I had never seen so many foxes. I had opened my eyes when the voice spoke and my vision was dazzled. When I had been in the den, Ma had taught me about day and night. I thought that it was either sunset or sunrise, because the sun was not at full height and not as bright. It's Still dazld me. When my eyes started adjusting, i could see that the clearing was full of foxes. there were gingers, and reds, and a few grays or gray-browns. My siblings trotted out behind me. They probably weren't weirded out to see all the vixens and males staring at us. After all, they had all had their meeting ceremonies. As the skulk came up too see me, i wondered if this would be less terrifying if there was a littermate standing by my side.
