Lagu Blackbird termasuk ke dalam album Beatles "White Album" yang dirilis tahun 1968. One of my fav songs from Beatles, diciptakan oleh Paul Mc Cartney.

Dalam sebuah konser solo akustiknya di Dallas, Amerika Serikat 2002 lalu, legenda hidup The Beatles tersebut sedikit menceritakan dari mana inspirasi lagu Blackbird berasal.

"Yang akan saya nyanyikan sekarang ditulis di era 60-an dimana sedang banyak masalah tentang hak-hak sipil terutama di daerah selatan Amerika. Saya tak tahu Anda tahu apa tidak, di Inggris terkadang kami memanggil gadis-gadis dengan 'burung'. Saya menulis lagu ini berdasarkan itu," ujar Paul McCartney membuka lagu Blackbird.
