Backstory: Once upon a time in a magical realm where fairytales are real and dreams come true, a fair young maiden and a handsome man met and fell in love. From their happiness, a pair of beautiful baby girls were born: Snow White and Rose Red. But this fairytale is a bit different for the young maiden was a witch. That same spring, the man fell prey to something...dark. Believing that the witch enchanted him, he punished her by biting the younger sibling, Rose Red, and turning her into the monster he was but, before he could bite Snow White, their mother saved them. Knowing she could not save her youngest daughter and wishing not to separate them, she made a deal with a king and queen in the next kingdom. The king and queen had been cursed to never have children but, with the witch's blessing, they gladly took in Snow White and Rose Red, unworried of the younger one's curse. In return, they gave the girls their mother's last gift--a pair of amulets, a sun and moon respectively, to protect them before she disappeared into Wonderland. Years passed and the sisters were inseparable, growing up a fancy life in the palace. Unfortunately, tragedy befell the kingdom when the queen grew sick and supposedly died. The king was stricken with grief so much so that the kingdom worried he would soon follow. But the kingdom's prayers were answered when the king brought home a new queen, along with two beautiful daughters, Malvina and Giselle. For a time, the king, the mirror queen, Snow White, Rose Red, Malvina, and Giselle lived happily ever after. But it was not to be as a few months after the wedding, the king seemingly went mad as a plague swept through the land. The king ran into the forest and was never seen again. During the plague, the mirror queen trapped herself and the children in a tower for protection. While there, she treated her children better than her stepdaughters, eventually convincing them to take care of her as most of the maids and servants had died from the plague. Sometime later, the queen's huntsmen helped the sisters escape, warning them that once they escaped from the tower, they had to leave the kingdom and not return until they found a noble hero to save the kingdom. When they were just on the cities outskirts, a massive bear attacked them, alerting the queen. As they ran into the enchanted forest, the queen cast a curse to separate them for good. They got lost, wandering until they found themselves in two very strange lands, unaware that their story had just begun...
