Backstory: she was born in the court of nightmares and then brought to velaries when her mother pleaded with Rhys to take her daughter. Rhys took Athlea in when she was 10 and he was around 300. So she grew up with Rhys until he went under the mountain to save them. She then was watched by the rest of the inner circle. That's when the relationship slowly started forming between her and Azriel. Most of it was just a close friendship and their mating bond snapped into place when she reached 200. When Rhys got back from under the mountain she could tell he was not the same from before and he only confided in her about Feyre and what he had gone through for the 50 years. Right before Feyre was introduced and brought into the inner circle, Athlea was kidnapped by Eris and Beron. She had gone on a ride by herself where they ambushed her. She didn't know how to defend herself so she couldn't fight off a high lord and his son. She was held captive for 3 months before she managed to escape and Azriel found her when she ran through a clearing. That was the day that Azriel began to teach her how to defend herself. She had an ugly scare that was all the down from the valley between her breasts to her belly button and then smaller ones around her wrists from the restraints.
