomach while lifting my other hand over her shoulders. That made her blush before she cuddled against me, making me sigh deeply. "You know they ain't mine.. Adira takes care of the boys too, and one of them is hers. Carbine's my niece.." I smiled when I felt her head against my chest. "I know.. But maybe it's a good thing they are now at her place.. And Carbine is at the longer weekend camp.." She sighed while turning to look at me, to wrap her arms around my neck. I gently petted her stomach before she leaned forward to kiss me deeply. "Mmm.. These hormones I like, even if you still taste a bit of puke.." I twitched my nose, making her punch my biceps a bit when she laughed.

"Well excuse me! Try to get used to this, because we are going to have a baby!" She smirked, making me smirk too. "That sounds so perfect.. I won't let anyone ruin this or take this away from us.." I said, making her sigh deeply before the view changed. Like there was a time skip or something, because I saw myself standing on the doorway of the orphanage now. Gosh I hated that day! But why am I seeing that now? Why did that wonderful dream turn into a nightmare? This didn't seem like a normal way for a dream to turn into a nightmare, for some reason I had a strong feeling about it.

"I can't take care of her.. No matter how hard I try.. After her mother went into a coma.. I.." I said to the mistress of the orphanage at the doorway while holding one year old Spitfire in my arms. I started to cry heavily while turning to look away from my daughter. I knew she must have sensed my feelings too since she started to cry too. Like she sensed that something bad was about to happen, which made me feel even more worse. I didn't want to do this but I had no other choices. This at least would keep her alive.. I wanted to save her..

Then I looked down at the ground where her movable grip was along with a bag I had backed the previous day while heavily crying too. I couldn't sleep at all for a week when I was just thinking about this. And every night I had just sat there next to her bed, looking at my daughter sleeping calmly. For a few times she had woken up, but I had been there to calm her down or to feed her. She had had everything alright, even after her mother falling to a coma, she hadn't been the same either, nor was I.

"We understand that Colonel Stoker.. We'll take good care of her for you.." Mistress said before lifting her hands towards our daughter. I was crying when I handed my daughter to her. I couldn't say anything, but to just leave. Leave my daughter at the orphanage, while crying heavily. But then I realized what was really happening. I closed my mind while waking up, and I noticed Niv being inside my mind. She had got there through our antennas, and broke one of the worst and most important laws of Mars. "Niv.. What in the name of Goddess are you doing in my mind?!" I said, making her gasp and lift her head away from me to break the connection. I noticed I was now laying on my right side, when she took a few steps backwards while I sat up on the bed.

"You searched my mind without my permission?!" I said while looking at her, making her start to sob before nodding. "How could you?!" I growled while getting up from the bed. Niv lifted her hand up to me to not get any closer to her. I knew she could see I was so mad and disappointed for a very good reason. Even if she wanted to know the truth, that was the wrong way to do it. "You gave our daughter away!" She shouted, making me drop his ears and turn to look away. "I had no other choice.." I said quietly, but she still could hear it.

"No other choice?! YOU GAVE OUR DAUGHTER AWAY!!" My wife yelled at me, making tears fill my eyes again. "I had no other choices!! I had to raise the Biker Mice and Carbine too!" I growled, making her even angrier. "So you saw our daughter as less important than them?! If you had such a hard time, why didn't you give them away?! Spitfire's our daughter!!" She demanded the answer from me, which made me realize that she had probably continued her search if I hadn't noticed what was going on that quickly. But her words hurt me really. How could she ever say anything like that, no matter how devastated she was?!

"They didn't have anyone else, you know that! Adira couldn't have taken care of the boys and Mericy alone either!" I said while trying to prevent myself from shouting which was very difficult now, but also the level of tiredness helped a bit for that, even if it was soon over and I was fully awake. "What about our daughter?! My parents would have helped you!" She shouted at me, making me turn to look away for like how many times already during the day. "I told you wouldn't understand.." I said again, making her growl loudly. "I was in a coma!!" She shouted, making me turn to look at her with a glare. "You surely were! You left me alone with five children! My brothers passed away along with our friends! Your parents' had a 14 years old Harley to take care of! You know exactly why they couldn't have taken Spitfire to them!!" I shouted, while she was crying again as well her body was trembling. Even if I had no right to blame her and I wasn't, it would help more than a bit if she tried to see things from my point of view. With her own eyes, not by searching my mind without my permission.

