"I'M HOME!"
"Oh welcome back, Valt! You're just in time for dinner." Valt's mother, Chiharu greeted him.
"Is there beybread?" the bluenette asked the most important question.
"Of course there is! What's a meal in the Aoi household without beybread?"
"Yay! You're the best mom!" Valt excitedly said as he sat at the dining table. "Where's Toko and Nika?"
"We're here!" the twins exclaimed in unison as they climbed down the stairs.
"Hey there you two!" Valt greeted his younger siblings. They all sat down for dinner.
"Hey, big bro. Wanna battle me and Triton after dinner?" Toko challenged his brother.
"Sure thing! It's been a while since I last battled you."
"I'm gonna beat you!"
"No, me and Valkyrie are gonna beat you!"
"No, ME!"
"ME!"
"ME!"
Valt and Toko childishly argued like normal siblings do. Meanwhile, Mrs Aoi and Nika watched them awkwardly. After dinner, Valt and Toko battled as promised, with the latter coming out victorious.
"Wow, you've gotten way stronger than before." Valt said, exhausted.
"Have I?" Toko asked.
"Yep. Keep it up! Strengthen your bond with Triton and never let losing get the best of you! Remember that beyblading is all about fun. Who knows? Maybe you'll become a legend just like me." Valt passionately encouraged his younger brother.
"Th...Thanks Valt, you're the best big brother ever!" Toko thanked him with sparkles in his eyes.
Over the years, Valt Aoi had become a beyblading celebrity. He was listed the No. 1 blader by the WBBA despite losing his world champion title to Aiga Akaba and a member of the renowned team, BC Sol. All of this caused him to be pretty well known but for Valt, it was a bit stressful. Having to deal with fans and interviewers, attend conferences, battling people who challenge him - fame has a bit of its downsides. Sure, Valt enjoys blading of course and he treats almost everyone he meets like a friend, but he sometimes wished that he could escape the stresses of being popular.
Night time came, and Valt was going to bed. He lied in his bed, admiring his beyblade, Brave Valkyrie, in all of her glory.
'Valkyrie, is there a way I could have some peace of mind while not abandoning the people I care about?' Valt asked in his mind, but no voice answered him.
He sighed and put his beyblade aside before closing his eyes, succumbing to slumber.
Valt opened his eyes to find himself floating. Well, not really floating since he can feel the ground but he can't see it.
"Where am I?" he asked himself. The boy found himself in an azure void. The void where he would often see Valkyrie mounted on her horse. Where she would give help and advise to him when he needed it in beybattles. But Valkyrie wasn't there. Then, Valt saw a figure in the distance. He approached the silhouette to get a closer look. When he got close, he saw a woman. The woman had a tall stature, long bright red hair and was wearing some type of blue armor and cape. On top of her head was a headdress that resembled wings.
"Hello?" Valt called out to her. The woman turned around, revealing a beautiful face with light and fair skin as well as grass green irises. Beside her was a very familiar white steed.
"Oh, Valt. You're here." she said calmly.
"Who are you? How do you know my name?"
The mysterious woman looked at him confused, as if she was expecting him to know her. Her expression later turned from confusion to realization.
"Oh, I forgot. I've never shown you this form of mine. Anyway, it's me, Valkyrie!".
"Wait...Valkyrie? Aren't you, like, tall and blue and riding a horse and carrying a giant swo-"
Just as Valt said all of those things, the woman claiming to be Valkyrie pulled out a sword and her horse revealed itself fully. They both looked at each other awkwardly. Then Valt broke the silence.
"Well, if you are Valkyrie, say something about me that only she would know!"
"That one time when you broke a priceless statue just to look for me." she blatantly responded.
'Well, I guess she is Valkyrie after all.' Valt thought. Then he asked; "So, why are you here, in a human form?"
"Well, I figured it would be easier to talk to you in this form. But I just wanna ask you something." she said as she sat down on the invisible ground, Valt followed after.
"What is it?"
"Do you know where I come from?"
"Of course I do! I created you, didn't I?"
"You only created the beyblade. Where do I come from? The spirit within your bey. Surely a spinning top made of metal can't talk. Their not even alive! There has to be some sort of being that helped you in all of those battles, right?" she stated as if she was testing the boy.
Valt's eyes widen in realization. "Yo...you're right. It's the spirit that I'm talking to, not the bey. So where did you come from?" he asked.
Valkyrie chuckled. "That's why I'm here. I wanna invite you to my home world. The world where me, Spriggan, Achilles and many other spirits originated from."
Valt's eyes seemed to sparkle at this. "Tha...that's so cool! But why the sudden invitation?"
"I saw how pressured you are by your fame, so I wanted to bring you to my place to clear your mind. It's a beautiful world that you'd certainly enjoy. You could also bring along your friends if you want." she explained with a soft smile.
Valt was almost speechless. His partner was inviting him to a world he never knew existed. "Tha...thank you, but when are we going?"
The red-haired spirit pondered at this for a moment before answering; "In about a week. Well that concludes our meeting. Hope you're ready, Valt."
That was the last thing Valt heard and saw before waking up.
'That was too real to be just a dream.' he thought, still laying on his bed. He looked to his left to find his beyblade and stared at it, with Valkyrie's words echoing in his head.
