Chapter 4
---4---
‘Wake up sleepy head,’ Sasuke said, pulling back my curtains. I flinched when the bright light reached my face. I sat up slowly, rubbing my eyes.
‘What was that for, Sasuke-kun?’ I asked sleepily. Sasuke chuckled. I sat up lazily and glared at him.
‘What’s so funny?’ I asked raising my eyebrow. He laughed harder and I pouted.
‘Your hair! It’s...’ he started. I jumped out of bed and tackled him to floor. I was touchy about my hair, I wished people wouldn’t tease me about it. Sasuke chuckled to himself.
‘You’re pretty strong, aren’t you?’ he smirked. I smirked too.
‘And fast,’ I grinned. Sasuke rolled his eyes and I got off him. He stood up and brushed himself off. I noticed that he was already dressed. I limped back over to my bed and began making it. Sasuke appeared on the opposite side and began helping me. I glanced up for a split second, catching his eye. I blushed and glued my eyes back to the bed sheets. Sasuke chuckled to himself again. I blushed harder. What was this strange fuzzy feeling? Why was I going the same colour as my hair? HELP!!
----
Sasuke helped me out of the house again. We headed to the Hokage’s office. My spirits lifted. Maybe Dad would be in his office! I tried to break into a run but then I remembered my ankle so it became difficult. Instead I took it up a pace and tugged at Sasuke’s arm. He realised I was desperate to do something so he deliberately went slowly. Inside I was screaming and jumping up and down but I tried to keep my cool by biting my lip. We made it to the stairs and I sighed. Sasuke helped me hop up the long flight of stair. I nearly burst into the Hokage’s room but Sasuke stopped me.
‘The old man doesn’t like to be disturbed, I’ll go first,’ he said putting his arm in front of me. Wait. Old man?? My father wasn’t old! Then it dawned on me, it wasn’t my Dad, was it? Sasuke knocked and an old croaky voice answered. It definitely was not my father.
‘Come in Sasuke,’ the voice croaked. We went in and I saw an old man sitting in the seat where my father would’ve sat. My heart sank.
‘Who’s this?’ the old man.
I looked up and put on a fake smile.
‘I’m Kasumi Akane Namikaze, sir,’ I said bowing. Again I left out my other surname. Maybe this old bloke would know my father’s surname, rather than my mother’s. The old man’s eyes widened.
‘Namikaze, you say?’ he said, eying me up and down. I fiddled with my red hair nervously.
‘And you graduated here?’ he asked raising an eyebrow.
‘Yes, sir,’ I mumbled looking at my feet.
‘Well, I certainly haven’t seen you around before, but no worry, I’ll sort everything out so you can be put into a squad, for now. If you’d just fill out this form...’ he chuckled to himself. I walked over to him slowly and saw a form on his desk. It was in a book, a ninja profile. That’s all. I gulped and picked up and pen and began writing.
---------
Sasuke helped me into the Academy classroom, one I recognised as my own, I headed over to my usual seat when Sasuke grabbed my arm.
‘No, come sit with me, the other’s won’t give you any trouble if you stick by me,’ he said, winking at me. I smiled and followed him. I sat next to Sasuke and soon found a load of girls pointing and whispering at me. I bowed my head, embarrassed. It was my hair wasn’t it? They suddenly stopped and I turned to see Sasuke glaring at them. I turned to face him.
‘Don’t let them bother you,’ he whispered. I nodded sadly.
‘Was it my hair?’ I asked sadly. Sasuke’s eyes widened, he hesitated and shrugged. I knew he didn’t want to say that it was my hair. I just left it at that. Suddenly a boy with blonde hair and blue eyes burst in. My eyes widened. He looks like my Dad! He took the seat next to me. I noticed he had strange black markings on his face, like whiskers? It wasn’t face paint, was it? Soon another boy, with his headband around his arm walks past. He gasped and stopped starring at the boy who looked like my Dad.
‘What are you doing here Naruto? This isn’t for drop outs, you shouldn’t be here unless you’ve graduated!’ he said surprised. That was a bit...rude? The boy next to me, now I know his name, Naruto! That sounds familiar though? Naruto sat up and turned to the other boy.
‘Oh yeah, you see this? Open your eyes Shikamaru! This is my graduation headband, we’re gonna be training together now! How’d you like that?’ Naruto grinned fiddling with his head band. I smiled to myself. Those too didn’t seem that bad.
