I returned to harem enthusiastic after I have spent the most beautiful night with Iskender. But after seeing Miran Kalfa I got back to reality and realised why they have sent me here. After meeting Iskender I didn't even want to do this, and I hoped Dilruba won't be after me so quickly.

I came into the Harem where all the girls awaited for me and asked me so many questions about how was with Iskender. I didn't want to talk a lot because I knew gossips about me have already started how I stayed with him until the morning, because he usually drow off concubines.

"Tonight it's my turn Efsun Kalfa said," Asubcan said interrupting my happiness and letting me back to reality that what has happened might be only for one night and never again. Maybe Iskender won't call for me anymore.

I didn't even answer at anything Asubcan said I just smiled to her because I had nothing else. I shouldn't even develop any kind of affection towards Iskender because that wouldn't bring me any good in the place where I was supposed to get rid of him.

"What are those?" Asubcan asked as Bulbul Agha together with other servants started to bring big boxes through the harem. Everyone came around them but they just continued to walk towards the upper floor.

"Those are gifts Sultan has sent to Bezmialem Hatun, and also he is moving you to favourites ring," Efsun said and smiled to me. I followed her upstairs to my new room while all the other girls started commenting about me. But it wasn't my fault I got the opportunity on the first day here to meet Iskender and become his favourite.

I entered the favourites room but what I saw was that there were two bed already and a woman was sitting there. When I looked at her better I could recognise Sureyya Hatun.

"You are bringing Sultan's gifts to me?" Sureyya asked as servants placed all the boxes in the middle of the room and she started to open them were I could see plenty of dresses and jewelry.

"Don't touch that, it is not for you," Efsun Kalfa yelled on her and Sureyya stepped back. I saw everyone is afraid of Efsun and to me she didn't seem like that, she was kind to me but at the end I have been here for two days only and I couldn't know the reality how is she.

"Then for who it might be?" Sureyya asked.

"It is for Bezmialem, now you two are sharing those chambers. I don't want any troubles Sureyya," Efsun said and Sureyya started measuring me from head to toe with so much of anger.

"I thought our Sultan has a taste but since you are his favourite I don't think like that anymore," Sureyya said looking at me for the whole time. It wasn't enough for her how she started fighting almost because we arrived to harem, now she wants to make me even more problems here as I didn't have enough of them.

"I could say the same thing for you Sureyya, but I am not like that to offend you. We are all in his harem and what can we do. Tonight Asubcan is also going there, so she will also join the favourites wing, even though you couldn't accept the fact Sultan will want someone else beside you," I said and my words were bitter for her and hurt her proudness. Fact that Asubcan is going to visit Sultan tonight also hurted me a bit, but I didn't want to say this to myself.

"Bezmialem Hatun, you should prepare," Efsun Kalfa came inside once again which made both Sureyya and me surprised. I looked at Efsun.

"Sultan wants to see you again tonight," she said and around my heart was so warm and I didn't know why I started gaining so much affection towards Iskender when I wasn't supposed to.

"Be careful, we will share this chambers. Don't mess with me because I could be your end here," Sureyya said as she came in front of me trying to make me afraid, but she didn't know that nothing can make a child who has been captured by pirates and sold on slavery market afraid.

"We will have to see only by days, because you see Sultan wants to spend nights with me. You will sleep here alone," I said to her kinda wanting to provocate her even more while I was hurrying to get ready for tonight.

"Hurry up Bezmialem Hatun, we don't have whole day to get you ready," Efsun said as she has awaited for me in hamamm and I was late because I had to provoke Sureyya. I couldn't listen to someone complain to me or threat me if I don't return it, because my life taught me for that. While I was in hamamm I saw Miran Kalfa standing at the edge and I didn't feel comfortable while she was in my presence because I knew she will tell everything to Davut and Dilruba.

"And I don't want you to fight with Sureyya, she is annoying and I can't stand her but you know that women are ready to do everything when they are jealous," Efsun said while I was washing myself and my hair.

"I am not afraid of her. I suffered many worse things in my life and Sureyya is nothing to me," I said splashing myself with cold water.

"Only thing you need to do is to be kind to her and not to start the fights. I don't know what is going through her head, but I am in Harem for 15 years and I have seen so much what women are ready to do when they are jealous," Efsun said.

At that moment a maid came and said something silently into Efsun's ear and then went away from hammam. Efsun looked at me and then noticed Miran is standing in the corner for the whole time.

"While you are here Miran Kalfa listening to us you should go and get Bezmialem's outfit because Safiye Sultan wants to meet her before she goes to Sultan," Efsun said and Miran nodded and I was surprised.

"Why does Safiye Sultan wants to meet me?" I asked Efsun confused. I didn't do anything special to be noticed by her only that I have spent one night with her son and he is calling me for the second time today. I was worried if she knows something about Davut's plan and I didn't want her to throw me away from harem now.

"She is his mother, she must know who is he spending nights with. I beg you Bezmialem Hatun, I see a lot of potential from you and obviously Sultan himself likes you a lot, but what is most important be kind to Safiye Sultan. If she dislikes you, nothing could help you to survive here, not even Sultan's love," Efsun said which kinda scared me because I listened a lot about Safiye and I knew she isn't someone to mess with.

"Sultanim," I said as I entered Safiye's chambers and bowes to her. I felt more fear coming inside of her chambers than to coming into Iskender's chambers. I didn't even dare to look at her but what I saw from the corner of my eyes she looked really magnificent.

"You are a woman that stole my son's heart, I wanted to see you to see if he was right. And you are beautiful as they talk about you," Safiye said to me.

"Thank you, Sultanim," I said and looked at the corner of my eyes to Efsun as I didn't know should I speak to Safiye.

"You might have a bright future if you are able to bear a son for my lion which none of the concubines could have, but you must prove yourself worthy of being a Sultana," Safiye said.

"My only wish is to serve and make happy Sultan and you Sultanim, your wish is my order," I said and bowed.
