Kabuki
Third Person P.O.V
Hiro quickly turns and bolts out of his room, snatching up his jacket and clumsily throwing his shoes on.
He staggers down the stairs, running into the counter with a small grunt before making a dash to the door.
Cass turns, walking in front of him just as he made it to the door.
"Hiro!" she greets with a smile, lowering her notepad.
"Hey, Aunt Cass!" Hiro tightly grins back, his eyes wide as he tries to look past her.
"You're up! I-- (Y/N) told me you might need a little more time when she left--"
"No, no, I figured now was time," he replies, antsy as he spots Baymax and (Y/N).
"Really? Are-- are you registering for school?" Cass eagerly questions, Hiro not really paying attention.
"Uh, yes!" Hiro ducks around her, backing towards the door. "I thought about what you said. Really inspired me."
"Oh, honey, that's so great!"
"Uh-huh," Hiro nods before grunting as she pulls him into a hug.
"Okay," Cass sighs happily, pulling away. "Special dinner tonight. I'll whip up some chicken wings! You know, with the hot sauce that makes our faces numb."
She mocks someone's mouth burning, laughing lightly while Hiro looks back.
"Okay, sounds good."
"Great!" Cass sighs happily again, tugging him back into another hug. "Last hug."
Hiro nervously smiles as she once again pulls away, his hand resting on the door handle.
As she walks away he swiftly yanks the door open, flailing himself outside as people gasp and dodge the running boy.
...
"Wait-- Baymax, for a nurse, you're not very safe--!" (Y/N) pulls Baymax's arm, gasping as she was simply pulled along with him as he crossed the street.
She gasps and squeals as a moped driver dodges them, a semi-truck slamming on the brakes with warning honks.
...
"Guys!" Hiro shouts, pushing through the crowd of people and dodging a trolley as he crosses the street.
...
"How'd we end up on this?" (Y/N) mumbles to herself, not noticing Hiro standing in the street behind her as she and Baymax drive by.
Hiro turns, blinking rapidly when he spots her and Baymax.
"Guys--!" he yelps as a car screeches to a stop in front of him, making him nervously laugh in apology before turning.
Hiro was stopped by dozens of people on bicycles riding past, making him groan in frustration as he looks around them.
...
Hiro caught up to the trolley, and he quickly climbs up and peers around. The two were gone, making him groan again as he rushes off and runs up a flight of nearby stairs.
The small square bustled with people, making him bounce around trying to see past them. He spots Baymax, sighing in relief when he also sees (Y/N) still at his side.
"Guys! Come on!" he yells in exasperation over the people, trying to shove past them.
...
Hiro runs down an alley, looking both ways frantically before spotting (Y/N) turning a corner.
"Whoa!" he yelps as he slides, turning too fast.
A cat yowls, Hiro wincing as he staggers to his feet and chases after the two.
...
He runs down another set of stairs, panting heavily in exhaustion when he sees Baymax standing in front of an abandoned warehouse, (Y/N) looking up at the building.
"(Y/N)!" Hiro calls, making her jump slightly and turn.
"Oh, hey, Hiro!" she smiles, waving and looking over his sweaty, red face. "Ooh. You okay?"
His eye twitches as he stares at her, "are you crazy? What are you even doing?"
"You said finding where your little bot wanted to go would help, right?" (Y/N) replies, gesturing to Baymax. "So... We found it."
"Yes," Baymax turns to the two. "We have found where your tiny robot wants to go."
"I... Told you," Hiro pants lightly, catching his breath as he wipes some sweat from his forehead. "It's broken. It's not trying to go..."
(Y/N) grabs the small petri dish from Baymax, holding it out to Hiro as he trails off. He watches as she turns, the bot still trying to get to the doors of the warehouse.
"What...?"
"You were saying..." (Y/N) grins, playfully knocking his head with her knuckle as he winces, taking the petri dish from her.
Hiro grabs the lock of the warehouse, sighing. "Look, it's locked anyway. Let's just go."
"Oh, come on, Hiro. This is too weird to leave alone--"
"There is a window."
