Author's pov:

"So.. This is the new guy you warned in the video call?" Carbine laughed while Vinnie was doing some tricks that reminded Carbine only about the circus. He tried to get every single female's attention when he met one. But that Carbine saw him as just an annoying and young soldier.

"Yes.. Vinnie joined my group and as a surprise, I don't regret my decision.." Throttle said while lifting his hand on Carbine's back. The Female purred lightly and turned to look at the male. "Not yet.." She laughed and then heard another yell from the new guy.

"Hey, General! What did you think of that one?" Vinnie said after doing a few back flips from the roof, but Carbine had her eyes on Throttle. "What one?" Carbine smirked and then turned to look at the white furred male. "You could have told me that she's all yours, Throttle!" Vinnie growled after seeing them together.

"Well.. It's complicated" Throttle and Carbine said accidentally at the same time making Modo laugh and roll his eyes. "Much more complicated than the Army's war plans!" He added making the whole group laugh. "So... Your friends with benefits a.k.a fuck buddies..?" Vinnie grinned but that then hell ripped off.

Something snapped in Carbine's mind. She rushed straight away to the young male and lifted him against the wall from his X-cross bandoleer. "YOU KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT OR I'LL RIP IT OFF AND SEW IT TO YOUR TAIL!!" Carbine yelled and she was so furious. Throttle and Modo were surprised about her behaving too, but Vinnie was much more shocked.

"I understand why you are general.." He whined but Carbine didn't let him go. She only tightened her grip. "I DIDN'T HEAR YOUR APOLOGY!" She hissed and her eyes were filled with anger, but also with fear. But only Vinnie, who was facing her, saw it.

"I'm very sorry, General Carbine.. I was tactless.." Vinnie said but Carbine's expression kept wondering him. She dropped him down and wasn't gentle at all. She poked his chest while talking. "If I ever hear that kind of words from you, I make sure that even the Guardians on the Bikes will never want you!" She growled and turned her back to him. She walked back to her bike at the parking lot. They had come to one of the abandoned parking lots near the borders of the town to have a meeting. There were also few abandoned buildings which under were some military forces hiding space.

"Where are you going, Carbine?" Throttle got worried and turned to look at the black haired female. "This meeting is over. I don't have time to babysit every single new soldier that isn't even in my forces." Carbine said coldly and lifted her helmet from the bike. She put it on and then climbed on her bike. She didn't even look at Vinnie anymore after what had just happened. All three of the males had noticed that being weird. Normally Carbine would take care of the new guys, even if they were in that kind of group.

They just stared at the female, expecting her to leave without saying anything, which would have made Throttle much more worried, but instead of leaving, she just stared to the horizon and didn't say anything. Neither of the male saw that couple of tears drop down her cheeks. Vinnie had hurt her. He truly had, even if he had mentioned his words as a joke. But those words were part of Carbine's history. Something very dark had happened and it definitely still had its effects on her. And she would never want to talk about it to anyone.

"Are you three biker mice coming or not?" She said and sniffed. Vinnie had noticed her action better than the other males. Maybe because he had seen the fear in her eyes earlier. "What did you call us?" Modo chuckled and tried to cheer up the tense atmosphere. "Biker mice.. That would be a cool name for our new formed group!" Throttle said after thinking about it.

"What do you think, Vinnie?" Modo said and turned to look at the newest member of their group. "Mars is calling.. Do you copy, Vinnie?" Throttle said and then punched gently Vinnie's shoulder making the young soldier awake back to the reality. He had been thinking about Carbine and her actions.

"What mice?" Vinnie said making only the other guys laugh. Except Carbine who was still staring to the horizon. "Biker mice! Like Carbine called us.. Did you lose your sense of hearing or what?" Throttle said and then got closer to him. "She's still mine remember.." He said with a tone that only Vinnie could hear.

"Agreed..?" Throttle said with a demanding voice. "Yes, Col.. I mean Throttle.." Vinnie said and then remembered one of the earlier meetings, where Throttle had said that he hoped they would become just like brothers, so they would forget the army manners when they were with just their group members.

"..From Mars!" Modo said making the other males turn to look at him with confusion. "Biker Mice from Mars - cooler name for us!" He added making them start to think about it. "You sound like we are going somewhere since our home planet is added into the name.." Vinnie said but then agreed that the name really was cool. "You never know what the future serves for us!" Modo said but that went to deaf ears. Vinnie had his full attention back to Carbine, meanwhile Throttle wrote the new group name down and sent it to the headquarters so Stoker would sign it to be official.

"What do you think about our new name, Carbine?" Throttle said and then went to Carbine. "Babe is everything okay?" He asked with a low voice that the other males couldn't hear it. He was worried after seeing Carbine in that state. "Yes.. Why do you ask.." Carbine sniffed and clearly avoided eye contact with him.

"I can see you have cried.. Did someone say anything wrong?" Throttle said and lifted his hand on Carbine's jaw but he denied it with her hand. "No I haven't.. You are just imagining things.. Focus on your duties, Throttle.." Carbine said with an almost cold tone in her voice. But when they were alone with just two of them, she couldn't hide anything from him. Except something that only she knew..

"What do you think about our name, General?" Vinnie said and drove closer to the complicated-couple with Modo. Throttle was about to say something before they came but now the moment was ruined. He was still worried about Carbine. She was acting very strangely.

"It's very nice.." Carbine said making Vinnie lift his other eyebrow. "Nice? That's all? You gave us a name and then called it just 'nice'?" He said and kept staring at the female. "What? Okay.. I might be a bit more tired than usual.. That's all.." Carbine said but definitely lied and one of them didn't buy that. "I guess it's not easy to be general.." Throttle said and then lifted his hand gently on her back. She smiled gently and then nodded as an agreement.

"Let's head back to the town.. I still have some work to do after this.." Carbine said and lied again. She sent a message to someone by using her bike's system. Vinnie saw her writing the word 'emergency' which made the things much more weird than they already were.

"Oh right, I promised to take care of Rimfire! My sister goes to meet our grey furred mom but for some reason couldn't take him with her.." Modo laughed and had a strong clue that it had something to do with Rimfire's upcoming birthday. "Yeah.. And I had to meet with Stoke.. But should we meet later tonight, Carbine? We had the date unsettled..? Throttle said and turned to look at Carbine again.

"I'm quite sure that the work will keep me busy for the rest of the day.. Sorry, Throttle.." She said but then tried to smile again. "We'll have it, I promise!" She said and then turned on his bike. "See you later, guys!" She said and then left in a hurry.

'Work with emergency.. Huh, Carbine..' Vinnie thought himself and sensed something very suspicious about her behaving. "How do you spend your evening, Vinnie? With couple of root beers?" Modo said and turned on his bike too. "I.. I have other plans in mind.. See ya!" He said and left in a hurry too. Throttle and Modo left in the other direction and didn't even realize that Vinnie had gone the same way than Carbine had left.

He was definitely following her. He wanted to know what she was up to. Even if he had just met her, he knew that the way of her acting was very weird and suspicious. 'Others can buy your lies but I won't.. I'll find out what you are hiding, General Carbine!' Vinnie thought in his mind while following Carbine, but also keeping safe distance, so she wouldn't notice that he was following her, would she?
