31: Freedom Fighters

Author's pov:

"WHAT?!" Everyone, at the regiment and in that same room, gasped in unison after the general Stoker had announced his secession in the army forces. "Stoker.." Throttle was about to say something but then Vinnie shouted over him. "But Old Timer!! You can't quit!" He shouted and stepped towards the older brown furred male mouse that had long brown hair in a ponytail. "And what gives you a right to decide that for me?" He said before turning around since a familiar voice had got his attention.

"Are you serious, Stoker? Especially when you know the current situation.." General Carbine said while her eyes were widened as a sign she was also still processing what had just happened. "Yes" Stoker said and pulled out a paper of his secession. "If it's official then.. I'll inform the other higher generals.." She sighed before she was about to end the video call. "Don't hang up yet, General Carbine.." He started while turning to look at the others that were still clearly in a shock.

"I have something else to say too.." He said clearly, making everyone turn to look at him again. "Tell me you are turning your jacket and I'll take you down myself.." Vinnie growled, making him chuckle. "Like you would manage to do that, Punk! But no.. I'm not.. Actually" He said, making Throttle lift up his other eyebrow. "I'm going to make things work better here on the forces and I hope as many of you would join me!" He said, but then saw Modo shaking his head.

"No offense, General.. But none of us will quit just because you decided to do so.." He said while crossing his arms. "I admire your loyalty to the army.. But I know at least you three will like my idea" He grinned while looking at the Biker Mice. "Idea? What idea?" Vinnie said while looking at his bros before looking at their mentor again.

"I didn't only resign from the Army, soldiers! I'm also going to found a resistance movement!" He said, making now some of the soldiers sound more pleased and even interested about the idea. "Resistance?" Carbine said while still being there via the video call. "You know yourself, Carbine, that not the military handle everything like they should do.. One of those many things included, I have decided to do something about it! So who's with me on our way to save Mars?!" He said while turning to look at the soldiers.

"I.. I don't know.." Vinnie mumbled while thinking about the idea. "What?! You Punk.. I thought you would have been the first to join me to the Freedom Fighters at first" He smirked and swung his tail while crossing his arms. "Freedom Fighters?" Throttle asked while being clearly curious now. That made Carbine worried that he could notice just by looking at her.

"No.." She formed her mouth to him when she noticed he was looking at the monitor. She wanted to shake her head but since the others would have seen it too, she didn't do it, but she knew he would read her well enough anyway. "That's the name for the movement, pretty cool, don't you think?" Stoker said, making the trio start to think about it more. "At least better than the Guardians on the Bikes.." Modo said while turning to look at Throttle who clearly looked like he had made his mind. "I'll join you, Stoke.." Throttle stood forward, making the black haired general's' eyes widen up again. She was truly in shock, more than her uncle's decisions.

"Throttle.." Modo said, but then nodded. "Count me in.." He smirked and followed his bros lead. They turned to look at Vinnie who was still thinking. "Oh c'mon! Like you had ever cared about rules, Vincent! Your first day here you even stepped on the Commander in Chief's feet!" Throttle grabbed his shoulder and pulled him to the same line with them, making him smirk and nod. "Alright!" He swung his tail and started to laugh when they saw a few other soldiers joining them too which made General Stoker start to smile proudly at the view.

And it didn't take long before the military forces got way too many resigns than even Stoker had imagined. But the most displeased one was General Carbine, who had to do all the paperwork about that and inform the other military forces about their current situation. She didn't actually know if she was more angry or more disappointed with Throttle, but she also knew that she was very worried about whether he would ever come back to the Brimstone since the Freedom Fighter movement had decided to stay there a bit Southern for a while. Stoker had decided that they headed to the places where the situation was the worst, so they could be most helpful there. Even if some of the soldiers in the resistance movement had families, they were still ready to do anything needed to protect their loved ones and the whole planet.

After General Stoker's secession, the army wasn't surprised anymore about the all time coming resigns. Even some of the nurses had decided to quit there since the resistance movement needed them too, and the military didn't accept them to help any possible enemy while being in their forces, even if the Freedom Fighters didn't show any threat to the military. If not count those times some of them tried to get the soldiers back to the army and they had ended up even fighting about that.

