Author's pov:

"She'll get out soon, so just calm down Throttle!" Vinnie chuckled while leaning against the wall and tossing a coin in his hand. "Just last check and she gets out of the hospital.." Modo said while sitting on a chair. The Back rest was between his legs and he was leaning against it with his hands crossed.

"I know right! I just can't get that thing out of my mind.. Mace is so suspicious.. He caused this to Carbine.." Throttle said while walking back and forth in the waiting room of the hospital. "It was just an accident! He had just landed and Carbine was there at the wrong place at the wrong time.." Vinnie said while tossing the coin.

"If it's heads, Carbine comes out next. If tails, someone else comes to tell us something about her!" He continued making Throttle stop wandering around and turn to look at the coin nervously. Vinnie tossed the coin and it felt like forever when it flew up in the air and then landed back to his hand. Throttle swallowed deeply and he could hear his heart almost bouncing out of his chest.

"Tails!" Vinnie said when revealing the coin. Throttle sighed deeply and continued wandering around again. "Throttle calm down.. She's okay, it's just the last check!" Modo tried to calm down his friend and superior. "He's in love.. That's why he is so nervous about this.." Vinnie smirked and continued tossing the coin.

"Like you wouldn't do the same if it's Harley who lays there.." Throttle glared at him making him gulp and look down at the floor. "My apologies.." Vinnie just said making Throttle sigh again. Right after that they heard someone talking in the corridor and all three of them turned to look at where the voice had come from.

"Just get your painkillers like I explained you to. If there's any changes for worse in your state, call or come back here. Don't hesitate to do it, general" Nurse Jessica explained and gave Carbine her belongings back. "Thank you, I'll contact you if anything happens" Carbine smiled but then gasped when felt like someone drove over her with a tank.

"Carbine!!" Throttle shouted happily when he finally saw her. He had immediately ran to hug her and almost pulled her over to the floor. Vinnie and Modo had run to hug her too. Three muscular macho mice running against would definitely feel like a tank!

"I'm happy to see you guys too.. But if you don't let me breath.. I'll spend another week here!" Carbine said making the men let her go and she could take a deep breath again. "You need to calm down.. She is fine, but still convalescent!" Jessica said demandingly making all three of them drop their ears down and nod humbly.

"You definitely need to teach me that!" Carbine laughed when she saw them reacting like that. "How are you, Carbine?" Throttle ended up asking when no-one told them anything. "Like the nurse said, I'm fine. Just feeling a bit of pain still but pain killers help.. When I get back to work, I'll be better!" Carbine said but then Jessica coughed.

"You have your sick leave for a week still, general!" She said and then gave her some papers. "What?!" Carbine gasped and looked at the papers which she put in her bag after that. "Doctor told you about it already.." Jessica said making Carbine sigh deeply. "I see doctors really don't joke.." She said but then heard Throttle talking.

"I'll keep you so busy that you don't even remember the sick leave or working at all!" Throttle said making Vinnie burst out laughing. "I know how you keep her busy!!" He laughed making Carbine growl and took a tight grip of his right ear. "Vincent!! Do I have to clean your mouth with soap?!" She growled while the men were whining some apologies.

"Nothing too physical for the whole week, general. Farewell for now" Jessica said and turned to leave back to her work. "Modo.. Do something!" Vinnie said and poked Modo's shoulder and then nodded towards the nurse who was walking away from them. Modo hesitated for a moment and gulped a couple of times while looking at the receding back of the nurse.

"What do you have to lose for? Give it a try!" Throttle said and tried to encourage his friend. "I know you can do it, Modo" Carbine smiled friendly which made Modo smile too. Then he decided to do it. "Jessica, wait!" He shouted and ran after her making her stop near the corner where she was about to turn to.

"They'll be a wonderful couple!" Vinnie said while crossing his arms behind his head and leaning against them while walking. "Just go now.. Let Modo handle this" Throttle said and then took Carbine's stuff. "Let me carry these for you" He said making Carbine blush a bit. "I'll drive you home, or anywhere you want to go" He continued making her smile and nod.

"Thank you. I'd like to visit the army base" She started and the guys were about to say something about sick leave, but then she continued. "Just to tell everyone about my situation and see what's going on there.. Maybe there's some paperwork I can do at home.." She said making Throttle chuckle while Vinnie was smiling and rolling his eyes. "Someone just won't calm down!" The white furred male said making all of them laugh while walking out of the hospital and to the bikes of the males.

Meanwhile at the corridor of the hospital:

"Yes?" Jessica said and turned around. When she saw who had shouted her name, she blushed. "What is it mister?" She asked friendly when Modo reached her. "Just call me Modo, miss Jessica" Modo smiled and rubbed the back of his neck. "Only if you call me Jessica, without any titles" She said making him smile and nod to her.

"Okay, but only if you go out with me?" Modo finally managed to say it out loud. That made Jessica blush and turn to look at the floor. Small but quite awkward moment of silence was followed by it. "I see if you don't want or if you are already taken.." Modo started to feel a bit embarrassed and rubbed the back of his neck again while looking at the floor.

"No!" Jessica blurted out and turned to look at Modo. "I see.. Good to know.. Bye, Miss Jessica.." Modo said and started to leave already but Jessica managed to take his hand in hers. "No.. I didn't mean it as an answer for your question. Maybe the last one but not the first!" She mumbled and then sighed making Modo a bit confused.