‘I look great in this head gear, like it was made for me, believe it!’ Naruto grinned, fiddling again. My eyes widened. My Mom would say similar things like believe it! I wonder...what’s the deal with this Naruto?
I noticed a shy looking girl with short blue-ish/black hair, smiling and blushing down at Naruto. I smiled to myself. Aww, she must really like this Naruto, mustn’t she? I turned back to the front of the class. Suddenly too girls appeared at the door. Pushing and shoving against each other. One had long pink hair and wore hear ninja headband as a hair band and the other girl had nice long blonde hair with a stylish fringe. She wore head headband around her waist like a belt.
‘I’M FIRST!’ they both yelled, then began gasping for breath. They looked like they’d just ran a marathon. I turned to Sasuke. He kept glaring at the front of the classroom. I sighed sadly and began plaiting my long red hair into braids.
‘I win again Sakura!’
‘Oh forget it, I was definitely a toe ahead of you!’ the two girls started arguing. Suddenly Naruto perked up and began blushing like crazy. I wonder which one he liked out of those two? Pinkie, who I learnt was called Sakura, stared over in our direction. She had a dreamy face and she ran over to us.
‘Hey Sakura!’ Naruto grinned. Sakura pushed past him, causing Naruto to fall on the floor.
‘Move it!’ she growled. I pouted, that wasn’t nice.
‘What was that for?!’ I demanded. She ignored me and started talking to Sasuke. I slid across the bench and offered Naruto my hand.
‘Let me help you,’ I smiled holding my hand out to him.
He looked up at me, shocked. I blushed, was he staring at my hair?
‘Gee, thanks,’ he said taking my hand. I pulled him up.
‘I’ve never seen you around before, what’s your name?’ he asked me. I smiled.
‘I’m Kasumi Akane Namikaze, you’re Naruto right?’ I smiled. Naruto nodded.
‘Yup, that’s me!’ he said giving me a thumbs up. I smiled and chuckled to myself. I looked back to see Sakura.
‘Good morning Sasuke!’ she squealed. Oh I get it now. She likes Sasuke. Sasuke grunted.
‘Mind if I sit next to you?’ she asked. All of a sudden, blondie was back and she grabbed Sakura’s arm.
‘Back off forehead, I’m sitting next to Sasuke!’ Soon those two were arguing again and a whole army of fan girls were surrounding Sasuke, arguing about who was sitting next to him. I sighed, Naruto and I stayed clear, at the back of the crowd. Sasuke just sighed again.
‘Grrrr,’ Naruto growled. I gasped and found him crouching on the desk, glaring at Sasuke suspiciously.
There was definitely some tension between those two.
‘NARUTO! STOP GLARING AT SASUKE!’ Sakura yelled. She had her army of fan girls behind her and they were all giving Naruto the evils. Naruto looked hurt by her sudden outburst. But then he turned back to an agitated and pissed off (excuse my language) Sasuke.
All the girls started yelling at Naruto. Then, the guy in front of Naruto sat back laughing. My eyes widened. Oh no!
‘Sorry, did I bump you? Huh!?’
Everyone in the room’s mouths dropped open, even mine. Naruto and Sasuke were kissing...on the lips! Sakura screamed and fell back. Naruto and Sasuke pulled away, grossed out.
‘Ewwwwwww!’ Naruto yelled, clutching his throat. Sasuke looked equally disgusted. They both coughed and Naruto brushed his tongue. He glanced up, noticing the army of fuming fan girls.
‘Naruto, you are so dead!’ Sakura growled.
‘Wait! It was an accident!’ Naruto protested.
‘You’re finished!’ Sakura yelled cracking her knuckles. I flinched as the fan girl army charged at Naruto. When they’d finished with him, poor Naruto was left bruised and his face looking deformed, with steam coming off him. I crouched beside him.
‘Naruto-kun, are you alright!?’ I asked desperately.
‘I-I can’t feel my face,’ he stammered. I face palmed. One day, I’d get those girls back for this, especially that Sakura. I helped him into his seat, next to Sakura who was sitting next to Sasuke. I sighed and went to sit next to the shy looking girl. She flinched and blushed when I sat next to her.
‘Are you alright?’ I asked her.
