Adelina had fully intended to have a good night's sleep before beginning her training with Poe, however, her mind seemed to have other ideas. Not only did she have an intense dream or vision of her brother, she also woke up covered in sweat.

It was as if someone was trying to show her something by constantly putting vivid dreams of her brother into her mind, however she wasn't sure what it was yet. It wasn't as if she'd seen anything useful and the dreams just made her heart ache.

This morning, she was up and out of bed a little after six in the morning, but she didn't feel like she'd had a wink of sleep. And when she looked in the mirror, her face showed how tired she really felt.

Adelina groaned as she stepped into the shower, trying to wake herself up. It wasn't as though she wanted to shower as she'd just need another after the day's training but she was basically asleep on her feet. She turned the water from warm to cold, shivering as the water hit her back and then her hair.

After she felt like she could keep her eyes open, she stepped out of the shower and wrapped herself in a towel before attempting to comb out the knots in her hair. Her clock said that it was now twenty minutes to seven and Adelina knew she was supposed to meet Poe in the training center at seven-thirty. Though she doubted that he would report her if she was late.

Adelian squinted at herself in the mirror, not surprised at all to see dark circles under her eyes. It seemed like it had been a decade since she'd seen her eyes without them. Grabbing her cosmetics, she attempted to cover them as well as the other blemishes on her face before she padded back into her room to get into an outfit.

When she had finally made herself somewhat presentable, she made her way to breakfast even though she only had a little bit of time left to eat.

When she got there, she spotted Nara was sitting in the corner of the hall, her nose buried in her tablet and her forgotten meal pushed to the side.

Adelina quickly got herself some food before she sat down across from her friend and tapped her tablet, "What's so important that you aren't eating?"

Nara looked up and sighed, "I'm trying to figure out where else we could go if the First Order finds us."

Adelina gulped and took a long sip of her blue milk, trying to think of a response.

Nara narrowed her eyes at her best-friend, "What do you know?"

Adelina set her cup down and shook her head furiously, "Nothing, I swear."

Nara looked dubious, "I know that look. You know something."

Adelina sighed, tugging on her braid nervously, "Look, I've been having weird dreams."

"Seriously, Lina?" Nara rolled her eyes.

"I know how it sounds, Nar. But they're super weird and they're all of my brother." Adelina explained.

"Are you sure they're just dreams?" Nara asked.

"What, like premonitions?" Adelina asked, "Or something else?"

Nara narrowed her eyes at Adelina before leaning forward and dropping her voice, "You're Force sensitive right?"

"I guess so. I mean, I held off my own brother and I am a Skywalker. Well, sort of." Adelina whispered back.

"Lina. I think it might have something to do with that. I mean, I'm no Force genius or anything." Nara shrugged.

Adelina laughed and checked the time, "Great. I have to go."

"Where?" Nara asked as Adelina shoved a roll into her mouth and chewed as quickly as possible.

"Training." Adelina answered and took a bite out of her eggs.

Nara smirked at her best friend, "With Poe? Ooh give me the details later."

Adelina raised an eyebrow at her friend, "It's training, Nar. My mom is insisting."

Nara rolled her eyes, "You're no fun, Lina. And you need to stop acting like you didn't kiss him in front of a majority of the Resistance members."

Adelina sighed, "I'll act like he's more to me when he does. We've barely said two words to each other that don't have to do with work since."

"Well, you'll get your chance today." Nara winked at her and then sobered, "Good luck."

Adelina rolled her eyes as she grabbed her stuff, "It's training. I don't need luck."

Adelina was late and by the time she arrived at the spot that Poe had picked out for training, he was sparring with Jessika. Adelina groaned inwardly. She loved Jessika but she really didn't need another person witnessing her humiliation today.

Adelina had trained a lot in the past but her mother had often put her on desk jobs and she hadn't had much practice in awhile and watching Jessika and Poe train made her feel weak in comparison.

When the two finally paused to breathe, Adelina gathered her courage and strode purposefully towards them.

"Jess, I didn't know you'd be joining us." Adelina called out, trying to cover for the fact that she was late.

Jessika turned around and flashed a grin at Adelina, "I'm not. Was just getting in some practice before I work with Nara to decipher something."

Adelina cocked her head, "Well, she's in the dining hall."

"Ouch." Jessika cringed playfully, "You don't have to rush me out the door."

"Sorry." Adelina winced, "Just thought you'd want to see your girlfriend, rather than your friend who is clearly a walking disaster right now."

Jessika laughed, "Already saw her this morning. And you're not a disaster. Just a little late."

"Yeah sorry. Rough night." Adelina answered, still not acknowledging Poe's prescience. When Jessika looked at her curiously, she added, "Weird dreams. I didn't sleep much."

"Sorry. Well, I'll see you later." Jessika said, giving her a small squeeze of her shoulder before she smiled at Poe, "I'll leave you two to it."

Adelina awkwardly stared at Jessika's retreating figure before she faced Poe who was shaking his head with a smile on his face. Adelina glared back at him, "What?"

"You're cute when you're nervous." He answered.

"Shut up." Adelina blushed at him before asking, "So, are we going to do this?"

"Straight to business, huh?" Poe asked her, lifting an eyebrow, "Where's the fun in that?"

"I'm here to train, not have fun, Dameron." Adelina insisted.

"Who says we can't do both?" Poe asked, mockingly.

Adelina glared at him, "My brother killed my father and then he tried to kill me. I need to get stronger, if I'm going to face him again."

"Okay. I'm sorry." Poe held up his hands and then tossed a practice saber to her, "I know you've been through a lot, but you have to let me help you."

Adelina grabbed the saber and sighed, "You are going to help me."

"That's not what I meant, darling." Poe told her.

"I can't do this right now, Poe. Please." Adelina sighed at him.

Poe smiled tightly, "Fine. But we're going to talk later, because you're the one who started this thing by telling me you liked me. And so far, I've seen no sign that you actually want a relationship with me."

Adelina threw up her hands in exasperation, "What the sith are you talking about, Dameron? Of course, I still like you and want to be with you. I just have a lot on my plate. Just give me some time."

Poe smiled at her, "And if you talked to me about it, then I could help you. But if you need time, then I'll give it to you."

Adelina smiled back and wrapped her arms around him in a hug before kissing his cheek gently, "Thank you."

Poe chuckled softly as he hugged her back before pulling away and waving his saber at her, "For now, we need to train."

Adelina grinned at him and flipped her saber around in her hand, "I'm going to kick your ass."

Poe smirked at her, "We'll see about that, darling."