Baymax hints, looking up. The two follow his gaze, (Y/N) grinning and Hiro frowning with a sigh.
...
"Give me your hand-- stop wobbling!" (Y/N) reaches down to Hiro from the window as Hiro balances on Baymax's head.
"Oh, gee, sorry for shaking so much on an unstable surface, (Y/N)." He says in a deadpan tone.
"I wouldn't be too sarcastic with me," she warns playfully as she takes his arm. "I could easily drop you."
Hiro sweats a bit, laughing anxiously as he sheepishly smiles.
"Please exercise caution," Baymax says as (Y/N) struggles to pull Hiro up. "A fall from this height could lead to bodily harm."
"See? You better be nice to me," (Y/N) grunts, planting her feet firmly before swiftly pulling Hiro up.
He grabs the ledge and pulls himself up a bit with her help, looking around warily when he fully climbs in the window as (Y/N) looked at Baymax.
Hiro takes the Micro Bot from his pocket, the bot leading them deeper into the warehouse.
A loud squeak makes the two jump and look back, Baymax stuck inside the small window.
"Oh, no."
"Shh!" Hiro frantically shushes as (Y/N) walks forward, grabbing Baymax's hand and grunting as she tries to yank him out.
Hiro winces as Baymax continues squeaking loudly, (Y/N) yelping as she slips back and lands on her bum.
"That's not gonna work," she pants lightly, Hiro chuckling as he walks over.
He grabs under her arms, lifting her off the ground as she grins.
"Thanks."
"Excuse me while I let out some air."
Baymax holds up his finger, and the high pitched sound of air hissing could be heard a moment later. Hiro stares at him with a twitching eye, (Y/N) muffling a giggle behind her hand as Baymax continues deflating.
He stops, Hiro sighing. "Are you done?"
Baymax resumes deflating for a moment before becoming completely flat, "yes."
"Okay then," (Y/N) and Hiro each grab one of Baymax's hands, pulling him inside.
"It will take me a moment to re-inflate."
"Fine!" Hiro huffs, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Just keep it down."
Baymax starts inflating as Hiro motions for (Y/N) to follow him, the Micro Bot still tapping the side of the petri dish.
It was becoming stronger as they descended the stairs, (Y/N) looking around the dark warehouse with concern as she remains close to Hiro.
They peek around a corner, Hiro holding his arm back to (Y/N) when he sees something in the distance.
A machine was moving behind fogged glass, making (Y/N)'s brows furrow as she frowns.
"This place should be abandoned. Why would a machine be running?" she whispers, Hiro slowly handing her the petri dish.
He backs away and grabs a broom, making (Y/N) look up at it in disbelief as she smiles in amusement.
She follows Hiro as he leads, getting closer to the room as the Micro Bot starts to ram against the side even quicker.
The two squint as they look inside the room, two machines quickly working and a whirring sounding off on the other side. (Y/N) peers around, blinking rapidly as she blindly smacks at Hiro to get his attention.
"Hey!" he yelps as she smacks the side of his head before pausing, noticing the conveyer belt she was looking at.
(Y/N) approaches, Hiro following with confusion on his face as Micro Bots were dumped into a barrel.
Hiro scoops some up, looking back to (Y/N). "My... Micro Bots?"
Her eyes were wide as she looked past him, making him turn back with a soft gasp at the sight of hundreds of barrels filled with Micro Bots.
"Someone's making more," Hiro breathes out, (Y/N) slowly nodding in agreement.
"But how? They were destroyed--" (Y/N) stammers, looking around. "I don't understand."
Hiro shakes his head in confusion before noticing a map, his mouth in a firm line.
"Hiro? (Y/N)?"
Hiro screams in alarm, (Y/N) jumping and nearly slipping when she staggers.
"Hiro! You nearly gave me a heart attack!" she pants, holding her heart.
"Blame him!" Hiro defends, his own hand held to his chest.