‘D-do you like N-Naruto-kun t-too?’ she asked sadly, playing with her fingers. I laughed quietly.
‘Oh no! Of course not! I’ve barely known him five minutes! He’s all yours,’ I smiled.
She blushed harder, her eyes going wide.
‘H-how did you k-know?’ she asked looking down. I shrugged and held out my hand for her to shake.
‘Hi, sorry if we got off to a bad start, I’m Kasumi Akane Namikaze!’ I smiled. The shy girl looked at my hand and then shook it quickly.
‘Oh no, of course not! M-m-my name is Hinata Hyuuga, pleased to m-meet you, Kasumi-chan!’ she said shaking my hand. I smiled and she smiled back.
‘Sorry but I’ve n-never seen you a-around b-before,’ Hinata stammered.
‘Yeah, I was born and brought up here and then I moved away, I’ve only just come back, I graduate yesterday,’ I smiled. That would have to be my story from now on. A sensei walked into the class, he had a painful looking scar across his nose. Ouch, I wonder what happened to him?
‘Who’s that Hinata?’ I asked.
‘O-oh, that’s Iruka Sensei,’ she answered.
‘Oh,’ I nodded.
‘Hello class, as of today, you’re all ninjas, to get here, you’ve faced difficult trials and hardships, but that’s nothing, what’s next will be far more difficult. Now you’re only Gennin, first level ninjas. All the Gennin will be grouped into three man squads. Each squad will be lead by a Jounin, an elite ninja,’ Iruka Sensei said.
Sakura and blondie, who I found out was called Ino, started bickering again, this time about who would be in Sasuke’s team. I sighed. Poor Sasuke. I’ll feel really sorry for the people and Sensei’s that get stuck with those two.
‘We want each squad to have a balance of strength and abilities, so that’s how we set them up, I will now announce the squads!’ Iruka Sensei said reading the list of paper.
People we being paired and I listened out for my name, nervously. What if the old man forgot to put me down! Oh no, I didn’t want everyone to look at me weird!
‘Squad 7 is... Naruto Uzumaki!’
I flinched. Uzumaki? No it couldn’t be, I was just hearing things!
‘Sakura Haruno,’
Sakura’s face fell but Naruto’s lit up.
‘YEEEEAAAAHHH!’ Naruto cried standing up. I face palmed. Sakura’s head dropped and she started sulking.
‘I’m doomed!’ she whinned.
‘And Sasuke Uchiha!’ my heart fell, I wasn’t in a group with either Naruto or Sasuke, the only people I really knew. Oh well, there was always Hinata! Sakura leapt up and screamed out.
‘WOHOOO! YAAAA!’ Naruto fell back into his seat.
‘I’m doomed!’ he groaned. Hinata bowed her head sadly beside me. I glanced at her and put my arm around her.
‘It’s okay Hinata, there’ll be plenty of chances for you and Naruto to hang out together,’ I said trying to convince her. She smiled sadly.
‘Maybe,’ she whispered.
‘Squad 8, Hinata Hyuuga,’
‘Yes sir!’ Hinata called. I crossed my fingers and pleaded.
‘Kiba Inuzuka, Shino Aburame,’ Sensei finished. My heart fell. Now I had no chance. Iruka Sensei finished reading out the squads, my name wasn’t on there anywhere. I sighed, distancing myself from all the noise, Naruto protesting. I snapped back to reality when the harsh words left Sasuke’s mouth.
‘Don’t get in my way, loser,’ he scowled. My eyes widened. That wasn’t the Sasuke I knew.
‘After lunch, you’ll meet your new Sensei’s, don’t be late. Until then, class dismissed!’ Iruka Sensei said. Everyone piled out of the class room. I stayed seated.
‘Aren’t you coming Kasumi-chan?’ Hinata asked. I shook my head.
‘My name didn’t get read out, so I’ll stay back to sort it out, you go on, I’ll catch up later, okay?’ Hinata smiled weakly and ran out, following Naruto. Sakura left with Ino. I sighed and watched as Sasuke came towards me.
‘They didn’t read out your name? Trust the old man to sort it out, come on, let’s go,’ Sasuke grunted. I stood up and followed him.
‘Um, excuse me, Iruka Sensei,’ I asked. Iruka Sensei turned and smiled at me.
‘Oh, hi, sorry, but I don’t know your name,’ he said bending down to my height.
