Chapter 7: Snowpaw
" I'll go. " Snowpaw meowed and proudly lifted her tail in the air.
" You got this," she mumbled under her breath as she approached the Thunderpath's grassy section. The Thunderpath emitted a foul stench. Snowpaw spat, puzzled as to why two-legs had created such a foul-smelling thing.
As monsters flew back and forth down the Thunderpath, Snowpaw stood there observing. She was surprised as to why so many of them were out so late, given that this is when monsters go to sleep.
"I can go if you want." Behind her, Thrasherpaw volunteered. Under the scarcely visible sun, her dark brown tabby stripes glowed. " What makes you think I'd desire a rogue's help?" Snowpaw spat and shifted her gaze to Thrasherpaw.
Thrasherpaw gave her a shocked look. Before curling her lip in a snarl. " What does the fact that I was once a rogue have to do with any of this?" She growled, unsheathing her claws.
"First, you're a rogue, and second, you're a rogue!" Snowpaw fluffed up her fur to make herself appear larger to Thrasherpaw.
" I'm going to rip off your- "
" Okay, guys, that's it! " Larkpaw frowned as he approached the two she-cats. " We haven't even left our own territory and we're fighting?"
" Says you! " Snowpaw's fur pricked up. " You argued with your brother in front of everyone!"
With his fur bristling, Larkpaw swung his head towards Snowpaw. He sighed noisily before flicking his tail at the Thunderpath. " Let's just get going." His voice was still tinged with anger.
Snowpaw tensed her muscles before racing along the Thunderpath. Ignoring the fact that it stinks.
Yes! I'm going to do it!
Snagged by her own paws, Snowpaw stumbled onto the ground. Landing squarely in a monster's path.
