Chapter 13 : The Forbidden Room

Rohan and Kiara's curiosity led them to a mysterious room, hidden away from the rest of the house. As they entered, Kiara felt a shiver run down her spine. The room was filled with red flowers, dry but seemingly fresh, and the curtains were a beautiful, velvety red. A painting on the wall caught their attention - a man and woman deeply in love, their love evident in the tender moment.

The room was dimly lit, with flickering candelabras casting eerie shadows on the walls. A thick, velvety carpet in a deep crimson hue covered the floor, muffling every step. The air was heavy with the scent of old dust and forgotten memories.

Rohan exclaimed, "Wow, what a creation! This room looks like it belonged to lovers."

Kiara nodded, her eyes scanning the room. "It's indeed beautiful, but old and weird. It feels like...blood has made this room."

Rohan and Kiara ventured into the chamber, their footsteps echoing off the walls. They moved cautiously, their eyes scanning the room for any signs of danger. As they approached the painting, they couldn't help but feel a sense of connection to the couple in the portrait. Kiara reached out a trembling hand to touch the canvas, and Rohan's eyes locked onto hers, filled with a mix of curiosity and concern.

Rohan and Kiara's eyes met, and they felt an undeniable spark. The room's eerie atmosphere faded into the background as they surrendered to their natural attraction.

Rohan's hands gently guided Kiara to a bed of rose petals, soft as silk. He kissed her forehead, and Kiara's heart skipped a beat. Their eyes locked, Rohan chuckled, pulling Kiara close. "Come here, baby. Stop worrying unnecessarily. Let's explore this room."

As they stood there, lost in the moment, Rohan's hands cradled Kiara's face, his thumbs tracing her jawline. He leaned in, his lips inches from her, just like in the painting.

Kiara relaxed in his embrace, feeling safe with him. As they sat together, Rohan caressed her hair, his touch sending shivers down her spine. But just as he was about to kiss her, he looked back at the painting.

And froze.

Just as they were lost in the moment, Rohan looked up, his eyes locking onto the painting behind the bed. The image had changed, now depicting their own passionate embrace.

The painting had changed. It now depicted Rohan and Kiara , their love mirrored in the artwork. Rohan's eyes widened in shock, and he fell back, releasing Kiara.

Kiara's voice trembled. "Rohan, what's happening? Why did you let go of me?"

Rohan's face was pale, his eyes fixed on the painting. "It's us...in the painting. How is this possible?"

Kiara's eyes snapped open, and she saw the painting too. They both froze, their hearts pounding in unison.

As Kiara touched the painting, the room began to shift and distort, like ripples on a pond. Rohan's eyes widened, and he tried to pull Kiara back, but it was too late. The painting on the walls started to glow with an otherworldly light, and Rohan felt himself being pulled towards them. He tried to resist, but his feet seemed rooted to the spot.

Kiara's eyes went wide as she watched Rohan's body begin to fade away, like mist in the sun. His face contorted in a silent scream, and his arms stretched out to her, as if pleading for help. The painting seemed to be sucking him in, reflecting his image multiple times, until he was nothing more than a faint silhouette.

The red light in the room intensified, and the air grew thick with an eerie presence. Kiara's eyes widened in terror as Rohan's body began to fade away.

"Rohan! No! Don't leave me!"

And then, he was gone.

Kiara's scream shattered the silence, echoing off the house as she stumbled backward, her eyes fixed on the spot where Rohan had vanished. The room fell still, the only sound the soft whisper of the candles and Kiara's ragged breathing. The painting on the wall seemed to loom over her, the couple's smiles now twisted into eerie grins.

But it was too late. Rohan vanished, leaving Kiara alone in the forbidden room. The door creaked open, and Kiara stumbled out, desperate to find her friends. But as she called out for them, only silence replied...