"Don't make this to be my fault!! It was her decision! They would have always helped you with their own granddaughter!!" She cried, making me throw my hands into the air as a sign of frustration. "If I don't understand, then talk to me and make me understand!! But I will never understand why you gave our daughter away!!" Niv shouted while walking to her wardrobe. I just stood there, trying to think what to say to her next, but then she got back from there, fully prepared for anything since she had got herself armored too. Instead of her all-time on Mohawk, she had done a bun on top her head before she ran out of our bedroom.

"Niv! Where are you going?!" I dashed after her, making her just continue walking faster. "To save our daughter!!" She shouted, making me stop for a moment before running after her again. "What, how.. Niv you couldn't be serious?!" I thought to myself while sighing deeply. "But she would have never survived alone in Plutark!! How would you even get there?! And back here alive?!" I shouted, making her turn around to growl at me.

"At least I'm trying to get her back!! I love our daughter even if you don't!" She said, making me growl back at her. "Don't say that!! You don't know how bad it felt to make that decision!" I said when she continued walking fast along the corridor, me following a couple of meters behind her while having only boxers on. "Seemed too easy since you ended up doing it!!" She growled, leaving me no other choices to get her to at least try to understand why I had made that decision.

"They were after her!" He blurted out, making me turn around after she froze right in her place. "No.." She gulped, making me nod before I was about to grab her hands, but she pulled them away. "Show me.." She said, making me shake his head. "No.. You saw enough.. Even too much to be honest.. You searched my brain without my permission, Niv" I said while being clearly hurt. Not meaning that she wouldn't be either, but what she did had been too much. "You didn't tell me the truth.." She said coldly while looking into my eyes. I was so sad but also very disappointed in her. I didn't know how I would forgive her about this, but I had to try. She was my wife, just woken from a coma, and many horrible things had happened during that 14 years.

"Let's get back to bed.. Let's talk this through tomorrow.." I said, making her look at me deathly. "No.." She said, while stepping away from me. "Niv.." I took a step towards her but she lifted her mechanical tail against my chest to prevent me from doing that. "I don't want to see you.. Ever again.." She said, making my eyes widen up a bit. "Niv, what are you saying?" I thought to myself while trying to process what she had just said.

"What?" I said, making her walk to an alarm button on the wall. It was there for a possible enemy or other needs, for example if someone had got badly sick, meaning if something got worse in the Queen's health. "Leave.. You are not welcomed here anymore, Stoker.. I accuse you for betraying our vows.. Leave before I'll make the guards go after you.." Niv said while crying while she lifted her hand on the button. I just couldn't believe that to be real at all. "Leave!! Get out of sight, Stoker!!" She screamed, making me gulp before nodding. I had no other choices. She was devastated, but I would be less help behind the bars. Mine words against her, would mean clear loss, since she was the princess whose brains wouldn't be searched that easily to find out the truth.

She gave me only two minutes to grab my stuff from our bedroom before I ran straight to the vehicle storage where I finished dressing up before leaving the hideout by my bike, making sure also that I wouldn't expose the hideout to anyone. Easier said than done but I wasn't the Golden Star General for nothing.

I left the hideout very carefully to be sure no-one saw me at all. I drove through a secret tunnel which led to the desert. There I just continued driving for an hour without actually even thinking where I should go or what to even think. Everything felt so blank in my mind right now. I wanted to cry but what that would help in a situation like this. My wife had just banished me and I needed to find a place far away from here where I couldn't be found. Then one place came into my mind, but soon I heard someone talking with the worst timing possible. "Who even was out this late anymore and here in the desert? Of course those three mamma jammas.." I thought to myself when the Biker Mice drove next to me.

Author's pov:

"Hey Stoke, what are you doing here this late?" Throttle asked, making all of them stop driving right there. Stoker leaned a bit backwards while crossing his arms, even if he cared about this certain trio, he didn't want to talk even to them right now. "Same question for you three? I hope you are not breaking the Queen's orders and are searching for Harley.." The Golden Star General lifted up his eyebrow while looking at the trio, who gulped before turning to look at each other.

"Knew it.." He rolled his eyes while chuckling. "Don't you seriously assume we let the guard just waste the time and find nothing?" Vinnie said while looking at their mentor who smirked slightly. "No.. That's why I'm going to look this through my fingers.. You are my Freedom Fighters and I allow you to search for Harley" Stoker said, making their eyes widen up a bit before Modo talked. "Are you seriously stepping on Her Highness' feet?" He said, making the general shake his head.

