I yawned and stretched out on my bed, I opened my eyes and looked around my new bedroom, I smiled, Naruto's apartment, I mean, our home/apartment was really not that bad. Well that's what I thought anyway, maybe I was seeing the good in everything recently since I was no longer blind. I smiled to myself and I soon realised what time of year it was. Oh my fudgey monkeys! It was nearly Christmas! Literally, only like two days away!!
Mom and Dad made Christmas a huge deal back at home, I wonder if it was as big here? I yawned and slid out of bed. I pulled on my clothes and and wandered into the kitchen and rumaged down the cupboard. I sweat dropped when I saw the endless stacks of instant ramen. Don't get me wrong, I love ramen but I couldn't live off of it. I sighed and went to check on Naruto. I smiled as I watched him, he was sleeping in the wierdest position, I laughed and closed the door behind me. I pulled on my sandals and left the house.
I ran through the streets and soon I ran out of Konoha's gates and down the highway leading to the forest. I looked around, inspecting the trees, choosing the best one. I spotted the perfect tree just up ahead.
'Perfect!' I grinned, drawing my kunai and lunging at the tree aiming to cut it down with one slice but it still stood, with nothing but a scratch on the bark. I huffed and performed some hand signs.
'Earth styal, giant rock blade!' I said, summoning a giant axe made of sharp rock, from the earth. I flicked my wrist and the giant axe flew at the tree bark, cutting it as if it were as weak as paper. I brought my fist down and the giant axe rock hit the ground, dissolving at the impact. I smiled, pleased with my work and began to haul the heavy tree back to the village. I'd managed to get out of the forrest when a familiar voice called my name.
'K-Kasumi-chan? Is t-that really you?'
I looked up and began grinning from ear to ear, as I saw Hinata, waving at me. She was with two other guys, one with a dog by his side and was wearing a big coat with a fluffy hood and the other had dark lensed glasses and a coat with a big collar that cover most of his face. I ran over to Hinata and gave her a huge hug.
'Hinata! Oh my fudgey monkeys, I've missed you!' I cried happily.
'Oh! M-Me too Kasumi-chan!' Hinata stammered, hugging me back.
'So you're Kasumi, huh?' the Dog boy said. I turned to face him, holding out my hand for him to shake.
'Yup that's me!' I grinned.
'Cool. I'm Kiba, and this here is Akamaru,' Kiba grinned, shaking my hand. I bent down to Akamaru's height and rubbed his head.
'Hey there, Akamaru!' I laughed as he rolled onto his back so I could rub his belly.
'Looks like he likes you Kasumi!' Kiba laughed. I got up and turned to the other guy, holding out my hand again.
'Hi, what's your name?' I asked.
'I'm Shino,' he said. I shook his hand, grinning. I felt something small crawling up my arm and I glanced down to see a bug crawling slowly up my arm. I smiled and used my free hand to scoop it up on my finger.
'And that is one of my bugs,' Shino added. I grinned and placed the bug back in his palm.
'Not scared of bugs?' he asked raising an eyebrow, as if it surprised him.
'Nope, I don't find them scary at all, in fact, I think bugs are quite cool!' I grinned. Shino nodded.
'Hmmm. You don't really get a lot of girls who don't have phobias of creepy crawlies, especially if they also find bugs cool...I like you Kasumi,' he said shaking my hand again. I grinne and turned to Hinata.
'So where are you g-going with that tree, K-Kasumi-cnah?' she asked pointing at the tree which lay on the ground a few feet away. I sighed.
'I'm taking it back to Naruto's we're gonna decorate it together when he wakes up!' I grinned. Kiba looked puzzled.
'You're living with Naruto? Are you two like, going out together?!' he asked. Hinata looked like she was about to faint and Shino's eyebrow was raised again. I laughed and shook my head.
'No! Of course not! Yeah, I do live with him, but that would be gross if we were dating. He's my brother, I'd never date my own brother!' I cringed. Their mouths all dropped open, Kiba's hit the floor. ..
'Y-You're Naruto's s-sister?!' Kiba gasped. I nodded.
'Yup! I only recently found out that we shared the same DNA and I literally just moved in with him, after we came back from our mission yesterday. Hard to believe, right?' I laughed. I still couldn't believe it. No matter, I was so greatful for it though.
