Vijay finally stood up as the gifts presented to the King had arrived. The ornaments, the wine, the horse everything. He stood up and saw that the king had grabbed Princess Ra by her hand. He thought it was a lovely gesture by the King to hold her daughter's hand his emotions were soon about to be changed.

He saw something, trickling down the Princesses eye. It was a drop of tear, was it because she was leaving her father and going to marry the Prince. This cause lot of discomfort to Prince thinking he was about to ruin Ra's life by taking her away but soon the King finally spoke. With every line the King spoke it felt as if the Princess was only a pawn in the King's life. Such a piece of art and shining glory was spoken like she was the problem of the family. With every word he spoke, he destroyed the Princesses image, forget the princess, he was shaming his own daughter in front of the court and such a large audience. Anger was bubbling inside of the Prince. He couldn't bare any more insult of Princess Ra. 

The senapati himself was furious. Prince may have killed countless women after his battles but the Maratha empire hated that about the prince. The empire was built to protect the women they had. And after seeing Princess Ra, even Vijay had realized that she was a gem that needed protection. Something that his father had wished off him but until now had never happened. He couldn't here any more disrespect about her but he decided to play things out first. He heard Princess Ra speak in her tearful voice that she was never a curse and Prince Vijay agreed.

"Senapati bring the garlands and Maharaj let us finish the marriage procedure before commencing the dinner celebration."

Vijay spoke with a face that was calm on the outside but was red hot with anger from the inside. This kingdom indeed deserved the name Kotha (prostitution house), where even the King was willing to pimp out his daughter for just some gifts. As the process started Vijay and Ra started following instructions given to them by the Prince and the ceremony ended. Both the Prince and Princess took the 7 phere to signify that their love will last for 7 generations to come and the ceremony concluded. Finally Ra was his wife and now Prince Vijay announced loudly in court.

"Ra, you are my wife. King Vikram, you had made my wife Ra cry ..You destroyed her reputation in court and in front of your guests. Ra, do I have permission to take this man's life and end your misery. "

A bold statement was announced by the Prince and all the Maratha's in the court were now on guard.
