Chapter 11 : The Descent into Madness
As they delved deeper into the chamber, the friends encountered unspeakable horrors. Grotesque visions assaulted their minds, and the air grew thick with an otherworldly presence.
Shruti's eyes rolled back, her voice chanting in a language they didn't understand. Sahil's laughter echoed off the walls, now a manic, hysterical sound.
Veera's voice trembled as she turned to Shruti. "What's happening to you? You're scaring me!"
Shruti's eyes had glazed over, her pupils dilating as she stared into space. Her body began to twitch and convulse, her limbs contorting in unnatural positions.
Rachit's face was pale. "How do I know? I've never seen anything like this before!"
Sahil's laughter echoed through the room, sending chills down Veera's spine. She turned to him, worried. "Sahil, what's wrong with you? This isn't funny!"
But Sahil just kept laughing, his eyes fixed on Shruti's antics.
As Veera and Rachit struggled to hold down the possessed Shruti, Sahil's laughter echoed through the room.
"I say, Sahil, old chap," Rachit shouted above the din, "do try to keep your giggles to a minimum. We're trying to exorcise a demon here, not attend a comedy club!"
Veera rolled her eyes. "Rachit, really. Must you?"
Veera shot him a withering glance. "Sahil, this is no laughing matter. We need to focus!"
Rachit's voice was laced with concern. "Is she possessed or something?"
Veera's eyes widened as she noticed Kiara's amulet lying on the floor, its chain broken. "The amulet! It's fallen apart!"
Rachit's face turned pale. "Oh no, we have to get it back on her. Now!"
Veera's hands shook as she picked up the amulet, but she steeled herself and approached Shruti. "I'll do it. I have to."
With slow, deliberate movements, Veera fastened the amulet around Shruti's neck. But as soon as the metal touched Shruti's skin, she let out a blood-curdling scream and turned violent.
Veera and Rachit clung to each other, terrified, as Shruti thrashed about, her eyes rolling back in her head.
Veera's voice was barely audible. "Rachit, didn't you say you'd protect us if we came here? Now you're asking me to save her?"
Rachit's face was ashen. "I didn't mean it like that, Veera. I'll help you. We'll figure this out together."
But Veera just shook her head, her eyes fixed on Shruti's contorted face. "No, I've got this. Just stay back."
As Veera held Shruti down, trying to calm her, Sahil's laughter stopped abruptly. The room fell silent, except for Shruti's ragged breathing.
Veera's voice was firm. "It's okay, Shruti. I've got you. Just breathe."
But Shruti's eyes had turned black as coal, and her voice was not her own. "You should have stayed away," she hissed, her body arching off the floor.
Veera's grip on Shruti tightened, her heart racing with fear. What had they unleashed?
Rachit and Veera clung to each other, paralyzed with fear. Rohan and Kiara tried to flee, but the doors slammed shut, trapping them.
The orbs pulsed faster, and the symbols on the walls began to glow with an eerie light. The friends felt their sanity slipping, consumed by the darkness that surrounded them.
The Dark Revelation
As the visions intensified, the friends saw the dark history of Blackwood House unfold before them. They witnessed the sinister rituals, the human sacrifices, and the unholy pacts made with malevolent entities.
Shruti's voice rose to a fevered pitch, her words a maddening litany of terror. Sahil's laughter stopped, replaced by a blood-curdling scream.
Rachit and Veera stumbled through the chamber, desperate to escape. But every door led to more horrors, more visions, and more madness.
Rohan and Kiara found themselves face to face with an ancient evil in a room trapped, a presence that had haunted Blackwood House for centuries...
As Roshni and Krish ventured deeper into the mysterious Blackwood House, they decided to explore the ground floor. They had been warned about the strange occurrences and unexplained events, but they were determined to uncover the secrets of the house.
As they walked down the hallway, they noticed a door that seemed out of place. It was old and worn, with intricate carvings of mirrors and reflections.
"I think this might be the room Shruti was talking about," Roshni said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Krish's eyes lit up with curiosity. "Let's check it out."
They pushed the door open, and a musty smell wafted out. The room was dimly lit, with only a few flickering candles to light the way. As they stepped inside, they were met with a maze of mirrors.
"Whoa, this is crazy," Krish said, staring at the reflections within reflections.
Roshni's eyes widened as she gazed into the mirrors. "It's like an infinite reflection."
As they explored the room, they realized that the mirrors seemed to be shifting and changing, creating a dizzying effect. They stumbled upon a door hidden behind a mirror, and as they opened it, they found themselves in the same room.
"This is insane," Krish said, laughing. "We're stuck in some kind of mirror loop."
Roshni's face was pale. "I don't like this. Let's find a way out."
But as they turned to leave, they realized that the doors had disappeared. They were trapped in the room of mirrors, with no clear exit.
"What do we do now?" Krish asked, his voice laced with concern.
Roshni took a deep breath. "We need to find a way to break the cycle. Maybe there's a hidden pattern or code."
As they searched the room, they stumbled upon a cryptic message etched into the mirror:
"The truth lies in the reflection, but beware the illusion."
Roshni's eyes locked onto the message. "I think this is the key to escaping."
Krish nodded. "Let's figure it out. Together."
And with that, they began to decipher the mystery of the room of mirrors, determined to uncover the secrets of Blackwood House.