‘Kasumi Akane Namikaze,’ I answered. Iruka Sensei stood up straight.
‘Ahh, you must be new, do you know what Squad you’ve been assigned?’ he asked. I shook my head.
‘No Sensei, my name wasn’t called out,’
‘Oh, I see,’ Iruka Sensei said flicking through the sheets again. Sasuke nudged my shoulder.
‘It’ll be okay, they’ll sort it Kasumi,’ he whispered.
‘Ah, here we are! I’m really sorry Kasumi, but I didn’t see your name earlier, I can now confirm that you’re squad is a four man squad, you’ll be joining Squad 7 with Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura!’ I jumped up and down.
‘Thank you Sensei!’ I yelled.
This is gonna be great! I’ll be able to train with Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura! Wait what? Sakura!? Oh, I’m doomed!
Sasuke and I headed out for lunch. I went off to get some ramen and Sasuke went off somewhere else.
‘Meet you back here, alright Kasumi?’ Sasuke said.
‘Hai,’ I said nodding.
------
We were sitting back in the classroom, I’d had a great lunch, that ramen really hit the spot! I sighed to myself and looked around the classroom, everyone except us, had already gone off.
‘Hmph, he’s late,’ Naruto moaned. I sighed and sat next to Sasuke.
‘You okay?’ I asked him. He nodded. I smiled to myself, blushing. Why’d I feel like this? I’ve never ever felt something as weird but as pleasant as this. I watched as Naruto looked out of the classroom door for the millionth time.
‘Naruto! Just sit down!’ Sakura said angrily.
‘I don’t want to, how come our teacher’s the only one that’s late? I’m ready to roll! Believe it!’ Naruto answered back. I sighed. He has a point.
‘The other groups already met their new teachers and took off on some adventure or something and Iruka Sensei’s gone too,’
‘We know, okay?’ Sakura sighed. ‘Hey, what are you doing!?’
Sasuke and I both looked up and saw Naruto placing one of those chalk board erasers in the gap of the door. He chuckled to himself. I smiled to myself, he’s just like me, playing pranks whenever he can, wanting to be acknowledged...
‘NARUTO!’ Sakura yelled, placing her hands on her hips.
‘That’s what he gets for coming late! Surprise!’ Naruto grinned, pleased with his master plan.
‘You’re asking for trouble, you know you shouldn’t do that,’ Sakura lectured. Sasuke just grunted again. I glanced down and began twiddling my hair again. I didn’t understand, why was Sasuke acting like this?
‘Our teacher’s a Jounin, an elite ninja, you think he’d fall for that?’ Sasuke muttered.
‘Yeah, Sasuke’s right. You’re so clueless Naruto,’ Sakura said harshly.
‘Couldn’t have said it nicer, huh Sakura?’ I muttered under my breath. She turned to me.
‘What was that Tomato?’ she sneered. I clenched my fists and stood up. Sasuke grabbed my arm and tugged at it gently. I glanced at him and he shook his head. I sat down, growling and cursing under my breath.
‘Just you wait Pinkie,’ I growled. Sakura crossed her arms. I glanced at the door. A fingerless gloved hand was about to pull back the door. That probably sounded strange, fingerless gloved hand...hehe...
I sat up, longing to see the reaction on this guy’s face. I knew that Sasuke was probably right but still, it would be hilarious to see this guy’s reaction.
BOMP
The eraser dropped onto the jounin’s head and then onto the floor. Five seconds of awkward silence filled the room, until suddenly, Naruto burst out laughing. I giggled quietly to myself but then I saw that the Jounin was wearing a mask and a head band that covered his left eye. My eyes widened.
‘I got him! He totally fell for it, hahahaha!’ Naruto laughed pointing. I face palmed, Naruto, you do not wanna mess with this guy.
‘I’m so sorry Sensei! I told him not to do it but he wouldn’t listen! I’d never do anything like that!’ Sakura apologised. I glared at her. Oh yeah I forgot, she’s Saint Sakura, of the angelic.
Sasuke glared at the Jounin. I glanced at the Jounin, he looked pretty calm but I bet he wanted to kill Naruto. I knew a lot about this guy, my father had been his sensei. His name was Hatake Kakashi and he became a Jounin level just before he turned 13! He wasn’t anywhere a good a ninja as my father but he was still an awesome ninja. He was probably the second most powerful ninja I knew of. Funny how I’d never seen him until now...
