The glow that's radiating off her skin is enough to tell anyone that she's the bride. Her smile alone shows how happy she is with the marriage. Despite the fact that she doesn't have a family, she's not worried at all, not one bit. She's contented and happy with the family her husband to be has provided her with.

Looking in the mirror Lash's smile widens, even wider than a grin. She feels and looks extremely beautiful, happy and contented. Today is the daurin aure. Today she'll finally experience the happiness of a bride, a married woman.

Her wedding events have been the talk of Abuja for the past two weeks. Instagram, snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube you name it. The wedding is trending on very social media platform; AiNayn is all over the web. Hussaina took it upon herself to see to it that the whole world knows about her brother's wedding. She created an Instagram and Twitter account and tag with the hashtag #AiNayn making sure to post every tiny bit of the wedding on all social media platforms.

The weddings has had seven events with just two more left before she'll be conveyed to Zulqa's house. She put her house on lease so she can be getting money yearly from the house.

The first event they had was the bridal shower which was a girls only event. Lash didn't have any real friends but when she came back to Zulqa's parent's house for the wedding preparations, she got close to Zulqa's cousins so they are now very good friends. They attended her bridal shower as her friends.

The place used for the bridal shower was the parlor downstairs in Zulqa's house. It was an evening party merged with a slumber party and a sleepover. The first part of it was the part where they all wore green evening gowns, ate cakes, danced, took pictures, streamed live on Instagram and TikTok among others.

The second part was the slumber party. It was a part where they had a trip down memory lane, with Lash sitting down listening to all of Zulqa's embarrassing and cute moments. There was one that stuck itself in her head; Zulqa went to propose to a Tanzanian lady who slapped him afterwards. It was hilarious.

The third part was the sleep over was where they watched a movie called Life In A Year. Most of them cried with the exception of two of Zulqa's cousins - Zaina and Amisha -, Lash and Halima.

The second event was a general dinner which was conducted in Abuja conference center. It was called General because she invited all her Instagram, Twitter and YouTube fans. Famous photographer, Big H covered the event on video and it's all over Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.

The third event was the sakun lalle which literally means application of henna. It is an event whereas the bride has henna applied to her hands and feet in the presence of all her female friends and family members. She gets hers applied first before anyone else's. Lash's henna is beautiful as it was applied by the famous henna artist that's all over Instagram, Hauwa. But they didn't agree on allowing her apply henna for anyone else. Just Lash since she's the bride.

The fourth event was the Fulani day which was conducted in Zulqa's favor. He's Fulani so they had a Fulani day where Lash was dressed in a beautiful blue with black designs fulani top and wrapper while Zulqa's sisters who'd served as her sisters wore white Fulani tops and wrappers with red and blue Fulani embroidery on it. Their makeup was topnotch. Zulqa on the other hand wore the exact same thing Lash did just that his was a top and trouser.

Lash had a big wrapper which was the same material with what she was wearing tied into a turban on her head then another bigger one as a veil. Zulqa had the traditional Fulani cap too. They - Lash and Zulqa - entered the venue which was decorated in the traditional Fulani theme with Halima, Hassana, Hussaina and Qifdiyya tailing behind them all holding calabashes filled with fresh whole milk which Fulani call kindirmo and another traditional food made with millet called fura.

Lash sat beside Zulqa and the event started. Towards the end, Lash fed Zulqa the Kindirmo and fura and he did the same too.

The fifth event was the kauyawa day which they decided to call Hausawa day. It was conducted in favor of Lash because even though she's not entirely sure, she believes she's Hausa by tribe.

Zulqa wore the traditional white cloth which allows the hands and sides of the torso exposed, with a long trouser while Lash wore a purple atampa sewn into an oversize blouse and a wrapper. They sat on a raised platform with all the other ladies wearing a the same colors of atampa and white tops. The ladies all danced to the gada beat and sang songs like salo, yar budule, godiya and more.

The sixth event was the walimah which is an event whereby the wife to be is dressed up in an Islamic fashion with attendance of any female that can attend. There, a female Islamic scholar is invited and she preaches all about the dos and don'ts of marriage and whatever the bride should know.

During their own walimah, Zulqa and his friends were also in attendance because according to Umma, not just the wife needs to be preached to. The man also needs to have sense knocked into his skull. Lash wore a peach atamfa which has coffee highlights and milk patterns while Zulqa wore a peach Kaftan with matching peach Babban Riga which has heavy coffee embroidery. Her makeup was kept to the absolute minimal so it was done by one of Zulqa's cousins, Zannah. Lash literally cried at the walimah no one knows the reason why though. She just kept it all to herself.