"My hands are equipped with defibrillators," Baymax approaches (Y/N) as she raises a brow. "Clear--"
"Stop! Stop, stop!" Hiro quickly shouts as Baymax's hands light up, (Y/N) staggering backwards with a nervous laugh. "She wasn't serious, it's just an expression!"
(Y/N) sighs heavily in relief before pausing at the sound of something behind her. She looks down at the petri dish, the Micro Bot slamming rapidly against the side.
"Hiro...?" she slowly calls, looking back with wide eyes at the sight of the Micro Bots in the barrel rising.
"Oh, no."
Hiro swiftly turns with a gasp, (Y/N) backing away to him.
"Run!" he yells, grabbing her arm and pulling her as she yelps in surprise.
"Baymax!" (Y/N) shouts at the robot, making Hiro skid to a stop.
"Oh, come on!"
Baymax waddles after them, the Micro Bots still rising. "I am not fast."
"Me neither, but come on!" (Y/N) urges, the two rushing back.
Hiro grabs Baymax's arm, quickly pulling him along as (Y/N) follows.
"Come on!" Hiro grunts again as he rams into the warehouse door. He tries to kick it open, to no avail.
"Baymax! Aren't you super strong?!" (Y/N) questions, looking back at the bots.
Hiro nods, gesturing to the door. "Kick it down!"
Baymax lifts up his foot, tapping the door.
"Punch it?" Hiro shouts, Baymax raising a fist and softly tapping the door again.
"Hiro!" (Y/N) shouts, making him look back as the Micro Bots start to swarm to them.
"Go!" he urges, shoving Baymax as (Y/N) staggers out of the way of the bots as they slam against the door.
Baymax trips over pipes, making (Y/N) nearly trip over him as she and Hiro help him up.
"Oh, come on! Go, go, go!"
Baymax's head slams on a pipe above, making (Y/N) wince as Hiro continues to drag him.
Hiro shoves Baymax ahead through a small hallway, (Y/N) pushing Hiro's back as they make it through.
She slams the door behind them, trying to lock it before yelping as the door was slammed open by the bots.
Hiro and Baymax were thrown back, making (Y/N) run to them and shove Baymax through the crawl space he fell in.
"Hurry, Hiro!" she shouts, making him quickly stagger to his feet as he follows Baymax.
"Other way!" Hiro calls as Micro Bots start pouring in, making (Y/N) nod as she tries to push Baymax to go faster.
Hiro grunts as he pulls Baymax out of the vents before doing the same to (Y/N), the three running side by side.
Hiro and (Y/N) scream as the vent they were standing on was slammed open by bots, making the three go flying to the railing above.
"Ouch!" (Y/N) winces as they land, Hiro groaning and raising Baymax's hand.
He gasps when he sees someone standing on the other side of the path, (Y/N) already looking at him. The man wore a black trench coat with leather gloves and had a white mask with red lines, and was controlling the bots that swarmed behind them.
"Come on, the window!" Hiro shouts, helping (Y/N) up and pushing her in front of him as he helps Baymax up.
He tries to push Baymax through, Hiro grunting as he gets stuck.
"Oh, not now!" (Y/N) groans, looking back at the approaching man. "Can't you suck your gut in?!"
The two try pushing Baymax through, (Y/N) screaming as they were suddenly flipped. She held on to one leg, Hiro the other.
"Baymax!"
Baymax slowly blinks, looking ahead at the man. "Hiro? (Y/N)?"
He blocks his face as Micro Bots rammed against him, (Y/N) gasping as the three went flying.
Baymax grabs the two, holding them securely as they fall back. Hiro screams, (Y/N) squeezing her eyes shut as they land roughly on the sidewalk.
Baymax starts deflating as he lies there, Hiro blinking rapidly as he lands on his bum.
"Are we dead?" (Y/N) questions, still sitting on the deflating Baymax.
"No," Hiro breathes out in relief, standing and looking back to the window. "But come on, the sooner we're out of here the better."
(Y/N) shakily steps off of Baymax, looking at him in concern as Hiro pulls him up.
"Let's go! Hurry!"
