Prince Charming
I could see his eyes sparkling in the moonlight
Making me want to grab him and hold him all night.
Up above the sky, a star was shooting.
I prayed, 'please don't keep me waiting'.
As if my prayers were answered, I saw him approach,
Smiling a wicked grin, he pulled me to the dance floor.
I twirled and danced under his intense stare
Deep in my heart, it surely it a flare.
Closing my eyes, I rested my head on his chest
Hoping and wishing that I'm one of his best.
As the clock struck twelve, he started to flee.
Not listening to me or any of my plea.
I wondered, if it was all a fairy tale,
Just when I saw his abandoned tie from Bloomingdale.
When I reached out for him, he was long gone.
Setting my mind to have a hunting marathon.
Days rolled into months in an attempt to find him,
As all the chances seemed to be pretty dim.
Following day, I ringed all the stores in town,
Glad to find that he was Mr. Frank Brown.
A millionaire that he was,
Would he recognize me without a pause?
I reached his place, took a deep breath before knocking on his wooden door.
As they opened, my heart skipped a beat, as I came face to face with the man I adore.
He gave me a warm smile which made me swoon
Like a peacock, that dances in monsoon.
Before, he could speak, I poured out my heart and confessed.
I could see his eyes dance as he pulled me aside for a kiss.
He said that he would never leave my side
And asked me if I would like to be his bride!
Our years together would be filled with mirth and laughter
Since we would be living in a happily ever after.
