"Morning." A voice greeted Dante as he walked down the hallway. Dante rubbed his eye lids, the plum skin still dropping down his face. He didn't get any sleep.

Dante looked over to his brother, Gene. "Oh, Moring big bro."

"How did you sleep?" The latter asked. At the moment Gene stood over the kitchen island, a coffee pot in his hand.

Dante groaned, walking over to him. "Funny you should ask." He said blankly, resting his elbows on the counter top.

"Hmm?" Gene asked, an eyebrow cocked. The ravenette poured the toffee colored licqid into a mug, acompanied by a puffy cloud of steam.

Dante rolled his eyes, slouching his shoulders. "I think I got maybe one hour of sleep?"

"Weird, I slept like a baby." Gene stated, taking a sip of his coffee followed by lick of his lips.

Dante furrowed his eyebrows, feeling moody. "Lucky you." He snapped.

Gene patted his brother's back, letting out a hearty laugh. "Come on, let's wake ya up."

"How?" Dante asked, blinking furiously in an attempt to awake his nerves, yet remained half asleep.

"Let's go on a hike!" He chuckled.

Dante frowned, "But Laurence hasn't even shown us around the area yet; don't you think we should wait?"

Gene scoffed, blowing a black strand of hair away. "You've got a point, so how about we race from here to that hill." Gene said, pointing out the window to the slope that sat in front of the house, a willow tree peacefully sitting on the grounds.

"Fine, let me get dressed."

Laurence stood between the two brothers a stop watch clicking in his hand. "Ready, Set, GO!" Laurence called out; making the two brothers bolt forward.

Dante and Gene sprinted towards the slope ahead of them. Their friends cheered as Dante pulled ahead of him, using all his strength. Gene leaped outwards, smirking a bit. Dante's eyes widened and he went faster.

But his foot got caught under something.

He faceplanted into the ground, while a root to the left of him sliced away his flesh on his hand.

Gene stopped and turned around, he raced towards his little brother, the gang following behind.

"Dante! What happened?" Aphmau asked, placing her hand onto his back and pulling him up.

The whole group gasped, the elder had a cut going from his chin to his nose and it was bleeding, badly.

"I tripped?" Dante answered. He didn't even feel any pain.

Laurence jumped forward, "Are you okay?!"

"Yeah, I mean i cut my hand but-"

"No! Your face!" Kim shouted. Dante cocked an brow, he cupped his cheek for a moment before looking at his hand. Blood.

Dante blinked, "Uh,"

Aphmau grabbed him by the arm, "Come on, let's get you back..." She whispered softly, leading everyone back into the house.

Aaron watched from the woods, his glistening red eyes watching intently. Katelyn sat by his side, her water made hair swaying in the wind. "I cannot wait much longer, Aaron."

Aaron's tail flickered. "In time, Katelyn, we must wait."

Katelyn slammed her fist, a puddle of water splashing up. "They must waken now!" She spat.

Aaron spat, "Wait, if their waken to early, death will fall upon them."

Katelyn scoffed, her hair falling down and dripping down her face. "Yes but-"

Aaron cut off the water pixe. "It will not be much be to longer, just wait until their wakener finds them."

Katelyn crossed her arms, "Hmph."

The gang arrived back at the house, everyone holding Dante. "Guys I promise, I'm fine."

Kim sniffed, "Non sense."

Dante rolled his eyes, "Yeah yeah, let me just get some band-aids and we can back to our day alright?"

Gene scoffed. "We'll see."