Kakashi picked up the eraser off the floor and scratched his masked chin.
‘Hmmm, how can I put this? My first impressions of this group...you’re a bunch of idiots,’ Kakashi Sensei said. We all glared at him.
‘Gee thanks,’ I muttered.
------------
‘Alright, why don’t you introduce yourselves, one at a time,’ the Jounin said causually.
‘Introduce ourselves?’ Sakura asked. I rolled my eyes, I wanted to slap her in the face. No Sakura, let’s all be strangers to one another! No, duh!
‘Well, what are we supposed to say?’ she asked. I mentally face palmed, how dumb was this girl? Kakashi Sensei uncrossed his arms.
‘Things you like, things you hate, dreams for the future, hobbies, things like that,’ he said crossing his arms again.
‘Why don’t you tell us stuff first, I mean before we talk tell us about you so we can see how it’s supposed to work,’ Naruto said.
‘Me? I Kakashi Hatake. Things I like, things I hate...I don’t feel like telling you that,’ he said casually.
‘Huh?’ Naruto and Sakura gasped.
‘My dreams for the future, I’ve never thought about it, as for my hobbies...I have lots of hobbies,’
Sakura scolded.
‘That was useless. All he really told us was his name,’ she muttered. I nodded in agreement. She was right about that.
‘Okay, your turn, you on the right, you first,’ Kakashi said nodding towards Naruto.
‘Believe it, I’m Naruto Uzumaki! I like instant ramen in a cup, I really like the ramen that Iruka Sensei got me at the Ichiraku noodle shop, but I hate the three minutes you have to wait when you pour the water in the ramen cup. My hobby is eating different kinds of ramen and comparing them. And my future dream is...to be the greatest Hokage! Then the whole village will stop disrespecting me and start treating me like I’m somebody, somebody important!’ Naruto said proudly, fiddling with his ninja headband. My eyes widened. Did he just say Uzumaki, again? Maybe I was hearing things a lot more? I knew loads of people just happened to have the same or similar sounding surnames, but have no relation at all, maybe that’s it. Yeah, that’s it! But now I know why he was so shocked that I’d offered him my help, back when Sakura pushed him over. He was never shown or treated with any respect. The whole village hated him, but what had he done that was so bad? I promised myself that I would never hate Naruto, and that I’d stick up for him in any situation.
Kakashi’s eye widened.
‘Alright, next,’ he said looking at Sakura.
‘I’m Sakura Haruno. What I like, uh...I mean the person I like is...umm, my hobby is, uh, my dream for the future is...’ Sakura started before squealing and burying her face in her hands. She was hyped about Sasuke wasn’t she? She kept staring at him with those scary fan girl eyes. It was just creepy.
‘And...? What do you hate?’ Kakashi sighed.
Sakura sat up angrily.
‘NARUTO!’ she yelled angrily. Naruto’s face cringed and squealed a bit.
‘Girls her age are more interested in boys than in ninja training,’ Kakashi sighed. I growled.
‘Nope, not me!’ I muttered. Kakashi must’ve heard. Kakashi looked at me and nodded.
‘Okay, you then,’ he challenged. I smirked.
‘I’m Kasmui Akane Namikaze, what I like...I like training, RAMEN, trying to beat my dad and I love to fight, it’s fun and it’ll make me a stronger ninja. What I hate...’ I paused. I was gonna say Sakura and get back at her for saying that to Naruto but I held my tongue.
‘I hate...someone,’ I said, narrowing my eyes at Sakura. She didn’t see because she was too busy drooling over Sasuke. Kakashi sighed.
‘My hobbies are training, playing pranks, eating ramen,’ I smirked to myself. ‘My dreams for the future, I guess I haven’t thought about it yet,’ I lied. I know Sasuke had said I sucked at lying but I think I might of convinced Kakashi Sensei on this one. I actually wanted to become the next Hokage after my father, but that would be stealing Naruto’s dream so I left my dream out. I also left out my search for the nine-tails, if this masked guy trusted me to bring him the nine tails then I had to do it alone, it wouldn’t be fair to get other people sucked into my trouble, the last thing I wanted to do was cause any harm.
‘And finally, you,’ Kakashi pointed at Sasuke.
