FBI (S)
TW: None
Tightening his black tie, straightening his black jacket, tilting his head side to side, Xephos began walking down the long, dull hallway. Checking in at reception, Xephos slowly made his way to his chief's office.
Being an FBI agent wasn't easy. It was anything but the superhero dream, the paperwork, long hours, overcoming the dreams and hopes easily. But it was a job Xephos loved. And the best part, he did it alone. No partner, only co-workers.
It wasn't a job to get attached to people, so Xephos was glad to work with only himself. He would occasionally need backup, but on smaller jobs, he was known for being ruthless against criminals.
"Xephos, enter." He heard a gruff voice call from inside the office. It was his Chief's, Ridge.
"What do I owe the pleasure, sir?'' Xephos smiled, leaning against the desk. It was obvious the bickering was meant to have no harm, but today was different.
''Xephos, straighten up!" Ridge hissed, looking towards the door which Xephos had left wide up. Removing himself from the desk, Xephos sheepishly cleared his throat.
"Ahem," Ridge directed the attention back to him. "Xephos, I think it's time for a change. You have a stake out planned for tonight-"
"That's great sir, but whats the change?'' Xephos interrupted, picturing the scene in his mind.
''Well, Xephos... That's kind of what I need to talk about-" Ridge started again, only to be interrupted by the intercom.
"Do you want me to send him in now, sir?" The voice sprung out, much to Ridge's dismay.
"Yes please, Nano." Ridge answered, looking back to Xephos, who was now looking a bit alarmed.
"Xephos, I know how you like to work alone, but-" Ridge began once again, this time interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Hello there..-" Came a unusually cheery voice. Xephos span around quickly, his eyes widen,
"Oh no..'' Xephos mumbled, but it was too late, the word was already said.
''Partner!" The man smiled, walking into the room, closing the door behind him.
"Are you serious, Ridge?'' Xephos murmured under his breath, leaning on the desk with both of his hands.
''Xephos, don't be rude. This is Sjin, he'll be joining you on your stake out tonight. And if things go well, we'll have to see!" Ridge exclaimed looking at both men. "Now, be on your way, the both of you!"

"So what kind of music are you into?'' Sjin asked.
Xephos rolled his eyes. They weren't even an hour into the stake out, and Xeph wanted to kill himself already. After hours of dread, Xephos sighed, finally looking at the good parts of this. Sjin wasn't that bad looking, and he was pretty funny. In fact, Xephos found himself a little bit flustered everytime they talked. It's not that bad, I guess. Xeph thought to himself, smiling slightly.
''I guess anything pop.'' Xephos replied. Looking over to Sjin, he could see him blushing a slight pink. Deciding to turn away before his own cheeks went on fire, Sjin spoke again.
''Xephos, I know you probably don't like me that much, but.. would you like to go to dinner with me?'' Sjin blushed, facing the window.
Facing the other window, Xephos was blushing just as much as a smile broke out on his face.
''Sure, Sjin."