"What I want to say is.. I'd love to go out with you, Modo" She smiled making Modo look at her emerald green eyes. He looked quite surprised. "Really..?!" Modo asked if he had heard right. "Yes! And I'm single, if you still need an answer for that too.." She giggled making Modo smile back at her.

"That's great! I mean.. I don't understand how it is possible. You are such a gorgeous and amazing person, even if we haven't known each other for a long time yet.." He tackled into his own words making Jessica giggle again. "Thank you! You are so polite.." She smiled and then continued. "Let's see if there's a change to fix the status.. If you are lucky, I won't be single for long anymore" She winked at him making him blush a bit.

"I'd be very lucky if that happens.. But about the date, when would you be free to go?" Modo asked making Jessica to look like she was thinking about something. "The day after tomorrow, Saturday evening, would be good. This week is otherwise quite busy at the hospital and I have promised to help my sister to move on Friday.." She said making Modo nod to her but then looked a bit confused.

"You have a sister?" He asked making her nod. "We have a lot to discuss if we want to get to know each other better!" Jessica said making Modo smile and nod. "Saturday evening sounds good to me. I'll plan something nice" Modo said making Jessica blush a bit again. "That would be lovely! Please call me near the day. I have to get back to work now.." Jessica said and handed him a piece of paper which was her number written on it. She had just written it when they were talking.

"Of course! Thank you and have a nice day, Jessica" Modo said and smiled at her. "It was nice to talk with you.. Thank you. Have a safe drive, Modo" Jessica said and then left back to her duty. Modo smiled and looked at the piece of paper while walking outside of the hospital.

"What's up, big guy? Did you do it or what took you so long?" Vinnie said while smiling and leaning against his bike. "That smile tells us everything, I'm happy for you Modo!" Carbine said while already sitting behind Throttle on his bike.

"What are you doing here guys?" Modo said and looked a bit confused after seeing them still there. "Waiting for you of course. We would never leave our friend behind!" Throttle said and smiled at him. "How did it go?" He continued while Modo walked to his own bike.

"We have a date settled and I got her number.. She was happy that I asked her out.." Modo explained while smiling and then he turned to look at the sky that was bright because of the sun. "That's amazing!" Carbine said while Vinnie and Throttle were also contrasting him. "When is it?" Throttle asked while putting his helmet on. Others did the same after him.

"On Saturday. She's busy at the hospital and has promised some important things to her sister.." Modo explained making Vinnie's eyes go wide. "She has a sister?!" He said but then felt a punch at his shoulder. "Ouch! What was that for?!" He whined and turned to look at Carbine who had got up from Throttle's bike and walked to him.

"You have Harley, remember?!" Carbine growled to him making him blush and drop his ears down. While Carbine walked back to Throttle and sat behind him, she said "You don't have to tell us everything.. You are just getting to know each other." That made Modo turn to look back at them and nod to her.

"Yes, I'll remember that. But where are we heading next?" He asked while they were turning their bikes on. "First to the army base. Carbine is too restless to stay in the bed for the whole week, so we need to keep an eye on she does just the paper work during her sick leave" Throttle said and then felt a poke on his shoulder. He turned to look at Carbine who was glaring at him. Then they both ended up laughing for that.

"That sounds good for me" Modo said and then Throttle spoke up again. "And then I'll take her to the finest restaurant, so I can keep an eye on her more" He smirked making Carbine blush a bit. "You don't have to do that Throttle.." She said but Throttle shook his head. "I don't, but I want to. So no excuses, general" He said making her chuckle and nod.

"Sounds like I need to see Harley too.. I'm the womanizer of the group and you two got dates settled before me!" Vinnie said while slowly moving his bike behind Throttle who was about to lead their way. "Are you losing your touch, Vinnie?" Throttle grinned and then started to head their way towards the base.

"Just temporarily! I needed to help you guys with you women!!" Vinnie shouted back to him when they were driving out of the parking lot of the hospital. "You can eat your excuses!" Carbine laughed making all of them laugh while they were driving off.

At the one of the nurses rooms of the hospital:

"So that was the soldier you told me about.." Someone said while leaning against the window on the third floor. "Yes.. And I'd appreciate it if you keep your hands out of this, sis" Jessica said while organizing her papers which were laying on her desk.

"Sure.. What were you expecting me to do? We are sisters! I'd never steal the man you like.." The person said while turning around to look at Jessica. "Yea.. You'd never do that.." Jessica sighed deeply and put some of the papers inside a file and some of them inside her desk's drawer.

"That's right! But I need to go now.. You know the bikes and stuff won't fix themselves. See you later, sister!" She said and hurried her way out the room fast, leaving Jessica sighing deeply while leaning against her desk. "It isn't always a good thing to have a twin sister.." She sighed deeply while looking at a framed picture on her desk where were she and her twin sister who had just left the room. At the pictures they were just children, but now they were adults and her sister had stolen every single boyfriend to herself that Jessica had had.

"You won't get this one.. I'll be sure about that!" Jessica said and lifted the framed picture to lay against the desk so she wouldn't see the picture of it. Right behind it where another framed picture. In that picture were also third person with the twin sisters and they were older in it. And that person was wearing a military uniform..
