Jeno was in his cat form walking around the house like he owns it, well technically he sort of does but at the same time not.

Jaemin just got home from work and arrived with panic when he expected to see his hybrid somewhere in the house waiting for him, but instead saw no one.

Jeno didn't have a shift today, so he stayed home like what Jaemin hoped he would, it's not like he could roam around the city anyways. That's scary.

The alpha had growled thinking someone had took his beloved away from him and searched everywhere for any signs of Jeno.

Much to his relief and also almost losing out of control turning into his wolf form, he did found his mate.

The blond hybrid was indeed somewhere in the house, but specifically outside the house instead of inside.

Jeno was already in his cat form, he was stuck inside a bush with a few blooming flowers surrounding him as he was licking his paw.

Jaemin sighed in relief calling out for him to come inside the house since it's getting dark. Jeno just meowed as he backed up.

The alpha raised a brow, confused at his mate's actions. The hybrid blinked at him with his tail swaying gracefully side to side and his ears perked up.

The brunet, not knowing what to do, pursed his lips calling for the hybrid. "C'mere kitten," he cooed, "here kitty kitty kitty~" purring and making some weird tsk noises.

Dissatisfied, the hybrid stayed put and tried to catch a butterfly passing by as he jumped in the air before falling back down on the grass as he rolled over.

Jaemin finally using his brain and thought about something, he lowers his voice and lets out his pheromones. "Kitten, c'mere boy~" he called.

Jeno snaps his head towards him ignoring the butterfly flying above as it landed on his nose. He crossed eyed to look at the insect on his nose before sneezing as it flew away.

Jaemin calls again as Jeno turns his attention back to the alpha, he tilts his head sniffing making his ears twitched and his tail swaying happily at the scent of smoking campfires and pine trees.

He meowed and walks over to the brunet who held his hands out for him, the hybrid sniffs his finger before jumping in his arms snuggling close with a purr.

The alpha grins triumphantly as he carries the cat inside the house and heads to the kitchen and places his formed mate on the counter.

"Have you eaten, baby?" He asked earning a meow with big doe eyes and the pupils slightly dilated looking at him.

He sighed, "why are you in your cat form, darling? You don't usually do this unless something is up, what's wrong?" He asked.

Jeno meowed again as he nuzzles his head on Jaemin's forearm as the latter was placing both of his palms on the counter with the hybrid in the middle as if he was trapping the boy- or well, cat.

The hybrid purred continuously as Jaemin sighed scratching the cat's ears with his free hand and smiled when Jeno's tail curled around his wrist.

"Kitten, I can't really understand you if you're in this form, can you please go back to human form?" The werewolf asked.

The cat meowed and hopped off the counter strutting behind the kitchen island with his tail and hips swaying both sassily and seductively as he hid.

A few moments later, a familiar blond boy stood up from behind the kitchen island to whereas the cat went but disappeared.

Jeno smiles shyly before skipping back towards Jaemin as he hugged him with his ankle bracelet jingling in every movement he makes.

The alpha chuckled and pecks his forehead before lifting him up the counter, "have you eaten, kitten? Sorry alpha was late, he had work to do." He said.

Jeno meowed, again. He squishes his cheeks against Jaemin's neck sniffing his mate's scent as he purred.

The brunet was confused, why was Jeno not verbal? Did he forgot how to talk? What happened while he was gone? Why is he scenting him?

"Babe?" Jaemin called lifting the boy's chin up as he earned himself a meow. "What's happening, darling?" He asked very confused.

The hybrid shrugs, "no hungy, kitten full," he mumbled and wraps his arms around Jaemin's neck ordering the brunet to lift him up.

The alpha did so without hesitation as he leads them to his bedroom, somehow, when he and Jeno sat down on the bed, the blond was spacing off.

Jaemin furrowed his eyebrows, what in the hell is happening?

The hybrid's eyes changed before shaking his head hastily and blinks three times and looks at Jaemin.

"What happened?" Jeno asked a bit confused on the events that occurred while he was somewhere in another world.

The alpha pursed his lips pausing, "you don't remember?" He asked the blond as the latter shook his head dumbfounded. "You were in your cat form, and you were like non verbal and stuff."

The hybrid widens his eyes before mentally face palming himself at his stupidity, he sighed and looks at his mate's concerned face.

"Let's forget what happened," he said as he scooted closer when Jaemin was a bit baffled at his words, "it's nothing to worry about." He shrugged.

The brunet hummed and ran his fingers through his hybrid's blond hair making the boy purr affectionately.

"Oh! I have something to show you," Jaemin said suddenly as he stood up and pecks his mate's nose when he saw the boy tilt his head.

He walks over to the walk in closet taking something there for a moment before rushing back inside his room.

Jeno tilts his head as his tail was laid on his lap as he caressed it himself shivering at his own fingers running through his white fur.

"What's this?" He asked when Jaemin hands him out a little purple paper bag and saw a glimpse of something in the brunet's hand before the boy hid it behind him.

Jaemin mouths at him to open it with a gesture as he soon followed. He opens the paper bag and gasps with his eyes widening as it shined bright from the moonlight.

The alpha grins when he saw the hybrid lifting the gift up in the air with his small hands and his face so surprised yet cute.

"Like it?" He asked and earned a nod from the blond who broke into a smile.

"I love it!" Jeno exclaimed happily, "wait- where and when did you get this?" He asked.

Jaemin shrugs putting on an identical yet different colored one of Jeno's gift around his neck and locked it with a key as he sat down lifting his mate up onto his lap kissing his cheek.

"When we went to the mall a few weeks ago," he said as Jeno was eyeing his gift and the similar one around Jaemin's neck. "I made us match," he grinned.

The hybrid blushed as Jaemin asked if he wanted to put it on, he responded with a shy nod and gives his gift to his mate.

Once Jaemin locked it, he admires the gift around Jeno's neck with a proud smile on his face, "perfect," he whispered kissing his mate's temple longingly.

Jeno smirked, "purrfectly," he giggled at his own joke as Jaemin rolled his eyes with a smile before tickling the blond on the bed.

The two filled the room with giggles as Jeno added squeals when Jaemin chased him around before they got tired and fell asleep cuddling close.