Sasuke grunted again.
‘My name is Sasuke Uchiha. I hate a lot of things and I don’t particularly like anything,’ he mumbled looking straight ahead.
Sakura gasped.
‘What I have is not a dream, because I will make it reality. I’m going to restore my clan and destroy a certain someone,’ he glared. My eyes widened. But why did I see all of the Uchiha’s in my everyday life, back before I ran into that masked man? Hmm...
We all sat in awkward silence, staring at Sasuke, I tried not to but I couldn’t help it. This wasn’t the Sasuke that had practically saved my life and treated me like family; no this was a darker, much more mysterious Sasuke.
‘Good, you’re each unique and have your own ideas. We’ll have our first mission tomorrow,’ Kakashi said.
‘Huuup! What kinda mission are we going to have?’ Naruto asked, saluting.
‘It’s a task that the 5 of us will do together,’
‘What, what, what, WHAT?’ Naruto asked excitedly.
‘A survival exercise,’
‘Huh, a survival exercise?’
‘I thought we were supposed to have a real mission, not more practise. We already did this stuff at the Academy, that’s how we got here,’ Sakura protested.
‘This is not like you previous training,’
‘So uh, so uh, what kinda training is it then?’ Naruto asked. Kakashi began chuckling to himself.
I crossed my arms across my chest.
‘What’s so funny, Kakashi Sensei? That was a normal question,’ I demanded.
‘Hmhm, well if I told you the answer, you’re not going to like it,’ Kakashi sung, chuckling again. I smirked.
‘Try me,’ I smirked.
‘Of the 28 graduates who just came here, only 9 will actually be accepted as Gennin. The other 19 will be waited out and sent back to the Academy. In other words, this is a make it or break it, pass fail test. And the chance that you’ll fail is at least 66%,’ Kakashi said seriously.
We all glared at him.
‘See, didn’t I tell you, you wouldn’t like it?’ he chuckled again.
‘THAT’S CRAZY! We worked hard to get here! Believe it! What was the graduation test for anyway?’ Naruto yelled.
‘Oh that? It was just to select candidates who might become Gennin,’
‘WHAAT!?’
‘That’s just how it is. I decide whether you pass or fail. Be it the designated training spot at five am. And bring your ninja gear,’ Kakashi ordered.
We all sat, lost in our own thoughts.
‘That’s it, you’re dismissed,’ Kakashi said waving his arm at us. ‘Oh, and tomorrow you’d better skip breakfast, or else, you’ll puke,’ Kakashi said sweetly. My eyes widened but I clenched my fists.
Game on, each task I get and complete successfully brings me closer to protecting my family and my village. I won’t let them down, I won’t! ‘ttebane! Like my mother would always say.
When Kakashi Sensei had left, Naruto and Sakura got up to leave.
‘Bye, Sakura-chan, bye Kasumi-chan! Sasuke,’ Naruto said before turning home. I waved.
‘Bye Naruto-kun!’ I called. Sakura said her goodbyes too.
‘Bye Kasumi. Goodbye Sasuke! Sleep well! See you tomorrow!’ she ran off waving. Soon it was just me and Sasuke.
‘Bye Sasuke-kun,’ I said waving and limping off.
‘Where on earth do you think you’re going, Kasumi-chan?’ he asked standing up.
‘I’ll find somewhere, besides you said I could only stay for one night,’ I said limping off. Sasuke ran up and grabbed me, throwing me over his shoulders again. I laughed.
‘Is this gonna become a regular thing with you?’ I asked laughing. Sasuke chuckled to himself.
‘Maybe, but you can stay with me from now on, until you find somewhere else, what’s mine is yours,’ he chuckled. I sighed. I wasn’t going to win against an Uchiha.
‘Fancy some ramen on the way home?’ he asked. I gasped.
‘Oh my gosh yeah! Ramen!’ I squealed. Sasuke chuckled and carried me back to his apartment. We got some ramen and then headed back.
‘Goodnight Sasuke,’ I said smiling, before closing my bedroom door.
‘Goodnight Kasumi-chan,’ Sasuke smiled. I flopped onto my bed, I had to get some rest, I had a long day of intense training tomorrow, my ankle would be much better tomorrow. So resting now will make it easier to fight. I closed my eyes, smiling to myself, until I was lost in my dreams...
