The third was Fiona, a sassy young woman. Like Kida, she learned how to defend herself. She was a shapeshifter like many of her aunts.

The fourth was Kayley. Like the previous two, she was skilled in fighting. Honestly, it was her favorite hobby. This explains why her power as a weapons master was so strong.

The fifth was Odette. She was the most skilled and graceful of the dancers. She was also a water elemental and drew power and energy from the moon.

The sixth and middle child was Anastasia and, like so many others, her fiery and sassy personality served her well. Her power was very unique as well since she could remove another's power and steal their energy with simply a touch.

The seventh and middle child was Esmeralda. She was a free spirit like their great grandmother and loved singing and dancing. Her power was already world renowned before she joined the gypsies.

The eighth child was Amalthea and she was just as spiritual as her great grandmother. Like her, she could see the future, talk to spirits, and, in addition, she could shapeshift into mystical creatures as well as had a spiritual connection to them such as unicorns, pegasi, and dragons.

The ninth was Elionwy and she was a child when the tragedy struck. Her powers were still developing but she showed great promise being partially fae.

The 10th was Irene and she showed great promise, being the most clever of her sisters. Her powers were mostly unknown but, considering she was the one named after the great grandmother that went missing, she was said to be one of the more powerful of her sisters.

The second youngest was Anne Marie and she was closest to animals. Her power consisted of talking to animals and having some control over them.

Finally, last but not least, was Primrose herself.

Over the years, the daughters lived a happy life. One day, on Primrose's first birthday, Andromeda gave her daughters a gift. She explained the story of the magical world she and her sisters visited every night. After that, her daughters went every night too.

Side story: The emperor had had an affair with another while still married which resulted in three daughters: Ting Ting, May, and Sue. After the deterioration of his marriage, he married their mother instead before moving back to China. Unfortunately, she died some years later.

The night of the accident, the entire family still living met at the palace for a celebration. (By now, Irene was reunited with the family.) During the party, a darkness descended on the palace and destroyed it. Many died. And the 12 dancing princesses were separated, not to be reunited until they found each other in the Underworld.
Meg ended up in Thebes where she would later make a deal with Hades to reunite her family. She later was saved from her deal by Hercules.
Kida was adopted by Kashekim and Atla, her long lost paternal grandparents. Unfortunately, her grandfather's stupidity caused him to lose his wife and nearly Kida too. She was luckily saved by Milo Thatch, one of the men who had come to find her lost civilization.
Fiona was adopted by her Uncle Harold and Aunt Lilian. But, when she showed one of her other forms, her Uncle became worried she was cursed and sent her away to await her Savior which came unexpectedly by Shrek.
Kayley was adopted by her Uncle Lionel and Aunt Juliana. Her Uncle died in the war, however, and caused her Aunt to worry greatly for Kayley because of her love of fighting. Kayley proved her wrong though and became a knight in King Arthur's service. When he showed himself to be unworthy, however, she and Garrett left and joined her cousin, Merida, instead.
Odette was adopted by her Uncle William who had no children of his own. She was one of the only daughters that was already promised to someone. Despite her dislike of Derek growing up, the tragedy brought them together and they were married later that year.
Anastasia was injured while trying to escape, causing her to catch amnesia. The remaining members of her family looked for her and she finally found one in the Empress Marie after being brought back to her by Demetri, a con man, and Vlad, a former member of the royal court. She fell in love with Demetri and they left France after she said her goodbyes to her grandmother.
Esmeralda was adopted by a group of gypsies and had to save France from an evil. She fell in love with, and married, the captain of the guard, Phoebus.
Amalthea was lost when she escaped and it's widely believed that she forgot parts of her life. She was found by a witch that attempted to use her for her carnival but she was rescued by the magician, Shemendrick, who took her in. While on the road, they met Molly who joined them to meet the king of the far away kingdom. There, Amalthea fell in love with Prince Lir who treated her with kindness. Together, they defeated his father and ran away to be safe.
Elionwy was taken in by her great grandmother Irene and fought the Horned King with her friend, Taran, who she later married.
Irene was taken in by King Erik, her Uncle. That fall, she and her friend, Curdie, stopped an uprising from evil goblins. They later married.
Anne Marie ended up in an orphanage where she was later adopted by a couple of dogs that used her as a plot for revenge but they grew to care for her.
As for Primrose, she was lost to the woods. A pack of wolves found her and took care of her for three days until a band of gypsies found her. Her story is a sad one where she continuously tries to help other people but it never ends up well for her and she never seems to get her happy ending with the boy she loves...until the Savior helps her.
