"Another day, another rude encounter. My classmates don't appreciate any of the people's work that they must read and learn, along with the fact that they don't respect the teachers," I silently wrote in my brand new journal, clutching on to the pencil with my sore hands.

"It will be a long time until it will be over.. and that's why I'm trying to put all my effort into it so I don't mess up. My studies and essays are getting better." I thought for a minute, then resumed writing on the almost-filled-in paper.

"Besides all that nonsense, I do have some exciting news."

"Today, my mom bought tickets to SEVENTEEN's Thanks performance coming up in Seoul. I'm so happy. Maybe I'll get to stick around for the signing afterwards. It all depends on how long it lasts." I stopped writing to rest my throbbing wrist.

After a minute or two, I got back to finishing my diary entry. "You see, I have to go to bed early that day so I can wake up for school in time.. I have alot of work to catch up on." Once again, I set down my pencil and thought about what I should write down next.

Grabbing the pencil again, I heard my mom yell across the house, "Jang-Mi! Go to bed already! It's nearly midnight!"

I sighed as I realized I still had to do my night chores that I avoided earlier. "Okay, mom, I'll go to bed as soon as I'm done writing," I yelled back so she could hear.

"Anyway, I'm excited to go the concert. I'm still so surprised my mom bought the tickets, and that they weren't sold out." I smiled before writing the rest, "That's all for today. Jang-mi out!"

Content with what I wrote down, I picked up the tiny notebook and layed it alongside the headboard of my bed.

"Mom, where's the broom? It's usually in the utility room, but I can't find it!" I shouted down the stairs.

"I don't know! Try looking in the bathroom closet. You know your brothers misplace it all the time!" I heard her shout back.

"Okay," I said aloud as I ran through the hallway and opened the bathroom closet in an instant. Finding the broom leaning against the wall, I grab it and run to the kitchen to get my chores done.

After about thirty minutes of sweeping, washing dishes, putting up leftover food and clothes, I walk into my bedroom to change into my night-wear.

"Goodnight, mom!!" I yelled, making sure it was loud enough; as I pulled my blanket up to my neck and fell asleep.

"Maybe tomorrow will be a good day?"
