Be sensitive to God's words

The Lord calls Samuel:

☆ Then the Lord called Samuel,
and he said, "Here I am!" and ran to Eli and said, "Here I am, for you called me."

But he said, "I did not call; lie down again."

So he went and lay down.

☆ And the Lord called again, "Samuel!"

and Samuel arose and went to Eli and said, "Here I am, for you called me."

But he said, "I did not call, my son; lie down again."

○ Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord , and the word of the Lord had not yet been revealed to him.

☆ And the Lord called Samuel again the third time.

And he arose and went to Eli and said, "Here I am, for you called me."

Then Eli perceived that the Lord was calling the boy. Therefore Eli said to Samuel, "Go, lie down, and if he calls you, you shall say, 'Speak, Lord , for your servant hears.'

So Samuel went and lay down in his place.

1 Samuel 3:4‭-‬9

Lesson learnt :

1) To begin with, if we are in the position of Samuel and thought Eli calling manytimes but did not reveal anything. What will be our thought process? It may lead us to short temper and might shouted and fight back like ' I have heard its you, whom have called me. Tell what?'. Instead here Samuel has shown out his patience and temperance.

2) Our God is so gentle. He never compells anybody and speaks or reveals his plan. Instead that first acknowledgement or approval from our side is very important to him. Untill we accept he never push us to know his will. So be sensitive to God's words.

Amen