'Well, I best be getting home, before my brother wakes up,' I laughed waving to them. Kiba stopped me.
'Hey Kasumi, don't you want a hand with that?' he asked. I smiled at him.
'If you don't mind, that would be great, thanks Kiba,' I said, picking up the tree. Him and the others followed me and pretty soon, we were wandering through Konoha, carrying the tree on our shoulders. I noticed people looking at us weird.
'Umm, Kiba? Why's everyone looking at us weird?' I asked.
'Maybe it's because we're carrying an evergreen tree through the village?' Shino suggested.
'Really? Oh, I thought there was something in my teeth or something,' I said playing along. Shino chuckled.
'Okay, really, doesn't everyone put up a Christmas tree? Don't you guys celebrate Christmas?' I asked, returning to serious mode again.
'Nope, n-not really. Apparently, we stopped c-celebrating C-Christmas, when the Second Shinobi War broke out, we haven't celebrated it since,' Hinata said sadly. I looked around sadly, how could people not celebrate Christmas? I sighed and we slowed down as we came to my apartment.
'Thanks guys, but I'll take it from here, thanks again, catch you later, okay? Merry Christmas!' I waved them off, then hauled the tree up to our apartment. I stood the tree in a large bucket of water and straightened it up. I had a quick peek in on Naruto, who was sleeping in another weird position. I quickly rushed back out to buy some food. On the way back, I found an art and craft store. I picked up some blocks of wood and some colourful paints. I paid and left.
On the way back to the apartment, I picked up some large and small rocks and slipped them into my pockets. I made it back to the apartment in time to pack the shopping away and make some breakfast for Naruto and I.
'WHAAAAA!? K-Kasumi! There's a giant tree in the living room!' Naruto cried, running into the kitchen. I grabbed his arm and sat him down at the table, placing his breakfast in front of him. He was immediately quiet and tucked into his breakfast. I ate mine too.
'So what's with the tree?' he asked, through a mouthful of food.
'Oh come on Naruto! Don't pretend you don't know what time of year it is!' I sighed.
'Well yeah, Christmas but-'
'Exactly! Christmas! That's what the tree's for, we're gonna decorate it!' I cheered. Naruto looked at me puzzled.
'Great idea sis, but we don't have anything to decorate it with!'
I laughed and smirked at him.
'Oh yeah? Well looks like we're gonna have to make some decorations!' I said, producing the bag of paint and wooden blocks. Naruto's face lit up and I slid him a kunai across the table. I slid him a wooden block and the paints.
'Whoever creates the best decorations, doesn't have to pay for dinner at Ichiraku's tonight!' I laughed. Naruto grinned.
'Oh you're on, Kasumi. Try not to look too upset when you're paying for dinner!' he laughed. I rolled my eyes at him and began carving. After about fifteen minutes, Naruto and I had hand carved about twenty decorations in total, some of them had already been painted and were drying.
I remembered the rocks in my pockets and I performed some handsigns. I took a rock in my hand and forced my hands shut. When I opened my hands, I had created my own unique decoration made out of rock, I placed two fingers on the decorations and drained the chakra out of the rock, making it light enough to hang up on the tree.
'Awesome! But I'm nearly finished, sis!' Naruto laughed, presenting me with another ten hand carved decorations, already painted and drying, I looked at him suspiciously.
'How are you working so fast?' I asked him. He nodded and I saw a bunch od Naruto's clones carving and painting decorations.
'Cheeter!' I accuesed, laughing. Naruto stuck his tongue out at me and placed his last decorations on the table.
'I win!' he cheered. I rolled my eyes and finished my last decoration.
'So what do we do now?' Naurto asked, crossing his arms.
'Watch the paint dry?' I suggested. Naruto huffed.
'Hahahaha. No,' he said laughing, then turning dead serious. I sighed, chuckling to myself.
'So what is Christmas really about, sis?' Naruto asked, turning to face me. I looked up at the ceiling, trying to find the right way to explain Christmas to Naruto.