"No.. But I know this will stay just between us.. Like that you didn't see me here tonight.." Stoker said while checking his ponytail was alright, which got Vinnie's eyes narrow. "So.. You were about to get some from her but failed at something and she kicked you out?" He chuckled, but then got a slap to the back of his helmet from both of his bros, making him groan and glare at them. "Let's just say.. Sort of.. But that's not your business at all now. Less you know the better.." He said, making the trio turn to look at each other again.

"Right.. But can we at least know where are you going or when are you coming back?" Throttle asked, making him shake his head. "Not sure yet about the first, but for the second, it'll take some time.. I don't have a more specific answer for you, but is everything alright over there?" Stoker nodded towards the way the Biker Mice had driven before spotting him. They all just nodded, before Throttle talked again, this time for his bros.

"Is it okay if you start to head back already and I'll have a word with Stoker?" He asked, making the males sigh while thinking. Vinnie clearly didn't want to get back yet, but Modo nodded to the tan furred commander. "I want to check one place first, but alright.. Only this time.." Vinnie said, making Throttle nod at him. "We'll find her.." He continued while lifting his other hand to the white furred male's shoulder to pat it a couple of times. Vinnie just looked down before nodding at his bro. "I know.. Get back safe and before Carbine wakes up" He said, making Throttle chuckle and nod.

"I will.. Thanks.." He said before they waved goodbyes and two of them started to drive back to the evacuation center under the ground but by a detour. They had almost driven all the way to the Brimstone and the nearest desert, but Vinnie still wanted to check the place once more where Mace had kidnapped Harley. Even if there was nothing about them, the whole place had been searched already so many times they couldn't even count anymore.

"So what did you want to talk about, Throttle?" Stoker asked after they didn't see the lights of the Vinnie's and Modo's bikes anymore. "About the truth.. Why are you here? You were supposed to protect them and help Niv to get back to this decade.." Throttle said, making him sight deeply. "Well.. I know I can trust you.." The Brown furred general sighed, making him nod while still looking at him. "Yes, always. Like I can count on you, Stoke.." He said, but then his eyes widened when he heard his words.

"Niv actually banished me.." He said, making Throttle almost choke on his saliva and fell over from his bike. "What?! Why?" He asked, making Stoker sigh again. "Let's drive on the way.. I have one place in my mind where I could stay without getting found.. Even if I'm quite sure she won't send anyone after me.." He said, making the tan furred male even more confused while following him. The Younger male just followed his mentor when they drove all the way Stoker only knew where they were going. They drove a few hundreds of kilometers during the time the general explained some of what had happened between him and Niv, but leaving everything that included their daughter out of it, meaning.. Almost everything..

A Couple of hours later in the small hours

"So.. She just.. Snapped something you hid from her to protect her and her fragile mind?" Throttle said when they had driven all the way the path that led to the mountains that were far far away from the cities, especially Brimstone. "Yeah.." Stoker sighed while pulling over to a cliff where Throttle drove next to him. "Alright..? But why did we stop here? Why did we even come to the mountains?" He said while parking his bike too after seeing his mentor getting up and taking his helmet off to place it on his bike.

"I came.. You just followed me.. Meaning that you have something else to talk about too than just listen to my nonsense.." He said while walking towards the ground wall where he lifted up a hidden panel to write down a number code. "You have been here earlier too?" Throttle said while following him, but then he saw Stoker's bike driving inside the cave when a door opened at the wall. "Get your bike inside too.." The General just said, making Throttle whistle to command the bike to follow the other one to their new parking lots.

"So that's 'yes'?" Throttle said while walking inside the cave too. "You didn't answer me either.." Stoker chuckled, making the commander roll his eyes and nod. "Yeah.. But your situation seems to be more important than mine.." He sighed while looking around the cave. "From what I have got to know about you during these years, that sighing means you have something on your heart.. So spit it out, Throttle.." He said while sitting on a couch that was inside the cave. It was another base like a cave, but he had decorated it to be nicer and for his own personal needs, if there was a time he would need a hideout, like now.

