Impatient Patient [Pt.4]
"Good Evening."
Immediately, I freeze up at the sudden voice echoing in the quiet building.
I am so dead!
I definitely got caught!!!
"Do you come bearing Alistair Krei's black market chip?"
"You hired the Mad Jacks! The Mad Jacks guarantee success and havoc! And it's always awesome!" The Mad Jack, (aka. Greg) laughed with amusement.
Thank Pokey Sticks, the guy wasn't talking to me. Oh gee, my heart is beating so fast. I take a deep breath and slightly peek around a doorless opening to see the Mad Jack holding up a blue hexagon shaped chip.
The sound of chains lowering something gave me an opportunity to run behind an old crate. Gosh my throat is killing me.
A tall and lanky man steps off the platform and takes the chip. He seems really pale and…..evil looking. Definitely a villain. A green light projects itself from the watch on his wrist. "Ooo! Big Hero 6---" He doesn't sound at all impressed. "---on the move."
Hold on. This guy has trackers on them too? That is very concerning.
"Alright focus up. We keep the enemies occupied. You escape with the package. Mission accomplished." The Mad Jack explains.
"Super!" This time the guy likes the plan, but ends up reconsidering it. "Although…."
The Mad Jack took it as offensive, "Hey! My plan is DIAMOND. Flawless."
"The security of the package is paramount." The guy frowns.
I raise a brow and feel a little intrigued. Why was this chip so important anyway? It mustn't be THAT important especially when this villainous guy is letting those dimwits handle it.
"Alright, alright, I hear you. Let me just-- uh-- okay, minor adjustment. I will keep the package secure until the enemy is neutralized. Booya!"
I nearly snort that, I mean, come on. Big Hero 6 is definitely going to take it back. This is all a piece of cake.
The guy hands the chip back to the Mad Jack while the said Jack thanks him. "Hey, you. Good catch." I hide a bit more when the Mad Jack runs toward an opening in the ceiling. "MAD JACKS! Let's fly!" He flies off.
Quickly, I move away and go back to the entrance I came from. I send the locations of the Mad Jacks to everyone-- "Aaaaa---" Oh no, no, no, no, no! Not now!!! "--ACHO!!"
I turn around to see no one and it's quiet. Oh thank pocky sticks. "I need to get out of here." I whisper and easily hop out of the entrance.
The Mad Jack's hadn't gotten far since their radio signal is loud and clear. "Listen up, Jacks! Keep your eyes peeled for hostiles!"
"How many Jack?!" The female Jack responded as I flew up onto the roof, easily spotting them a mile away.
"Well with a handle like Big Hero 6. I figure we're looking somewhere between 5 and 7."
I blink at that comment and facepalm. "They seriously can not be THAT dumb." I shake my head and try to locate the Mad Jack that has the chip, now noticing that they're rotating around the perimeter. "Makes it even easier for us to take them down." I cough and nearly lose my balance. "Whoa….head rush…" Maybe Baymax was right.
The helmet disperses while I sit down and rub my head. I really don't feel too good. Why did I even decide to do this? I'm not fit for this physical type of hero work. I could've done this from my laptop!
A loud explosion catches my attention and the Mad Jack that has the chip now has a laser cannon. "No way! The violence rocks. It's a major part of the Mad Jack Program." It must have been something Baymax had said because he's pointing the weapon at the healthcare bot and takes a shoot.
I flinch while covering my face as Baymax is knocked onto the building below me.
"AND THE BOT IS DOWN FOR THE COUNT!"
Oh that guy is not getting away with that….I rise up as the helmet appears back onto my head. "AS IF!" I point at him, "That bot has been taking care of a lot of people that I care for, including me! So I'm going to return the favor." The rockets activate and I fly straight at the Mad Jack.
Boy. All this yelling isn't going to help my throat later.
The laser cannon is shot at me, but I easily twirl to the side before grabbing the end of the cannon and crush it in my palm. I toss it away while chasing the Mad Jack around the area.
