Baymax, Karmi, (Y/n)

The picture above? Yes, I drew it, except for the small screen on Baymax’s belly.

I couldn't find the right picture for this short, so I made one. I hope you like it!

"(Y/n)! Can't explain. Can you watch Baymax? Thanks!"

"Hiro- ugh." I watch Hiro run into the elevator and leave. Why did he leave Baymax with me? Not that I'm complaining. I look up at Baymax as he looks down at me.

"Hello, (Y/n). Hiro had a not serious emergency and I couldn't go. You were the only person close by." Baymax explained.

I raise a brow, "Okay. Let's get inside." I lead Baymax inside the apartment. Now I have to explain to Karmi-

"Ugh! Really? What is Hiro's robot doing here?" Karmi glared from the couch and shuts off the tv. "Actually, I'm going to my room and don't let him near my room. There's no telling what he'll do." Her bedroom door slams shut.

I glare then roll my eyes, "Don't mind her, Baymax. It's just a part of her "adolescent" mood swings." I snicker and head to the kitchen.

"You are also having "pubescent" mood swings. It is completely normal for a young female your age." Baymax comments.

My eyes widen then huff when I hear Karmi laugh in her room, "HA!" I guess she heard. Ugh.

"Baymax, we don't say stuff like that out loud, okay?" I run a hand down my face then look up only to see Baymax gone. "Um….Baymax?" My eyes trail over to barely see the white balloon bot enter Karmi's room. "Baymax!" I shout quietly and panic.

"(Y/N)!!!" Karmi screeches from her laptop desk.

I slide in and grab Baymax’s arm with a sheepish grin. "Sorry. He just sorta, uh, ya know?" My attention went to the screen to see San Fransokyo Fanfiction webpage and scoff. Really? I mean, I don't blame her that fanfiction is fun to write, but it's a little weird she's writing a fanfic about Hero Hiro. Well….maybe I can't say I don't do that either.

"What is Karmutie?" Baymax questioned and leans in to scan over Karmi's fanfic profile.

Karmi clicks her tongue and covers the screen, "NOTHING! Just leave me in peace."

"It's a ship name between Karmi's name and Captain Cutie." I explain plainly though maybe I should've been more specific because Baymax has no knowledge of the fanfiction world.

Baymax tilts his head, "Karmi owns a vessel to transport her and Captain Cutie overseas?"

Me and Karmi both snicker and completely forgetting about the tension in the room.

"No. For your information, a ship is a shorter word for a relationship of two or more people. Especially in the fandom. We fans love to put fictional or real characters into relationships." Karmi geeks out.

"I do not understand." Baymax tries to process her words then places his hand on her laptop.

Oh no. Oh no, no, no, no, no! He's downloading information on everything about the fandom world! "Baymax!" I pulled his hand away before he got to 60%.

Karmi raises her brow, "What was that?"

"Downloading any data base on anything related to ship, fandom, and fanfiction. Unfortunately, (Y/n) has stopped half of the process, leaving me with a more, but less understanding of your SHIP." He holds up a finger like an idea struck him. "If one puts two people together or seen them together and they look 'CUTE' or 'ADORABLE'. Could (Y/n) and Hiro be a ship?"

Whaaa---WHAT?! My face heats up and...oh my pockysticks! "NO!" My voice squeaks at the end.

Karmi bursts out laughing and grins mischievously, "Whatever you want it to be! I would say you can call them a ship."

"Oh." Baymax turns on the screen in his belly and makes my name and Hiro's name scrabble around until it stops. "Then how would (ShipName) sound?"

I hide in my hands and whine silently. This is so embarrassing!

"Exactly! I'm starting to tolerate you, Baymax." Karmi pats his arm.

"I shall now make notes on a story about Hiro and (Y/n), which is a part of being in a fandom. Correct?" Baymax asked Karmi.

My eyes widen and I jump on Baymax, "NO! Enough about me and Hiro! What about Karmi and Captain Cutie?!"

Karmi leans back in her swivel chair and smirks, "I don't mind the attention, BUT your reactions are PRICELESS." She laughs and turns back to her fanfiction. "The Fires of Love" She hums and stops, "Actually, Baymax. Why not have a small lesson about the fandom? I will be the teacher."

Baymax plops down on the floor and waits patiently.

I facepalm and sigh. At least he'll be distracted and Karmi won't be bossy so much. I just hope Baymax learns to be quiet about certain things. Especially the ship name he came up with earlier.

Hiro possibly might regret letting me babysit Baymax because now I'm explaining all types of fandoms, including the ones me and Karmi love.

Though, one type of fanfiction that Baymax seemed to take an interest in and might actually enjoy were genuine stories. The innocent and family type stories. Possibly….the reason being is that Baymax probably notices the way Hiro misses his brother. Or maybe Aunt Cass and the gang.

"I don't mind having you around to talk about all this. There's (Y/n), though we tend to get into arguments about certain ships." Karmi clears her throat and groans, "What I'm trying to say is, you make me feel accepted at what I love to do."

Wow. I smile softly and glance at the front door where there's a few knocks. "Alright. It's time for Baymax to go."

"Right, right." She glares and points at Baymax, "Don't tell Hiro about any of this or what you've learned."

Baymax raises a hand then glances at it before slowly holding up a thumbs up and looks back at her.

I chuckle and gently pull Baymax along.

The front door opens and Hiro is standing there with a smile. "Hey! Hopefully Baymax didn't give you any trouble." He runs his neck nervously with a sheepish grin.

I wave a hand, "Nah. To be honest, he was quiet most of the time. Baymax was being the adorable robot he is."

Hiro hums, "I guess you can say that."

We watch Baymax step out into the hallway and get distracted by one of the neighbor's cat that scratched at the door to the owners home.

"I really am sorry for dropping him off like that." Hiro apologizes and shuffles his shoes nervously. His hand in his jacket pocket, seeming to be messing with something.

I lean on the door frame and shrug, "Hiro, it's fine. I love having Baymax around. He gives the best hugs, ya know."

"He does." Hiro smiles softly then gulps, "So would maybe want to hang out like tomorrow? I was helping Fred with something to do with Richardson and well, he gave me this coupon for a free meal for two at Noodleburgers--" He starts to ramble.

Gosh, he is just too predictable. I let out a breathless chuckle and I feel my cheeks are slightly warm. "Uh, how could I say no? If there's a chance to steal your food which might I say is free, then I'm up for it."

Hiro blinks at me then grins, "Of course. Typical." He rolls his eyes, "Well, we'll see who will steal who's food first. Wow, tongue twister there."

I laugh and blush more when Hiro laughs with me. "You are such a dork. See you tomorrow, Hiro." Wait...I see Baymax behind Hiro and on his screen are the words;

'I ship it.'

OH MY BAYMAX!!!

"HEY! Let me escort you and Baymax to the elevator!" I laugh loudly and nervously, yanking Baymax over to the end of the hallway. I press the button rapidly.

Seriously? Why are these things so slow?!

The doors open and I shove Baymax in then yank Hiro to face away from Baymax. "Okay! See ya!"

Hiro turns to see the words and tilts his head, "Baymax. What does, 'I ship it.' mean?"

I whine while sliding down the closed doors after hearing Hiro ask Baymax. "This is so embarrassing."

Baymax looks down at Hiro and pats his head, "Nothing."

The screen turns off and leaves a confused Hiro. Luckily, he doesn't question Baymax's usual behavior.