"I do have a problem.. But.. I don't want to bother you.." He said while still standing there, making his mentor just chuckle and pat the seat next to him. "You already did when you started to follow me.. But believe me, that's far away from bothering!" He smiled, making Throttle smile and walk to sit next to him. "Well.. You know I love Carbine.." He started, making Stoker close his eyes for a moment just to listen to him while leaning against the backrest.

"Yes and quite a lot I see.." He smiled while having his eyes closed. He hadn't slept much either but for some certain reasons he wasn't actually even tired right now. His thoughts kept him awake, as well as the commander now. "A lot! I love her a lot.. More than anything" He sighed and his mentor could easily hear him being in love by his voice and that sigh.

"Why are you telling this to me instead of her?" Stoker asked even if he had a hunch where this would go. "I need your help.." Throttle turned to look at him when he opened his eyes to look at the tan furred male. "With what?" He crossed his arms, but when he heard the answer, he smirked. "I want to propose to her.." Throttle said while having his ears down. "But that's just wonderful! I'm proud of you.. And honestly I had to say, finally!" He chuckled, making Throttle chuckle too and nod to him.

"Yeah.. I'm still waiting for the perfect moment but I need your help.. I mean with the ring.. I.." Throttle started but then sighed while turning to look down. "Nothing I have seen is good enough for her! When I met her the first time, I saw her to be the Goddess herself, and I still think that way! There's no ring on the stores that would be good enough.. Especially when there ain't many stores have gotten back yet.. But I can't wait for the rebuilding and that, maybe the stores will come back!" He said, making Stoker rub his jaw while thinking about something.

"Why don't you make the ring by yourself, then?" He suggested, making Throttle's eyes narrow behind the specs the general had given to him after he had lost his sight. "Me? Well.. I know you know me enough that I'm only good at fighting and fixing bikes.. I didn't mean by that there ain't a perfect ring in the stores that a curved piece of engine would be better at all! She needs something special!" He said, only getting the general to chuckle and nod.

"I do know you enough.. And I know you can make one by yourself.." He said before lifting his hand to the male's shoulder. "I'm gonna help you with that.. Trust me. She'll get the ring you think would be perfect for her" He smirked, making Throttle smile and nod. "How?" He asked when they got up from the couch. He saw Stoker walking to another room that seemed to be a storage for whatever he even had in there since the place looked like no-one had been there awhile.

"Starting with the diamonds.. Are you ready to go right in the morning? It's just a couple of hours to go but sleep would be fine and we see the diamonds better in daylight" Stoker said while throwing a pickaxe to him which he caught from the air. "Yea! How long will this take?" He asked but heard just a chuckle from his mentor while looking at his back since he walked to prepare a mattress for him so Throttle could sleep on the couch. "Depending on you! I spent three months digging the diamonds for Niv's ring! And she's the princess!" He smirked, making Throttle chuckle while shaking his head.

"Alright.. I'm ready.. Anything for my lady!" He smiled while walking to his bike. "Na-a! No bikes!" Stoker said while laying down on the mattress. "I should have just messaged my bros to figure out some explanation for her.. But.. Maybe they'll do alright there!" He said while walking to the couch. "I should sleep on the mattress.. You'll destroy your back there" The Commander said while sitting on the edge.

"They will.. They have at least Carbine there to keep everything and everyone in their places. Besides, you need your back more than me.. I'm already married and my honeymoon is over" Stoker smirked, making Throttle chuckle again. "Yeah.. I'm not jealous of that actually.. I love her but it was only a good thing for us that we got to different groups.. Meaning that when I joined the Freedom Fighters" He said before laying on the couch while smirking. "Honeymoon over.. Right right.. Have you lost your touch or something?" He said, making the general chuckle.

"Nah! But I won't go any younger from this.. You need your strength more than me" He winked when they looked at each other, making Throttle smirk while rolling his eyes. "Sure, sure.. Every other night I'll sleep there, alright?" He said, making the general sigh and nod. "Too bad all three of you turned as stubborn as me.." His words made the commander just laugh. "I thought we were worse!" Throttle said, making both of them laugh.

"You said it, Throttle.." Stoker said, getting them to laugh again before they both fell asleep in the cave. Mostly Stoker's thoughts were still processing what had happened during the evening and the night, but after all he fell asleep, neither slept too well, meaning that he woke up before Throttle. "Get up! The Diamonds might wait but your female won't!" He said while kicking the side of the couch before walking to open the doorway, letting all the light inside the cave.

