18. I'm Sorry
"Well, it's quite risky, dangerous, time taking and almost impossible to take out but it'll worth it. I'll leave for Santorini before those people are back. Once they're back, I'll leave and get everything under control there so that I can come here and execute our plan." Aleesha says with an evil grin.
"Yes. Now go start getting ready to get your man back!" Lash exclaims excitedly.
"Habeebtee please listen to me. Come out, I'm sorry I accused you of something so disgusting. I wasn't in my right senses. My mind went blank immediately I saw you in that position. Please Habeebtee listen to me." Sa'eed pleads. Unknown to him, Halima has already fainted. She's unconsciously laying on the floor.
"Habeebtee please open this door. If not I'll break it down." Sa'eed says in an extremely low yet dangerous tone.
He goes to the store room and picks a hammer. Standing in front of the room he shares with Halima, he hits the hammer countless times on the door where the lock is. He keeps on hitting it for almost fifteen minutes before the lock breaks and the door opens.
Sa'eed sights Halima laying unconscious on the floor. His heart breaks at the sight as he drops the hammer with a thud on the floor breaking a tile in the process. He rushes to her and starts checking her pulse and heart beat. She's not breathing and he can't feel her pulse, her heart is beating at an extremely slow pace.
Sa'eed quickly picks Halima up and places her on the bed. He makes a call and enters the bathroom. Rubbing her feet and palms, Sa'eed sprinkles water on Halima's face. She still lays unconscious.
"Assalamu Alaikum." A voice booms from outside the room making Sa'eed rush out.
"Ameen wa alaikas salam. Please come, my wife is unconscious. I just met her laying unconscious on the floor." Sa'eed says intentionally skipping the part of shouting at her and accusing her. The doctor doesn't have to know about their family tribulations.
"Okay. Let's go." The man in a white knee length cloth with pockets at the thigh and another by the chest waltzes into the room and can't help but rake his eyes up and down Halima's body, which doesn't go unnoticed by Sa'eed who just clenches his fists.
"Can you excuse us while I examine her?" The doctor says licking his lips, still eye raping Halima.
"No, she's my wife so I don't think there's any need for me to excuse you. Even if there is, I'm not going anywhere." Sa'eed stubbornly says sitting close to Halima and taking her cold pale hands in his.
"Okay." The doctor answers dejectedly and starts examining Halima.
"Is she asthmatic?" The doctor asks.
"No."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"Has she inhaled any smoke, or unhealthy gas?"
"I don't think so."
"Does she suffers from any heart disease?"
"No."
"Well, I guess you should bring her along with you to the hospital because I don't have the right equipments to examine her well enough to know what's wrong with her. But it's either she was choked, she's asthmatic or she suffers from a heart disease." The doctor says shoving his stuff back into his briefcase.
"And you have to be fast about taking her to the hospital. Her life is dangling on a worn out thread." The doctor says just as his phone rings. He picks it up and groans.
"I need to be at the hospital. My colleague is busy with a surgery and I'm needed. You can bring her to the hospital and I'll have a female doctor examine her thoroughly, then, you can pay me." The doctor says rushing out with Sa'eed tailing behind him.
"Okay. Can you wait here while I place her in my car?" Sa'eed asked touching his pockets in a bid to look for his keys.
"Yes, the hospital is a fifteen minutes drive from here. We have thirty minutes and my patient is being stabilized, do hurry up." The doctor says taking a look at his iWatch.
"Okay." Sa'eed rushes out. He picks Halima and places her on his shoulders as he rushes out to his car. He imagines Halima rolling her eyes at him.
"What a romantic and cliché husband I have. You know cliché is actually cute right?" Halima would've said. Sarcasm would've been dripping off of her first sentence.
Sa'eed Abba Sulayman! She isn't dead! She's just unconscious so stop thinking about her like she's dead!
He shakes his head to clear his head of all thoughts. He balances her on his shoulder as he opens his car. He opens the back seat and sits her there, securing her roughly with a seat belt to avoid any more injuries if she happens to fall.
He drives over to the said hospital by following the doctor's car. They reach the hospital and he immediately removes his key after making sure the car isn't on. He opens the back seat and carries Halima the same he did when he was bringing her to the hospital.
He balances her and locks the car the same way he did when he was bringing her to the car. Turning around, he's met with three nurses with the name tags Tiffany, Queen and Wendy respectively. A female doctor arrives shortly with the nametag Miss Radford. Seems like almost all the staffs are Christians.
They take Halima from him and place her on a stretcher before wheeling her to the emergency unit with Sa'eed tailing absent-mindedly beside the stretcher.
He stays outside knowing fully well he won't be allowed into the emergency room. He looks at the twin mirror door.
"I'm sorry Halima. I really am."
"You must be very stupid. Inept fool. My friend tashi ki bar min gida. How dare you show your stupid face in my house despite what you did?" Alhaji AbdulMajid thunders as he throws out her clothes she had arranged in the wardrobe.
Alhaji AbdulMajid and Hajiya Aisha came back three weeks earlier only for the gate to be opened by Aleesha. That angered Alhaji AbdulMajid who locked Hannah up while she was asleep. The doors are soundproof so she wouldn't hear a thing, moreover, Hannah is a deep sleeper.
"Haba Daddy. Can't a daughter visit her parents that disowned her?" Aleesha asks smiling evilly.
"Over my dead body. You're not my daughter and will never be. I never birthed a rapist. Better go and look for your parents elsewhere. Oya leave my house." Alhaji AbdulMajid yells pointing at the black with specks of gold electric gate.
"Alhaji! She's your daughter fah. Whatever she did, whomever she did it to, she's still your daughter." Hajiya Aisha mutters moving closer to place her hand on Aleesha's shoulders who scoffs and stops her hands from touching her shoulders.
"Abeg Hajiya Aisha I don't need you to back me up. Ki rike kayanki, I don't need it." Aleesha sneers.
"Aleesha I'm your mother!" Hajiya Aisha exclaims looking unbelievably at her daughter.
"Was Hajiya Aisha, was. So please..." Aleesha says and start taking steps towards Alhaji AbdulMajid who looks at her with disdain.
"Oyo is your case Aleesha. Kinga tafiyata." Hajiya Aisha says shaking her head pitying herself for foolishly trying to defend her daughter.
"Tafi nono fari." Aleesha clicks her tongue and sneers.
"Keh Aleesha you don't have respect again koh? After all what your mother did to you abun da zaki saka mata dashi kenan?" Alhaji AbdulMajid asks unbelievably. He can't believe he birthed this girl.
"Wai Daddy what did I do ne nikam?" Aleesha pouts.
"Har kina ma da bakin tambaya na? You attempted to rape your own sister, you stole money countless times, you wanted to become a stripper, a pornstar and you still have the guts to stand in front of me and look me in the eye and ask me this? Wow! You must be very stupid, deranged to say the least." Alhaji AbdulMajid hisses.
"Daddy, that's in the past. I've done way worse things." Aleesha says smiling making Alhaji AbdulMajid shake his head.
"I detest the day you came to this world Aleesha. I've already told you I'm not your father anymore but I guess i have to repeat it. I rid you of being my daughter and a member of this family. As from today, your name isn't Aleesha AbdulMajid." Alhaji AbdulMajid says and Aleesha laughs before walking out of the house, packing her clothes. This isn't what she wanted, but she can't ignore the fact that she was willing to teach her sister how to pleasure herself.