"Hiro?" Honey Lemon says surprised when I pass by.
Next was Wasabi, "Have you lost it?!"
"That is not Hiro." Baymax defends.
I chuckle with amusement and cough. "Exactly! He is a perfect patient. Leg still elevated, had plenty of liquids, and of course, rest." I say proudly then stare at the two probes from a taser that latched to my chest. The electricity shocked across the suit, but I didn't feel a thing. Wow! Nanotechnology is so amazing! "Taser? Might wanna try something much more stronger."
Baymax flies up to me and takes the taser off.
"Thanks, Baymax." I say cheerfully, well as best as I can while croaking my response.
"You're welcome."
The Mad Jack gasps and flies straight up.
"Hm...I wonder how much these rocket boosters can take." I made the nanotech rockets boost me straight up at high speed, even going past the Mad Jack unnoticed.
He laughs, "EAT MY DUST!" He turns around, but ends up facing me. "AH!" As he turns again, he's faced with Baymax. "The bot!" Unfortunately when he tries to take off again, me and Baymax grab his jet pack. It tears off and the Mad Jack starts falling. "OOOOOOO! JAAACK DOOOOWN!"
I rocket boost down and grab him by the collar of his suit. "Next time, don't even TRY to pull ANY stunt while I'm around. Got it…..'GREG'." I emphasize his real name.
'Greg' glares at me and frowns with extreme offense, "Wow. That's cold."
I shrug and hold out a hand, "Krei's chip, please."
He frowns deeper and drops the chip onto my palm, then suddenly screams like a girl as I let go of him. Before Baymax could react, the other Jacks suddenly appear and catch their fellow Jack. They hover close to me and Baymax, all with narrowed eyes. "Hey! You nearly killed me!"
"I thought 'violence rocks'." I quote him back at what he had said earlier.
Baymax holds up a finger to add in his opinion, "Perhaps you should consider less dangerous activities."
The Mad Jack tries to make a comeback, "Maybe you should think about--.....WHATEVER." He throws his arms up, "JACK EXTRACTION!!!" They leave without any more words to exchange.
An alarm goes off and on the visor it reads, "Technical Difficulties", "Low Power", before the thrusters under my feet disappear.
"Oh no." My voice catches in my throat when I feel my body falling straight down. Only to land into Baymax's arms. I swallow and my throat hurts badly. Maybe this is enough for tonight.
"(Y/n). I advise that you do not drop a living being from such heights. It is highly dangerous and will cause extreme injury to them and yourself."
I glance up to Baymax when he lands then cast my gaze away in guilt. Seriously, being scolded by Baymax makes you feel very guilty. I sigh, "I know. Sorry, Baymax."
"Apology accepted." Baymax shuts his eyes, somehow looking like he's smiling warmly.
The moment was cut short by Gogo. "So, did you get the chip? By the way, you handle that situation pretty well for your first on the job hero work."
Oh you have no idea. I shrug at her, but wave the chip in my gloved hand.
"Great job!" Honey Lemon claps.
Somewhere, I could hear Fred puking and complaining about too much spinning. Wasabi shivers then grins sheepishly, "Good job, (Y/n). We should take the chip back to Krei. I'm worn out and I want to take a shower after each battle."
I chuckle with amusement until it turns into a coughing fit. "Ugh…."
Wasabi immediately shoots a few feet away, "Not again!"
Gogo rolls her eyes, "Yeah. We'll give Krei the chip and you go back home to get rest. I'm sure Hiro will be alright."
I bite my lip and talk with a raspy voice, "I know he will be okay, but….I can't give you guys the chip yet. I want to check it over to make sure Krei isn't going to get himself into trouble again."
Gogo still held her hand out, "Krei has a security team for that. Besides, you really sound like you need days of rest."
Under my tinted visor, I gaze at my closed hand before dropping the grey hexagon shaped chip into her palm.