"Ugh.. No.. She'll wait.." Throttle turned to his other side, trying to avoid the light. "GET UP AT ONCE, THROTTLE!!" Stoker shouted, making the male fall off the couch when he gasped. "Alright, alright.. You two are truly related.." He groaned while rubbing his ears. "I raised her.." Stoker grinned while patting roughly the commander's back, getting him to glare at his mentor. "Makes sense.." Throttle said when they walked outside with the supplies to get ready to start climbing.

After a while of climbing, Stoker found one spot he had been digging once to try to find some perfect diamonds for the princess. "There's a good spot over there.. But take all the time you need. You will get the feeling when you see the right diamonds. Don't hesitate" Stoker advised while pointing at the cliff higher from them. "Alright.. Let's see what we'll find from there first" Throttle said while his thoughts were on his female. He was worried a bit how she would have reacted when she woke up and found out he hadn't come back and neither his bros knew where he was, but he knew they would do fine there. Not yet they heard any shouting coming from the direction where the Brimstone was, which wouldn't be a surprise either when it came to her temperament.

"I don't think Carbine would like pink that much.. But they are quite pretty.." Throttle said while walking past a spot where there were plenty of diamonds already on the wall of the mountain there at the cliff. "Pink?" Stoker's eyes narrowed when he climbed there a bit later than him. "Yeah! I didn't even need to dig them.. They are like.. Just hanging here.." He said while already continuing forward. "That's weird.. Diamonds always need to be dug.." Stoker said while kneeling down to look at the diamonds. When the daylight hit them, they just sparkled nicely and looked like regular diamonds, even if their color was rather weird if asked by Stoker. He had never seen anything like those before.

"Let's continue! The First one ain't ever perfect!" Throttle shouted while already being gone from the general's sight, making him just chuckle and shake his head. "Speaking of my banishment.." He thought while smirking when they continued climbing much higher. And even if they didn't have any food or anything to drink at all there, they were doing fine, but would get down to the cave when the Sun was at its highest so they wouldn't get heatstroke. That was the least thing they needed there, alone up in the mountains with no connections to the others.

Meanwhile in the evacuation center, Carbine was running back and forth, trying to find the commander. "What do you mean you don't know where he would be?! You are his bros!" She hissed while holding both Vinnie and Modo in their places by their ears. When Vinnie couldn't answer anything else, just whined about his ears, Modo had to do the talking even if his ear hurt pretty much too. "We don't know, Carbine ma'am! Throttle told us to come back earlier. He said he wanted to talk with the Golden Star General.." Modo explained while his eye filled with tears, then for their relief, the female let them go.

"With my uncle?! But he's with.. Now there's someone pulling my tail.." She gasped before growling and rubbing her jaw while the males whined and rubbed their ears, trying to get the pain go away. "We don't know anything more than that! I promise you that, General.. Geez my ear.." Vinnie growled, making the female general glare at him while crossing her arms. "What you three were even doing there that late?" She asked, making the males gulp while turning to look at each other. "Throttle didn't tell me anything.. Why?" She thought, before seeing them nodding and sighing. "I asked them to join me to help with the search.." Vinnie said, making her drop down her ears.

"I see.. But I'm still going to find out what my uncle was doing there that late. You two try to find out where Throttle is.." She said, making them nod. "I mean now!" She raised her voice, making the males almost run to each other when they dashed away, straight to the vehicle storage. The General just sighed deeply while gently hugging herself, then she tried to think what would be going on, and how she would contact her uncle. She knew he was with the royals, but it just made contacting much more difficult. It wasn't just a call and "hey, what were you doing out last night" since it would risk the Queen's safety. She needed to think of a better plan, or even a plan..

Timeskip: In the evening on the mountains

Stoker's pov:

We found nothing on the first day of searching for diamonds. Those pink ones had been the only ones, and I still thought there was something weird about them. But when we had come back the same path, they were gone, or at least we didn't see them in the dark anymore since it was even a miracle we had found the path again. Right away when we came back, Throttle had fallen asleep immediately on the mattress while it was my turn to sleep on the couch for tonight.

"I'm proud of you, Throttle.. You'll make a great husband for her" I sighed while looking at the sleeping commander who laid there on his stomach while sleeping peacefully next to the pickaxe he had just dropped down before falling asleep. It didn't take long for me either to fall asleep on the couch, but I didn't manage to sleep for a long time when we both woke up since some kind of light came from outside.