'Well, to tell you the truth, Christmas is the one time of the year when you stop being selfesh and stop only caring about yourself. The time of year when you buy people presents, to show them how much they mean to you and how much you value them in your lives. It's when you give up everything to spend time with people that you love and care for most in the whole wide world. I think you should spend some time with...Hinata,' I said, still looking at the ceiling. And it's my birthday...
'Hinata? I already spend loads of time with her!' Naruto insisted. I rolled my eyes at him.
'You don't really, brother. You should though!' I told him honestly. Naruto sighed, giving in.
'I guess you're right,'
'I'm always right,' I grinned.
'No need to get cocky, sis,' Naruto said. I giggled and poked my tongue out at him.
'So...what should I do about Hinata?' he asked, looking down. I put my hand to my chin, lost in thoguht.
'Aha! Why don't you ask her to go to Ichiraku's with you tonight? She can go instead of me and I'll still pay for dinner, I'll give you the money. Simple! Problem solver!' I grinned.
'Sounds like a plan!' Naruto grinned. 'But what about you?'
'I'll meet up with Sasuke or something, go on, you have fun!' I laughed.
'Okay, but how do I ask her?' Naruto asked, blushing slightly. I rolled my eyes and stood up, pulling him up with me. I pushed him throught into his bedroom and waited outside. He soon came out, dressed and ready.
'Come on then Naruto!' I grinned, taking him by the hand. We ran through Konoha, nearly knocking a few people over until we made it to the Hyuga household. I nudged Naruto forward and he nervously knocked on the big door.
'Yes? Hello? What?' a man with long hair and the same teal eyes as Hinata, opened the door.
'Um, is Hinata, here...sir?' Naruto asked. The man raised his eyebrow.
'Yes, why?' Do you want to speak with her?' the man asked. I nodded.
'Hinata!' he called. We heard panting and Hinata appeared at the door.
'Y-Yes Father?' she stammered. The man pointed to Naruto and I and left. Hinata began blushing slightly.
'Hey, Hinata!' Naruto began. 'Tonight I was uh...umm...Ichiraku? Ramen........you...me?' Naruto struggled. I rolled my eyes and stepped in.
'What Naruto means to say is, well ask, is if you wanted to go to Ichiraku's for some ramen tonight? He's gonna be treating you and he really wants you to come!' I grin.
'But I thought you-' Naruto tried, but I placed my hand over his mouth. Hinata began blushing violently.
'Y-Yes p-please, N-Naruto-kun,' she said, fiddeling with her fingers. I smiled.
'Well it's sorted then! Naruto will be round to pick you up at eight, see you then Hinata!' I smiled, dragging Naruto away and giving her a quick peace sign.
----------------
I waved Naruto off and then quickly rushed round to Sasuke's. I rang on the doorbell and rocked backwards and forwards on my heels as I waited for him to answer.
'Kasumi?' he asked when he opened the door. I grinned.
'Sasuke!' I said, hugging him.
'What are you doing here? I thought you and Naruto were going to Ichiraku's?' he asked.
'Nope, he's taking Hinata instead, so I had this thought, that maybe, because it's nearly Christmas, I should go visit my boyfriend, and we should spend some time together. Good idea, huh?' I grinned. Sasuke chuckled.
'I like that idea. So what do you want to do?' he asked, letting me in. I shrugged.
'Anything, as long as I'm with you,' I smile. Sasuke wraps his arms around me and gives me a quick kiss.
'Okay, how about a race along the rooftops?' he sugests.
'You're on! But can we watch the moon afterwards? It's really big tonight, maybe it's because it's nearly Christmas!' I pleaded.
'Okay then, a race on the rooftops it is,' Sasuke says, pulling me out of the house. He wraps one arm around my waist and he leaps up onto the roof.
'So we start here and finish by the Hokage heads,' I grin, pointing to Hokage Rock. Sasuke chuckles.
'Okay Kasumi. But just because you're my girlfriend, doesn't mean I'll go easy on you,' he laughed. I was already in my start position and Sasuke was still standing, so I did what any mature person would do...
'READY, SET GO!' I yelled, darting off across the roofs before Sasuke had even got into his start position.
'Kasumi!' he called after me.
'See ya at the finish line!' I called back, laughing. I pushed on ahead, suddenly, I heard Sasuke behind me.
'What! But how?' I huffed. Sasuke laughed and ran on ahead.