"Not you too, Harley.." Carbine sighed while rubbing her forehead. Like she hadn't been stressed enough and now this. "Sorry Carbine.. But even if Vinnie acted like a jerk to me.. And even if he isn't the only reason for me to follow the guys.. They need more my help there and the military.. They don't yet have many mechanics there who also happen to be nurses too.." She sighed while sitting on a seat in front of a monitor.

"You said it.. Neither do us.. You are one of the best nurses.. And my best friend too.." Carbine sighed while looking at the all time growing pile of resignation forms. "I know.. But this won't affect our friendship, will it, Carbine?" She sighed too but then smiled when she saw her friend shaking her head. "At least you are in good hands there.. But remember to take care of the guys, right?" She said while Harley could easily see her being not only sad but also tired.

"Of course! That's why I came in here in the first place.." She smiled, making the general chuckle. "Right.. First thing you said when you woke up in the hospital was, 'how's the others'.. Like you didn't care at all about that you had stopped breathing while being kidnapped with the other nurses.." Carbine said, making her smile. "That's what I am.. Others before me.." She said, making the black haired female sigh and nod.

"I know that.. And I admire that in you, but also it scares me.. It'll get you hurt.." Carbine said but then a voice behind her, made her freeze right there in her place. "Hurt, huh?" Sergeant Scabbard said, making Harley's eyes widen when he saw him standing there too. He had his hands on his waist while he looked at the black haired general with a smirk on his face. "Scabbard?! What.. How are you there?!" Harley gasped before pressing a button that gave an alarm to the Biker Mice's bikes. They had headed to the battle field again with general Stoker and few others when Harley had stayed there on the base to give the information to General Carbine that the Silver Star General had ordered her to do.

"Came to check on my dear female.." He smirked but soon heard someone shouting him away from the general. Harley pressed the button almost broken as she tried to get as many alarms there as possible. It took time when Throttle called her to the other monitor. "What is it, Harley? Did the enemy find the base?" He asked but when he saw her expression, he got worried. He saw her writing something on a paper while she was clearly looking at another monitor.

"Stay away from her!!" She shouted even if there was nothing she could do from there. She lifted the paper to the other monitor from which Throttle could read what she had just written. "What?!" He started growling immediately after reading the words "Scabbard, Carbine, help" as fast as he could.

"How is he there?!" Vinnie gasped when he looked at the commander's monitor too after driving right next to him. Since the other bikes had only just the devices for radio calls, the Biker Mice's bikes had more advantage technology in them, which also meant the suitability for video calls. "Like you could do anything from there, sweet Harley.. What good timing that old Stoker chose to resign with the others.. Now I can do whatever I want here.." Scabbard grinned while Carbine was clearly too shocked even to move. He hadn't only used her, he had also raped her and abused her. And now when he was supposed to be in jail, he stood right there next to her.

"You might have got out of jail temporarily, but you have a strict restraining order towards the General!!" One very muscular soldier shouted before walking to them with Jessica. "Leave her alone.." She said while looking at her own brother. She stood in front of Carbine which made Harley a bit relieved when she saw that there was someone to do something at the moment when she or Throttle wasn't there to help.

"Harley, answer me!! Is Carbine alright?!" Throttle shouted before the enemies started to shoot at them again. Their group was fighting against Plutarkians when she had called them. He only saw the nurse shrugging while she couldn't do anything more than just follow it through the video call which made not only her frustrated, but also the Biker Mice who were even more far from them and couldn't see what was happening at the other base. Throttle felt like his head would explode right there. He was so worried about Carbine now.

"Temporarily?" Harley asked after hearing what Jessica had just said. "Like you'd have anything to say to me, sister! You have chosen their side!!" The Sergeant growled at the chestnut furred female who stood there right in front of her friend who was still in shock. "It's only your fault after what you have done! I don't know what happened to you and when but you ain't that brother of mine I used to know!" She shouted but soon felt a punch on her jaw which made her bend over while holding it.

