It's Really You (S)

TW: Language/ANGST/Shipping ... Based on Yoglabs Hyercubed

Honeydew shrieked, the blackness suddenly engulfing him.

"Honeydew? Honeydew? Are you there?"

The voice was loud in his ear, crystal clear as if someone was right next to him.

"Xephos? Wh-what is this," the dwarf gasped, opening his eyes and looking at the room around him. What looked like obsidian encased the room, both the ceiling and floor being covered in water with identical glass pillars hanging from the ceiling and coming up from the floor, beautifully decorated with designs that looked handcrafted.

"Look, well, Yoglabs has been... ripped apart," the spaceman spoke, his voice much too calm for the current situation, although it wasn't like that was very unusual. If anything, it would've been strange if he was freaking out, or at least Honeydew thought of it that way.

"What do ya' mean 'ripped apart'," Honeydew questioned, cautiously taking steps forward on the glass. The sound of his shoes clicking on the delicate glass made him feel uneasy.

"Well," Xephos started with a sigh," I did say that there was a problem with the dimensional-"

"Lalna," the dwarf gasped, his eyes coming upon a glass case in the center of the room. Inside it, the blonde scientist stood, his body covered in the purple goop called "Flux" something that Honeydew had been taught was bad and evil.

"Wait- what?"

"I said, Lalna... Lalna is here."

There was a pause, hearing the intake of breath in his ear before Xephos spoke somewhat panicked. "What do you mean?"

"He's in this class case... it says: DANGEROUS CRIMINAL DO NOT RELEASE. That's just peculiar," the dwarf muttered under his breath, rubbing his hands on the fragile glass. He could easily break it...

"Oh god, you're in the uh... the Yoglabs reflecting pool," Xephos explained, his voice back to it's usual calm state.

"This isn't Yoglabs," Honeydew questioned, beginning to push into the glass a little bit harder. He might as well break it open and get his friend out.

"It's one of the... black parts of Yoglabs," the spaceman replied.

"Why have you got Lalna?" Honeydew began hitting the glass, attempting to break through the fragile thing. He was surprised at how easily it broke, shattering on impact and causing cracks to spread throughout the whole case.

"We... we had a problem with the psychopathic member of staff that we cloned too many times and we uh..."

"I just let him out," Honeydew exclaimed proudly, smiling at the scientist whose eyes fluttered open and examined the room around him.

"What? Why would you-"

"Lalna," the dwarf smiled happily, looking over the scientist who suddenly came back to life. He coughed, looking around at where he was, his eyes wide and his eyebrows furrowed.

"Honeydew," the scientist gasped, a happy smile crossing his face.

"Why... why have you woken him up," Xephos groaned disgruntled in the dwarf's ear, the sound of his voice making Lalna's eyes go wider.

"Xephos?!"

"H-hello, Lalna. Listen, we need you both to get back to where I am. If you open your quest log it should say you need..."

For the next two hours, the two worked out the puzzle of the room, completing the quest and eventually finding there way back to where the spaceman was staying. They both arrived at a place named the "Spacial Incubator" a nice sized room colored in black and white. Wires were strung everywhere, connected to machines that neither of them had ever seen before.

Lalna looked up, spying Xephos at the corner of the room, staring at them both with an irritated look on his face.

"It's... it's really you," Xephos sighed, looking the scientist up and down.

Lalna looked somewhat perplexed, although the look faded to a smile as he ran forward, making Xephos gasp as he wrapped his arms around the other man.

"Get- Get off of me you filthy space criminal," Xephos screamed, holding his hands up and trying to push the spaceman off of him.

"What are you-"

"I said get off," Xephos repeated, his voice angry and making Lalna back away like a scolded dog.

"I- I'm not a criminal," Lalna muttered, looking back at the dwarf with disbelief. "Xephos we were together d-do you not remem-"

"What are you on about! See, Honeydew! I told you he was insane! A criminal, I tell you," Xephos barked, staring pointedly at Honeydew who looked at both of them perplexed.

"Wait- Xephos I think I remember-"

"YOU REMEMBER NOTHING! NEITHER OF YOU," Xephos screamed, his face flushed staring between the two with fury.

There was a silence, the words that he spoke sinking into Lalna's head and making him feel cold and dirty inside, making him feel disgusting and ashamed.

"Now," he huffed. "If we ever want to get out of here, we must get to work."