The seventh event was the Kamu, this was originally a females only event but they twisted theirs a bit. It was initially supposed to be an event whereby the bride and her friends and cousins would enter the venue first and the bride would sit on the platform and then the groom's aunts would request to see their bride. But they won't be allowed to unless they pay the amount of money the bride's side request for. Once the money is paid, the aunts will spray the bride with perfume and give her gifts and then like every other event food will be shared and people would dance.

But during theirs, after Zulqa's aunties had paid and all, Zulqa came inside the wedding hall and gave her his own gift. It was beautiful.

"Ya Lash what are you still doing in there? It's tied and Ya Zulqa is on his way here with his friends." Lash is jerked out of her train of thoughts by Hassana's voice.

Hurriedly, she zips up her gown and comes outside so that she can get her headgear tied. She has had her makeup done already and all that is left is the headgear.

"Finally, we thought you had disappeared from the face of the earth!" Hussaina says and Farha nods.

"Quit being over dramatic." Lash rolls her eyes and the makeup artist starts to work her magic. Within the span of eight minutes, she's done and Lash is ready. Just as she slips on her stiletto, Qifdiyya comes inside the room.

"Is she ready, Ya Zulqa is here and Umma is coming here." Qifdiyya looks at Lash and she shouts. Lash is wearing a black lace with white circular designs sewn into a fitted gown with a closed slit at the back that accentuates her very prominent curves. A part of the lace is sewn from the left side of the gown to the middle at the back where the zip is making it look like a wrapper. Another detachable part made of numerous large pleats sewn tight together is tied around the lower bust area. The neck is in a v-shape exposing a little bit of her cleavage.

Her headgear is tied in one of most explicit and sophisticated designs.

"Ya Zulqa is gonna faint once he sees you!" Lash smiles.

"If he doesn't faint sef, he's going to go mad! God dey create abeg. See how she's beautiful. Beauty choke!!!" Everyone laughs at Farha's remark.

"Aisha dear, are you done?" Umma asks from the other side of the door and Qifdiyya drapes the black and white veil with laffaya - a traditional Kanuri cloth that is tied like a Saari - designs. Hussaina drags Lash's stilettos and place them in front of Lash. She steps into them and Umma opens the door.

"My daughter is beautiful. That boy is sure lucky to have you." Umma says blowing some Du'as over Lash's head.

"Come, your husband is waiting downstairs." Umma takes a hold of Lash's hands and they both walk downstairs.

"We want just five hundred thousand. It's not much." Halima says rolling her eyes at Zulqa's friends and her male cousins.

"Can't you guys manage a hundred thousand?" One of the guys groans from behind.

"Oh well. It seems you're not ready. Let's take our bride upstairs with us." Halima turns and takes Lash's hands urging her to stand up.

"Are you being serious right now? Halee, when did you start supporting our opponents?" Another of Zulqa's cousins comes closer attempting to use his charm on Halima. He's surely handsome.

"Quit the act Khalid. We both know you just want to talk to me." Halima rolls her eyes and scoffs.

"You guys should quit the act and just propose to each other. It's obvious you're deeply in love with each other. So stop wasting our time, pay us our money and take your love elsewhere." Qifdiyya said not even raising her head from her phone.

After alot of arguments, the groom's friends finally paid five hundred thousand naira. They leave the groom and his wife alone.

Immediately Zulqa hears the sound of the gate finally being closed, he opens Lash's face, gazing straight into her soul. The next thing he does surprises her. He kisses her long and hard, as she kisses him back with the same passion and love.

"I love you my wife. I love you so much." Zulqa says and carries her bridal style to the master bedroom, afterall she's a bride. He lays her down on the bed and assists her in taking off the heavy dry lace which she's wearing.

"I love you. I love you more than I want to believe." Lash says after Zulqa has switched off the lights. This night, they share nothing but love and lust. Lash has never been this happy. At least she has gotten her prince charming in shining white kaftan.

After they have consummated the marriage, Lash lays down, with a happy smile on her face, she's feeling pain but the happiness has overshadowed the pain. She's married to the love of her life, to the one who owns her heart and everything else.

As Zulqa drags Lash to him, she burries her head in his chest and they stay like that till they both fall asleep.

This is what love should feel like, no high expectations, no worries, nothing. Just two breaths mingling with each other and a breath of fresh air and live mixed with happiness.