'Oh no you don't Uchiha!' I laughed. I pulled a kunai out of my pouch and aimed for the top of the Fourth Hokage's head, my Rather's rock...I thrust it and I followed it, appearing atop of my Dad's rock, in time to catch my kunai. I smirked and waited for Sasuke, who appeared about five minutes later.
'There you are! I thought you'd ditched me!' I grinned, poking my tongue out at him. He blinked at me.
'Where did all that speed come from?' he asked, gobsmacked. I shrugged.
'Something I learnt from my father, but I'd never been able to test until now,' I said dismissively.
Sasuke smirked.
'Begginer's luck!' he sighed.
'Well, I guess that means I win,' I said sitting down. I lay back, falling into Sasuke's arm's, who'd slid down behind me.
'Ahhh, isn't the moon nice? It's like a proper Christmas moon,' I sighed closing my eyes. Sasuke sat me up and faced me.
'What's your obssession with Christmas, Kasumi?' he asked.
'It's a special time of year to me. It's when people are kind and loving, everyone is happy, everyone is giving and they all want to spend time with each other, and then when the snow comes-'
'No Kasumi, there's no snow,' Sasuke said, cutting me off. I looked at him funny.
'W-What do you mean, no snow, Sasuke?' I asked.
'It hasn't snowed here in Konoha for years, Kasumi, so don't go getting excited about something that's not possible, okay?' Sasuke said coldly. I bit my lip, what was wrong with him?
'Thanks for the dose of reality,' I said sadly. 'But what's the harm of Christmas?'
Sasuke stood up, leaving me to fall back. I rubbed my back, wincing a bit.
'What is with Christmas! It's a stupid holiday and even more, it's a stupid day! People don't suddenly care about people and buy them a present because it's Christmas! Open your eyes Kasumi! No one in this damn village celebrates your precious Christmas! It's all a load of crap! In fact, I wish the 25th December didn't even exist!' Sasuke yelled angrily. My lip trembled and I had to bite my lip to stop it, my eyes were beginning to water. I stood up slowly, trying not to get angry at Sasuke.
'Okay, that's fine, that's what you think? Fine by me! Christmas day is only my frigging birthday! But you don't want it to exist! So does that mean you don't want me to exist?' I yelled, clenching my fists.
'K-Kasumi? I didn't know it was your birthday then,' Sasuke started. I didn't really want to hear what he had to say, there was no point trying to talk to him when he was in a bad mood. I drew my kunai again and tossed it backwards off of my Dad's rock, I followed it. I caught it, landing in a tree far away from Sasuke and far away from Naruto's apartment. I put the kunai away and wiped my eyes. I sniffled and put on my brave face. I ran through the streets until I made it to a block of apartments. I looked for the right number and knocked on the door.
'Hello?'
'Hi Sensei,' I waved weakly.
'Kasumi? What are you doing here?' Kakashi Sensei asked.
'Sensei, can I ask you something?' I asked.
'Sure!' he said, giving me a one-eyed smile.
'D-Do you celebrate Christmas?' I asked....
-----Le Christmas Day-----
'Naruto, wake up! The Christmas ninja's been!' I yelled excitedly, jumping up and down on his bed. Naruto groaned and hid under his pillow. I rolled my eyes and got off of him.
'Shame Naruto, he even brought some...ramen,' I whispered.
'RAMEN!? WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY SO?' Naruto yelled, jumping out of bed and running into the living room. I followed him out of the room, to see the many presents piled up under our tree. Naruto was about to dive under and open all the presents but I grabbed his collar.
'No, Naruto! We have to get ready first!' I grinned.
'Fine,' Naruto sighed. 'But if I'm dressed first don't think I'm gonna wait for you!' he laughed evilly. I cleared my throat and showed him that I was already dressed.
'Well you'd better wait Kasumi!' he yelled, pointing. I laughed and rolled my eyes at him. He soon reappeared, dressed and ready, about to dive into the presents. I grabbed him again.
'Why don't we wait for everyone else? Those presents aren't all for us!' I said. Naruto looked at me confused.
'Everyone else?'
