It was as if the gods themselves had crafted every intricate details of the empire. The lands were lush green, the fields were fertile to grow vegetables and fruits of most variety. The kingdom was blessed with frequent rains ensuring the rivers were always flowing and crops were always growing.

This empire was widely known for their warriors and the raw strength their men possessed. The sons of the families were trained for battles right at the young age of 5. By the time they were 12 years of age, every single one would become a skilled warrior that can pariticipate and win battles. The Marathas, took pride of reperesenting their empire in battles and expanding their empire. The other empired feared the Maratha amry's invasion and tried to maintain good ties with them in order to avoid unnecessary bloodsheds.

Born and raised in this Maratha Empire was Prince Vijay the lone son of the ruler of the Maratha Empire, Emperor Vishwajeet. The Prince was never treated like a royalty and was treated like every Maratha son, the prince was trained by the army generals at the ripe age of 5 and by the time he was 12, he had already won multiple battles.

As time passed Vijay, honed his skills more and more surpassing the army generals in no time. He was the most skillful warrior in the empire, some said his skills even surpassed the Emperor himself. The prince was a skilled swords man I used a greatsword as his weapon.

Vijay had the looks of a true Maratha. He had a brown skin and was 6'5 feet tall. His muscles were built like the true warrior he was. During battles his body would be covered in armor hence his featured were hidden but once the armor was removed one can see the big bulky arms true to the weapon of his choice. The chest and abs were toned and the legs built to run and slay any enemy in front of him. He dawned a beard like every other warrior in his empire would.

As days passed, Emperor Vishwajeet was getting older and was starting to get sick. He had just one wish to see his son get married. However, it was very difficult to find him a suitable wife. The prince was skilled as a warrior but was as ruthless and arrogant. Every nation he captured he insured to make sure that the wife/wives of the king were made to do his bidding for the entire night making them his personal slave and get his desires satisfied only to kill them the following day. Vijay never felt slightest of remorse for them.

However, this was soon about to change it seemed. Emperor Vishwajeet had sent Vijay to scout the Empire of Patlanda and seek any expansion opportunities. The Empire of Patland however devoid of vegetation but this somehow was a boon to them as warriors feared heavily to fight in those arid conditions. Prince Vijay accepted his father's request and set out to Patlanda with a handful of his soldier.

After a long journey, one fine morning he had finally made his ground to the Kingdom of Patiala, also popularly known as Kotha. It was immediately evident as why the nickname was given to this kingdom. Every house had a board outside with the price and age of the girl they were offering. The prince decided to make way to a lodge that offered them a place to stay. This was very close to the river and prince was given the room with a view of the river.  As the prince laid down his weapons and armor his eyes fell on a something, rather someone.

Prince couldn't take his eyes of her. It was the most beautiful lady he had ever laid eyes on. Not only the beauty but it was as if the nature played to her whims and fancies. With every dip she took in the river the water particle flew and glistened in the sunlight making her sparkle. As she came back up the sun shined on her making her skin glow golden. The curves were highlighted perfectly. Just who was this beauty. Prince Vijay called upon his guard and asked.

"Do you know who this lady is? I just can't imagine that such a beautiful lady can be present in a kingdom of prostitutes."

The guard takes a look at her and immediately recognized her. Apparently King Vikram had sent marriage proposals to every empire for his daughter Ra. Emperor Vishwajeet had noticed this and had thought that she can surely help Vijay change his ways and had devised a plan to
send Vijay to Patiala and have him get a look at her. The guards were informed and he replied to Vijay.

"Your Majesty, this if I am not wrong is the princess of this kingdom. Her name is Ra. It is said that King Vikram is looking for a Prince that can marry her."

Vijay thought to himself. He was the kind of person, if he set his eyes on something he ensured it was his. He immediately told the guard.

"Inform King Vikram that I am here to see her daughter and seek her hand for my marriage."

Even the guards were surprised that Prince Vijay who never respected woman wanted to marry the princess. They didn't question his authority and immediately sent a letter to King Vikram.

Withinh hours the king had replied and even extended them an invite to their palace.

Prince Vijay ensured to make him presentable. He visited the river and took a bath. While he was at the river he saw a glimpse of couple of ladies trying to get a look at him. When he looked at them the immediately ran and by their tracks it seemed they were heading to the palace. Were they Princesses's maids.

Vijay let it slide and visited back to his room and put on his purple silk robes. The barber alongside him made sure the Prince had a wellset beard. The prince had asked his servants to get him the best itar and they had brought one that smelled like roses and showered him in the fragrance.