"Jessica!!" Harley gasped which got Modo now worried too. "Vinnie, hack the cameras to the other base.. Now!!" Throttle commanded while he and the other soldiers covered the white furred male. "Like I'd know anything about that.." He said but then obeyed. But when they finally saw what was happening over there, they were a bit relieved. Some soldiers had caught the sergeant and dragged him out there. He got moved to the other side of the base before he would be transferred elsewhere.

"I'll make him regret that he punched her! His own sister.." Modo growled while the Biker Mice felt so frustrated. They should have been in that base now, but instead of that they were needed also in the battlefield too. "Carbine.. Do you hear me?" Throttle asked worriedly after he finally saw her moving a bit. "Yeah.." She swallowed when she felt her whole body starting to tremble. Vinnie had got another video call connection open for each of their bikes.

"Gosh I should be there now with you.." Throttle growled and he felt so bad for her. "I wish you were.. This day couldn't be any worse.." She sighed and tried to prevent herself from crying. Jessica was sitting there next to her while still holding her jaw that had started to swallow a bit. "I heard he got out of jail because the army needed more soldiers.. Do you happen to know why? I thought we were good.." She said before turning to look at the monitors to see the biker mice closing their eyes for a moment.

"Don't you say this is our fault.." Vinnie said what they all were thinking. "What is your fault? What did you guys do then?" Jessica asked while looking at them before turning to look at Carbine again. Since she had been helping with a surgery today, she hadn't yet heard the news. She had just got back from there when she saw her brother way too close to the black haired general. Luckily there was that other soldier to help her too.

"Stoker resigned from the army.. He founded a resistance movement and we lost many good soldiers and even nurses for the Freedom Fighters.." Carbine sighed while leaning against her arms on the table to bury her face. She felt it a bit helpful that Jessica had lifted her other hand on her back to gently pet it as a way to calm her down. "What?!" She gasped and turned to look at the monitor to see the Biker Mice who looked very guilty now.

"Aren't you ashamed of yourselves?!" She shouted at the males who gulped. "They couldn't have known what would happen.." Carbine said while still hiding her face and that she was actually crying silently. "It was very bad luck that Scabbard ended up back in the same base.. That was a huge mistake that should have been prevented from happening.." They heard Stoker saying, when he drove back to their base with the Biker Mice.

"You knew that would happen?!" Vinnie said while they drove their bikes to their places in the hidden underground storage after Modo had written an entrance code to a hidden monitor that was on a rather big stone. It moved away from the entrance after receiving the right code. Then it made the hidden opening to open up and after they had got inside, it closed itself right away. "I had a hunch that they would need more soldiers after losing some.. But I didn't expect him to get free and especially get back to the same base.." Stoker said but soon felt a punch on his cheek.

"It's your fault Carbine has to go through that shit again!!" Vinnie shouted fiercely while the video call was still on. "Vincent!" Jessica shouted with Harley who had run to the bike storage after seeing that from the monitors. "I understand she's afraid of him after he abused her, but I see nothing that would be my fault.." Stoker growled while rubbing his cheek after a pretty fine punch from the white furred male. He had been right about that they had got some meat on their bones.

"Nothing?! You were the one who looked through your fingers in the first place!! You know nothing about what he has really done to her!" He shouted but then felt Throttle and Modo grabbing him from his both hands to prevent him from punching the general again. "Vinnie stop!!" Throttle growled even if he didn't quite disagree with his bro, but also the general was right. Even if he agreed that Stoker deserved to know, it was Carbine's decision to make. Telling him like this would just make her situation even worse, not even mentioning how she would feel.

"No, I won't! And neither should you, Throttle! How can you call yourself her male if you don't defend her?!" He shouted but then heard Carbine talking. "Vincent enough!!" She shouted but he shook his head to her. "No Carbine.. It's time for your uncle to hear the truth of that night.." He said, making the black haired general's eyes widen. "Don't you dare, Vinnie.." Jessica gulped while they all turned to look at the white furred male in tense. Even Harley just stared at him there and couldn't say anything.