I nodded and pointed at the door, and as if, right on cue, there was a knock. I strolled over to the door and opened it, revealing all our friends! Hinata, Kiba Shino, Akamaru, Shikamaru, Chouji, Ino, TenTen, Neji, Lee, Sakura, Iruka Sensei, Kurenai Sensei, Asuma Sensei, Gai Sensei, Kakashi Sensei, everyone except Sasuke...
Naruto's mouth dropped open as everyone came running in, squishing in together. We all managed to fit in, huddling around the tree.
'I'll be the one to hand out the presents, because it is a very youthful thing to do! And I am of course youthful,' Gai Sensei announced. We all sat down to open the presents when Naruto stood up.
'Wait, wait, wait! I think we're forgetting something really important,' he says looking at me. I grin at him and everyone quietens down.
'Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you!' Naruto begins singing, really out of tune, and then of course, everyone else follows his lead...
'No! Naruto! You are so embarrassing!' I giggle, hidding my face. Naruto laughs and gets everyone to sing it again before Gai Sensei hands out all the presents. Everyone ends up getting some pretty neat gifts, I got some sweet birthday and Christmas presents from everyone.
'Hey, look! It's snowing!' Ino shouted. Everyone rushed to the window and there are a few 'Oooh's' and 'Aahhh's'.
'Well, I can't believe it, snow in Konoha, after 15 years?' Kurenai Sensei says, hugging Asuma Sensei. Soon everyone returns back to the floor and someone (Naruto), makes a huge order to Ichiraku's ramen bar for our Christmas dinner. I stare at the last remaining presents under the tree, about ten of them, all for Sasuke, my sweet Sasuke. I grit my teeth together, angry at myself for being so nasty and hateful towards him. I stand up and put on my hoodie and some fingerless gloves, before heading up onto the roof to watch the snow fall.
I look up and see the tiny snowflakes falling...now setting on the ground, people all around the village are outside, staring in wonder and in awe at the sight, some have even gotten presents for each other. I hold out my hand and a tiny snowflake lands in my palm, before melting into water. I cuddle my knees to my chest and shiver in the cold, wishing I could turn back time and take back all those horrible things I'd said. I closed my eyes as a cold breeze blew, I sighed, having given up with the cold, I stood up, ready to get off of the roof. A much colder, harsher and harder wind blew, this time, causing me to loose my balance. I gasped as I fell back, I closed my eyes tight, so I wouldn't have to see how I'd die, or get badly injured.
I felt myself falling...until someone caught me in their arms and we landed on top of the roof. I opened my eyes and looked up to see Sasuke, smilling down on me.
'S-Sasuke?' I stammered. He smiled and nodded.
'I-I'm so sorry!' I cried, hugging him tightly.
'No Kasumi, I'm the one that should be sorry, you were right, about everything, Christmas, the moon, the snow...'
'Well, I am always right...'
'No getting cocky with me!' he chuckled. I smiled at him, hiding from behind the long locks of my red hair.
'Don't hide your face, it's a beautiful face,' he smiled, pushing back the hair. I began blushing and a lump formed in my throat.
'Why'd you come back, after all those things I said? After our fight?' I asked.
'Well...I guess it's because...I didn't want to loose you,' Sasuke said, his eyes smiling at me. My eyes widened and I felt my eyes watering.
'I love you Sasuke Uchiha, I always have, and I always will, I promise!' I promised him.
'No where near as much as I love you Kasumi-Akane Namikaze,' he whispered. He leant forward, but I stopped him.
'What is it?' he asked, confused. I rumaged down my pocket and pulled out some mistletoe.
'We nearly forgot the mistletoe,' I whispered. He rolled his eyes, and chuckled, as I held the mistletoe over our heads and we shared our first Christmas kiss, as the snow continued to fall around us...

Happy New Year, my awesome readers and fans! Merry Christmas! I hope you enjoyed this one-shot, i wuv u all! ^^ rate comment and fan!
A/N - Youtube video, all i want for xmas is you. Pic of Minato and Kushina on the side in that scene when Minato tells Kushina that he didn't want to lose her and that's why he came back. What I was trying to do was re-act that scene, with Kasumi and Sasuke, only instead on being ontop of a tree, they're ontop of a roof. Well done my clever readers if you clocked that when you read it! You so clever! >.<
