Chapter 6 - Revelation

The chariot stopped beside the river bank just outside the borders of Hastinapur. Krishna got down and signalled Tiasha to follow. They sat under a tree.

Krishna started, "Ask what you want to ask."

-" Why were you in such a hurry? You didn't want me to meet him?", Tiasha asked.

Krishna sighed, he looked towards the sky, "Hey Madan, what have you done?" Tiasha frowned. Krishna continued, "Out of everything that is going on you ask me this? And I thought you were the rational one."

Tiasha didn't reply she continued looking at him with a frown. Seeing her Krishna smiled, "You will meet him again and that too very soon."

Tiasha broke into a smile. The next moment her expression became serious, "What is happening Jayantha? Why did you bring me here? I know it was you that night. I don't understand anything. I have come to another time, my behaviour has changed but I feel at peace, I feel at home."

Krishna smiled at the name, "Sakhi, you feel at home because you belong here. You may have been born on Kaliyuga but you belong here, at this time. Mahabharat has many endings and you are a crucial part of one of them."

-"What do you mean?"

-"There is nothing, not a single event in Mahabharat that you don't know of, you know who sage Kakabhushundi is, right?"

-"Yes the sage who saw the many endings of Mahabharat and Ramayana."

-"Correct Sakhi, and your modern science has predicted that Your universe is one of the many present in a multiverse?"

-"Yes and there is a mention of you calling all the Brahmas from the multiverse once."

Krishna cackled, "See, you know everything about this time, what happened in the past what is going to happen in the future everything, maybe you know even more than me. you know how I die don't you?"

-"Yes I do," Tiasha said with a sigh lowering her head, "But, what is this all about?"

-"As I said earlier Sakhi you are the blessing of Mata Mahakali," Krishna looked at Tiasha with a mysterious smile, "Aren't you?"

"Well I don't know about being a blessing, all I know is my mother and my grandmothers, all three of them prayed to Maa Kali for a boy. but in the end, they got me." Tiasha sighed.

Krishna set a hand on her shoulder, "Sakhi you are blessed, you have a gift of altering time. Time and space is very mysterious, just like human mind. There is not one Mahabharat. There is not one Arjun, one Duryodhan or one Karna. At this very moment somewhere else in the multiverse, another Mahabharat is being written by time, which is very different from this one. In this version, you are one of the most crucial characters. you can change lives and alter events and this Mahabharat can have a different ending. you have the power for that. And that is why you are here."

Tiasha looked at him surprised, "This is a very big responsibility you are putting on my shoulders Jayantah."

-"You cannot change everything. In some places, you would be able to do nothing at all. All you can do is try Sakhi, some will change, and some will not. And sometimes you need to sit back and just let things happen. Everything cannot be changed. The ultimate goal is to make this world a better place for everyone. Not everything is on our hands but we can try."

Tiasha took in a deep breath, "So what do I do now?"

The mischievous smile returned to Krishna's face. he said "Oh no you do not have to do anything right now, you enjoy your time. You are going to the Kalapradarshan of the Kuru Rajkumars along with Subhadra." seeing Tiasha's serious face he said, "You will know when you need to do something. Now don't worry your pretty little head with that and enjoy your time."

Krishna tapped the side of Tiasha's forehead with his index and she broke into laughter, "Now I understand why you said I will meet him soon."

Krishna joined Tiasha's laughter, "Come, let me introduce you to Subhadra, I think you two will make great friends together."

-"Wait!", Tiasha stopped Krishna, "What do I say when someone asks me my identity?"

-"Well you can not reveal your true identity or else there are people out there who will try to take advantage of you."

-"You are talking about Gandhar raj aren't you?"

Krishna smiled. "As far as I know you wanted to become an author when you were a kid, can't you come up with your backstory?"

Tiasha kept sitting while Krishna stood in front of her. After a few moments she stood up and started walking towards the chariot, "From what I know, the world doesn't have much knowledge about Banga Pradesh and its people. They think the non-Aryan people who live there are not sacred. So, I am the daughter of a rich merchant who ruled a small province in the southern part of Banga. When he died our relatives took hold of our property and I along with my mother moved to Mathura. I became friends with you there but didn't go to Dwarika when you moved because of my mother's ill health. After my mother's death, I set on a journey for Dwarika and thus reached Hastinapur. Was chased by some robbers and then found unconscious on the river bank by a kind man, his family treated me and then you found me. How does that sound?"

