Part 18: Snowpaw
2 Days Earlier
Snowpaw slumped after Webs tiredly, she was allowed to rest during the trip but Webs seemed keen on getting to where she needed to be.. or avoiding something. "Can you walk? The cave is almost there," Webs prodded her side, Snowpaw nodded weakly and sluggishly got to her paws. She blinked when she felt a supported weight next to her, it took her a moment to realize that Webs has managed to slip Snowpaw's arm in a small knot made from vines. "Sorry, I just-- I don't want to be here when nightfall comes.." Webs apologized quickly, not meeting Snowpaw's eyes. A flash of emotion skirted across Webs' face, fear? Snowpaw could hardly believe this molly was afraid of anything, not after she had dove into a raging river to save a cat she barely knew. At first Snowpaw thought it was stupid, she did save her.. But a part of her still didn't trust Webs fully.. what if this was some rogue pretending to be a Riverclan cat? Rogues cannot be trusted. She told herself warily and reminds herself to keep an eye on Webs.. just in case.
She's so wrapped in her thoughts she doesn't realize Webs had stopped, "Snowpaw?" The blue-gray droopy she-cat waved infront of the apprentice. Snowpaw yelped and jolted back, looking around wildly, "Huh-- whu- what?" She blinked, she half expected a flood of rogues to swarm out of the huge shadows that loomed around her. "Come on," Webs smiled softly and nodded to the shadows before retreating into the cave slowly, Snowpaw swallowed as she saw Webs' tail slowly slip into the darkness. The white and gray molly shook her head and inhaled deeply, whatever waited for her inside.. better be prepared, with an exhale the she-cat slips into the dark after the former Riverclan warrior.