"Are you going to tell Hiro about you being out here?" Honey asked.
I hum and smile, "Baymax will eventually tell Hiro. I trust him."
Fred pops up beside me and waves his arms, "Oh! Oh, oh, oh, oh!!!! I can tell him! Oh yeah, definitely! I'll tell him EVERY detail!"
We all cringe at his loudness, except Baymax.
"Fred. I'm sorry, but if you tell Hiro in the way YOU tell stories. I think he may have a heart attack." I chuckle lightly.
"Do not worry. That is a metaphor. Although it is possible Hiro may panic to the point of fainting." Baymax adds in.
Me and Honey Lemon giggle while Gogo snorts with a small smile.
"Alright, people! (Y/n) is sick, so we should let her get back to restoring her health." Wasabi reasons and crosses his arms to prove his point.
I nod, "Yeah, Wasabi's right. I'll see you guys whenever I feel better. Baymax, can you take me back home? I don't think I can go alone in my condition." I lay my head against the healthcare companion. "Then you can go back to Hiro."
Everyone waves to me while Baymax easily takes off into the sky and steadies himself above the buildings before hovering in front of the patio. Baymax must really want me to get rest, I'm back pretty fast.
I step into my room after unlocking my patio door. "Thanks, Baymax. See you soon." I smile as the nanites disappear back to my clothes.
Baymax moves his hand in a circular wave and leaves, most likely to go check on Hiro.
"Uuuuuughhh!!!!" I flop onto my bed and sink comfortably onto the covers. I need to take some medicine…..I turn to lay on my back and stare up at the ceiling. Who was that villainous man? For some odd reason…..he looked faintly familiar.

The luminous green screens flashes with many numbers that calculate data from different machinery. On the middle screen, a symbol of a creature stood out. An obake.
"And by now, the chip should be in Alistair Krei's hand." His blue eyes shifting from the watch on his wrist to the big computer screen. "Is there something wrong, Alistair? The reckless tycoon showing caution? Restraint?" He mildly mocks Alistair Krei and imagines the possible outcomes of Krei's actions with the chip.
The villainous man leans on the counter of controls, "But he remembers the abduction. Who can you trust? Who's on your side? Who knows?"
An intense atmosphere builds up when the screen opens up a live camera feed- "A-A-ACHO!!"
His eyes widen in surprise until he's face shows great displeasure, "WhAT?!" The chip wasn't in Alistair Krei's hand at all and the only face he could see was an adolescent. An ill adolescent. He had never been wrong….nor have his plans gone wro- "Hm?"
His fingers glide across a touch pad, opening up files on the laptop the chip was downloaded into. One file caught his interest. "Now...how did you end up with something like this?"
The file of Mel Meyer's Flexible Display Technology.
"Who would've thought we might've crossed paths again, Miss (L/n)?" He smirks and opens another file with pictures. Unfortunately, the screen froze and pixelated with the words, 'corrupted'.
Again, it surprised him and he grins more in satisfaction. You had stopped his chip from the virus it had and corrupted most of the information he had obtained from your laptop. "A MINOR setback."
A picture stayed in full view.
A picture of you and Tadashi.
Half of the man's face starts to glow purple. "Yes. A minor setback indeed." His fingers swiftly move across the controls, pulling up many news articles and other surveillance cameras. "Possibly, you know the team members of Big Hero 6. Is that how you ended up with the chip?"
Finally, another picture comes up of the Hamada Brothers. It zooms in on Hiro.
"You seem very close to this family, (Y/n) (L/n). I wonder….. what great lengths you are willing to go for them."

A phone vibrates uncontrollably from a phone call coming through. The ID name and picture showing Hiro.
"Not now….." I groan and reach out to try and blink away the sleep….ugh….I hate being sick. "You can wait, Hamada." I turn my phone on silent and toss it beside me on the bed before crashing out.
I took care of you, now leave me be. For now, anyway.
