Rin sat up in her bed, it had been four more days, and she could finally feel more strength coming back to her. Every day Thana had been giving her fresh strawberries, and the occasional freshly cooked steak. The days flew by quickly with all she could do being staring outside. Her chocolate brown eyes picked up on a lot of strange things, like the weather. The weather changed drastically almost each time she blinked. It was usually sunny with hot rays that beat down against the earth, but sometimes, the weather would change into harsh rains with lightning striking. During those times, she could hear Thana yelling; almost as if there was a reason for this weather. Whenever it would rain, Rin hoped that something, anything, would grow, but nothing ever grew.

Thana slowly opened and closed the door. Rin turned her head, Thana was holding a tray, she had a small smile worn on her face. "Thana?" Rin questioned, the food for the nearest eating time already came. The female with the amethyst orbs walked slowly over, grabbing a chair and pulling it up to Rin's bed. Thana held a tray with different kinds of markers, and sketchbook. "I thought you would be bored, so I went down the mountain to get you some things." Thana's smooth voice rolled off her tongue. Rin smiled, giving a 'thank you' to Thana before taking the sketchbook and marker tray.

Rin took this opportunity to ask Thana a burning question. "Why are your eye whites... black?" Thana blinked, her smile slipping off her face, "what, are you some sort of racist against it?" Rin's eyes widened, her curious pursed lips split apart in an awkward way. "No-nonono" Rin started repeating while waving her hands around, denying. "Relax I'm joking." Thana spoke, a small chuckle coming out, "anyway, I've had these eyes ever since I can remember." Rin nodded, it was weird how she didn't phrase it as 'since she was born' but that didn't matter. "And what about your name, I mean full name..." Rin trailed off, finding what she was asking to be a little personal. "I never had parents, so I don't know my last name."

After that, nodding her head was all that Rin could do. It was getting awkward. "So who is your friend?" Rin spoke, gesturing to some of the strawberries. "You can call her Zephyr," Thana paused, "her full name is Zephyrite." Rin simply nodded, as Thana pushed herself off of the cushions that made the chair. "Can I meet her?" Thana turned around as Rin said that. One of her hands were clenched. With the other one she picked the easily 100 pound (around 45 kg for non american readers) chair. Thana dropped the chair on the ground, a small tremor shifted through the house. A shiver went up Rin's spine. "Maybe." Thana mumbled with poison in her tone. Rin could instantly tell, Thana didn't want Zephyr to meet her.

Thana slammed the door shut, the dark, shadow-filled hallway in front of her, the light of the small windows situated against the outside of the halls. Thana slowly walked down the stairs. The dark purple floorboards started after the stairs, arch like dark windows. Thana leaned against the wall, and she slowly slid down sitting against the wall. Her knees curled up to her chest. "I shouldn't have yelled." The warm voice she retained with Rin was gone, a cold emotionless shell of a voice was all that was left.

"What amalgamate of hell crawled up your asshole this time. Anyone I know?"

GOD I LOVE HER

"Zeph, not now."

"What did you fuckin' say something about me to the clusterfuck you call Rin?" Zephyr rose her white eyebrows up. Zephyr had long white hair that curled around her, defying the gravity, she had blue skin that resembled the sky and dark eyes. Zephyr wore just a darker grey-blue dress that drapes down right around her knees.

"Rin is not a mistake, so shut the fuck up before I send you back to hell myself." Zephyr just laughed at Thana's futile attempt to intimidate her. "Listen up, Thanatos, I know you can do that, but I'm not gonna attack Rin anytime soon, you're the one who needs my help to sustain the life of the strawberries, when all you do is take it." Zephyr started to walk away, moving toward the small inside garden with new strawberry plants added in. Zephyr flicker her finger, and a storm could rose up, raining on top of it.
