The God Of Water
Silvanus is a simple servant of the God of Water, just like Azzel and Kaiden, but he seems to be a little more intrigued by the fact that his master has decided to keep his distance. Analyzing her with more judgment, Silvanus sees what the others have seen. Still, unlike them, he chooses to stir her emotions to measure her ability to handle the pressure. After all, there's someone more intimidating than the god himself.
While Camille thinks back to the few times she was able to see a shooting star, it's actually one of the Blazers passing by. She glances at the pitch-dark corner where they disappeared, wondering if they hear peoples' wishes and hopes. She remembers making a hopeful wish like everyone else. Camille shared a dream with Adam to escape her horrible prison and grow old together. Her heart clenches at the memory of that night they wished upon a star.
"Have you met him yet?" Silvanus interrupts her thoughts.
"No, not yet," she answers doubtfully, still wondering why she feels so afraid to meet the mysterious god after meeting Azzel, Kaiden, and now Silvanus. Camille knows better not to create any type of image of him.
"It is intriguing, indeed," Silvanus murmurs as he sips on his tea. She raises her eyes to look at him; he can see right through her thoughts, where her beloved boyfriend is present all the time. Unlike the rest of the god's servants, Silvanus is more observant and driven to find the limits of his master. He's already aware that his master sneaked into her room, which is something he has never bother to do before. Camille has something that's making the god react differently, something that Silvanus wants to see more. "You seem kind of lost in a dark world," Silvanus comments cautiously.
"Lost..." she repeats with a sad smile. Camille has been lost all her life, chased and tormented by the darkness, even in this world. Although she's surrounded by light, deep down, she knows that she'll have to return at some point. She peers Silvanus's eye while he searches for that sign that can explain why she's in the water sanctuary of all places. He sighs, finding nothing, and that could be in her favor and a disadvantage for the god.
"I believe you are aware of how cautious everyone is about speaking about him," Silvanus adds. "He can be terrifying and not very patient with most of us," he tells her. Still, carefully choosing his words, Silvanus is a daredevil that enjoys seeing a reaction from his master, but he's also careful not to get himself killed by him. Silvanus wants to save her the burden of dealing with meeting his master at the wrong time. After looking at her past, Silvanus can see that she might find a way to change his master's approach, but that can also change if they unexpectedly meet each other.
"The Golden God of Water is notorious for the temperamental outbursts that make everyone afraid of him..." Silvanus glances at the dense clouds forming above the angry ocean.
"You may not know it now, but in the end, you will only hope to get to his good side, and once you do, you will become trapped in something dangerous..." Silvanus's tone becomes tender, which confuses her. Azzel and Silvanus describe the god with the same words, but somehow Camille finds herself believing in Silvanus. A thought that pulls a smile out of him. "In this place, we all do his will, some for loyalty, others for fear. Perhaps, because his majesty is passionate just as he is cruel." He explains, trying to give her an idea of what to expect with someone so unpredictable.
"And, for his own good, dear Camille. I hope you can endure your stay here," he says to himself, making Camille a little more curious about this man.
"Why am I here exactly?" Turning her attention outside just like Silvanus, she freezes for a quick second as she notices a gigantic maelstrom opening up in the ocean. Camille watches in shock how a hole opens up, making the waves slam against the rock, creating a rumbling in the sky.
"Do you wish to go back, my lady?" His voice sounds royal but with a hint of mockery. Camille glances at him with the corner of her eyes as a smile plays on his face. "One look into your eyes. That is all it will take for his majesty to decide how will you face your destiny." Camille swallows the lump gathering in her throat.
"You see that?" Silvanus points at a white cloud hovering towards the sanctuary as it suddenly starts to revolt with itself. The wind blasts against the grass as the hole in the ocean grows bigger. The wind picks up immediately, pushing the trees violently. Camille watches her cup of tea shake as everything rumbles outside.
"What's happening?" The sudden display of terrifying power makes her realize that once again, she's not close to Primavera Town. She's in an unknown world without Adam.
"His majesty is not in a good mood today," Silvanus informs her as his eye takes note of her reaction. Camille's heart jumps at the information. She gulps, trying to ease the anxiety building up in her chest. "Honestly speaking, and if you accept my advice, it would be best if you let him come to you. After all, even though this is a world where the light exceeds. The darkness is always waiting to find its prey." Silvanus stops as he notices the fear building up in her eyes. He sighs.
Camille can feel the warn in Silvanus's voice, her gut twists with concern, but she has no option other than to follow what he said. Taking Silvanus's advice, she nods and excuses herself out of the dark tower.
"My lady..." he stops her before the door opens. "He is not bad, or at least he tries not to be. Unfortunately, he has an unbreakable curse," Silvanus explains in a pitiful tone that makes Camille curious. His master's lack of tact to communicate with others is due to others' painful decisions and irreparable mistakes.
Afraid of whatever might be coming her way, Camille can feel the god's presence getting closer as the wind blasts against the flowery fields. Looking up into the darkening sky, suddenly, Camille feels the need to go back to Primavera Town, to her mother and Jordan. Most of all, she wants to go back to Adam. See his comforting smile, hear his playful voice. Her heart stabs as loneliness grows in her heart, even if Steve beats her to death. Even if she has nowhere to go, Camille doesn't want to be in a place where she has no idea what to anticipate.
"Mom. Adam..." she whispers as she makes a run to her room while the skies turn grey and the winds lift the ground as the God of Water lands in the sanctuary.
Silvanus takes a sip of his tea while observing the sirens ride the sharks to the open ocean. He holds in a smile as he notices from far his relentless master finds his way to his tower. "An unbreakable curse indeed..." he murmurs, amusedly.