-"I don't see any gaps in that story, it's believable. You should have become an author you know, your stories would be pretty amazing to read." Krishna said smiling mischievously as they got into the chariot. Tiasha shrugged, "Well I was enough of a disappointment for my mother, I didn't want to increase that any more."

Krishna's smile turned into a sad one. He sighed, "Sakhi don't forget to be yourself." Tiasha gave him a tight-lipped smile. They continued further where Subhadra was waiting for them.

They reached an open area where stood a few tents. Subhadra was standing outside a tent waiting for her brother to return so they could start for Hastinapur.

She saw the chariot of her brother from a distance. She noticed her brother was not alone.

When the chariot stopped just a few steps away from her she saw a beautiful woman nearly the same age as her get down after her brother. She was wearing a fairly simple attire but even in a commoner's attire, her beauty stood out.

Krishna smiled at Subhadra when she looked at Tiasha with curiosity and admiration in her eyes.

-"Bhadre, This is Tiasha, my Sakhi. She is going to join you in your journey to Hastinapur."

Tiasha folded her hands in front of the beautiful maiden with pale almost white skin and long dark straight hair that was tied up in a bun.

Subhadra returned the gesture.

Tiasha looked at Krishna, "What do you mean your journey, Jayantah, are you not coming with us?"

Subhadra looked at Krishna questioningly Krishna replied, "No Sakhi I need to go to Vidarbha."

A mischievous smile appeared on Tiasha's face, "Hmm then you should leave fast, she is waiting for you."

Krishna narrowed his eyes at Tiasha and then they burst out laughing.

Subhadra stood there confused, "What are you talking about Bharata? and why Vidarbha?"

Tiasha turned to Subhadra and said, "You will understand soon behena" Tiasha didn't know why she called Subhadra Behena but it only felt right. She continued as she turned to Krishna, "Tell her, I said hi and be careful Chadi raj and Magadha raj could cause some trouble."

Krishna nodded and then told Subhadra, "Bhadre give your jestha bhagini some clothes and jewellery before you start your journey."

-"Jayantah, won't I be an uninvited guest in Hastinapur?"

-"Don't worry about that Sakhi I have written a  letter to Mahamahim Bhishma stating your arrival. you won't have a problem there."

Tiasha nodded with a smile.

Subhadra and Tiasha bid goodbye to Krishna as he got on his chariot and started for Vidarbha.

After Krishna's chariot went out of sight Subhadra asked Tiasha, "Why did he say you are my jestha bhagini, you don't look much older than me."

-"You are 20 right?"

Subhadra nodded.

-"I am 23 I guess that's why he said that."

Subhadra smiled, "I have always wanted a jestha bhagini."

Tiasha opened her arms and Subhadra embraced her.

-"Come Didi, you should get ready before we start our journey."

Tiasha and Subhadra entered a tent where they could get ready.

Subhadra was wearing a bright red attire which complemented her complexion. Tiasha chose dark green attire and a few light jewellery. Though Subhadra insisted on wearing more but she refused.

-"I feel like jewellery weighs me down." Tiasha said.

Subhadra couldn't help wondering how someone could look so beautiful and radiant without much sringer.

Then it was time for the girls to start their journey to Hastinapur.

                                                        -XX-

Woo! Here is your chapter 6. 1k reads holy moly! Thank you so much guys.

I think I should clarify a few things,

First, Tiasha calls Krishna Jayantah, which means Conqueror of all enemies. Everyone calls Krishna a different name as they see him. Tiasha sees him as someone who helps you conquer all your enemies outside and inside. Thus this name.

Second, Tiasha called Subhadra Behena because Subhadra is considered the incarnation of Devi Yogmaya and Tiasha as you know is a blessing from Devi Kali.

Third, Tiasha doesn't have any Divine powers.

Lastly, the new writers don't get much respect all over. Don't discouraged your kids parents, if they want to be an writer let them be.

Thank you so much you all for showing this much love. I hope you enjoyed the chapter. don't forget to comment because your one comment makes my day and inspires me to continue writing. Take care, my lovely readers.