"Stoke.. You forgot to close the doorway.." Throttle mumbled while turning to his other side. He even took his specs off to not see anything. "Get up.. That light is not normal.." I said while getting up to walk towards the entrance. "W- What? Did your wife send someone after you after all?" Throttle mumbled while placing the specs back on his nose while getting up. "Nah.. Since when have they had pink lights? That doesn't come from the full moon of Phobos either.." I said while standing right next to the wall, my back against it. I prepared my gun before stepping outside.

"Doesn't seem like Plutarkians either.." Throttle said while walking outside, he was clearly still sleepy since he didn't even grab his gun with him. "Since when have you been about to shoot some stones?" He asked after walking outside to me. We both saw the pink light coming from the upper cliff where we had seen the diamonds for the first time before they were gone when we had come back. "Oh shut up.." I glared while putting my gun away before we started to climb there again. I wrapped my mechanical tail around him just in case to prevent him from falling since he wasn't at his clearest yet.

But when we got up there, our eyes widened and jaws dropped to the ground. We saw something which was so incredible it couldn't even be described properly. The Both moons lights hit the pink diamonds, making them shine brightly pink, but that wasn't the only amazing thing there. The Ground under them had healed and there were a few flowers about to bloom behind them where the rays of light hit.

"Do you see what I'm seeing or am I still asleep?" Throttle asked, making me chuckle while taking a step forward to the diamonds, making sure I didn't step between them and the lights of the both moons. "I don't know about you but I'm fully awake.. I think.." I said while squatting down to look at the diamonds again. How would they be there again since they weren't when we passed them for the second time?

"Ha ha.. So funny.. But hey Stoke, check this.. The Ground is damp!" Throttle said while kneeling down next to me. We both touched the ground where there was fresh grass again. "Do you know what this means, Throttle?!" I smirked while looking at him. He nodded and smiled brightly while looking around. "Mars would have some hope to heal after all!" He said, making me nod, but when he cracked a small piece of those diamonds from the ground. The Light disappeared from that exact piece, making it turn dark and almost invisible.

"What did you just do?" I asked while looking at him holding nothing there. "It's still in my hand.. Look!" He said before hanging the diamond to me. "Oh wow.. That explains why we didn't see them when we got back" I said before I placed the piece back to the others, but it didn't start glowing again when the lights hit it. It just stayed dark and barely seen.

"You placed it in the wrong place.. I took it from here" Throttle said while moving the piece after barely even finding it anymore. But that didn't help either. It didn't glow again. "How could we save Mars with these if they lose their power after moving them?" He asked, making me start to think. "Yeah.. And we can't have both moon lights hitting them all the time. Nights like this are quite rare actually.." I sighed while rubbing my jaw. "It's also not possible that diamonds like this can be found all over the planet.. Otherwise nature would have come back already.." Throttle said while getting up from the ground. His knee was damp from the ground while I touched the damp ground again to be sure about it.

"I'll take this with us and try to find out about these.. So far we don't know much.." I said while putting the loose diamond in my pocket before we started to head back to the cave. "At least no-one had found us.. Even if you were about to attack some diamonds.." He smirked, making me chuckle and punch his biceps gently. "So funny! Ever thought about becoming a comedian?" I said while closing the cave's hidden doorway behind us. "Nah.. I wouldn't steal my bro's job!" He laughed, making me laugh too before we got back to sleep, meaning that he fell asleep fast, while I stayed awake to think.

"How would we save the nature of Mars? With these diamonds or not, but their energy depends on that they couldn't be removed from the ground and the both of the Mars' moons' lights needed to hit them during a night when the moon of Phobos was full.." I thought to myself while having the piece of diamond again in my hand. It made me get up from the couch to walk to the other room in my hidden laboratory.

"Tetra hydrocarbons.." I said quietly to myself while looking at the minerals of the diamond via a microscope. I remembered reading about those when I was still in school, but I would have never thought they were actually rare since they were the rarest diamonds on the whole planet. But could they be found somewhere else too since these ones energy wouldn't be enough for the whole planet? And maybe even more powerful than these Martian ones?

"Maybe on Jupiter or the Earth.. Further would take too long to go.." I thought while rubbing my jaw. My life was a complete mess right now, but this possible way to save the planet needed to be checked! I had no idea where the Goddess would take me next in my life, but I had a feeling that it was something remarkable..
