Jeno was at the daycare taking care of the kids. Despite doing this for years, he was unfortunately tired for the past few weeks, he had to walk his way to work instead of getting a ride.

Jaemin didn't wait nor let him get in the car, he just drove off to his work leaving Jeno behind at the house not knowing what to do.

It was scary walking alone in the streets, Jeno wasn't used to being alone especially in public. He would always have either of the boys to go with him, being a hybrid is scary enough especially since he's a cat.

Being an omega is just adding to his worry since there's a lot of alphas around the daycare he works at. He could still smell the strong pheromones from inside the daycare even though there's just a few of his coworkers that are alphas.

He was tired but enjoyed the day nonetheless, he packs up his things and walks out shivering at the cold breeze touching his skin. He cuddles close to his coat as he sees a few people out.

He begins to walk faster when he saw a few guys looking at him intensely before following him. His breath hitches when one of them from behind called, "hey, come here."

His heartbeat fastens as he breaks into a sprint to Jaemin's house. He hears their footsteps coming closer and he panics, the white haired boy sees the gate and rushes in.

He shrieks when one of them grabs his arm, he tears up from fear as he felt like this was it. He shuts his eyes and waited for them to do something.

Until another hand grabs his arm and pulls his back, he sobs quietly as he could smell their scents. All of them were alphas, strong vicious alphas.

Except, one particular scent was very familiar. "Back off," a stern voice spoke as Jeno felt the hand gripping him tightly and pulling him to the person's side.

Now that voice was familiar, Jeno opens his eyes when he heard footsteps disappearing meaning the strangers had actually backed off. He looks up and saw Jaemin glaring at the figures in the dark.

Oh, no wonder the scent of smoking campfires and pine trees were familiar. Jaemin's scent was the only one Jeno was familiar with a while ago. Damn nose didn't cooperate.

Jaemin huffs and drags Jeno by the arm towards inside the house. The werewolf turns to him and smacks his side, "fucking cat, why the hell did you lure them here?!" He shouts.

Jeno flinches as his ears flattens on his head while his tail freezes and puffs out, "I-I'm s-sorry," he mumbles as he felt something weird in his lower part.

Jaemin growls, "why the fuck do you have to be so annoying? Could've called me to pick you up instead of almost getting raped, use your brain!" He glares.

The hybrid whimpered before he felt a wet feeling on his crotch running down to his legs. Suddenly Jaemin widens his eyes as Jeno looked down with a gasp.

He was peeing. Great, now Jaemin's going to get even more mad at him. Why couldn't he just not pee when he was scared?

The hybrid closes his thighs together and covered his crotch trying to stop the urine from coming out. He cries as it didn't stop and fell down to his knees.

The werewolf groans, "now you made a mess! Clean it up!" He said and goes around the hybrid before heading to sit on the couch.

Jeno sniffles as he slowly stood up with wobbly legs and heads to the storage room where the mop was. He comes back with a bottle of alcohol and cleans the mess. Well specifically his mess.

The hybrid finishes and heads to his room to change from his soaked pants.

He didn't have any sweatpants right now, all of them were in the laundry so he just decided to wear his shorts. He liked shorts more anyway, so he didn't mind.

The hybrid checks the time and sighs, it was time for dinner. Meaning he had to cook for his and Jaemin's meal alone, it was a usual routine of theirs now since the others moved out.

Jeno heads downstairs and immediately sneaks to the kitchen as he begins to cook some pasta with some sauce for dinner. He hums to a tune quietly, Jaemin doesn't like being bothered so he obeyed to that rule.

His tail swaying side to side as his ears were twitching here and there from the sound of the pots and even a few owls from outside.

He finishes and eats quietly as he waited for Jaemin. The alpha comes in not long after and sits across from him, he takes a bite and hums in satisfaction while the hybrid kept his gaze on the plate.

They ate quietly and finishes their meal, Jaemin wipes his mouth with a tissue neatly while Jeno used his tongue. The latter stood up and hesitantly grabs the werewolf's plate along with his.

The white haired goes to the sink and cleans their dishes while Jaemin just went back to his place on the couch finishing up some paper work.

Jaemin groans on the first thing in the morning, he quickly gets ready and heads downstairs to see the cat hybrid finishing up his coffee.

He walks over and takes it as Jeno kept a distance between them as he cleaned the dishes. Once they both finished, the two heads to the door as Jaemin grabs his keys.

The alpha gets in his car and was about to drive off, he then sees Jeno walking out the gate with his shoulders slumped and looking like he was trying to hide in his clothes.

"I told you to take care of him Jaemin, not just the aftermath of something, I meant like to prevent him and treat him after the event."

"Who cares Renjun? He's not my mate."

"I care! He may be not your mate but he's a hybrid, specifically a cat. It's dangerous for him Jaemin, anything could happen."

"He can manage."

"No he can't, a cat hybrid is fragile, more than a normal omega werewolf is. They have more needs and one of those is a mate."

"I told you, I won't be his mate–"

"But atleast try to be decent Jaemin. You're scaring him, He's like a brother to me. Be his mate or not but just please protect him while we can't."

"Whatever Renjun, I'll do it for your guys' sake but that doesn't mean–"

"Great thanks Jaemin! Please protect him and I'm fucking serious about this. Enjoy your journey on protecting him."

"It won't be enjoyable for both of us."

"Whatever you say Na! Bet you'll fall for the cat hybrid and make him your mate, loser."

"Shut the fuck up Haechan. And I'll bet you that I surely won't"

"Bet is on dog,"

"Babe, you're a dog too,"

"Shit."

Jaemin rolled his eyes remembering the conversation with Renjun and Haechan from last night.

He stops at the gate as he rolls the window down and honks making the hybrid jump up a bit too high and his tail puffing out while his ears were straight as he shook.

"Get in," Jaemin sternly said without any explanation. The hybrid stood there for a while until the alpha glared, "can't you hear? Use the damn ears, cat. Get in the car and I'll drive you to the daycare."

Jeno blinks before rushing in to the passengers seat and puts his seatbelt on as Jaemin drives off to his workplace first.

He really wants to ask why the alpha wants to drive him there all of a sudden. But he also knows the alpha is in a rush and also has a short temper with him. So he kept quiet and behaved himself.

Once they arrived, Jeno steps out as Jaemin looks at him, "contact me when you're done, I'll pick you up." The hybrid nodded obediently without further questions. I mean, it's better than walking home alone anyways.
